Recently came to the FunPlex on a Saturday night w/ my bf and 8 year old nephew. Although it was busy, we all had a lot of fun! We arrived after 7pm, so we paid $25 for the unlimited wristband. I thought this pricing was fair, although I wished the person selling us them had reviewed the other options as well. I explained when first walking up to the counter we had never been there before, so wasn't sure how it worked. I asked if we just bought a wristband, she said yes. That was it. Later found out there were other options we could've purchased, oh well. The rides, although there were lines, moved fairly quickly. We did bumper cars multiple times, lazer tag, go karts, bowling, the 3-D video game/ride (although the wristband only allowed you to do this once). Occasionally we would be the only ones on the ride (lazer tag) and other times we would have to go to another ride because a bday party had reserved the ride for that specific time (go karts). After doing the rides & bowling we decided to do some arcade games. Put $20 worth on the card, and didn't even use the full value before we left. Also grabbed some pizza (which surprisingly was really good!) from the snack stand while we were bowling. A few comments about the behavior of kids there, as a few others have pointed out. Yes, there were kids that tried cutting the line, and most of the employees would see it & make them go back to the end of the line. Yes there were children and teens being rude, but it wasn't anything that isn't normally experienced at any other place geared towards kids. This is my first time visiting The Funplex, HOWEVER, I used to go almost weekly back in the day when they used to be called The Falls! Back when the main attractions in this fun center were Mini Golf, Laser Tag, and Bumper Cars. Coming back after almost 10 years, it was incredible to see this massive makeover! My family and I came here this past 4th of July, and had a really great time - spent close to 3 hours here! We got the unlimited pass for $35 per person which in my opinion, for the age that I am, was not worth it (I'm 26). This pass did not include mini golf & didn't include the splashpark which is no biggie. Many of the rides are outdated like the simulator ride and bumper cars. Of all of the rides + attractions, my only four favorite were the dark ride, laser tag, bowling, and electric go-karts. We wanted to go do go-karts again before we left but the line was so so long. Basically, we went on each ride only once so getting an unlimited pass was pretty useless. Bowling was a great time, but we only played one game. I really can't handle roller coasters like I used to (hurts my neck) but I still went on it and didn't like it. And the other rides made me pretty dizzy to the point I felt sick. But I quickly drank water and it went away. Overall, a great time for kids! Unless I want to mini golf, bowl, or go go-karting, I probably won't be back. read more

My wife, daughter, and I had the pleasure of attending a company family fun day here and I was pretty impressed. One of the reasons why we were pretty impressed is because evetything was free, but overall we had a pretty fun time. The staff here is pretty young, but they were courteous and helpful with answering questions and ensuring my daughter was having a good time. We, unfortunately, did not partake in the water fun, but it looked like a good time. Towels are not provided, so make sure you bring your own. Lockers are available, but they are $15 for the day. Family lockers are available for $20 a day. The arcade area is quite large with plenty of games to win tickets and challenge your inner child. There is a tunnel you can go through to access the inside amusement park with rides, bumper cars, go-karts, and a ball area that is filled worth soft balls that can be shot out of mini cannons. The ball pit area was probably the highlight of our trip. I included a picture of the area for all to see. The go-karts were fun, but we waited over 30 minutes to ride. Out of the few kid arcade type spots in the area, this one is the only one I care for.. Funplex (formerly The Falls) has evolved over the years from a mini kids park with a few rides, to a quite large arcade themed kids business with some really good rides, slides, and water attractions, along with hundreds of games inside. The cafe.... I wasted my money there once. It won't happen again. I found it to be gas station quality food at best. So I plan my day accordingly, and let my daughter know well ahead of time that the only thing I'll be buying there is drinks!! The place is always crowded, and is still a great time. I took my daughter here over the weekend to do a few rides and we had a good time! I cannot speak to the arcade or the food, but the rides were pretty good, especially for an indoor location. Our favorite was the outdoor roller coaster! My only complaint was that to get to the rides, you have to walk right by the walking dead video game which has pretty graphic pictures on the side of it, which were really scary for my daughter. If those games need to be at the arcade, it might be nice to put them were they aren't visible for everyone, especially for young children. I'm unhappy with the experience that we are having. I've been to the Rutherford location and nothing like this has occurred. My daughter hasn't been able to get on more than half of the rides that she has gotten on numerous times at the other location. The lack of positive customer service has been highly disappointing. If I could leave a negative star, I would! Maybe summer day time was a bad idea to go. There were kids running everywhere with no parents/counselors around. They were jumping and cutting the line, kicking, fighting, cursing and crowding in line. We waited in line for bumper cars and counted 3 different times the worker stopped the ride to move broken ones out of the way and a parent had to jump in and do the work while the worker watched. Managers should be walking around helping the workers, because it wasn't their fault, they were just kids. Outside was no different. Hundreds of kids and barely any adults. After living in New Jersey for nearly 2 years, I never saw this place. We were invited out with the JB McGuire chapel and it's an amazing spot. Definitely something good for both kids and adults. We had the building not the outside portion and there was plenty of games and activities. It was as if they merged Dave and Busters and Chuck E. Cheese. Went to the Funplex over the weekend with my family. Parking was perfect went to pay for the family $55 for each person. Went in and walked around found the kid section which was ok small. Then went to walk around the park to look for more rides no rides for the little guys. I want to know why did I have to pay $55 for my kids and they couldn't get on any rides. I don't recommend if you have small children. Your going to just spend your time at the kiddy spray ground. read more

