We have been customers of Outback for decades. It has been an up and down ride for sure. The one in Prosper is better than most. We eat there at least once or twice a month. We also do their take out (which is flawless so far). Last visit my wife had their salmon and it was cooked perfectly to her request. I had the Queensland chicken and shrimp. Loved every bite. I still love thier salads and the French Onion soup. They are outstanding. We also have had their combination appetizer. It was awesome. The wait staff is pretty good too. They seem to listen and keep up with things.We are happy they are close by. BTW on a previous visit I got their new Delmonico Ribeye. It was disappointing but filling. I want to start with the good points, we were seated very quickly and our server was very good. Unfortunately, that was all the good things I could say about this location. My favorite thing on their menu is the coconut shrimp and they used to have it as a meal, but they took it off the menu. However, other locations have allowed me to order it as a meal since it's on the lunch menu. This is the only thing I order at outback because I love it so much! Apparently this location makes you pay for the appetizer and the fries separately. OK, I can deal with it. However, what I was served as "coconut shrimp" could only be described as little rubbery round balls dipped in something and some coconut thrown on it. And they didn't just serve this to me once, they served me another plate of the exact same thing when I brought it to their attention. I even pulled up a picture off the website and said this is what the coconut shrimp is supposed to look like and it's butterfly shrimp. I was not served that last night twice. I did not eat any of those. So the only thing I was eating last night were french fries. And our meal cost $50 even after they removed the coconut shrimp off of our ticket because I refuse to eat it. It was disgusting! The manager did come out and apologize, but I gotta be real honest and say I wasn't feeling it. He didn't seem very apologetic and he stated that he sat and watched them make the second plate and called it Coconut shrimp. FYI, he reeked of cigarette smoke which is not something I want to smell while I'm trying to eat! He came off as if he was angry at me for suggesting that what I was being given was not the accurate menu item. Not a good vibe! I have attached pictures of what they served me and yes, that is supposed to be two different plates, but they look identical. If they didn't have the butterfly shrimp in order to do the coconut shrimp they should have been honest with me and let me know at the beginning. It's a fairly new location, the restaurant looks great inside and is very well kept but I probably will not be back just because I don't feel like I was valued as a customer last night. And I'm not even going into detail about what they called Alfredo pasta that they serve served my husband. Very little flavor, watery, and the steak was mealy. We had a wonderful experience at this Outback! We were driving around looking for dinner when we noticed this new location. Even though it was Saturday night, there weren't many customers, so we were seated right away. Our waitress was very kind and thoughtful, and she went out of her way to give great recommendations. They had fantastic drink specials, so we ordered a few, along with a blooming onion to start. I chose their ribeye and grilled shrimp for my meal, and that ribeye was genuinely one of the best steaks I've ever had! It was seared, juicy, and seasoned perfectly. The sides were great as well. Was the ONLY pick up order during a slow time for business. I was waiting patiently in the outside designated space for 7 to 12 minutes, while no less than 5 servers standing around and two outside. Got home with my food to find my well done steak was rare and Cesar salad was a house salad, although the receipt clearly had the order on it. We had dinner here last night. I ordered the special meal that came with two sides and a dessert. The sirloin was so chewy and tough that I could not eat it. The baked potato and house salad was great. My husband enjoyed his coconut shrimp and Caesar salad. My daughter had a steak salad that was also very good. Oh gosh, I so wanted to give Outback a good review as we have been going there for years and it's always been the standard you would expect, but lately it's just gone downhill. I went here during their day 2 of the grand opening. The place was a hit with patrons and still had the fresh smell of furniture in there. I had their burger with fries done medium and an iced tea. The staff was still being trained up and given the ropes by senior staff. Drinks were refilled quickly and the corporate staff came by to welcome everyone in. I am looking forward to trying the prime rib (only on weekends). It's been a hot minute since I've been to an Outback and this was a great turnout. Every single table was filled so if they continue this trend it'll give Texas Roadhouse a run for the money. Paying the bill was simple. Went to outback a few days ago. There were three of us. We were told there would be a 30 minute wait. There were many empty tables. We didn't want to wait, so we sat at the bar. The bar tender was amazing. She was on top of everything. Out of the three meals we ordered, only one was cooked correctly. The two plates went back to the kitchen. This was such a wholesome experience for my family. They may be young, but I've never met a more friendly staff that is always willing