My little guy was looking to add to his Pokemon card collection and wanted to try another gaming store different from our usual place. We went to Level 7 Games to check it out. My first impression was that this store has a huge selection of merchandise neatly organized and on display. They had plenty of Pokemon card packs and individual collector cards. I asked about a video game I thought he might like. Ryan showed me the game he recommended and taught me what to look for on the packaging so I understood what gaming machines it worked on, how many players it allowed and what controllers I could use. They also have a section of gaming tables like most of these places have. After visiting the big store up north, this store feels empty. But it is not without its charm, being so far south gives it an advantage of having several games that are often in high demand. So it does have its benefits for being a smaller brother store. They also have a small set of community tables to let people still have their tournaments and competitions, though they are not isolated to another room. The only real struggle I have had is getting anything Gamecube here. read more

Not worth any stars at all! I am met by a customer with a pet dog at the entrance. We chatted with him and his dog seemed nice. The guy behind the counter confirms he is a manager and instantly sends me packing. To quote this 'manager' "even that guy at the door shouldn't have been in here either." BUT the other guy and his dog clearly WERE welcome in there. They were not forcing him out. The other guy and his dog held the door open for us expecting our welcome as if it was a normal game shop. No pets in a gaming store to start with is a stupid policy but to only half enforce or to single me out is double so. A utterly terrible first trip to this place. The manager just kept repeating "it's the owners policy" Really it's the owners policy to keep me specifically out. read more

Level 7 Games in 84th and Alameda are absolutely excellent. However the store on Kipling has been such a bad experience and to add insult to injury every negative comment gets a reply from what I would imagine is management apologizing and asking how to improve! I've purchased 2 sets of the Commander 40,000K Necron, Shattered Glass Optimus and have sold off many of the cards I collect. I don't play, I collect older Toys, Comics, Sports Cards and Magic cards. However EVERY time I've gone to the Kipling store they make me feel as if I'm doing something wrong? What made matters worse was being vigilant. I was asked for my ID when selling off cards, yet customers ahead of me didn't and I've purchased and resold cards back to them? I haven't done anything to warrant this type of treatment and have been completely polite with all the staff members. In fact, all the staff are absolutely amazing, however the one who seems to be in charge is about my height 6'4, light complicated and ordered the other employees to go grab the money while they "Now ID sales yet, only mine?" They make it feel as if I can't afford Magic Cards because I enjoy selling them off not only to level 7 but also TCG. The fact the store is only five minutes from my home I will go out of my way 30 mins to be treated like a respected customer. On all negative reviews on Google they go out of their way to address the customers needs, yet I have yet to hear anything? Attached is just a small amount of cards I also sell on Marketplace, TCG, and Anywhere else to buy Collecter sets. What is most troubling is being ID, yet I know for an absolute FACT, they do not do this to everyone. I'm not going to play the race card BS, but what the heck? They don't do it to my friend who will show up 20 mins before me? I understand it's their business and they have the right to refuse service, but I also understand D.O.R.A. and their regulations on public businesses. I absolutely enjoy Level 7 and wish to sell and buy more items, but being singled out is making it difficult, like I said it, comes across as if I can't afford these cards? I have no reason to "flex" on collections from Dent Toys (extremely rare toys), Rare Comics, Sports cards and now Trykng to collect Rare Magic and Pokémon Cards. All I hope is if they are going to ID me for selling off cards, than why not every customer that are selling many more than I am? Like I said, I wanted to make sure it was everyone and not just me and I unfortunately I've found it's only happen to me when friends go in before or after me and to be truthful it's sad! Here is a photo of just a smalll amount of cards I have that I haven't even went through yet. Great selection of fan made goods and retro and new games. The owner was nice to help me with an exchange. I noticed this store had some items the Federal Heights store didn't carry which is neat to know every Level 7 is a bit different. The shirt selection was more vast at this store. Since this store is closer to me, I will definitely be back to check out rotating amounts of pop culture swag. read more

It pains me to rate this place so low, because their staff is friendly and helpful and their inventory is awesome. I always see cool stuff every time I go. But the prices. Good god, the prices. *Everything* is marked up from what you would find online by around 20%, sometimes more. For more valuable items, they will literally go manually look up the game on Pricecharting, add 20% or so and come back to you with the price. It's like, what's the point? Even when I find good stuff here, I can reliably find *all* of them significantly cheaper online. It really sucks, because otherwise this is a really cool store. But this is a store marketed for gamers and collectors and unfortunately for them I can't recommend it. read more

Our gaming group participated in several "swap meets" at their store where we buy/sell/trade with each other and their owner, Jon Young, would enthusiastically participate. We drove business their way and got a roof over our heads (and a store to browse) in exchange. Level 7 is the majority favorite store for most of our group (in the Denver area) and was mine as well. I have nothing but good things to say about the owner and his employees, and we only had positive experiences, but one day I had kick a member of our of our group out for administrative abuse and he's apparently spread a lot of negative garbage about our group. Sadly, Jon Young fell for it and, despite never having a negative interaction with the guy, he now blocks me on Facebook, ignores my emails, won't allow our group to his store and...still...has remained being a member of our group. He's blocking some other members as well. For no legit reason whatsoever. Regretfully, while I've spent hundreds of dollars in his stores, he's lost me as a customer for life. It's how life goes I suppose. If he ever wanted to reach out to me, I welcome it. If you told me 2 years ago I'd be leaving a review like this, I'd tell you you were a liar. My only complaint is that they start modern fnm at 6:30 instead of 7 which had lost some of the regular players myself included. This is the best retro game/video game collectible store in Colorado. The prices are great, extremely friendly staff and the layout of the new shop is fantastic. We could have spent hours there. I recently bought an old school Sega Genesis from them and when I finally got it hooked up (about a month later) come to find out that the controller wasn't working properly. I went it looking for a used 3DS and walked out with nothing because no one would help me. When I walked into the store I was not greeted or approached by anyone. After 10 minutes of looking for a 3DS I approached a group of men behind a desk. After standing there for an uncomfortably long time, one finally acknowledged me. He gestured for me to go look inside one case and didn't help me anymore than that. No prices were listed on the 3DS's and after this I left. I've never felt so uncomfortable in a store. I wish Chuck and Dons was still there now, I will not be going back here. read more

I brought my PS4 in for a cleaning. They said it should take 48 hours. I went on vacation and 7 days later went back to get my console. They hadn't even touched it yet. The tech said he didn't have any thermal paste, said it was on back order, blamed it on the mailman. He said if it didn't come the next day he'd go out and buy some. I just took my console to a competitor. Nevermind that waiting until you're out of necessary supplies is no way to run a business. Nevermind that they were too lazy to just go out and buy what they needed. I should have gotten a simple phone call saying it would take longer. Poor customer service. read more
