The feast buffet just opened this last week and you need to give them a try if you're in the mood for an Asian inspired buffet! They have so many different options! A full fresh sushi bar, a made to order pho station & made to order hibachi! The buffet selection is extensive and delicious! The crab rangoons are delicious & they have great general tso's chicken & fried rice! I really enjoyed the teriyaki chicken skewers & the beef short rib! You can't go wrong with grabbing some sushi & I love to end my meals with the chocolate pudding!

The Feast Buffet occupies the space at Carriage Place that was formerly a Petland. An Asian buffet at Petland is hilarious to me, but anyways. The Feast has a standard Chinese buffet, a sushi station (that's pretty decent for a buffet), and a made to order pho & stirfry station. I really enjoy their made to order pho station. I honestly think their pho is better than some of the other pho restaurants in town. One point of improvement though is that on the order sheet for pho, what they list as "triple beef" is actually beef tripe. I've tried both their weekday buffet and their slightly more expensive weekend buffet. The food selection is pretty similar for both. The only differences in food choices I noticed was the weekend buffet adds baked oysters and swaps out steamed brown crabs for salt & pepper fried blue crabs. I would strongly recommend their weekend buffet over their weekday buffet though, because the weekend buffet is much busier and it allows for the food to be eaten and remade quicker. For the weekday buffet, some of the items were lukewarm and appeared to have been sitting out for a while. I've noticed that other reviewers have said similar things about their weekday buffet. I would say 5/5 for the weekend buffet and 3/5 for the weekday buffet for an average of 4/5.

I have been looking for a new Asian buffet and I found it. It is located in the Carriage place shopping center so there is plenty of parking. I visited at lunch time so the price is cheaper. The first thing you notice upon entering is a bunch of cute figures in a large display. The restaurant bright and looks nice. There is plenty of seating for dining. Once inside the Sushi bar is right up front, You can choose to make your own or get the Sushi that is made by the chefs. There is plenty of dishes to choose from, so make sure your stomach is empty. I ate too much and did not leave room for dessert. Several different kinds of ice cream, fresh fruit and Asian desserts. The wait staff was very nice at the overall atmosphere was great.

Ok. Now I'm going to preface this mid review with this: if you love Chinese Americanized food, this is absolutely the buffet for you. Pros: it's very clean and very busy so the food is being prepared constantly. The selection is pretty good, also. There's plenty of hot roots and different sushi and sashimi. The service we had was great - nice and attentive. The weekday lunch price is significantly cheaper than the weekend or evenings. That's why we went on a Friday for lunch (~ $17 each). My favorite bites were the chicken skewers, butter chicken, mushrooms in oyster sauce, and the green beans. The pho broth is delightful - that was a great surprise! Cons: It's so mid, you guys. I haven't been to a Chinese buffet in a billion years, but had to try it since it's new. It's exactly what it should be, but my tastes have changed since the last time I had a buffet. If that's what you're after, please go because they do it very well! Just don't expect much strong flavor or any spice. It's nice and big with lots of seating. There is a 90-minute limit on your visit, which is just one of many rules (weirdly unwelcoming to see upon entering). We had a friendly young guy as our server, but some of the hostesses weren't very friendly - like wouldn't get out of anyone's way when they were trying to sit or pass by. Just a mood and I don't love that. Anyway. There's a lot of good for what's on offer, and I would recommend it with those caveats. It will be I treating to see if it stays busy after the newness of it wears off.

This is a honey rib, the only edible part was the tiny spot in the middle, the rest was so dried out you couldn't even chew through it

Worst buffet i have ever been to!!! Got there 5 minutes after the cutoff time to pay $16.99. So we had to pay $25.99 a person. 2 kids 4 & 7 and they go by height?? So we had to pay $13 each for them. I would have been ok with it. But most of the food was old and dried out! If I'm paying that much for food, I want it fresh! Took them half an hour to get Mac and cheese out for the kids, and when we got there, there was very little of it, and it was all dry! I can't tell you about the sushi or seafood because I don't eat it. There was lots of other stuff there i could have ate, but it was all dry and hard . They also automatically add an 18% gratuity for parties of 5 or more. So, our bill was $186.00 for 4 adults and 2 kids and we all left there still hungry. Never again!!!

