GREAT SERVICE! Awesome food- kids pizza was on point, So was the all-American burger. It was cooked to profession. Very attentive waitstaff, diverse drink selection. We will be back again!! read more

Don't bother exploring this restaurant. The food is average pub type fare. The Long Island Iced Tea was probably alcohol free. The hamburgers were below average and not properly cooked. The cheddar mashed potatoes were cold to the touch and the replacement fries were brought to the table after we were finished eating. Do yourself a favor, skip the Explorium and walk across to Bucca de Beppo instead! read more

I had heard some time ago about the new brewpub opening at Southridge, but then kind of let slip my mind. Now I kick myself for not getting over there sooner. Made our first visit on a Saturday for Lunch. I was very impressed to say the least. WOW, no expense spared putting this place together. Everything is first class. The layout is perfect. Basically there at 3 somewhat separate areas to drink/dine. You have a great Bar area, a separate dinning area and last but not least a great patio with it's own outside bar, All of our lunch selections were very very good. Burgers done right, Kid's menu to please, Giant Pretzel and of course the beer. Very impressed to see at least 15 different brews. Their basic list plus a nice number of those unusual revolving brews that make for a good brewhouse. A great new find for us. We will be back often. read more

Outside seating was great. Service was slow at first but finally took my drink order. My order was good till a hair was found in the salad (oh well stuff happens) but they took care of it. I will return for a second try. read more

Gorgeous decorating, lots of detail, lots of beers from which to choose. Menu looks great - again, lots of choices for all tastes. Friendly staff, nice ambience. read more

My husband and I attended their summer launch bash. We came to see our friends band. At first we thought..hmm in a mall but we were pleasantly surprised at the great atmosphere inside and out. The staff was busy but the place was packed due to the event. Even though they were super busy we had great service especially from "Dan the man" bartender and Gabby. The food was great..we got our food fast and hot..even with them being so busy. One of the owners took time to introduce herself and give a little background on their brewery..very nice. They had like 20 beers on tap I believe..the terimasu Porter was yummy. We will definitely make this a stop when we are traveling your way..we have to try your brick oven pizza read more

Great place for drinks and appetizers. Love the beer cheese soup and the fish fry is amazing. They have both a bar side and a restaurant side so feel free to bring the kids along. They actually have a well behaved child discount which is great! A bit pricey but it's worth the experience for sure! read more

Staff was friendly, fun and had a decent grasp of their beer selection. Beer was delicious and the burgers were juicy and cooked to temps requested. The herders pie (sheperd's pie) was served up hot and tasty. Found broken glass shards under my booth seating, so perhaps management should emphasize cleaning better? Could have been a doozy had it been sandal season...Overall this place is a great addition to the mall. Will visit again! read more

Wow. I love this place! I'll be back tomorrow and the next day, and the next day, and the next day, and the next day...

Went in during the day for flights and appetizers. The decor was great, the beer and food was very good, and the prices were decent. They did have a beer and cocktail menu, which was appreciated. But, some of the beers on tap were not on the menu, only on a scrolling screen behind the bar. It was a bit annoying, but nothing that would make me not want to come back. I definitely want to go back for more flights. read more

I've been there several times. My salad stank. It was limp and wet. I guess the food is only good if the owner Mike is around.

First visit and definitely pleased with the pizza and drinks. The service and the welcome as you enter are a nice touch. Definitely will return for personal as well as entertaining customers. read more

Awesome place. Great burgers. Great service. Nice atmosphere for a mall restaurant!

