Pros: This place has a ton of cards, and they get the new things quickly. They have a reward program to get free cards/discounts weekly and monthly by earning raffle tickets with purchases. Cons: They sell at market price, which means way above MSRP. They have the feeling of a boys' club that I can't say I'm particularly comfortable with. The service was horrible. Absolutely horrible not helpful at all walked away from me when I had questions. Mike only felt obligated to help me after he could hear I was in the phone upset. He was not helpful and not only him but his employees had attitude and acted clueless when I needed help. The way I was treated was ridiculous. After we came in again to pick up Mike ignored us. The are very unorganized and rude. There was multiple times they were just sitting down watching tv instead of helping their customers. Not happy at all. read more

I have visited a handful of times over the past few years. What was once a card shop that one could happily support has now turned into scalpers with a brick and mortar store. For high-demand releases I don't even expect them to sell at MSRP, but they aren't even coming close to the scalpers on ebay. I'm motivated to support local card shops - but only when they deserve the support. I understand stores have overhead and payroll but this shop has turned into an overpriced cesspool that I won't step in anymore. read more

I have to refute many of these negative reviews. I came in here last weekend for the first time with my 6 and 4 year old boys. Last time I was in a card shop was 25+ years ago. The game has changed. We were in there for a good hour. Kids running around the store, putting their hands on everything. Sean was welcoming and patiently answered all my questions, explaining how things work today. Mike (I think it was him) is a unique personality, but he explained to me all about how he prices cards and how value moves over time. We'll be back this Sat for sure (they have some sort of raffle drawing each Sat to suck us back in, too). I appreciate supporting a longstanding small business too. read more

Worst experience in a card shop ever. Mike himself is a horrible person for so many reasons. I will never go back nor should anyone. Honestly they have a big selection of cards, but it's not worth the time because they don't even care for good service and they are not helpful at all. Not a bad shop a lot of choice for wax. $1 box are on the back wall and you can spend a day digging through. Singles were not all that great and a little high priced. When I get to Denver in the future I would go buy some wax. read more

Hey Mike, assuming that was you that helped me today. Here is a nice review to add to your 'story'. As a word of advice and basic rule, to be used in any retail business, don't ridicule a paying customer. Clearly your shop is not for vintage cards, no problem. But your level of education as to what is a reasonable charge, on the incredibly low grade vintage cards you have, is as embarrassing as your attitude. Your other selections were decent, albeit a bit over priced. Folks, your money is much better spent at the other well known long standing sports card store in Denver (easy google search), with better prices, better product, and better customer interaction. Mike, feel free to now add your snarky, defensive, and presumably made up side of the story, as seen in your many childish responses. What an ego! This guy is a fool *and to note. These cards had creases, major paper loss, pen and marker drawings, and rounded corners. I still offered him more than market price. read more

Best place you have to go to if your a collector of any kind of sports or game carda. Just recently had the pleasure of finding this shop. And boy it did not let me down. Asked if they could put me up a box of Pokémon Obsidian Flames and to pick me a good one. Did not disappoint. Soon as I got home I began to rip and what did we find!?!?! Yep, you might havegl guessed it. Charizard Secret Art Rare!!!. The one card everyone is trying to chase down and catch. And boom!! Just like that. My race is over. Not only do they have the best prices, but wtf..... apparently the best boxes also. Only takes on box, well I proved that by going to Mike's. Will not shop any where else. Their pokemon booster packs are literally 3x market price. And if you get a raffle ticket you have to go all the way into the store even in snowy bad weather conditions or live far just to see if you won. I get that's some kinda way to get people in but if they have a raffle ticket they already were. Had 3 and none won and because his packs were terrible pricing I bought nothing and drove through snowy crappy weather. There are so many other places. read more

