    Steak Sandwich (8-10)
    Benjamin W.

For the entrées, I've had the steak sandwich, both forge burgers, and the steak salad. For the appetizers,, I've had onion rings, mushrooms, and french fries. I've gone there two different times and I think they need to stick with the seasoned skinny fries instead of the steak fries. The ambience is bland due to the lack of music. Unfortunately, I think they have over prioritized some things out of order. Being that it's the only steakhouse in town, it is in fact, a "steakhouse". With that being said, I would not compare this to any steakhouse that I've been to. This "steak house" has the potential to be a really cool bar but the ambience, the staff, and the menu all need to change. I'm leaving a very modest review on this spot because I don't like seeing small town businesses fail, and I only want people here to be successful. Again, another unfortunate event is to go there twice and see that there hasn't been much change. I think it's important to get this message out there to keep small towns booming with growth and have something to be proud of! For the future, I hope that an influx of individuals within this community decide without any hesitation on if they want to spend money at this place in the future or not! As for changing the menu: Please make the burgers are the star of this place! Those are the best burgers I've had in North Texas. With the ambience: Get rid of the five star dining dream and add music and go American casual. With service: Y'll need to market and hire more people as well as keep the small town flair. Also add an open sign in the front. It looks closed from the roadside. It's not easy but I think understanding these prices are misleading to this restaurant experience, this place can get better! I recommend to change the identify from trying a high class steak house to American casual. Blessings and solid (3.5).

Charcuterie board on anvil shaped wood block
    Lola W.

The building is really cool! Very open, industrial and unique. However, the lights consistently flickered, not sure if that was part of the ambiance or an electrical issue. Service was very good! The hostesses were friendly and our waitress was very kind and pleasant. I had the charcuterie board with a cocktail. The charcuterie board presentation was very appealing and the selections were good! The cocktail was extremely sweet and syrupy. Unfortunately, I experienced very harsh tummy issues very shortly after leaving (when I got in the car) that lasted all night and all day the next day!

The food wasn't as I had expected for what we paid. The service was great but there really wasn't anything that set this place apart.

Pretty spacious place that offers a wide range of food and drink options. Everything we ordered tasted great, came out in a timely manner, and everyone devoured what they had. The Mac and cheese had far more flavor than I expected and was eaten without a fuss and in its entirety (for a kid, that's a feat). The burger was simple, but great. The wings were extra crispy, and the different drinks were tasty as well. Our server was fantastic and we will certainly be back one evening.

Its located in the same parking lot as the elementary school and is the only restaurant/bar in the parking lot. Upon walking in you'll see the bar and plenty of seating as well as a patio. Since we came in the middle of the week on a late afternoon we pretty much had the place to ourselves. Our waitress came over who was really sweet and had that southern Texas charm. I ordered the elote with homemade tortilla chips, gluten free Mac n cheese and my mom got a flatbread. Hands down that mac n cheese was the best I ever had, it was so creamy but not over powering with that bold cheese flavor and it was made with gf penne pasta (I know a little weird.. but it was the only gf noodle choice I had). If you don't have an allergy I'm sure the regular noodles are just as good! So if you want that comfort food that Texas is known for, this is the place to check out if you're in Celina.

We had a lot of fun here! I forgot to take pictures but we got the wings (lemon pepper & Korean bbq) and they were really tasty with a nice crisp to the skin. I think my favourite was the truffle fries! Hand cut, heavy sprinkle of parm and rosemary while tossed in white truffle oil... soooo yummy! Best fries in dfw! Our server was attentive and you could tell that a lot of locals swing by because she knew a lot of people coming in. The seating is first come first serve so be prepared for that. Overall it's a great local spot that I will check out again.

We love downtown McKinney and so many establishments have that southern charm, friendly service, and just love people. We always bring in a group of paying patrons. Early on we felt there was a clickish vibe, but never thought anything about it. We make friends everywhere, since we are travelers . Last few months we noticed a shift, bartender ruder, lack of service, the regulars shifting their gaze as if something was wrong. Last night ended that for us, and I'm sure they will be thrilled. Our bonus son chose to come here for his celebratory event. We invited a variety of people we knew, local talents, professionals, and family. Hateful comments about having a few balloons and party hats and how "you BETTER clean all that UP, I'm not doing it." We were treated with disdain. No service, each person had to get our own menu when we were ready to order, , and silverware after food was served, no one took our drink orders, when we went to the bar-our tabs were closed after each drink order. The bartender, Chevon, (who is always there) was rude and ugly to our whole group and to those she didn't even know was in our group. The new DJ, (Shawn) skipped over our friend twice. Chevron (bartender) who didn't know the person she was speaking to was my sister, said "I hate that guy, all he sings is rock songs." I mean... it karaoke. And that guy she's talking about has been bringing a group of people here for over a year. So carry on the "high school drama" there are a ton of places in McKinney that are lovely and welcoming. When you are hateful to singers, doctors, nurses, business owners, and veterans... that news will travel fast. And as rude and ugly as this review is, it's not near as rude or ugly as we were treated, individually and as a group. If you are gonna be bias to people, you don't need to be serving them. It's sad, because I know Karen and what Spoons means to her and her family. I hope they clean house and start over in the back. FYI (Shawn was a really nice DJ, he was so kind to people celebrating others.) But other than that, I wouldn't recommend The Garage for any new Collin County resident, any bridal party, bachelor party, or group celebrating anything... you can DM me and I'll give you a personal list of plenty of places to go. Many of them walking distance.
