Great customer service, but the birthday party services could be run a little better. We were not allowed into the facility to set up until the actual party start time so setting up while also trying to entertain was a bit stressful. After following Hot Wheelz on facebook and seeing the $2 Tuesdays I decided to take my kids. The rink was great, in addition to roller skating there was arcade games, a concession stand and a jungle gym. We rented skates, which was easy and only $5. For an additional $6 you could rent a skate assist (like a walker for little kids) to help your kids learn to skate. My kids fell an endless amount of times, they had alot of fun. They really loved the jungle gym. We'll be back! read more

I did not skate here but was pleasantly surprised with how comfortable I was as a spectator. I brought my children for a day out of the house and well...They skated for 20 and played the rest. They enjoyed the play park. I'm not sure how but my kid was all banged up and bleeding. He cried. The manager *immediately seeing a kid crying* comes over and offers up smiles and bandages. The concession were fries, hot dogs, pizza, fried Oreos and others. We shared fries and they were good. We went home with icees. Everyone was friendly. The system of getting skates is a bit odd as you have to go to the other side of the building. I'd come back here if skating was our thing. Please do not go here to skate and find another place. It was my friend's 14th birthday and she live's in New Jersey while I live in New York City. She invited me and my sister for their birthday party and hot wheels and all of us had the worst time there. At first everything was fine till we had to order food. The person who worked at the cashier may have been deaf because we ordered 2 small fries, one combo, 2 corn dogs, and one cheese fries. She messed up the order and scammed my friend's dad by giving 2 cheese fries, 2 corn dogs, and didn't give me my cheese fries at all. I told her she messed up the order and she told me she would make me one for free. Waiting an hour later I asked her if the order is ready she tells me "you have to pay" when she told me she would make me one for free. Not to mention her 2 other friends ordered 2 corn dogs as well and they waited 45 minutes and it was already cold. When we waited for the food and gave us the wrong order it took them half an hour. If u go to a fast food place they make ur order in a snap. The food was low quality. The pizza in the combo was ok but the bread was hard to chew on having a constituency of hard clay. The cheese fries tasted very stale like the vegan nuggets at my high school which tastes weird. I felt sick after eating the food. The food wasn't the only problem the skating rank kept getting interrupted with stupid mini games for little kids. If ur gonna do some kiddy games this place should have had 2 skating ranks one for children and older and one for toddlers like a kiddy pool. My daughter had her birthday party at this location. The service was good. The young lady who was our party helper came over more than a few times to assist us and the kids had a good time. The owner/manager came over and made sure we were okay. They were accommodating. I honestly don't have anything negative to say about this place. It was a good experience . Super retro-fun!! I skated this place back in the 80's... how crazy to be back 30 years later! Note: the business name is now HOT WHEELZ The DJ was good. Lighting was groovy. Tables & benches were clean. Lockers available. Didn't try any of the food/drink or arcade games. The floor could use a little touch up -- scuffs in some areas, though the two skating staff did a good job of keeping it free from debris. The rental skates rolled, but honestly felt like they could have been the same ones I skated in 1985. Save yourself a headache & money. Do not have a birthday party here! We paid almost 500 dollars for a party (that they make you prepay FYI...now I know why!) and myself and a couple friends did everything. 1. We did not have visible party hosts. No one spoke to me the entire time of our party. 2. No one said they put the kids pizza out. I happened to notice food was put down. No idea how long it had been sitting. 3. No one refilled pitchers. Someone from out party had to constantly go up, wait in line, and ask for refills. 4. We were shorted one child's food . When I went up from to tell one of the workers she told me pizza wasn't ready and walked away. It took me again, asking for pizza for a child that was sitting and watching everyone eat. By the time his food finally came 3/4 of the kids had eaten. 5. I had to bus the tables after the pizza. 6. I was told someone would be by at 5:00 to do cake. No one came. I had to personally set up the cake, cut it, and clean up after it. 7. Even as we left, not one person came to say anything to us. Not tell us our time was up, ask if we needed anything, etc. When I tried to ask about these issues I was told "management overbooked us for 5 parties and we only have 2 party hosts." Take your money elsewhere! They also don't have the walkers to help the little kids skate. read more