When my bf and I were looking for a card shop that retails pokemon cards, we looked up what was close to us. We were very lucky to stumble upon such an awesome business. We called ahead to make sure they had pokemon cards and to our surprise this place is not only very good at picking up the phone, but it was busy inside! Finding Mike's place what like hitting the jackpot! If pokemon cards are sold out around you, check this place out! They have plenty of boxes and we had so many amazing pulls!!! 3 secret rare (zamazentaV, 2 physic energy) pulls later, this is officially our favorite place. They also are so nice to give away some freebies like coins, posters, energy cards, and code cards! This is just a side note, but Mike and the staff are really funny and easy to talk to as well. Like other people these days, I've decided to jump on the sport card bandwagon after the MJ documentary. After assessing my Dad's collection we decided to find a quality place to take a look and price them out. We stumbled across Mike's place and I am happy we did! Mike was beyond welcoming to my sister and I. I was hesitant in walking in because I am not familiar with the industry and was worried I might be treated differently because of that. He spent time after hours reviewing our collection, informing us of what he had, pricing cards in front of us using a broker site. We were able to receive a very fair price for our cards and left planning on doing business again! Thank you Mike! So nice to have local card shops around and Mike's shop is the best. I brought in a collection of sports cards and he offered me a very detailed breakdown of what he thought each card comp-ed for and we made a deal. I think as someone who's in the hobby or getting back into it like I am having people around who love it like Mike and his staff do is absolutely wonderful. Also just a psa if you are selling cards watch a few videos on how to comp your cards on youtube and don't expect 100% value for all your cards. Realize that if you are selling to a dealer they have to make money too. If you're selling off of ebay you are already losing 10% off the top from the fees and if you sell over 600 dollars uncle sam is going to want their portion too so keep that in mind when trying to negotiate a price for your cards. I googled a trading card location near me and it pulled up Mikes Stadium Sportscards. My son has found a new love for trading cards and I know absolutely nothing about trading cards. Mike was there and greeted us with a smile and offered my son 2 big boxes of trading cards that someone had just brought in...He found many exciting cards in those boxes. We did purchase some card and the man behind the register was also very nice and knowledgeable. Had a great experience at MSS last week on my very first visit! Met with Mike to review a large collection I was looking to sell for a friend. He took the time to review each and every set I brought in and it was a haul (9 bins) and offered a very fair price for everything. The process took a while which was to be expected, but what amazed me through it all was Mike's approach not only to me as a new customer / seller but to everyone else that came into the store during the 3+ hours I was there. He took the time to great everyone with a hello and a warm welcome, answered each call that came in with the same approach, all the while making sure that I was being taken of. These days "service" is definitely suffering, but not at Mike's. He and his team provide a friendly, professional environment. They are passionate about their craft and are clearly a "destination" for folks in the card game. I'd recommend him for anyone who's interested in cards from the casual fan to the serious collector! Mike always has a lot of great autograph sessions with the local athletes and other celebrities. I finally went in to take advantage of the Phillip Lindsay signing. Due to work, I wasn't able to make it. So I just dropped it off. I ended up hanging out there for longer than I expected, Mike has a ton items for any sports collectors out there. Fast-forward a week, due to the overwhelming public response, the Phillip Lindsay exceeded expectations, and my jersey was a forgotten item amid chaos. Unfortunately, my jersey will have to wait its next turn for any Lindsay sighting. The reason why I'm giving this place a five-star, when I know some of you readers would probably disagree, is Mike's honesty. It wasn't easy for him to just tell me the bad news, but he did and told me he was going to be honest with me about it. Then, he insistently offered to give me any Broncos' or items in the store for free, or if not cost. In addition to that, he offered a free spot in his upcoming signings, but I wasn't in the market for the upcoming players, so I politely declined. The overall moral of this story is, "poop happens," but this store owner did the most he could to remediate the issue, and it was an honest mistake. Nothing would have came with getting angry, Mike did his best in this situation. Thanks again for the service! read more

Excellent card shop! A huge selection of cards and memorabilia. He has a large section of Bronco's cards and signed merchandise. Mike's prices are incredibly competitive. Most of the cards, have book price and the price he is offering. I think you might be able to negotiate if the prices have shifted since he posted the card price. For boxes of cards, he compares an online site and meets those prices. While we were there a guy came in to sell cards and Mike gave the guy and offer and the seller took it without negotiating, so the offer must have been very fair. He hosts signing events, and authentication events. For example there is a signature authentication event coming up. We bought multiple packs of cards and Mike told us of the different raffles that he holds. We'll be back to see if our number is picked. Mike is friendly and has a funny, dry humor. He had my family laughing the entire time we were there. read more

I only write reviews if a business blows me away, and Mike's did just that. I would like to preface this by saying that I am by no means hard to please, nor am I easily offended. With that said, however, when speaking to me, Mike employed the tone of a tired adult explaining the stock market to a child. I wish I were exaggerating, but I honestly don't recall the last time I felt so patronized. Aside from the blatant unprofessionalism, the store was in complete disarray. Although most of these one-star reviews are classless and seem ridiculous, I completely agree with their sentiment - I understand exactly where they are coming from. Mike is extremely condescending and clearly lacks basic social skills. It's appalling that he has as many 5 star reviews as he does. I would recommend Cheek and Dom's Awesome Card Shop, Rocky Mountain Fan Cave, and Bill's Sports Collectibles over this place, just to name a few. Mike's was, without a doubt, the worst card shop that I've ever visited, and I've been collecting for more than 10 years. Coincidentally, following my visit to Mike's, I got gas at the Sinclair across the street. When I ran inside to pay, the two employees showed me more kindness and professionalism in three minutes of small talk than Mike did the entire time that I was in his shop.