This place is currently my favorite local hot spot! I have met and spoken to the owner and brew master a few times, both of which are friendly, kind and easy to talk to. Their beer list is awesome in my opinion. I love beer and have worked in a craft brew restaurant for two years. They are up to par if not better than the big name breweries. I would choose them over lakefront any day. Their food? Wow I love it. Unique, always cooked correctly, full of flavor and taste. I highly recommend you give it a try! read more

Heard so much buzz about this place, had to try it out. Great atmosphere, great selection of beers and a nice selection of food. We had a group of 5, and everyone tried something different, all items were very satisfactory. Our waitress was wonderful! Beyond wonderful! Walking us through the menu and making perfect suggestions. Overall a great place to meet friends. Can't wait until the patio outside is open! Since we live nearby, this is our new favorite hangout. read more

Explorium Brewpub helped sponsor a disc golf event and welcomed us with open arms and filled our empty bellies with delicious food and fantastic beer. I can tell you right now I'll be here a lot more often. Next time for the Imperial Stout Herders Pie, yum. read more

Had the Wood fired pizza for a quick lunch. Pretty tasty and the house made brews that I had here were done exceptionally well. There were only 4 on tap but more are to come soon and I can't wait! Sure it might be a little pricey but if that's the case get a 10 dollar pizza and all is well. You get what you pay for and it's all quality here. I look forward to try more of there food but so far it's a solid A for me.. Being a craft beer nut like myself it's a definite MUST to check out. Oh and service here is great too. We'll worth it. read more

Stopped in last night for date night on a whim. Our server was attentive and funny. Food was delicious. I would recommend the calamari, the made man calzone (enough for leftovers the next day!), and the bison burger. The burger was ordered medium rare but came out closer to well done. We also ordered a crowler of the peanut butter stout to go. We will return and are looking forward to enjoying the patio during warmer weather! read more

I had high expectations for this place considering the good reviews, but was highly disappointed. The service and atmosphere was fine. I had ordered the bacon wrapped, stuffed provolone meatloaf with the side of cheddar mashed potatoes; which sounded heavenly. The food took about 45 minutes to an hour, which was understandable considering I had ordered meatloaf. When my food finally arrived it lacked flavor in all areas. Both the meatloaf and potatoes were extremely bland, not to mention the meatloaf was by no means soft or tender. It took quite some strength to just cut off a slice. The portion sizes were big, I will say that but if what I had is any indication of what the rest of their menu items taste like....I'll pass. read more

Great craft beer brewed on-site...great artisan cheese and meat board. Am looking forward to a return visit.

I went there on a Friday for March Madness. They had 4 TV's, all with the same game playing. I asked the manager to put one of the other 3 games on but she said all 4 TV's had to be the same game. I know this was a lie because I was there before and there were different things on all of the TV's. So I asked to put the Virginia game on and about 15 minutes later she finally put it on. The food was good but very overpriced. $14 for a pretzel and only enough cheese for half of it. The beer was good. Every time I needed another one I would have to flag down the waitress. I was very disappointed with the service and I would probably give it 1 star if I didn't witness a historic 16 vs 1 upset there. read more

I had the orange dream beer (delicious!) and one of the bison burgers I believe. It came with grilled onions, fried egg, bacon, blackened patty with a side of truffle fries. Fries were greaT! Burger was mediocre. I wouldn't say it was one of a kind or super special. We sat outside so our server took longer to get our orders and bring out drinks/bill but aside from that the server was kind and friendly. read more

This place is always bursting at the seams. There is always a full dining room and a waiting list. We decided to take the plunge and to sign in and wait for, what seems like the hottest spot in Greendale, WI or at least in Southridge Mall. Check-in was actually nice. They take your mobile number and text you when your table is ready so you can walk around the mall while you wait. What they told us would be a 25 minute wait ended up being about 10 minutes and our table was ready. The dining room has so much character and everything is so crispy and new. It is extremely loud. And when you have a couple of rowdy kids an extremely loud dining room is kind of nice because we didn't have to keep telling them to shush or be quiet. We ordered some wings and truffle fries. The wings were boneless and were scrumdiddlyumptious. We had the wings tossed in the mildest sauce, which was garlic Parmesan. The wings were perfect. What made the truffle fries good is that they were hand cut fries that were crisp on the outside and creamy on the inside. They came with an aioli lemon dipping sauce, which was very rich. I committed the sin of dipping my truffle fries in ketchup and darn those were some gooooooood fries. I had a 'flight' of tap brews (4 4oz glasses) and the beer was all very tasty and fresh. My two favorite beers were the 'blueberry muffin' and the 'coffee and donuts'. I was very surprised to find out that the drinks were all at a deep discount because we happened to visit during happy hour. With our Yelp check-in offer this meal was extremely CHEAP. It was like, CRAZY CHEAP, ya'll. The prices on their own were actually quite reasonable to begin with. I now know why this place is always bursting at the seams. The Explorium Brewpub is wonderful, delicious, fresh and reasonably priced AND well worth the wait. There are very few places in the southern burbs like this. read more

