What a great place. The food is delicious. The beer is good. It's family friendly without being over the top loud. Great bourbon selection and cigars as well. read more

Food was good but overpriced. You can go to Oscars on Pierces and pay 1/2 the price for better food.

Went for the third time may 2. First visits were ok. Last trip they were cleaning half of the tap lines at 2 pm. The 9 beers we did sample were pretty flat. This didn't include the two we ordered and were forgotten on the bar by our server. When the manager asked how everything was, we mentioned the beers were flat. He made a crude joke about his last two girlfriends, in front of my wife and walked away. Complete low class move. We won't be back read more

Food and beer are Excellent- we come here all the time! Very creative menu and they are one of the best in a very crowded Milwaukee area of breweries. read more

First, I want to start off by saying the food was fantastic. Medium priced, but very large portions. The ambiance is very cool, and overall a nice place to eat with the family. The 3-star rating is due to our service experience on two separate occasions. The first time was just to try the beer selection. They got both mine and my husband's beer orders wrong, and the server had no idea what kind of beer she had given us. The second time we went for dinner with our son. We ordered the Truffle Frites for an appetizer. My husband ordered the Made Man pizza, I ordered the Stuffed Meatloaf, and our son ordered the Mac n' Cheese from the kids' menu. The Frites came very quickly, but then it seemed like we had been waiting a long time for our food. The waiter finally stopped by our table and said our food would be ready in 5 min, so we asked him to bring our son's food right away and he did. Then he said he would check on our food. He came back more than 10 min later and was surprised we didn't have our food yet (he had never checked on our order). The waiter told us the pizza takes a long time to cook. Note: 1) We noticed a table of 6 that were seated *after us* had gotten their pizza already. 2) We heard yelling at the pizza oven because the pizza cook dropped someone's pizza (hmm). I explained to the waiter that it would have been nice to know that the pizza would take more than 25 min to cook, as we would have asked him to bring the meals out as they were ready. He said he would "see what they could do" on our bill. We got the bill and there was a $0.50 discount for a "well behaved child." Again, the food was great and it is so close to our house that we may try again, but now we know not to go if we are hungry and want to get our food in a timely manner. read more

It's ok ! Sometimes the bartender has a horrible attitude . The food started off amazing it's just ok probably won't be going back to often

Just enjoyed a great meal while Christmas shopping! Excellent food, service and atmosphere! Hand crafted everything!

Horrible experience- been there before and it was not bad. 6 pm reservation - no food until 7 and orders were wrong and cold. Manager tried to make it right - still orders wrong and cold. Won't go back. read more

Great place to watch the game as they have a large projector screen & plenty of TVs... giant pretzel was awesome & so we're the truffle fries. Haven't had a beer I didn't like but the Quad is definitely my favorite. Great owners & staff! read more

Could not be happier with my experiences here. I come at least 2x a week & your staff is excellent! Jeff is awesome and makes sure to take great care of me and other guests! Food is always amazing and I love the variety! You guys rock! read more

Best in the area! We visited a lot of breweries and restaurants in the area, and Explorium was clearly tops. We returned here twice in three days as it was so good. Most of the time if a brewery has food, it's just mediocre bar fare, but not here. Crazy big angus beef burgers, bison burgers, pizza that was some of the best, and a menu with a lot more selections that you will enjoy such as mussels done three ways, an excellent shepherds pie, and a killer flatiron steak. We will return many times to go down this menu. The prices are absolutely fair for what they deliver, and they deliver. Now for the beer. We did flights of a lot of their brews, some which were textbook examples of historic styles executed flawlessly, and others that were completely mind-blowing such as the "Funky Doc Rae" which was a sour collaboration that is amazingly different than the regular Doc Rae. The Cascade Wet Hop IPA was magnificent, the hefeweizen was better than most, and the toasted coconut porter was another mind-blower (made with specially selected coconut). They are doing amazing things here and are collaborating with many great brewers around the USA. Don't let the size or the location fool you, this is probably the best overall brewery in the Milwaukee area and beyond. I travel, and I know beer and food, so I will be telling everyone to get over here and experience this as much as possible. Also need to mention that they have a great outside beer garden and patio bar where they have a fire pit and a lot of space heaters. This was opened up when we were there and we enjoyed a beer with the locals and the temps were in the low 30's and everyone was having a great time. Wish we lived closer!!!! Go here and enjoy one of the best you'll ever find! read more

Whos a$$ do i have to kiss to convince anyone to give this place a try?!?! You will not be disappointed. The beer. The food. The service. The beer. You cant go wrong. I make this my go to! Make it yours! read more

This is my new favorite place to dine at. The food is always on point and I never leave hungry. The staff is amazing!!!! The stuffed meatloaf is my favorite so give it a try. 5 establishment!!!! read more

Food was great!!! Really good selection and everything has a nice little twist to add a little character. Beer was very good as well. Last to round out where the 5 comes from, the staff. Every person was attentive smiling and curtious. You don't see that often these days. Enzo was our server and he was wonderful!! read more

