Had a birthday celebration here and made reservations in advance. If you want a cabana, get it ahead of time or run the risk of not getting one due to limitations. The kids loved it, being able to go from inside water attractions to outside attractions. They made friends and tired themselves out by the time we decided to leave. We did end up purchasing food while there which was a bit pricey but of course, expected. They also sell beer. The place was packed and some adults were dressed inappropriately for this to be a family park.

The children's ministry of my church planned a day trip to this water park. I didn't get the chance to view other areas of the water park. However, my granddaughter and I enjoyed our time at Big Kahuna's Water Park. I would definitely bring her back again.

I decided to host my daughter's 5yo birthday at Big Kahuna's. This is also my first experience with them. The place itself is not that big, but a good size for kids and family to have some fun. A good size area of water fun and splashing with two kiddie slides, where one was not opened that day when I was there. There were about 4 tube slides, but only 2 or 3 were available that day. The place is pretty clean in general. Women and men restroom plus locker rooms and shower area inside the indoor water park. There are additional changing rooms for families. Lockers are available for rental. Next to the indoor waterpark is a cafe where you can buy food and drinks. There is also a outside waterpark and a section for arcade and games. Not alot of games though but the party package included arcade cards for the kids to play. They got their own parking lot. I hosted the party on Sunday morning; there were plenty of spots available. Party packages, in my opinion, might be a bit pricey. But this is for an indoor waterpark, so what can I say. I did added some food in my package because the birthday package doesn't cover food for adults, which I feel a bit disappointed since I am paying over $500 that doesn't even provide food for my adult guests. Food wise, they only cover 2 slices of pizza for the kids. Their service, overall, is excellent. The staff were awesome, especially the party director, Mackenzie, who was very polite and friendly. Although I have reached out to another staff via email and over the phone, but that lady doesn't sound too friendly. Not the polite and welcoming customer service tone, instead blunt and rushing vibes. Maybe this is the reason why I hear from another friend that there are people gave some negative reviews towards their customers services.

Really disappointed in the lack of cleanliness & customer service at this water amusement venue. When we were Sahara Sam's seasons pass holders, it was much different. We rented a cabana outside. The cabana was dirty, holes in the roof, stuck on ketchup & other black sticky stuff stuck on some of the legs of the chairs. There was an entire bucket of dirty water behind our cabana. Maybe they use it to kill mosquito larvae, regardless, it was nasty. Yuck. The customer service wasn't as good as it used to be. The call buttons on the coolers don't work, the servers are slow to check in or they're just disinterested. It was very annoying to get up & see several workers sitting around the bar outside and not checking in on their cabana guest regularly. Our server was sweet & checked in occasionally, but, I felt like, for as much money as we spent to be there, it wasn't nearly enough. I guess they assume people aren't going to buy to many of the overpriced drinks. Everything is outrageously expensive. Bought my kid pool shoes there for $20, they broke immediately & they wouldn't refund them or at least gives us another pair. From the soft drinks to the spirits, it was just ridiculouslly overpriced & not a hint of alcohol in these cocktails. My child wanted a Sprite, unfortunately when they got it, the syrup was out & it wasn't carbonated the way that Sprite usually is so it was like flat club soda. The cocktails are just full of juice and that was disappointing. There were so many summer camps there & you recognized them because the kids were outta control & running amok, trying to cut in front of other guest in slide lines. They were running around the outside pool area and acting like park apes in the pools but at the end of their visit, those who had life vest on, took them off & left them exactly were they were standing. So there were vest in the wave pool, vest on the ground around the pool deck areas. Needless to say, workers weren't to keen on removing them & hanging them up where they belonged. But it did feel more comfortable & quite when the summer camp kids left. They should only be able to come on designated days & for a shorter amount of time. They pretty much stole some of the joy out of the experience for other kids there because they were so overly rambunctious & their counselors weren't counseling, they were just as out of control at times. We likely won't be returning which sux because it's so local. But, I'd rather give Disney all my money because they pride themselves on customer service. Every amusement park should follow Disney's business model.

This park has always stood up for exactly what it is. It isn't fancy, it's a little water park that is good for locals within driving distance to enjoy! That being said, sure some of the lifeguards and workers are not going to have much personality. They're minimum wage teen workers. But SOME OF THESE WORKERS?! They are so amazing. Two separate occasions specifically on the wave rider they took time to teach my boys tricks, play, goof off, and make them feel welcome. Food however I'd suggest cooler meals in your car or going to the buffet across the street. Their prices are absurd.

