Blood stains found on a "spare" pillow

We decided to book a 2 night stay here. The first day we got here was a bit crazy. We waited for our room to be ready at 3pm Friday February 28th 2025. Once check in was ready i paid 253. 16 for my two nights. Got our cards to the room. When entering the room, the room was dirty, the bedsheets looked like someone just finished sleeping in them, there was trash everywhere. I quickly closed the door as I was in shock and didn't know if someone was in there. I went up front to the front desk and the lady was nice enough to give up a new room number. So I went up to the new room (second room) the key wasn't working. I went back up front and let the lady again I let her know that the key wasn't working. She asked if I could wait a moment as she had customers in front of her, I told her it was no problem and waited by the door for her. As I waiting by the door of the second room key that was givin to us. A lady walked out of and asked why we were trying to open her door. while we were speaking to the lady in the room, the lady at the front desk was walking up the stairs in ah she was confused as why there was someone else in the room that we were supposed to be in. The lady from the front desk then told me that today was a busy day and it was becoming stressful. Then was given another room everything was working fine. We settled in and left for the day until returning when the lights did not turn on. We then realized that there was no power to the room and that's where the frustration set in. We now have been through 3 rooms within the last 4 hours. The gentleman that we spoke at the front desk that evening had no idea to what was going on, in frustration we asked to switch rooms with a difference of what we paid for the room we originally booked. The gentleman at the front then told us that we couldn't get reimbursed for the room that we were going to be switch to next or we would just have to leave. We decided to walk away from the situation and the come back to it as we might have agreed with what was said. When we came back we took the standard queen bed, with no idea what we were going to be walking into the lamps worked but not wall lights. I went to the front desk again to explain to what happened again they asked us to speak to the manager in the morning with severally apologizing for the incident. Our experience hasn't been the greatest and will be speaking to the manager and to someone else about this as well. As much as it wasn't a good experience for us we don't want that to happen to other people as well. I could not get a hold of management, as they will not call or email me back.

A completely redone hotel that does a good job providing all you need for a weekend stay in the area. We booked the hotel online and showed up on a Friday mid-day. They let us check-in a little early so we could drop our bags. We were in the building that was across the street from the main portion of the hotel. The room was on the second floor and clean. We were able to find a good spot to set up our pack and play for the little one to sleep in overnight. The floors are not carpeted, so I would be a little worried that first floor people might be able to hear a lot of noise, but I prefer an uncarpeted room cause it's easier to see it's clean :) The front desk staff was friendly and we looked around the front lobby, gym and pool area. We didn't end up using any of the items they offered onsite, but it's because we were busy exploring the city. Overall: A We'd stay here again! Good price, clean rooms.

Would we stay there again? Maybe, and that's a very loose maybe that's leaning towards no. The people that work at the front desk is what keeps the hotel alive. The bathroom looked nice but the shower was more of a dribble of water hitting your body. The tile floors were filthy, I cleaned them with warm soapy water and used their towels to wipe them down. We didn't try their free breakfast, so, no comment on their food. The breakfast is served in the lobby and it looked nice and clean. On the plus side, the mattress was heaven and the in room coffee was really good, we used bottled water to make the coffee.

Doesn't really capture your attention when you are driving by, but this Inn features excellent room size, design, and accommodation! 4/5 for comfortable beds, cozy and clean, large desk/ table, extra long vanity for multiple people to get looking good and ready for the "gram", picture perfect!! Facility is larger than it seems from the road, has classic inn/motel design with exterior halls and entrances and a nice place to sit outside if you like. They are close enough to downtown to walk but provide a shuttle to downtown for a $7.50 fee. ( not optional ) Pool and activity area is private, clean, has some air hockey and table basketball for kids, ( or young at heart grownups !!) place your bets! They also have street bikes for rent, nice feature. 4/5 for activities. Pet friendly, but no special accommodations for your pets. 3/5 Continental breakfast- minimal but included. 3/5 Staff is friendly but minimal; which is not a negative, just a report. Juice, water, snacks, ice cream available. 3/5

This is a less conventional Hilton, and that fits very well within St Augustine, since there's nothing conventional about St Augustine either. We took a walking tour of St Augustine and learned a lot about this history of this hotel - the hotel has done an incredible job making itself look less Hilton-like and more like St Augustine. From the back of the hotel, you can barely tell that it's a hotel at all. In the valet area, they have relics of civil rights history native to St Augustine. As far as the rooms, room 140 is the place to stay. It's got a door that opens right out to the pool deck. It's a spacious room with large TV and a comfortable bed, and a great view of A1A, the horse and carriage rides across the street and the water. The location is right in the center of everything - St Augustine is a very walkable town, and you can get from the southernmost to the northernmost area with this hotel right in the middle. Plenty of restaurants and retailers in the neighborhood. The restaurant at this hotel was wonderful for breakfast - extremely friendly, efficient and internationally diverse staff made our stay appear joy. The lobby is attractive and the renovations they've done show true attention to detail. I look forward to returning next month after all the lights go up, since this hotel generally has some of the best holiday lighting in all of St Augustine. From a wonderful location, beautiful rooms, great service, reasonable pricing and sufficient amenities, this is a five-star experience.

The room was nice and spacious, with odd closets, but they worked for the time we were spending there. They also had robes if we needed to be bougie and prance around. We slept well and had a nice view of the square between the Lightner Mansion and Flagler College. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and accommodating. They gave good recommendations on how to get around Saint Augustine, which had been a minute for me, so it was good to get a refresher. Sparkling wine at the front desk when we checked in was excellent and helped us unwind after the drive from South Florida. They have a gym and pool that I believe is accessible through the second floor, so I will have to remember that for our return trip. Also, they have a Starbucks on the lobby floor, which was great to get our morning pick-me-up. The bar and restaurant were very stylish, lots of Spanish influence from the 15th and 16th centuries. The cocktails were also solid. I didn't care for the water pressure and temperature, as they were difficult to adjust and ensure we were getting the correct settings. It was pretty scalding hot, so it took a couple of minutes to get it right, and then I kept it on the setting for my wife since I didn't want her struggling to mess with it. Apart from that, the experience was great. We enjoyed the sparkling wine and the accommodations when we checked in. The valet was good to have, as I didn't want to mess with street parking, but it is more expensive; take note.

When we raised concerns about the condition of the room, we were initially told there were no other rooms available. Somehow that later changed, but the alternative room was just as disappointing -- dark, accessed by steep rickety stairs, and with a strong unpleasant sulfur/rotten egg smell outside.