First to arrive on a Sunday. Glad we did bc it got very busy right after our arrival. First, the food selection was pretty decent and we tried plate after plate of seafood, chicken, beef, and sushi. The dim sum was just ok but that's what you get out of the frozen box. Was surprised though we were one of the first ones there, some of the dishes were lukewarm not hot. Did not try the hibachi bc we loaded up on the big selection of food. Caution about the soup selection...the bowls are there but you have to go over to a station to get a soup spoon. I spent most of my eats on the fried and steamed shrimp. Again if you're looking for seafood sauce you have to go to the sauce station against the back wall. Ice cream is frozen cups though they did have orange sherbet. The waitresses do come around often to clear your plates. $26.99pp and soda/tea was $2.99 each. Have to say the food here was much better than Tokyo Buffet on Sancus in Polaris.

A bit better food than similar sushi/chinese buffets that have been opening around Columbus. However, it is a bit more expensive as well.

If you've ever thought, "Man, I miss the days when dishes had names and not just 'deconstructed concepts,'" this place is your new home base. Appetizer - Coquille St. James Sea scallops, sauce, mashed potatoes... basically a fancy seafood shepherd's pie that your nostalgic inner child will absolutely high-five you for ordering. Rich, creamy, comforting -- it's like a culinary hug from a decade with better music. Waldorf Salad Phenomenal. Flavorful. The kind of salad that reminds you why this dish used to be the Beyoncé of dinner parties. Fresh Catch - Haddock No picture, but you can tell this fish was fresh. Like, "probably had weekend plans before it met the kitchen" fresh. Decor Dated. Dark. And somehow awesome. Imagine the set of a 70s maritime movie, but everyone's actually having a good time. Atmosphere They open at 4 PM and there's a line -- because apparently everyone else also loves time travel. I was probably one of the youngest people there, which is a strange but empowering feeling. Like being the rookie on a team of seasoned pros. The staff? Super friendly. Pro tip: the bar fills up FAST. Olympic speed. If you want a bar seat, you need reflexes. Also heard the dining room runs warm -- so if you run hot, maybe bring a tiny fan or pretend you're on a tropical cruise. Final Verdict: Windward Passage is a retro gem with hearty food, friendly vibes, and the kind of throwback charm that makes you grin. I'm absolutely putting this into rotation with friends for bar hangs, drinks, and really good food.

Pretty loud and hard to hear, but that vibe is OK for a boil place to me. Only waited about 15 minutes. Two adults, two elementary kids. I like Lees of all the boil places because they have good options for non seafood people too. Both kids found wings, chicken fettuccini, etc. Started with the hushpuppies, about 12 smallish sized but a perfect starter for 4 people. Came with ketchup, I wish they would do a remoulade option. My wife and I split the duo (snow crab, shrimp) and I decided to add a LB of blue crab. Medium homemade juice sauce (always....it's sooo damn good). Snow crab was really good this time, snappy not bendy like some places. knuckles sweet and not overly briny. Perfectly cooked and came apart and out easily. Shrimp were just a tad overcooked but not much. Potatoes were perfect. We sub +1 tater for the egg. Corn is never good at these places. :) gotta do those fresh not frozen to get it right. The blue crab had good flavor. However, crazy overcooked which made getting meat out damn near impossible. Stringy instead of in chunks and stuck totally to the shell. I mostly gave up. My biggest complaint is they have ZERO typical utensils. No crackers/pickers/hammers/etc. I managed to cut myself trying to get into a snow crab large claw, and the lack of pickers made the blue crab impossible to eat. I'm bringing my own next time....serious. Finished with the fried oreos which were a perfect finish to the meal. 6 oreos for $6 was a great price.