We held a private graduation party for my daughter 6/14. The staff was incredible! They were super accommodating, allowed us to come in a early to set up our balloon display. They helped us sort out our video presentation, and most importantly, when we told them last minute that we wanted to add an extra hour to the party-they were able to extend it for us; no problem!! Two stars because the kids had fun. Otherwise not an enjoyable experience . Visited during "home school exclusive" hours. Labeled in their website 1-3:30pm, free admission for over 18 NON skater. Upon arrival at 1pm, there was a line from the door to the parking lot waiting in the windy freezing cold. Waited in line for over 20 minutes wondering why it wasn't moving. Everyone is line became confused, frustrated and freezing! A few families one with with 5 kids decided to leave. Once we got into the vestibule to pay, we were charged $3 for adult admission. We questioned and stated the website clearly said non skating adult were free for homeschool group. The attendant immediately disagreed, and requested we show proof ( of their own policy) Due to extreme lack of internet connection inside the building and refusal on their part to look up (or know) their policy, the rest of the line become more impatient. After about 5-7 minutes they finally agreed to believe us and let us in. Everything inside was old, rusty, messy, and unorganized! Wasn't let inside until 1:30 so half hour of the time we paid for was spent waiting outside Along with other issues with the arcade games, this place hasn't changed since I was a kid 25 years ago. read more

I brought my family here today and we had a lot of fun! I haven't roller skated since middle school so it definitely brought back memories. Pretty good size rink and the people were very friendly especially those who worked at the prize bar. The music they played were older pop hits, but I knew the songs so that was a plus (26 here). The downside to the venue were the skates. I got the inline skates. They were really, really old and disgusting. I don't think they were even sprayed down with antiseptics after I returned them. I really can't complain a lot considering it's only $8 for admission and skate rentals. Bring your own skates to avoid the grossness. 4 stars for the venue, 2 stars for the skates.. avg of 3. We definitely had a good time but you get what you paid for. read more

Some things never change. A good roller skating rink never goes out of style. You can get a skate rental & entry fee for $8 here, and it is definitely welcoming to beginning skaters. Loud pop music from yesterday (Le Freak by Chic. Seriously.) & today, lots of little kids, some tweeners & teens, few adults (at least at the open skate periods in the afternoons). You can't have more fun burning a couple hundred calories, or falling down a bunch. Happily, the thing that has gone out of style is the too-tight jeans I wore when I first learned to skate at age 12. read more

I would give zero stars if I could. I booked a birthday party here for my daughter's 10th birthday. I went to there to look at everything and go over everything with the manager. On the day of the party it was pouring rain out and I needed to remove the cake from my trunk to get it on a table because the cake had fallen apart. I proceeded to walk in and put my cake down on a table in the back where the manager had told me my party would be from the previous visits. She then proceeded to come over and reprimand me for putuing the cake down on the wrong table. I was apologetic at first and then she continued to argue with me. She was mad that I came in at 2:35 to set up for a party that started at 3:00. I needed to get there earlier to set up. I just don't understand why she would continue to argue when I was so nervous about salvaging this cake. My friends that were there watching this episode couldn't believe how she was acting. She finally left and went up front to check the kids in. She was nasty to everyone of my guest. I calmed down when EJ came to help me continue to set up. He was the dJ and the party helper. He placed our order and did his best. He was lovely.. The pizza's came out late and all of the kids were starving. The pizza here is disgusting. If you plan a party here you must order there food. I would look else where just in that alone. The way I was treated that day from the manager was horrendous. I paid over 1000 dollars for nasty food and a very unprofessional manager. read more