This place is so small it's insane...definitely not as grand as you may think

What a rip off tourist trap. This place is underwhelming to say the least and run horribly! Once you get inside you're immediately caught off guard by the arcade in the front. This place is tiny and cramped as ever! My family and I prepaid for our passes but still had to wait on a long line before the water section entry for wrist bans. Once you get inside the water entry, it's pure chaos. You have no choice but to put your stuff in lockers that cost $10-$15 each! We had 7 people with us so we had to buy two. Staff here is horrible! There was no one telling us where to even buy the wristbands for the lockers. Turns out you need a special bracelet just for that. The locker area was ridiculous! Super cramped, people pushing and shoving trying to get through, it was just a nightmare. Once you get your locker be prepared to wait again in a small crowded space for a changing room. These rooms were dirty and unkept, I was not impressed. The place itself is super tiny, I honestly expected a much larger facility based on the website and Youtube vids I saw. They have about 6 attractions in total, I am not kidding. The best attractions were the lazy river and the big tube slides. Everything else even for the kids was just meh. The fact that adults can drink here bothers me. I don't think alcohol, adults and kids should mix but apparently it's whatever goes at Sahara Sams. The overall experience of an indoor water park was cool but I would not return. This place is a rip off completely. And good thing we didnt buy food here like our friend did, she spent $74 on 4 items!! Save your money and go elsewhere.

So came hear with a few people and each Sahara Sam's Pass Holder can bring a friend with them to the water park for only $5! This special is limited to the select days. Free parking in the back, get there at time of opening and can get a close spot. Hears why I say get there early. Closer u are the better. Save money go inside and change and bring your stuff out to the vehicle and save yourself the locker fee. And bring lunch with you in a cooler then you can go out eat lunch and bring some folding chairs. And enjoy. The food prices are high. And it's not even that good. The water park itself was great. Indoor and out. The indoor has a hot tub for adults only and a Tiki Bar for some adult drinks only. They have a lazy river, yes it's nice, butt when you're in the Lazy River there is no waterfalls so no water is hitting you and u go around in one Circle. And done. They have a swimming pool on the inside and a swimming pool on the outside. And you don't have to worry about the water being cold it's hot outside and inside. I enjoy the outside more with the wave pool. Actually alot of fun..... They have a changing area where to change. Many bathrooms. Tons of life guards.... Have many swimming vest. So if you don't have one no big deal. I would most likely come back again. But for season pass I don't know if I would.

He's a child who loves anything involving vehicles. This is the only Diggerland in the United States, so it's really rare, and therefore a special treat to give to my nephew who could enjoy a unique experience at a park catered to his interests. On March 29th, 2025, I went with him and my mother to Diggerland; the Spring day pass tickets costed $137.97 for three people, and that did not include the water park since it is closed until the summer season. We arrived at 12pm and left around 4pm, and during the entirety of our visit, I never felt like it got super crowded. The park has several rides that accommodate large groups, so it makes the lines very short. Even if it looks long at first, give it a couple minutes and soon enough, you will be seated with the other 13 people waiting in line with you. Majority of rides involve sitting in a construction vehicle, being either driven or lifted in the air, which is as mild of fun as it gets. There is also an arcade, but I recommend avoiding that if you want to save money. This park is fitting for families with small children, the elderly, or those who have a low tolerance for extreme thrills. For me, I could've used some more excitement. My 5-year old nephew, who's not a big risk taker, went on rides that as one operator put it, is so boring that it, "puts kids to sleep." It's great for the views of the park, but getting your heart racing is another story. I still had fun, but more so because I liked seeing my nephew enjoy himself. His favorite quote-on-quote "ride" was the 'Hook & Ladder' where he could explore different trucks, including a firetruck and an ambulance. As for my favorite ride, it was the 'Spin Dizzy' where you're spun around in the air by a JCB. The food and drinks tasted good; I tried their chicken nuggets and fries with freshly squeezed lemonade. Careful though, the lemonade is so fresh that they put two half lemons in the drinks. I noticed this after I was caught off guard by lemon seeds being sucked through my straw. The bathrooms were clean and abundant, with wheelchair accessible ramps. The parking lot is free and has ample spaces to choose from. In order to leave the park, you must exit through their gift shop, which is as blatant of a tourist trap as I've ever seen. However, if you wish to re-enter the park, you can do so by getting your hand stamped by an employee before exiting the gift shop. Then you'll show that stamp at the entrance; this is helpful in cases like ours where we wanted to save the food we bought for later and left it in the car so it wouldn't be a hindrance when we got on rides. So would I recommend this place? Yes, but for specific groups of people. As said earlier, this would bring the most joy to those with small children who are experiencing rides for the first time, older people that don't want to be tossed around like they would on a roller coaster, and people in general who would rather embrace the gentle breeze of the air rather than it getting whipped in their face. As a young adult who enjoys coasters, I felt unfulfilled in my quest for excitement, but if this visit brought a smile to my nephew's face, then the experience was worth it.