There is literally no where to stand while you wait for your table...and wait we did. We were shown to our table at 6:10. The hostess told us they had a party of 30 and party of 40, so we tried to be understanding but also-they accepted the reservations-so kind of on them. Our server had an attitude from the moment she approached our table. She was waiting on one of the parties, but still... We were sitting in the back room and it was LOUD. Like couldn't hear other people at our own table loud. We had an older person in our party and when we asked our server to come to the other side of the table so he could hear her, she didn't-so she ended up misunderstanding and bringing him the wrong drink. There was a guy who we *think* may have been a manager hanging around, but he never did a table touch, so hard to tell. We had questions because gluten free food is offered but not marked on the menu or online, it said ask your server. She was annoyed but we have allergies so...I will say they have really good gluten free options; however when we reconfirmed that she had gotten the gluten free bun she was annoyed again. The only reason I gave 2 stars (the one redeeming quality) was the food. It was all excellent and cooked perfectly. The server didn't come back to check how things tasted-but someone in our party flagged her down to get lemon wedges for her seafood pasta. The waitress literally rolled her eyes, grabbed lemons wedges from the bar and brought them in a cup that she slammed down and walked away without a word. We ordered dessert because we were there to celebrate a birthday. Before dessert came, our server cashed us all out. This is what put me over the edge: WHILE WE WERE STILL EATING she slammed down a reserved sign. When we started standing up, she picked it up. Most restaurants allow for 90 minutes for reservations to turn a table. We were only at the table for 70, so we totally weren't lingering. I might give this place another try because the food was so good, but because of this experience, I'd definitely think twice.

Tiny, carryout only, though there are a couple of tables to sit while you wait or maybe to eat a quick lunch. Super friendly staff. Fairly short menu; all the good stuff. They fried up the okra right then, though, and had a steady stream of pickup orders coming through the door, so it still took 10-15 minutes. It was okay, though, smelling the amazing scents coming from the kitchen, talking to the staff and customers. I hadn't noticed they have ribs (just a picture, not on the menu) so I might've ordered those. Oh well. $20 I think, or they do combos with sides or fish and sides. Anyway. I got fried okra, and it was a big portion and absolutely amazing. No need for any sauces, tasty on its own. Perfectly crisp. Baked beans: my style, sauce so thick you can eat them with a fork. Slightly sweet, mostly savory, very good. Greens (collards) with turkey: outstanding. Tender but not floppy, nicely seasoned. Cornbread: soft, sweet, crumbly, topped with butter. Yum. Geechee rice: seasoned, bacon and sausage, very good. And black-eyed pea salad. I like black-eyed peas but had never had them in a salad. These were great: plump, with bits of tomato and cucumber and onion, in a vinegary dressing. Again, yum. Enough food for two meals. Baking macarons is a tricky thing and Damaris did such a good job breaking down all the steps. She gave us lots of tips and tricks for our home baking, and you can see her passion for what she does. That said, I have been to several of the cooking schools in Columbus and this was my least favorite overall attendee experience. It was more expensive, yet very "basic" for lack of a better word. All of the cooking classes I have attended come with some kind of amenities - a welcome cocktail, wine bar, cheese and crackers, hot coffee/tea, etc. Something. This class was three hours long and there was nothing offered but water and iced tea (on a 20 degree day). We also did not receive any kind of information prior to the class, so parking was like solving a mystery (hint: the parking lot is behind the house down a side alleyway)

