And somehow... he even found a couple action figures he didn't already have, which is honestly rare because it feels like he owns everything. That alone made it worth the stop. The staff was super friendly, the store was clean and really well organized, and the selection was solid. Pricing felt competitive too, which I always appreciate. Definitely worth a visit if you're into collectibles--even if you're just tagging along like me, it's a fun stop. I just wish they had some "wife" seating so I could have relaxed while he shopped. I was really tired and sore from going to a concert the night before. But I did lean on the glass cases for some relief and no one got upset.

The events are well-coordinated and the hosts are always friendly, one even remembers me by name. The fellow magic patrons are generally friendly and generally less-competitive than you'll find at Enchanted Grounds or Wizard's Chest. (The events at this game store are usually stated as more about having fun than the competition.) I've always had fun here. All of these events have taken about as long as expected even though some start a little late due to demand. Sometimes events are coordinated online. When it comes to prizes, it's a pack-a-match win. You choose your won pack from current standard, in-universe set packs. Special events may have additional prizes. When it comes to cost/value for your money, they're better than at least half of the game stores I've played at for similar events. As far as the location, they're located along historic, downtown Golden. A lot of restaurants and shops up-and-down the street if you come early. Given when their events are usually timed, there's free ramp parking behind the store. This is my favorite game store I've ever played magic at out of a total of 9 between the areas of Longmont, Boulder, Golden, Littleton, Denver and Castle Rock.

Owner is super friendly and helpful. It's two floors of comics and collectibles, and we spent a good hour there exploring (great selection)! The basement is horror-themed and I would NOT wanna be trapped down there at night with the lights down low or off....very creepy! Lots of creative horrific decor from decaying skeletal figures to crazy clowns (the worst) to sofa chairs you'd think twice about sitting on. Every square inch is carefully thought out. Dollar comics and used graphic novels downstairs, found a couple Star Wars ones for $2-3 that we picked up for a friend's 10-year-old. Also available in the basement were whole packets of limited series sold together for convenience. These guys are here for the customer! Some clothing, pins, boots, Tshirts, lots of collectible toys! There were boardgames and card games (i.e. Magic/Pokémon/etc...). On the other side was tables for miniatures to do battle! It took a few laps around looking at all the product to see what was there for sale. Good selection of games, minis, paints, game books, and cards. I'd have to say the cards probably make up the lion share but the game side is not small by any means. I was looking for some stuff and happened on to the employee who was doing inventory. He walked me over to what I was looking for. I was glad, wallet not so much! I just came to look! Honest! The energy is good in the store. I didn't ask if it costs to rent game space nor did I spot any food options (didn't really look.). The employees II talked to were all very helpful with whatever I asked.