Hostess was rude and busser put a dirty rag and spray bottle on our table before we left. Have never seen this type of behavior at a restaurant establishment in my life. Please take your dirty rag and cleaning spray OFF of my table until we are done eating/drinking. Just awful. We reside in Greendale and will never come back here. read more

service was just okay and food was just okay. there is a lot of potential for this location. Very nice ambiance and they have a great beer collection read more

Went last month and had a fantastic afternoon of apps and beers. The owner and brewmaster made a personal visit to our table to talk with us. Very friendly service and attention to detail. Very clean and very good brews! read more

Gotta give this place a 4/5.....it's almost perfect. Food is great and service is usually really good. My only complaint would be the smoking outside if I had to be picky. Beer is really nice and they partner with other breweries sometimes for special occasions which is a plus! read more

Husband and I were at the mall and thought we would try this place. We are sorry that we did. It was mid afternoon. Not too busy. Service sucked. We waited almost 30 minutes for our food. Got the fish and chips and a burger. Nothing special at all. Going to McDonald's for a fish sandwich and fries would have been better, less expensive, not so greasy and it would have tasted better. The coleslaw sucked. Oily taste like they mixed the cabbage with mayonnaise. Gross! My husbands burger was again nothing special. Again McDonald's would have been better. Waitress too busy gabbing with co workers where she didn't ask if we wanted another drink. Will never go back. Won't be suprised if the place goes under and closes. Also suprised that this place got higher ratings than a 1. But then some don't know what good food really is. Kind of like going to a salad bar where lettuce is brown and people just keep filling up their plates. read more

I have been here once when crowded and once with few patrons and received good service both times. It is a solid place to stop for a drink and some food. I was not disappointed in any of the beers they brew and serve, and I had a shepard's pie that was quite good. read more

Excellent beer, excellent service, and excellent food. My first time here, I was welcomed with a sampling of their beers based on the type I usually drink, which really helped me to choose what I wanted for my full pour. After talking with the owner, the friendly bartenders, as well as some regulars, they all learned my name and used it, so this place just felt like home. It was wonderful spending time in a place that truly cares about every aspect of their brewpub--these people really love what they do and it shows! I had the crispy salmon and the crab asparagus soup, and both were amazing! Any time I am in the area I will for sure be back! Thank you for the great beer and conversation! read more

We stopped in for our Anniversary and had thee best experience from the Atmosphere, food, and our waitress Megan was awesome, we definitely will be back and recommend to others! read more

My husband & I came here to try this place out. We got seated at the table immediately. The service was very good. My husband ordered a 11" pizza for himself and he said it was very good. He couldn't eat it all and took the rest home. I ordered fish & fries with tartar sauce and red cabbage slaw. Everything was tasty. I gave this a four stars because the place was cold. We had to eat with our winter jackets on. We weren't the only one, other customers were having theirs jackets on, too. read more

In a State of accomplished and goliath micro breweries, Explorium emerges as a young, but serious competitor in Wisconsin. Whether it's for a flight of beer, drinks and apps or a nice dinner with the family, Explorium has it all. Being a craft beer snob myself, I wouldn't bother leaving a review if any of their brews left me unenthused or bored, however it's hard to name another brewery where I've enjoyed nearly every creation they've come up with. Not to mention quality food to accompany the great beer. My personal favorite is the pub burger, but was recently very pleased with their wing basket. The large pretzel is also a flawless shareable. The staff is what truly brings the place together offering a high level of customer service all the while being fun and kind. The cherry on top and unlike many others, Explorium offers great incentive to come back! They do this by offering the occasional free beer or free dessert for frequently returning customers. If you're passing by or simply just enjoy exploring the superb craft beer community of Wisconsin, Explorium Brewpub is an absolute must. read more

Been here a few times. Good location but always really slow kitchen service. Very frustrating. Food is ok, but again - over 2 hours for a few Hamburgers is crazy. read more

Disappointed this time - we were told we could eat at the bar - we assumed that the room to the left was "the bar" then were told that no, we could not sit where we were, would need to put our names in for a table - no one seemed particularly interested in taking care of us. We were looking forward to eating here - it was great last time, but we left. read more

This is a very fun place to go. I went with my mother the day before mother's day as a treat to her. The beer garden outside was amazing, they have around 20 taps, some that are rotating, and many mainstays. I love dark beer, so I tried the Coconut Porter and the Tiramisu Stout. Both are seasonals, and both are amazing. We then went in to eat, were seated, and then our server forgot about us for 15 minutes. My mother was upset and decided to leave. I convinced her to give it another try on mother's day proper (todayl. We were not disappointed. The owner and his wife were tending bar at the beer garden, and we decided to eat outdoors to alleviate the prior day's issue. We had a few appetizers and soup. The cheese curds were amazing! They use a hop oil and some very good seasonings. Be forewarned, these are cold curds and not fried. They are still damn good for cold cheese curds. The calamari comes with fried lemon, some seasoning and sriracha- it seemed strange at first, but but was it ever good. I will definitely have that again. I then asked about their mug club (I saw about it when I was inside). It is a bit pricey up front ($120) but you get your money's worth. A t-shirt, a 20 oz mug. (my sister-in-law works for the company that makes the mugs, small world) You get 1 free mug fill to start, $5 mug fills (happy hour price) any time of any tap of theirs, and 10% off food during weekdays. The owner apologized as he was out of my size for the mug club shirt (I am a 3XL), so he gave me one of their regular shirts and told me he would order me a mug club shirt in my size. I will be returning soon and often. Thank you Mike and Explorium Brewpub! read more

