Went last night at 5:30pm. Prime time. We were lucky to get a table right away. I took my mom as she's never been. We each ordered a beer right away and an order of cheese curds. The beers came pretty fast as well as the curds. They were hot and fresh and I just love the ranch dipping sauce at this place. It's amazing! We waited about 30 mins to order food. When we did it was 6:40pm and we ordered 1 meal to split. We ordered the sliders with fries. It took over 35 mins to get 1 meal. The wait was a bit long as at that time the place was getting empty. One suggestion is since you have to scan a QR code to order there needs to be an option when you add your meal to say "sauce in side" or an additional comments area? My mom doesn't like thousand island dressing but I do and since we're we're sharing the only option I was given was not have the dressing at all. So I had to walk up to the front counter and they had to wait till they saw the order and then they had to go into the computer and add the comment. It was just a headache that could've been fixed with this added to the app for convenience, i'm sure I'm not the only person that wants a sauce on the side? read more

Stopped in for a beer and diner after a hike around Waukesha. Nice clean, comfortable, modern interior. I enjoyed my Naked Threesome IPA. My Mello Rillo wasn't as good; described as lighter but not for me. My wife enjoyed her Black Walnut Imperial Stout and Six Stone Scotch Ale. We relaxed with our beers and played some cribbage, then ordered food by scanning our table code. We both ordered the grilled chicken, bacon and avocado sandwich with fries. They were brought to our table fairly quickly. They were very good, with a nice serving of chicken, thick cut bacon, avocado, lettuce and tomato on toasted bread. It's been a while since we've been to their second location and they've expanded quite a bit! They now have shipping container type bars and game areas and plenty of patio seating. Stopped on a Friday night for dinner and they had live music so it was packed. Thankfully, we found a high top table for our group. They have similar ordering to other breweries (e.g., Eagle Park) and you can order via QR and keep your tab open and keep ordering throughout the night. It's a lot easier since you don't have to fuss with a server, wait for the check, etc. They even indicate the approximate wait time for food so it was nice for planning apps and dinner. Pretty quick service from time of ordering and they have water stations to grab your own water as needed. The parking is limited since they use a lot of their lot for patio seating but you can park on the surrounding streets. Nice bathrooms with plenty of supplies for ladies. Great touch! Depending on the weather, you have your choice of outdoor activities and seating or heading inside and watching TV. You can roam around and choose from all the bar seating, high tops, and barrel tables, and play whatever games you'd like. For beers, I've had their Deep Dark Secret, Black Walnut, Snakes & Spiders, and a few others. If you have nothing else, at least indulge in their fries, which are dusted with signature RG seasoning. Served with N3S beeroli and ketchup. But be warned, they go down like candy while drinking. We find ourselves ordering more or going for another menu item like a Bottoms Up Burger or French Onion Burger. You'll get some protein and another round of fries. I haven't had their pizzas, though they do great with the food, so I'm certainly willing to go for that on another trip out there. Their ceilings are high, so I find the acoustics nice; the sound doesn't echo so much that I have to yell to talk to the person next to me. It's always nice meeting other beer fans who share their experiences with things they've tried at Raised Grain. Also, don't be shy; talk to others, especially the staff! Introvert or not, take some samples of what you may be interested in before committing to that full pour. Sometimes, it makes more sense to have a flight as opposed to a full glass of something that's very flavor-forward. Always check your glasses while you're out there. Unfortunately, it is common in breweries for me to get a glass with someone else's lipstick on it from time to time. Food was okay...service was rough. Seem definitely like they wanted to leave versus help you. Cheese curds were above average...but they were a bit over salty. Food took long time 45+ minutes and wanted to add to order on phone but they cancelled kitchen service mid order. Super annoying. Rest of Food was mid. There are no waiters assigned to the tables, you have to scan the app and order on your phone after you find your own table and seat yourself or you can wait in line and order at the bar. They only have IPAs and ales. No cocktails 25 minutes after we order via an app someone came to tell us they didn't have the sliders we ordered 65 minutes after we ordered my husband went to the bar , because there is no service and no one to ask, how much longer and was told it was a 90 to 120 minute wait. Neither my husband nor I drink but we went with Raised Grain Brewing because it was close to the park that we went to for tennis and it has a large dining section for our group of nine. Our group ordered separately by scanning the QR code at the table. My family of four tried the Birdseye Tripel cheese curds, fries, and pepperoni and mushroom pizza. Black Walnut Imperial Stout: I estimate I consumed as much beer on an average Saturday in college as I do in three months these days. Occasionally I take up the opportunity to try something new though. I couldn't find a whole lot of info on the history of Raised Grain Brewing Co. What I can tell you is that it is located in Waukesha, WI, their current brewery opened