The negative reviews of out of control kids are all true but I think unfair. Parents really need to watch them better but it should be expected. This is ultimately a kids playground. That said, this is a fun place with plenty to do for the under 10 crowd. The pool area is well maintained and plenty of lifeguards to keep it safe. It needs some more rides but not bad and the lines are never long. The new roller coaster though, horrible! It really slams you back and forth. The dips are very tame. So it's more of a thrashing ride. Pass. The go carts are great but the lines are always long on this. Teens will want to hang out inside with the arcade, bowling, 3d ride, go carts, and laser tag. The food actually isn't bad. Nothing great but certainly good enough for the venue. Prices aren't outrageous either. $30 a person for unlimited everything is a decent deal. In the summer it's easy to spend 4-6 hours here. More if you spend lots of time at the pool, bowl a few frames, etc. Summer season passes are only $90 and we may do that next year. Much cheaper than a swim club! Overall, a worthwhile place. read more

Took my 5yr old for his birthday. It was him, myself, my girlfriend and her daughter. We bought the passes online to save $12, it covered everything we wanted. I love this place I have a great time I'm 24 years old I still love the indoor and outdoor go carts I also love the 4d shooting dark ride and the simulator the laser tag is kinda lame I love the the bumper cars and the rollercoaster they have out side and the tiltawhirl The only things I don't like are the ride employees take a long time loading cars on both go kart track and all the other rides. My son loves this place. We live in the DC area and come here once a year on vacay. This year I wised up and got him a season pass which he has already put to good use. There are a few rides inside including bumper cars and go karts and there is a ton of new stuff outside, including a Waterpark. The place has been remodeled a little since the last time we were here. The entrance is now on the side as opposed to the front like it previously was. There is a cafe inside and a food shack further in and more food outside. Summers are always busy, but if you come during a week day it's a bit less congested than a weekend day. Nevertheless it's a fun place to go if you're in the area. read more

My daughter's family and I had the privilege to spend the evening at The Funplex on December 31, 2017. This particular evening The Funplex hosted its Annual New Year's Eve Family Friendly Party! New Year's Eve Package Included a Midnight Countdown, Unlimited Rides, Music with DJ, $10 Arcade Game Card & Food Buffet. $49.00 per person Party from 7:00pm-12:30am. At first when we arrived at the facility, during check in I was upset about the amount of party favors given per family. It may seem small to some but to me I felt that if 1 person paid $49. and received a bag full of party supplies, then surely a family of 5 which paid $245. should receive 5? Well that wasn't the case and clearly I would have to explain to my 9 and 7 year old granddaughters why one could wear a cool NYE party hat and one could not? I must say that Matt the manager was empathetic and repaired the situation. Matt's people's skill ROCKS and will keep me coming back to that facility as well as recommend the facility to my family, friends and coworkers. This is a great place; we have been coming for years (birthday parties, camp trips, corporate events, family time). It is clean, well run and offers a very wide variety of activities (boardwalk games, water park, seriously fun rides, arcade games, etc). They changed their pricing and we were dissapointed. Walked in 8.27.21 to play mini golf. In the past, you could pay for a few rounds, separate from the rest of the park. Now, all participants need to buy a bracelet for $30.00, each. The bracelets allow for entry to al sorta of activities. However, if you just want to play mini golf, you still need a bracelet. So, $30.00 per person to play mini golf is way out of a tolerable price point. Family of four paying $120 for 30-45miniutes of golf? Just cant do it.... read more

Funplex is a wonderful place if you have a kid or a group of kids. Had a huge selection of arcades and rides. Inside portion of funplex was clean and tidy . The line for the Gokarts was HORRENDOUS and were very slow. Very crowded. The outside of funplex seems to be neglected and rundown. When playing minigolf , we saw decaying balls/ a left golf putter. Minigolf also cost extra ( even tho we paid for our wristband). The waterpark was closed due to the weather not being ideal ( is not part of the rating). Some rides were not open and the weather was not that bad ( including the outdoor go-karts which people needed a license for , unlike New York ). The bowling lanes were the big highlight of the trip and spent most of our time there . Fun and clean . The shoes tho seem to be worn out. The wristbands tho were a good deal as it encompasses all the rides/ Lazer tag/ Bowling. With the special of 25 dollars , it could not be beat. For the original price, its just .... meh. as an adult without kids its better to go to Six Flags as it offers way more. For kids , take them . They will most likely have some fun. read more

