One of my top favorite places for cheese curds! The ranch that comes with them is so good. They also have a fantastic fish fry. Large selection of tap beers to choose from. I like that they have an area to sit outside right on the river. Perfect for a summer day!

We did the brewery tour and then got some snacks after the tour. The tour was so fun/funny and you got to take your beer in it and also get a pour mid way through. The pretzel was delicious and so was the mustard but I personally didn't love the cheese dip. We got the fried cheese curds of the month and that was Cajun one which was very delicious!

Lakefront Brewery is a Milwaukee staple. A great place to grab a couple beers and enjoy the riverwalk. Dare I say best cheese curds in Milwaukee??? Great indoor ballroom with large ceilings. Bartenders are knowledgeable and friendly!

Wonderful brewery with some of the best beers around! The curds and chicken salad were tasty and thoroughly enjoyed! The staff was friendly and energetic! Plenty of space for the whole squad and they do tours periodically throughout the day.

10/10 experience at Lakefront Brewery. Started off with the legendary brewery tour. With the price of your tour, you got 4 beers and a pint glass. Our tour guide was fun and entertaining. All the beers were excellent. Tried a variety of things during and after the tour. Also ordered some of their cheese curds which are supposedly the best in all of Milwaukee. We got the classic curds as well as the Mexican street corn loaded curds. Both were amazing and I do agree they were the best ones we tried while in Milwaukee. If I lived in the area, I'd have a hard time not coming here every weekend.

Came here on a Friday night and while it was PACKED, it didn't take long for us to see a party leaving to get a table inside. We had a party of 7 (plus a stroller) so we got a table in the corner which was nice and cozy yet you could still see everything. I didn't know I would love live Polka so much but it was an ideal musical backdrop as it wasn't overbearingly loud for us to shout at each other to converse but loud enough for people to dance on the dance floor. The system is that you find a table, get the number of the table, then line up for food (drinks are a different line), put your order in, and they bring it to your table. We got some people ordering drinks while others ordered food so it was faster. It was Friday so I wanted Friday Fish Fry! I read a ton of reviews for the best places to try but we ended up here partly based on how historic the FFF is here and the space to accommodate our group with kids. Still, I had high expectations that the Fish Fry did not meet. I got the cod (maybe I should have gotten the other fish) and it was dry on the inside and the outside was soggy, not crispy. The fish was mild at least and not fishy at all (at another place it was juicy and crispy but way too fishy). The cheese curds were a hit and my son, who is allergic to dairy, eggs, and nuts, was able to have the chicken tenders and fries and he rated it pretty high. I got a case of the maple root beer which we enjoyed for the remaining days. The old Fashioned type cocktail was okay. Should have gotten beer at a brewery! Long story short: Cheese curds 100% Food - Friday Fish Fry 40% Cocktails (should have gotten beer) 30% Ambiance 100% Service 40% Instagram worthy 70%

Very fun place with a great outdoor river patio. Tour: Did the tour first. It's full of jokes & basically a run down of how beer is made and the history of Lakefront Brewery. Total runtime is around 50mins. Cost is $13 on the weekdays & $16 on the weekends. You get 4 tokens for 4 different beers, generous pours that adds up to about 2.5 beers. I'm addition, you also get either a souvenir glass or bottle opener. If you pay for the beer separately, it's about $3 a pour so the tour is a good deal. You can use your tokens before, once during the tour & after the tour. Food: I got the fish & chips basket. Very fresh fish with a thin batter. Seasoned fries that did not require ketchup. I enjoyed the coleslaw & would describe it as a healthy version. Beer: I tried the Riverstein, which I believe is a red ale? 'm not a big drinker. Dehydrates my skin & makes it red.Very good beer though. Ambiance: Beautiful, relaxing riverfront patio. Watch the boats go by. Love it. Service: Great. Patient with my non knowledge of beer & very quick with food orders. You go up to different counters to order your beer vs food & pay for it. So, I think the beer menus falshed too quickly on a board like you were checking on your flight status. I would prefer a menu I could scan with my phone. Service: Great. The one disappoinment was they did not have the non alcoholic beer listed on their website. This should be updated. I will be back. They did not have non alcoholic beer so I will be back for that & also to eat some cheese curds.