I am not sure how I missed this return comment, but we will not be visiting your place again. Shame on you for speaking to a,customer like this. The employees even said they were treated terribly so it wasn't acceptable. read more

Very cool local brew pub with great food and a super assortment of beer. The outside bar is comfortable and inviting with a great fireplace. Beer flights, bourbon flights and cigar selections. They have a wood fired oven for pizza's and calzones. read more

We ate at the Explorium Brewpub on December 1st. There was a wait for a table but we wanted to try out the new restaurant. I ordered a brewers burger done medium well. Upon the first few bites it became apparent that the burger was not cooked thoroughly. There was a pool of blood from the burger that my bun eventually soaked up. I would have brought this to the waiters attention but he did not approach the table after taking our order (someone else delivered the food). We then sat waiting for about 30 minutes after the completion of the rest of our meal for the waiter to return to ask if we would like anything else. I was extremely disappointed in this restaurant as we were looking for somewhere new to eat. On the bottom of the receipt the owner said that he could be emailed with positives or negatives and would reply in a prompt manner. It has been almost a month without a reply to my email. I would highly suggest against visiting this establishment. *pictures are attached* read more

Service was friendly and very good. Beers and food delightful. Will definitely visit often

This Brewpub and restaurant is warm and inviting. The decor is spectacular. I have visited several times and each visit was consistent with great food, beer and service. Looking forward to the patio opening. read more

We've tried multiple times to come here, hoping each time it would be better, but sadly it's been the same every single time. Poor Service. Not even poor service . Abysmal. It takes FOREVER to even be acknowledged. Tonight was the final straw . We decided to walk out instead of wait for someone to come over to the check in desk to seat us, like we were told to do. It's a shame. Have met the owner here once and he has a great personality and passion for what he does . Good beers show that. But more attention needs to be paid to service and ultimately customers . read more

Went to the brew Pub last night for the first time. We have been meaning to go and with Covid and other things we haven't made it. We ordered pick up last night and that was a totally great experience. Just called a number when we got there and they brought out the food right away. We ordered a variety of appetizers so we could try them. The pretzel was soooo good and the mustard really great. The Reuben rolls were also excellent. Big, crunchy and totally satisfying filling that is definitely a Reuben. Finally, I had the blackened shrimp tostadas. They had a pleasant bite I wasn't expecting but I'm getting it again. For entrees my wife had the black bean burger and loved it, but it was a bit spicy. I had the meat loaf. Best I've ever had. Wrapped in bacon with a nice ketchup like sauce, served with really good tasting mashed potatoes and a vegetable medley. For desert, we each ordered the bread pudding which I was glad I didn't have to share. Nice flavor, really moist and loved the walnuts and ice cream topping. We will definitely go back, try new things and maybe even eat there. All in all you will like this place. read more

Stepped in there yesterday for appetizers and a drink. The server was very polite and made a good move on upwelling me a couple items on the menu. Unfortunately that's all that I can compliment them on. We weren't greeted when we entered the place. Had to actually go find a server in the restaurant to be sat. The food was amazingly underwhelming, reminds me of a cheap version of Water St. Brewery. Had the Scotch Ale flight, good idea in thought but the Scotch Ale started flat and bodieless, didn't leave much room to expand the beer through different styles. Won't be back. read more