I did have a great time here! I ordered a tiramisu stout that was amazing and our waitress was very friendly! The service was a little slow especially based on how few people were around, but I had a great beer to enjoy so that wasn't a big deal. We ordered the hummus as an appetizer and it was delicious as well! The issue was the meal. I had the turkey burger and it was terrible. I actually had to send it back and I never have to do that. It tasted like the patty had no seasoning at all. It was completely bland, yet also tasted like raw meat. It was cooked but had that raw meaty flavor and a terrible texture. The waitress was great and let me order some more hummus since that was delicious. Overall, I would go back but I wouldn't order the turkey burger. read more

Ordered fish fry and baked fish for pick up tonight. Food was not ready in the time they said when I arrived for pickup. I paid for the food and said I would have a beer at the bar and wait. I asked if they would bring the order to me there when ready, lady said yes. Took almost 40 mins total, I grab the food, left my beer I had left and went home. I live at most 2 blocks away. When got home, opened the containers and one of the meals was missing it's side potatoes. Both meals were cold to touch and the fish fry was soggy. I called and asked for the manager and requested my money back and she said she would. I went back within minutes and the owner was there to "greet" me and not the manager I spoke to. He aggressively came up to me and started blaming me for the cold temperature of the food, and the food had been siting under a heat lamp and wouldn't get cold. He furthermore stated that he watched the video of me drinking a beer. I did that only because the food wasn't ready, I asked two bartenders what was going on with the food (they said they don't know) and I left immediately when I received the food(not drinking the whole beer). The owner blamed me for the food and service and that is ridiculous. He said he didn't care if I was a customer or not. I had to ask 3 times for my refund, because he would NOT stop badgering me, in front of my SEVEN YEAR OLD CHILD. I moved to this village for a sense of community, and this place scared me and my child! BTW I am a 5' 2" and the "owner" towered over me. This food was not worth paying for and the way I was treated is inexcusable. read more

Amazing beer. So many options!! Great food as well, their service is impeccable. Went there for date night a few weeks ago and I can't wait to return! read more

We decided to try this place because we love beer and great food. This place definitely didn't disappoint. We ordered a flight of beer so that we could sample a bit. Every single beer that was chosen, both guest brews and in-house brews, was tasty and absolutely worth the try. We started by ordering the frites with truffles. They were amazing fries and we couldn't stop eating them. We also ordered a calzone and it was done to perfection. The kids ordered off the kids menu and they ate all their food. We were able to sit at a large booth and enjoy a casual lunch. We had a great time and enjoyed spectacular food and drinks. We will be back and will bring our friends!! Definitely recommend! read more

My fiancé and I came for lunch and both got soup and shared muscles. The service was great and everyone was very friendly. However, upon returning from the restaurant my fiancé didn't feel great, and several hours later I also did not feel great. Something we ate made me very sick several times. I would not recommend the muscles but would consider going back for other dishes. read more

My family went here for dinner and the food was mediocre at best with a steep price. There was nothing special about this place; it was a bit of a disappointment. We won't be going back. read more

My wife and I tried this place for the first time and for the most part it was pretty good. We got there around 4:30 so it wasn't busy yet. The person who seated us was also our waiter, he was very friendly and attentive. I ordered a burger and my wife ordered a Cajun shrimp I think? It was some sort of spicy shrimp. Her meal was just okay, it was a bit to vinegary. My burger was tasty, and the fries were really good. The reason I only gave it 3 stars was because of the lake of sandwich options. I think burgers were their only options for sandwiches, otherwise you are stuck with flatbreads or ordering an entrée. It is a very cool place inside, and its pretty cool that it is in the mall. I also thought the prices were fairly reasonable, and would have been even better if they had more sandwich options. It falls in that category that, it was pretty good, and if there was a Groupon or something I would go back. But not someplace I would go out of my way to eat, maybe if they expanded their menu a bit. Didn't try the beer. read more

Great brewpub! Cute place, great atmosphere. You have to have the 1 pound jumbo pretzel. It was awesome! A large variety of beer choices.

Fantastic. The atmosphere, the staff, and the food- we had the shrimp, meatloaf and the blackened chicken with pasta. It was hard to pick what was best, all were so good. They were very busy, but we got a table before our first beer was gone. We will be back soon, looking forward to the patio opening. read more