Wisconsin is known for 2 things; beer and cheese curds. Lakefront Brewery does a fantastic job at both. My friends and I wanted to have both atleast once while visiting Milwaukee. We saw a lot of good reviews on Yelp and so we thought Lakefront would be a good pick. The Brewery is located right on the lake so it has a nice view. The building is massive so luckily there is a lot of seating but it gets crowded. We ended up having to wait 30 minutes but luckily they have a gift shop so there is something to do. Their beer is fantastic. My husband enjoyed it so much that he ended up buying a cup. We also had the pretzel and the cheese curds which we all enjoyed. Lakefront will be a frequent stop when I'm in Milwaukee

Really fun place with a great back deck overlooking Milwaukee River. Beer is great and the cheese curds are fantastic. My favorite beer was the pumpkin, but the dark lager was good as well. There is ample inside seating, and then top and bottom outdoor seating to watch the boats cruise down the Milwaukee. I recommend the cheese curds or the fish basket!

    Curds were okay

Let's start with the positives. This location is epic. Great views of the river and the city. On a warm breezy summer day in Milwaukee, not many other places I would want to be. Inside the beer hall was just as fun and inviting. Service- are flights frowned upon on a Thursday afternoon at 1:30pm? My beertender could not be more displeased with me wanting a flight. She even filled one of my pours 3/4 of the way. Would she rather me try 4 or 5 beers and then get a pint? Not sure why she acted that way. Beer - decent but I'm not running to the store to get a 6er. The cold IPA was warmer than the other beers . Food- cheese curds were award winning but they were okay. The poutine was solid. I would get the poutine again but skip on the curds Overall- come for the views, stay for the beer and maybe the food.

What can I say that hasn't already been said about Lakefront Brewery? The massive building and outdoor space might make you think, "There's no way it has the capacity to justify the space." You'd be wrong. It seems to be consistently filled with loyal patrons seeking great local beer and delicious brewery fare. I had the cheese curds and pretzel. The coating on the curds was light, but crispy. They are generous with the term "curds," as most of the pieces were as big as a standard mozz stick. While the curds are first to draw your attention, the ranch will leave you insatiable. It was the best ranch I've ever had. The pretzel was good, but was overshadowed by the curds. The beer cheese tasted good, but the silky texture was reminiscent of hummus--as opposed to a cheese sauce. Overall, very cool place and great location. We sat in the outdoor patio because I had my dog with me.

This is a cool Historic spot on the Milwaukee River. Nice back outside patio although a bit small. Chill German beer hall vibes. Friendly service at the bar where you order & then find a table. Great selection of suds. Didn't eat but they had a food menu. We were told that you can take a 50 minute brewery tour in which you are given drink tokens... May be a good thing to do if you have the extra time. Would return

Decent vibes - would be cool on an event night. Great Monday special with $1 refills after purchasing a $5 beer glass. Food was okay, not bad but nothing to write home about.

On that Friday, we drove up from Chicago, checked into hotel, & went to the Brewers game. The next day I was trying to find out Millers brew tours (even though I don't like their beer, but it's an iconic large American brand), but they didn't do the tours anymore. I think they may have stopped them when Covid happened, never brought them back or at least at that point. I was searching online & calling around as I thought it'd be cool to do some brewing tour, and places said no. Finally, Indeed Brewing said come on down, we will give you a tour. Speaking of I is for Indeed, I was at I for an Industrial museum, well various art about people at work called Grohmann Museum, and I had dropped my friend off at the Science Museum. I called him and said I found a brew tour. We both enthusiastically went over to Indeed. The owner gave us a tour of the various. He told us to wait as he was busy, pretty busy on that Saturday afternoon, go get yourself a beer. Wow, great beer! The tour was informative. My friend got a 2nd beer. I'm a bit slower of a drinker. After his 2nd beer, he was buzzed and said I know it's going to sound crazy and that I would probably say no, but wanna go to the Brewers game again? I'd say the baseball game again was the beer talking, but he loves baseball, so I'm sure he would've said that anyway. I said Brewers were my favorite between going to White Sox on Wednesday, Cubs on Thursday, & Brewers on Friday, but I don't wanna go to baseball game for the 4th night in a row, and there was more I wanted to explore in Milwaukee. We were going to be leaving the next morning to take a side trip to Madison and then leave from O'Hare later in the afternoon. Incidentally, while I enjoyed Milwaukee on my own that night, I missed a great game as Brewers pitcher Adrian Houser threw a complete game-shutout! No way of knowing. And the night before Cardinals slaughtered Brewers 15-4. So, I went to the wrong game, but I had a lot of fun. In summary, Indeed Brewing was a great memory of the tour, great beer, nice owner, & nice crew. If I'm ever in Milwaukee again, I'd revisit Indeed.