We had a birthday party here recently and here is my honest review. First, I want to say that the hostesses, staff, and managers (Anna) were great and very friendly! Our party was from 7-9:30 PM. We were greeted by our friendly hostess, placed drink orders and we were told our food would be out around 8:00. I had pre-ordered and fully PRE-PAID for everything so that there would not be any issues. We had pre-ordered an extra pizza and chicken tenders, chicken wings, and fries for all the guests. So, I had the guests skate and return to the table for food at 8. At 8:30 we still had not received our food. Meanwhile the guests had just waited around for their food that never came. I asked the hostess and she said 5 more minutes...well we did not get SOME of our food until 8:45...we got just the 1 pizza. We were missing the second pizza, all the chicken, and all the fries for the guests, which once again was pre-ordered. I spoke to the hostess again and she said the kitchen told her they were backed up and she did not know when the rest of the food was coming out (this was at 9PM...30 minutes before the party was to end). The other pizza eventually got there after advising the hostess that we had not received it, but the chicken wings, chicken tenders and fries were no where to be found and one of our guests did not eat pizza. The timing of the food completely threw our party off schedule. We had to do our cake and sing happy birthday (which the hostess did not help us with) before receiving the rest of our food because it was getting too close to the end of the party...all the kids were still hungry. I kept having to apologize to the guests for the food delays and it was very embarrassing. The rest of the food did not come out until 9:20 (10 minutes before the end of the party). I had to individually pack up 8 to-go containers myself to give to each guest. It seems that they overbook the party area and let in other public guests without any sort of limits. So, the kitchen is dealing with all these food orders at the same time that they can't handle. Also, if food is pre-ordered and pre-paid (like ours was), that food should definitely be ready on time! Also, it seemed that there was a lack of hosts. Yes, they were friendly and were trying their best, but they should have had at least one more host because you can see that they were hustling. We were refunded for the chicken and fries order, but honestly the food delays really threw everything off and left our guests hungry. In addition, it seemed like there were way too many people in general for the staff that was there. I felt bad for the managers that were dealing with all sorts of things going on...we actually had a situation of our own with a guest, and the managers reactions were fast, kind, calm and efficient. Anna was amazing with how she dealt with the situation and her ability of making the guest feel comfortable! I would also suggest adding rubber bumpers along the cement ledges getting on and off the rink to prevent injuries! The concept is cute, the roller skating is fun and the food is not bad for a roller skating rink, but the execution of the parties is just not there..more staff, less party bookings and less non-party guests at one time, would give this place a better overall experience. The overall experience for me was that it was stressful, not enjoyable, and not what a celebration party should be. I ended up having to apologize to my guests for food delays, had to rush the cake, I had to add more money to game cards to entertain the guests while waiting for the food (ultimately I told them to go back and skate and I would call them when the food was out), guests left hungry with food in to go containers, sometimes I could not find my party host (and we weren't demanding guests at all), the environment was hectic with a lot of things going on that weren't in our control and personally I did not have fun because of all of this. read more

What a great place to burn up a few afternoon hours in the humid summer! My kids and I visited family in nearby Voorhees, and without a pool to use we took a trip to the skating center. We had a great time- summer special was $30 for four of us which was admission, skate rentals, 4 slices of pizza and 4 small drinks. Lots of clean garbage cans in the facility, the paint everywhere looked great, the restrooms were very clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly. It was nice and cool with good air conditioning. There were several day camps that cycled through but the rink was never too crowded that you were feeling squeezed. We will definitely come again next summer! read more

I recently had my daughter's 7th birthday party at Cherry Hill Skating Center. Upon arrival, the staff went out of their way to be welcoming, accommodating and helpful. The ladies that were assigned to our party were a pleasure to work with and my daughter and her friends had a wonderful time. Unfortunately , I left utterly disgusted and will never return. Hopefully you won't either. The parents of one of the children attending our party experienced something no one should ever have to experience. The mother is white and the father is African-American. When the mother went up to rent her skates the MANAGER was friendly. He gave her the skates without questioning her about a wrist band (which she did not have) or what party she was part of. IMMEDIATELY after she was given her skates, the father went up to rent his. He said 'Hello' and the MANAGER did not respond. When he finally acknowledged the father, he rudely asked where his wristband was. He said he did not have one but that he was part of our party. The manager said he needs a wrist band and would not give him his skates until the mother (again...who did not not have a wrist band) confirmed he was part of the party. Talk about racially profiling. Cherry Hill Skating Center, the father of our guest deserves at the very least a genuine apology and you should be ashamed. read more

They kept asking for everyone to exit the floor for backward skating then they asked us to exit so a bunch of kids could dance to random music....I have no idea why this place is still in business read more

My friends and I went for the adults only night tonight. The advertisement on the website states that there is no entry under 18, and that they'd play music from the 70s 80s and 90s for $8 admission. It is so misleading. It was $14 per person, they let a bunch of kids in, and played recent music. Definitely not coming back. read more

Great place to take the kids for a few hours (especially when it's raining or cold) without breaking the bank, get some exercise, and learn a new skill. My kids and I really enjoy skating here and it's become a good bonding experience for us (get the kids the locked skates when they are starting off so they aren't falling every 5 seconds). Very reasonable prices and they have fun kid skating activities (limbo, spin the pin, hokey pokey, etc). read more
