Just wanted a place to work on my computer, and ultimately that's what I got. Enchanted Grounds is a cafe and game emporium. Like for real, they have such a huge selection of games. Bright, tacky colored walls, one guy was sleeping in one of the booths, a giant group of 80+ year olds at the big community table, and gamers galore on a Wednesday afternoon. For a MtG prerelease with very limited seats, for a set I was very excited for I called early in the week to understand how they handle prerelease events. Per their site, and Per the conversation with their employee, there wer no pre-event sign-ups, and a half an hour before the event they would start registering people. I asked if there was pre-queueing, and was told that happens, so I asked if showing up fifteen minutes early would give a good chance for making the limited seating. What can I say, I was excited. I invited my friends and we were all going to be there early. In total, five of us. Well, as I was pulling up 15 minutes before the event, I found out they had done a sign up, and before they were even supposed to be starting to register folks, they had run out of seats. And the answer to why they did exactly what they had told us they were not going to do? Management decided the night before to change things. I regret having suggested to my friends that we go there for the event. I regret that those friends purchased a draft box at above MSRP from this store in an attempt to save the evening. I regret that they decided to buy beverages there, as our evening had been ruined by Enchanted Grounds' management team. Will I be back? Maybe. Will I trust them on their event descriptions? Nope.

This store is located in the Aspen Grove shopping center and is surrounded by lots of stores but their local and variety of kid-friendly toys is worth the trip! In all of the times I've come, I've never been told to not touch something or put something back. They have a lot of the items available to check out, touch, play with so you get a great idea of what you are buying. And the woman who is typically working the counter has great information to share and ideas to give you. Great experience and a fun, fun toy store!

I first purchased a smart/programmable robot for around $70 and upon bringing it home found that it was not weighted properly and just making it walk forward made it fall. I returned it the next day and purchased another toy that I thought couldn't be messed up. Wrong. I had purchased a simple Newtons Cradle, the desk toy that has 5 balls that uses momentum to swing back and forth for a while. Within only 5 minutes of using it, one of the silver balls started peeling. 4 silver balls, one copper ball. For $36 bucks I didn't expect a product that has been cheaply painted. When I returned to make the second return the staff claimed, "they've never had one return" and huffed and puffed like I had done something wrong. She did refund me, but was passive aggressive the entire time and ended it with "maybe there was a defect with the toys". Ya think? Off to Amazon.