It took bit to write this but I really want to acknowledge the Monday Mug Club, the great management & staff at this pub. Our family went for drinks & dinner & to celebrate my amazing nephew, who passed away suddenly a few weeks ago. Mike & his team welcomed the whole lot of us & not only honored Joel by "retiring" his mug but the support they provide to their bartender, Joel's true love, our sweet, sweet Ashley, cannot be measured. They also served us some great food! Every single thing we all ordered from salads to soups to giant pretzel & the incredible pizza was just delicious! The beers were all great as well & everyone tried different kinds. Thank you for the great food, drinks & for your generous hospitality, which I suspect is offered to everyone who walks in. The Monday Mug Club may have lost one of it's best members but Explorium has gained a big new crew of patrons. read more

I keep going back. I love their rotating beers. The food (burgers, pizza, etc) is good. The HUGE pretzel is spectacular. It's located in a shopping mall, but you really wouldn't know it. They even did a great job on the beer garden making it feel cozy. read more

First time visiting The Explorium Brewpub and we had a great time! Sat outside at the bar and Eric took great care of us. Big Doc beer was fantastic and so was the Buffalo Chicken Pizza. We even had the pleasure of meeting Joan and Mile, the owners. Great people and we felt like we had been friends forever. If you haven't been yet, don't wait any longer!! read more

It gets three stars because it honestly has some awesome beer! Originally, we were kinda turned off by the fact that the restaurant was in the mall but we continued anyway. The atmosphere and decor is awesome, rustic meets farmhouse meets brew pub (they had already won me over). They also had a great bar set up with plenty of TVs. Service was great, waitress was friendly! Their cocktail menu and beer list had plentiful choices but, then comes the downfall, the food. We got their beer ale cheese & baguette. The cheese was so bland, there was no noted hints of beer or spice. Then we got the made man pizza, I mean pizza is always our safe choice. Unfortunately the pizza wasn't even as good as tombstone frozen pizza. I was super disappointed to say the least. The crust was ok but the sauce lacked any flavor and the rest of the ingredients honestly didn't make it any better. I hope their food gets better or maybe it was just an off day because the rest of this place is awesome. read more

I have no even gotten my food yet, and I am so disturbed by how long this is taking. Most of my friends have not even been served a drink and it's been at least 30 minutes. I know I am upset with this, hopefully this food is worth it. read more

Very large choice of beers and no one in our group was not pleased. The pretzels were huge. Two was enough for our group of nine. Could not have had a better first trip to the Explorium! Food was good and service was excellent! Thier brew selection was amazing (several dozen) and each we tried was right on (blonde, lime, cream, hitchhiker and nut brown). The outdoor patio and firepit was the perfect place to hang out. Can't wait to go again and keep working our way down the list! Will definitely be back soon. read more

Took my daughter there for her birthday and she ordered the kids pizza. It came with black hair on it and we sent it back to the waiter. They did take it off the bill but didn't offer us anything else. So my birthday girl didn't get to eat dinner on her birthday. Had to stop at McDonald's on the way home so she could eat. Never again read more

Dear Mike, I find it interesting that 1.) you did not respond to my concern for one of your staff writing down my credit card number without my permission to "take care of it later." How would you feel if you went somewhere, out of town, and someone carelessly wrote down your account information in a messy notebook? I highly doubt this would sit well with you either. 2.) and how YELP won't include my review in your overall score. Did the people that waited on us tell you that from the time we were served our food (nearly an hour wait for soup?) until the time we all began to get worried and had to leave that it was 55 MINUTES LATER, when we had to keep asking for our tabs? And then they couldn't even ring us up - we kept getting excuse after excuse. And your "manager" has no customer service skills. For him to snap at me, in front of several other customers, at the front entrance when I asked him why he had my cc number scribbled in his notebook, was totally unprofessional. I had been waiting for over 20 mins - this after the initial 55 minutes - and yes, I was upset and frustrated with his total lack of control over the situation. Never mind we called ahead and gave specific details of the size of our group and were ASSURED our time constraints could be met. This was NOT the case. We were held hostage there for over two hours and had to rush to get to our team commitment. My assessment of the lack of taste of your food and the fact that it's overpriced is pretty much in line with a lot of the other reviews also - have you read them? But since you're flair is for micro brews, I'm sure people will keep coming there. read more
