I needed pillars of balloons with "high float" to make them last on very short notice. This was closer than Party City so I took a chance and was pleasantly surprised. Yes the place looks older and the prices aren't rock bottom. But it's been there 30 years and the service was wonderful. Not only did they figure out what I needed (I'm not that well versed in balloon lingo) but they whipped it up in ten minutes and then personally stuffed 40 balloons into my car for me- which was no small task. Next time I'm having them delivered since they offer that service at a decent price. It's always good to shop local but when the service is outstanding too it's all the better. read more

I was running errands in Haddon Twp and pulled my car over when I spotted Westmont Party Supply. I'd seen the store before but never had a reason to pop in. But with a list of items to pick up for an upcoming bachelorette party, it was as good a time as any. The store was a little more rundown looking than I expected. Some shelves were half empty. Kinda weird. But they had a decent selection of bachelorette party stuff (think G-rated - if you want anything phallic-shaped you'll need to hit up a Spencers or other novelty shop) and I was able to grab a couple things. They also randomly had a selection of sprinkles for cakes or cupcakes and I picked up a small cup of all pink for .99. Not bad if you're in the area, and it's always nice to shop local. read more

This is your neighborhood, mom & pop party supply store ... from the outside. When you actually go in, it seems a little disorganized and all over the place, but full of awesome party stuff. You start to notice that this isn't your normal party supply place when you talk to the staff. I called them in the middle of September one year and asked if they had any St. Patty's Day stuff for a Half-Way to St. Patty's Day party I was throwing. Of course they didn't have any stuff ... out. They offered to go down into their basement with me and let me paw through all of their St. Patty's stuff that they were planning on having packed away for another 6 months until I found what I wanted. And it's not like I was spending a couple hundred bucks. If I spent $50, I'd be surprised. They were so nice! On top of all of their party supplies, they do amazing balloon work. I've ordered balloon arches, huge bouquets, custom balloons, you name it, I've ordered it from them. They do delivery, on-site set up, and they'll come back and take it down if need be. And their prices are really reasonable. Really, the only thing that's keeping them from getting 5 stars is the fact that they're not really up with technology like email and whatnot, but that's never stopped me from getting excellent service. Westmont Party has a slightly better/different selection of novelty balloons than my local balloon places. We ordered balloons ahead of time for a party, picked them up, and they were ready. We had one pop as it hit the ceiling of a parking garage, but that is within reasonable expectation of balloons. Working with Westmont Party supply for our daughter's first birthday party was an absolute delight. We went to the store to order the balloons, and everyone there was helpful. They gave wonderful suggestions (our theme was pink and gold), and blew up many sample balloons with a smile on their face. I take an extraordinary time to decide on decorations, and they were patient and helpful despite the time I took. On the day of the party, they were on time with the order and they had already placed the balloons in position by the time we arrived. This sort of customer service is hard to come by these days, and Westmont Party Supply goes beyond what is required. Also, did I mention their prices are very reasonable. Happy holidays Westmont Party! I came by tonight at 6:32 pm. I didn't realize the store had apparently closed at 6:30 pm. The lights were on and I saw someone standing at the counter three feet away from me. Not realizing the store was closed I tried to open the door, realized it was locked, saw the clerk look up at me then ignore me. Thanks! I thought the benefit of shopping local was a more personal touch? I understand the business was closed, but to have your staff ignore a customer from 3 feet away, not even acknowledge she's standing there, doesn't feel like a personal touch to me.