in 2018, and most interestingly, the team is led by two local doctors, a professional cyclist, and a local entrepreneur. Their Black Walnut Imperial Stout is described as a complex stout with hints of vanilla and coffee supported by a dark, Belgian malty base with candy sugar. It has an IBU of 100 and an abv of 9.5%. The stout pours an opaque black with a good-sized tan head. There's a creamy feel to it and it has a medium thickness good for the winter months. Taste was mostly chocolate and coffee with just a hint of vanilla in the aftertaste. Personally, I thought this was just okay (3 stars for me), but I'm biased as I'm not a huge fan of stouts. Really enjoy this spot! It is great for visiting with friends or with kids. They are always busy but in the summer have ample seating inside and out. Their food is actually really good. We had the nachos appetizer and who puts goat cheese on nachos? No one. But I'm telling you it was crunchy creamy heaven! They do rotate various pizza flavors and those are unique as well. For ambiance its a brewery its kinda cool i have been to more immersive places before but still interesting to see the big kegs and the fun names of the craft beer. Food was fine both of us got burgers a BYO BURGER double patty was 21$ classic onion, lettuce, pickles, and cheddar cheese. Honestly speaking its was fine, Culver's is cheeper with similar taste. There was no service other than waiters dropping food off, you have to get your own water, order for yourself on your own phone, grab your own to go box, AND cleaning up after yourself. That honestly ruined the experience for me ESPECIALLY when i went to pay my tab and they requested 20%. Definitely was a joke they are lucky I even tipped 5$. Cons: After our table spent at least $200 in the establishment, and after playing a dice game at our table for about an hour, the (I assume) manager walked over around 10pm and I kid you not, says "With all due respect, I'm glad you guys are having fun, but I can hear you from my office." Ok, he could hear us from his office. At 10pm.. at a brewery. And the problem with that is what, exactly? Your patrons who have had a couple drinks each, were enjoying some burgers, pizza, dippers, beer, and each others' company, and you for some reason had a problem with their "fun", at 10pm, when the place was 75% empty. We weren't swearing, we weren't using any offensive language, and we weren't being disrespectful to any of your staff. Yet the noise level was so bad that you had to scold us, instead of just saying to yourself "Wow, these people are having a good time.. I'm kind of envious.. Yeah, they're a little rowdy, but they're not hurting or offending anyone.. We're closing soon anyway, so even though their volume level might annoy me, they spent a lot of money here and I do want them to come back someday." Guess what? We were about to leave anyway, and we were about to leave as happy customers who would return again very soon based on the 3.5 hours we spent there-- except your little comment at the end canceled all of that out. What a great space! Despite its size, it's often quite busy, but in summer, the outdoor space adds a lot of real estate. It's a very family-friendly spot, with regular and "high-top" high chairs. There's often live music. Food is great, including rotating specials. We especially like the Notorious PIG and Tony Pepperoni pizzas; the fries are perfect for sharing. We really enjoy their wide variety of beer too, and they recently started carrying wine. The only issue we've had is a few SNAFUs with the QR code ordering system, but the staff is quick to help with any problems. read more

This place is huge inside and you can see where they brew the actual beer. We went at 3pm on a Saturday and it already add a lot of people but their was a baseball game going on. We ended up getting a flight of beer which is always nice because you can sample lots of things if you're not a regular. I like that they also add pretzels. We ended up eating here and the food was great. I would go back just for the food. I do wish they had people coming around to check up more. Someone dropped off our food and we never had someone stop again. If we needed anything like napkins or ketchup we had to go to the bar. I met my family here on a Saturday afternoon for some beers and food. I really like the space, it's open and huge. You can order from your phone at your table or up at the bar. As far as food, I wish they had more vegetarian options other than fries, garlic bread and nachos but they do rotate menu items daily for specials so maybe they offer more at times. I tried the garlic bread which was okay and the nachos were unique with goat cheese, beer cheese sauce, jalapenos and picked onions. My sister raves about their pizza so I will have to try that eventually. A few people split the parm garlic wings and loved them, but the ranch wasn't a favorite at the table. They have lots of beer options but I only tried two. They also make their own seltzer and sell that in to-go cans along with their beer. Raised Grain is a model brewery for covid times. Right from the time you walk in, till you get seated and order drinks/food, everything is contactless and very well organized. The taproom here is HUGE with 4-5 different spaces of seating with lots of big screens to catch the game. The front patio is my favorite because of the fact that you can bring dogs there. Their IPAs are truly legendary, just the right amount of hops and flavors. The beer selection is extensive and if you're not a beer person, choose from their abundance of hard seltzers and non alcoholic beverages. One of my favorite breweries in southern Wisconsin. Drinking a west coast IPA today but so many of their beers are terrific.
