    Beer flight
    Emily L.

Got a flight of beer and the cheese curds. All were amazing! For my third beer, I had my bartender surprise me, and it ended up being my favorite one! Cortez was an amazing bartender, and I had a great experience thanks to him! It is a cute bar in the mayfair collection.

Went here for the first time last night. Went for happy hour with a coworker because it was right in the neighborhood. Shockingly even though it was extremely busy we still found two seats at the bar. The place has plenty of space. It's honestly huge. I had cava, and whatever brand they're using is decent. The prices weren't horrible. They were about average. We did not have any food, but I've heard the food is average at best. Nothing to write home about, but it is definitely a convenient spot in Mayfair area. The bartender that we had was a nice guy. It's not normally the first place I would pick, but like I said it is convenient and because of that, I would go back for happy hour.

Stopped in on a Friday afternoon for drinks and an appetizer. The place was calm as other patrons started to trickle in. We enjoyed some sour beers and their large pretzel with cheese. The server was friendly and gave us a sample of the beer before making our final decision. It's a relaxed atmosphere, great for grabbing a drink or meal at the main bar or at a table whether you're solo or with others. There is plenty of seating indoors and outside as well.

Stopped here for restaurant week to try the new Explorium after they absorbed Good City. We weren't a big fan of Good City so hoping for an improvement. The space was blocked off a bit so there was a wait at about 6pm on a Friday night but it wasn't long (10-15 min). Once we were seated, our server stopped by pretty quick after. We ordered the beer and burger special and unfortunately the hefeweizen tasted a little soapy but the IPA was okay. Our server was busy and we didn't want to say anything since it was a little crazy (March Madness, too). We asked that the burgers be cooked well done but there was still a good amount of pink in both of ours. The fries were pretty good though - both the house and curry fries. If it weren't for the special, we wouldn't have stopped in. Happy we tried it but will probably wait until they iron out the kinks. I will say that the food server was hustling - he was trying to drop food off at tables quickly. Our server was nice, but again, just busy.

Has gone from bad to worse in my opinion during the Friday lunch hour with hardly any patrons it was slow moving with the employees The transition from the previous brewpub isn't doing well. Other location at Southridge has a rewards program but was given a strange look when I wanted to provide my number for credit Food doesn't taste as good as the original location

Had a good time with coworkers on a Monday night! We went for quizmaster trivia - its was not very busy and we easily found a table for our group of 6. I ordered their seasonal cocktail the Sunset Sour and it was very good. We also got the pretzel and hummus tray to share. Get the addition of the beer cheese very delicious! Our server also kindly broke up our bill into 5 separate ones which was very nice.

We're looking for an easy dinner spot and popped in, sat and the bar and must've caught them between breaks. We waited for a while for a menu and drinks, but the staff was all really nice. For a brewery type place I was expecting a larger tap list, although we found good options. The place is big, and really neat inside but was super quiet on a Friday night. It seemed odd that 2 of the 3 food items we tried to order weren't available. Food was ok, but it's not going to be my first choice.

First time trying Good City Brewing - Tosa and enjoyed my dining experience. Came in on a Thursday evening - seat yourself environment with plenty of options. Our server was prompt with taking drink orders and making recommendations. They have a special menu each month in addition to their normal food menu. I loved the Bloody Mary, which had a nice level of heat to it. The burger was cooked perfectly and the curry fries were a nice change of pace. Highly recommend the sweet potato fries too. I appreciated the variety on the menu!

First time here. Service was very slow. I ordered the chicken wrap with blackened chicken and curry fries. The wrap was falling apart and too spicy. Other than that no other flavors. Very plain. Wouldn't recommend. The fries were just ok. My bf had the fish fry and he said it was good. I dont think we will be returning anytime soon.

Excellent hazy IPA. It wasn't bitter at all, easy to drink. The best hazy I've had. You have to try it. The food is awesome as well!

But parking is paid parking on the street, with spots hard to find. Once the parking situation is resolved, things are great. The vibes inside was awesome - very open, with lots of seating. There seems to be tons of seating options, and outdoor seating as well for when the days are warmer. And for a brewery, the most important thing? The beer, of course! And it was good. We've had their beer before and have always like them. It was great getting some more on draft. Agro pop IPA Yummy!! Panther pale ale OK, but not my fave. I wouldn't get it again. Cheese curds $14 These were delicious, but it did get salty after munching through the plate. We were limiting ourselves to just one drink, and needed more drinks or another food item to mediate our tastebuds. I'd order again with a proper meal or with more booze. Service was super nice, though not quite polished, which I don't mind at all. Points for a nice smilze!

It felt like being in an Irish pub, with some interesting batched cocktails behind the bar, staff offering samples of their new menu creations, and a fantastic BLT. When I first pulled up to the building it was 7:30am, and they were open. But the windows somehow made it look dark inside, and I literally had to put my nose to the glass to see any activity. Otherwise I might have thought they were closed and kept going (special glass that cuts down glare inside?). Once inside there are several different areas for seating; the bar with stools, the front windows ledge with more stools, or the center area that has larger tables for various size groups. Lots of natural light from the front windows. The interior design, is a bit industrial, well lit, and welcoming. Things were neat and clean. Inside there was a short line to the counter which was right ahead. Took a few minutes to arrive at counter and order. Got a pleasant greeting and help with the order. I ordered the usual London Fog Tea Latte (little lavender, little vanilla, and extra foam). They didn't have much in the way of pastries/bakery. They were out of the Coffee Cake, but suggested the Apple Galette supplied by Miss Molly Bakery. They don't have the ability to warm up the bakery, which was a little disappointment. They took their time steeping the tea, which is a good thing. It came with a nice head of foam, had great flavor, and was the right temperature (148F). Texture-wise it could have been a little creamier. The Apple Galette was amazing. The crust was flakey and nicely sprinkled with course sugar. The apples had great flavor and were moist. The atmosphere was relaxed and most people were having quiet conversations. There's a very chill cat (Sugar) roaming around the place, and occasionally keeping people company. Not my favorite, but definitely a place that I would return to.

There was a polka band and they guys walked around singing to all the tables before their set started. Super cool. They have a small kitchen. I was disappointed to learn that they don't make their special flavored cheese curds on Fridays, but the regular ones were just fine and enough for our table to share. There's a little deck in the back that overlooks the Milwaukee River that we were able to enjoy on a beautiful, unseasonably warm day. Overall a nice time here. One kind of weird thing that happened here, which I only mention because it didn't seem like our tour guide was able to handle it in the moment, and they definitely need a system in place to handle guests that are making the rest of the group uncomfortable. There was a guy who kept turning around and staring at people, fidgeting in a way that I recognized as agitation, and kind of pacing. All the parents who had kids in the group realized there was a problem and even though we didn't know each other, kind of formed a line in front of the kids. I'm sure it was a one-off, but there has to be a way to deal with guests like that. Also a little weird that kids over the age of 12 have to pay for the tour, but each of their soda drinks took two tokens, while the adults only used one for beers.