Came for a birthday party in the winter. Kids had a wonderful time and were keep busy and happy with all of the indoor rides and activities. Came back in the summer to check out the water park. It was a great day spent in the pool, water fountain area and water slide. They also have a nice selection in the arcade of games. We will certainly be back. A place that is made for children to enjoy should have better security and be able to provide immediate attention in case of an incident. I had an incident this week at the fun Plex and it took the EMT outside and the manager at least 15 minutes to get to me. Luckily I was not seriously injured, but I was injured by a patron there following an assault. I would not take my children back to this fun Plex. You guys need to take an honest look at the food operation by the pool. It was extremely slow and clearly mismanaged. It took over 10 minutes for flavorless corn dogs to cook and 15 minutes for a line to move 3 customers. Zero exaggeration. Also, you made our family dump healthy snacks in the trash before we came in because you insisted that we order your junk food concessions to eat. Guys, it's 2019. Went there last weekend with my 3yr old and a 13yr old we had so much fun! They have a variety of arcade games, bowling, bumper cars and an outdoor water ride/pool kinda spot. The place kept clean and the snacks at the food court wasn't expensive at all. The price for gaming/unlimited rides tix/food were very reasonable! Would be a good spot to take your kids or even adult friends to hang out on the weekends. *tips - don't throw up the cup from the food court because you can get a refill for a $1 after the first drink. Fun plex only loses one star because of one apathetic teen employee who advised us that a ride was out of order when she was supposed to be managing two rides, according to the manager. The problem was quickly rectified and my kid and his two friends (9 and 7) had an awesome time. Although pricey ($100) for 3 bowl extreme bands and 100 tokens, the kids played for hours. I bought a Groupon for a bucket of balls for the driving range. Tried to go today to redeem it. When we parked, we saw a large sign saying "DRIVING RANGE OPEN EVERYDAY" We went inside to redeem our coupons. After waiting in line for 20 mins, we were informed that the driving range WAS NOT open, and that they would be using the area to park cars. The person telling us that was very rude, rolling his eyes and sighing when we asked about the driving range. All I can say is, if you're going to participate in Groupon, be prepared for people to redeem it. Also, would it have been that hard to put out a sign saying it was closed before making us wait for 20 minutes? Very dissapointed. read more

The Funplex is a good place overall for a kid's party--there's a wide range of activities that you can do in one place, so you don't have to drive all over South Jersey if you want to do go-karts and play in a water park on the same day. Go-karting and mini golf are decent here and the prices are about what you would expect per game. The bad thing about the go-kart track is that it's all powered by gas engine go-karts, which end up spewing fumes and debris everywhere. Also, no safety equipment is used besides a seatbelt (as a result, I think the karts go slower). The laser tag/ball pit thing is pretty cool (but built with childlike dimensions in mind) and the arcade is fairly typical--you have to win an exorbitant amount of tickets to get the cheap prizes. Mini golf is about the same difficulty as other courses, and there is a little bonus hole that lets you get a free game if you make a hole in one. Definitely geared toward children--no activities specifically for adults (talking mostly about libations here). Food is typical of what you would see at Chuck E. Cheese or other children's establishments. read more

This place will be loved by your children, as long as they're not too young. Any kids younger than six won't have terribly much to do here. Any kids around six or over will have a blast however. There is minigolf, go carts, plenty of rides, indoor activities and games, laser tag, and a whole host of other things. It is maybe slightly expensive, but you will not find this collection of activities all in one location anywhere else in the area. So, Innoway, you're paying for that. It is a little bit of a hot mess for parents however. The place is not particularly clean, and it is supervised and monitored by a teenage staff. The management personnel on location don't tend to be much older than their early 20s. Safety equipment and precautions are kept to the lowest legal requirement possible. I have seen others complain about the number of out-of-control children here. It's true. I agree that to some extent this is really a problem of the parents, and not Funplex. However, it does speak to the fact that they put no effort into making sure children are getting proper supervision by adults. If you have smaller children or children who just have a more gentle demeanor, they can get a little bit sorely used by these unattended children. read more

We played around with him and every time we saw him we said, "Hi, Josh!" Josh was fun and told us jokes. Josh was just very polite and personable and a very good employee. I came here for a friend's birthday in lieu of Dave and Busters. The concept is pretty similar; there's a gaming area and bowling alley. However, Funplex also includes Laser Tag, some amusement park rides, bumper cars and a go kart track. There is an unlimited ride wrist band you can get but we opted for the card where you can add as many credits as you want. I came around 4 pm on a Sunday and it was quite crowded. All the bowling lanes were occupied and there were many kids playing arcade games. The go kart track consistently had a long line. The best was the shooting game ride and laser tag. All in all, it wasn't too bad. I think there are more kids here than at D&B but at least they don't rip you off for bowling. read more

There is no supervision on the mini golf course. Kids think they can hit ball and run through your game. It has happened before and we told them and they have done nothing. Once they have your money your on your own. Never going back. read more