So first off I want to say I am glad my husband purchased me this gift. In theory cooking with tea…read moresounded like the coolest thing ever and it was a very thoughtful gift, but the actual experience was a bit lackluster. The Seasoned Farmhouse is a beautiful space, but the cooking class was just okay. I unfortunately didn't learn any new skills and the main reason for this review being so low is because my husband and I got food poisoning at the event. I felt sick as soon as I ate the food and didn't feel better until 24 hours later. I have lots of thoughts on why this happened, that I will explain later. Class + Recipes: The recipes we tried were good. It was a class all about learning how to cook with tea. We made Shaoxing Wine Tea-Poached Chicken with Scallion Oil, Sweet Tea-Brined Roast Chicken, Salad Greens with Golden Raisin Vinaigrette, Tea-Poached Eggs, Black Tea Poppy Seed Muffins, Earl Grey Tea Cake with Chopped Chocolate and Tea-Infused Cream Cheese Frosting and Roasted Yukon Potato Wedges with Aioli Sauce. The food tasted good and I appreciated the amount of thought that Chef Cindy Ramsey put into creating them. However, I was severely disappointed with the set-up of the class. I've been to 6 cooking classes at other locations and always was assigned to a specific station where each participant would make each dish and learn new cooking skills. This class was set-up where we were given a 20 minute lecture and then told to wash our hands and disperse to focus on different aspects of the meal. For instance I mixed the aioli sauce, iced the cake and teared lettuce leaves. Though we were told to wash our hands, we didn't wear gloves and this is what I believe caused my husband and I to get sick. Cons: Lack of cleanliness. During the demonstrations sometimes the chef would touch raw ingredients like eggs and chicken and would then touch other ingredients that would not be cooked. This leads to cross contamination and should have been avoided on the chefs behalf. In addition, because 10 different people peeled eggs, and various people touched ingredient components that would not be cooked I believe this also may be the cause of getting sick. As a science nerd let me share that we all have a different skin microbiome. Sometimes people carry more of one bacteria on their skin than others. Also depending on the length and cleanliness of finger nails, this also could cause unwanted bacteria on food that was prepared without being cooked. If these bacteria get into the ingredients, some people can get ill from them. Net: PLEASE HAVE ALL PARTICIPANTS WEAR GLOVES WHEN PREPARING FOOD, ESPECIALLY ITEMS THAT WILL NOT BE COOKED. I feel like the price of the class was not cheap and hopefully could cover the cost of gloves in the future. Based on this experience, I would not come here again and do not recommend it to someone who is looking for a more traditional style cooking class.

I've been thinking of coming here since I took Baby K to K-Pot. I mean, K House? Next on the list…read more But she's not that into Chinese, so I didn't prioritize it. Today my first lunch option turned out to be carry out only, so I came here. It's nothing fancy. It's a small strip mall Chinese place, but it's authentic Chinese, not Chinese American. The service is, well, a little disorganized; friendly, but perhaps with some confusion from the language barrier. And I think they mostly do carry out and don't have too many dine-ins. Very interesting menu, loads of things I wanted to try. I went with one almost at random. "Sauerkraut braised beef sirloin noodles with soup." It's not sauerkraut, it's bok choy and vegetables, not fermented. And the beef is mostly beef tripe. Very tender, but still, of course, a little chewy. Excellent broth, excellent noodles, loads of veggies. Huge, steaming, fragrant bowl. I wish I could've captured the scent in addition to the photos. So good. Involuntary moans. It was so big I couldn't finish it, and I came in hungry. Price was reasonable for quality and quantity. I will definitely be back to try other things.

Been wanting to try malatang for a while so I was excited to see K House has it. Unfortunately the…read more'create your own' option is a-la-carte off the menu so you pay for each ingredient individually, meaning it ends up being quite expensive. From what I know, malatang restaurants usually have open coolers where you can choose most of your ingredients and they charge by weight. The set malatang combos do seem like a much better deal, but the combos didn't appeal to me personally. The malatang itself was very delicious. The broth was very cloudy, perfect for a bone broth. The portion size was massive, possibly the biggest bowl of soup I've had in Columbus, and it was absolutely full of the ingredients I chose (lamb, lotus root, crown daisy, enoki mushrooms, two kinds of tofu, bean noodles). I chose the 'regular spicy' option but didn't find it spicy at all. The employees were happy to bring out a huge bowl of good quality chili oil for me to add, and it really made the dish. To be honest, I probably wont get malatang here again since it's so expensive, I'll wait for a restaurant that specializes only in malatang (I'll be on the lookout in NYC and Tokyo soon). But, I'm very interested in coming back to try their other dishes, since this one was such high quality. Bathroom was a bit shabby but the food is good enough that that doesn't matter.