There was a section of rides for smaller children but the entire section was closed. I saw workers sitting around doing nothing. Like they were just waiting to clock out. The lazy river was "meh" if you could find a tube to float in. There were not enough tubes to accommodate the waiting visitors. It got so bad that parents were literally arguing and pulling tubes from other visitors. The staff was not regulating any of it. It was a disaster. I kid you not, there were roughly 30 tubes to 80 people waiting. The food catered to the SAD (Standard American Diet) and was over priced. One order of fries and six chicken nuggets cost a total of $24. You notice that price doesn't include a drink right? Tah! That's another separate price and they don't give you a lid or a straw! My daughter enjoyed the wave pool. That seemed to be the highlight for her. Other than that, and the one other splash area that was open, they can keep this place. I never liked this place as a child. I thought it was too small and not enough rides and today it's much worse. There's really no point in coming here unless someone treats you and you didn't have to come out of your pockets. They really need to shut this place down if they aren't going to fix the rides. They need to get rid of all the dilapidated rides from the 70s/80s and rebuild the park from scratch. It really makes me wonder what they are doing with the money families spend to come here because they aren't putting any of it into fixing up the place.

We've been going to Breakwater Beach for years. Although it is not as fancy as say Hurricane Harbor, Breakwater Beach HAS renovated in the past few years and everything is sparkly and new. While their number of attractions is on the smaller side, there is still a good enough selection of things to cool you off on a hot day. Not to mention, they have plenty of lifeguards posted at various spots in the park, and they are quick to tell a misbehaving child if they are, for example, horsing around in the wave pool. (Not that I have ANY experience with this... *side eyes rambunctious 6 year old niece*) However, during COVID, this place is DOING THE DAMN THING! Doing any sort of 'fun' activity during COVID is admittedly a calculated risk. Yet I truly felt like I was well-protected because I have never seen such an aggressive form of sanitation in my life. Breakwater Beach had designated sanitizers for all of the attractions - so you got off your inner tube, and it was immediately sprayed with sanitizer. You walked on a ride, you sanitized your hands. You flew down the 'banana slide,' screamed your face off, and handed your matt to get a thorough cleaning. Social distancing markers were everywhere and workers wore masks. I wish we took such drastic sanitation measures at my job, TBH! But the best part is...we booked a birthday party at Breakwater Beach for my rambunctious 6-year-old niece (the one mentioned above who TOTALLY WAS NOT HORSING AROUND IN THE WAVEPOOL!). We were given a designated a cabana for our partying and an associated who was in charge of the party. Shout out to Katie for being the MVP of Breakwater Beach. Holy moly, this girl did not stop for us all day - bringing water, pizza, goodie bags, ensuring everyone was happy...to be so peppy and so helpful is honestly a feather in her cap. Breakwater Beach, please give Katie a raise immediately. We were the first group to book a party there; perhaps we are crazy, but if your child has a birthday in the next few weeks and you're in the area, please inquire about having it at Breakwater Beach. Because the water park is opened at limited capacity, there was essentially no wait for the attractions, and we were able to freely ride all day, up until 6pm at night. Breakwater Beach was always clean, fun, and friendly, but now, it has really become a great place to bring the kids during COVID. Don't sit on this one! PS - their food is amazing. It's just greasy boardwalk food, but it's delicious greasy boardwalk food.