to help. There were minor mistakes along the way, but they were apologetic and even took the payment off one of our dishes that were barely touched. Went in around 2 and got sat down and was given bread. Over 20 minutes later we still did not receive any service or someone to even take are drink order. As we got up to leave I noticed two gentleman standing in the back hallway if restaurant with different colored shirts. Went over and asked if one of them were a manager and they said both was. I expressed my displeasure with no service. They asked what they could do. I said nothing as my wife and friends are already on their way to the truck. I ordered takeout, and I will say that the person who took the order was very courteous. However I did have to repeat the order because apparently she wasn't ready yet, which may be where part of the problem lies. I ordered prime rib seasoned and seared and it was neither when I opened it. The wings, while tasting okay were overcooked and seemed to be quite small in size. Also, I received blue cheese instead of ranch. I ordered a loaded potato for my side, and they barely included any toppings. In fact they mixed the butter and sour cream in one small container. Incidentally, even though I asked at pickup, that mix was the only butter in the bag, so there wasn't any butter for the bread. I usually don't leave negative reviews, but Outback's food has continued to go downhill. I don't order steaks there (we know they aren't what they used to be) only seasoned and seared prime rib, but they missed the order on that tonight. Finally, even their wings seem to have become a victim of their cost saving measures. This is probably the last time I will eat at an Outback. We have had a streak of incorrect orders that have become somewhat of a joke in our family, but now the food quality seems to suffering as well. read more

We live in Prosper and when to the restaurant based on seeing a commercial for the three-piece deal for $18.99. When we got there the waitress said that it was not available at this location because Outback does not give any promotions at new restaurants until it is a year old or older. We tried to order the lunch special and she said that was not available either. I called to voice my displeasure with the manager and the gentleman answer phone said he was busy but he would help me what the problem was and I told him. He said oh no you can get the specials and you can get the lunch specials both. I said that's not true when you come in the restaurant the waitress says you cannot get them. So I told him we would wait and continue to go to Texas Roadhouse and maybe after the restaurant is a year old then we would come to try them out. I believe the management should be walking the floor and making sure that their people know what they're talking about. If you don't offer specials for the first year, that's fine but have all your employees on the same page saying no you can't get them. read more

Waitlist dont have an estimated timeframe like Texas roadhouse does. So it could be 5min or 60. Will be a surprise once u arrive. We waited 10-15min for bread. We waited 40min for our food. 13oz rib eye was terrible. Salty with big chunk of fat and also I expected it to be grilled. Big dissapointment when it came pan fried. In general poor quality in the cut and the cooking Burger and fries salty too.. Our waiter was kind and friendly. Nothing to complaint about her. Place in Prosper is relatively new. The manager was kind and very serviceable got me and my date a table quick, Our server was on point with refills and checking up if we needed anything, as well a very kind person, Now the food was honestly a 10/10 really good! And the Steak had a good medium rare just as we asked I also got a Mac And Cheese and it tasted like actual cheese went Into it haha! Great service! From the manager to the waiter and the team members delivering our orders, everyone was very helpful and attentive. This was our first visit to this location and we had a party of six ranging in age from 25 to 94. We had several questions regarding menu choices and ended up ordered four of the specials where you get a soup or salad, entree, and dessert plus two lunch meals. The warm brownie pecan with. Ice cream desserts were the bomb! Outback seasons everything well and we enjoyed a bloomin onion appetizer (had a good spice to it) plus the complimentary bread. The best thing about this place is the bartender Bree! I mean, it's outback the food is exactly what you expect. We went for the Tuesday Tails dinner. We went around 2:00 pm. We were promptly seated and after a short wait was greeted by the server/bar tender. After that everything went downhill. Their dark bread was brought to the table. It was so stale, we could hardly cut it with the steak knife provided. It was NOT fresh baked as usual, this was obviously left over from the night before. When the food arrived, the steaks were so tough, again you could barely cut it. It was a grade that must have been lower than select, it was so bad. And the lobsters were obviously diseased, they looked nice in the shell, but when you removed them from the shell, it was just pure slime on the underside! We spent $75,00 plus a non-deserved tip. The place is terrible, don't waste your money there!!! There are better places around for less money, avoid this place it's TERRIBLE! We will not be back. At least the location in Frisco knows how to prepare food and serve it properly! This Prosper location won't last serving such terrible food.
