Representing 2021 in alphabet series, I is for Indeed Brewing. In September 2021, my friend & I were on vacation in Chicago & Milwaukee. On that Friday, we drove up from Chicago, checked into hotel, & went to the Brewers game. The next day I was trying to find out Millers brew tours (even though I don't like their beer, but it's an iconic large American brand), but they didn't do the tours anymore. I think they may have stopped them when Covid happened, never brought them back or at least at that point. I was searching online & calling around as I thought it'd be cool to do some brewing tour, and places said no. Finally, Indeed Brewing said come on down, we will give you a tour. Speaking of I is for Indeed, I was at I for an Industrial museum, well various art about people at work called Grohmann Museum, and I had dropped my friend off at the Science Museum. I called him and said I found a brew tour. We both enthusiastically went over to Indeed. The owner gave us a tour of the various. He told us to wait as he was busy, pretty busy on that Saturday afternoon, go get yourself a beer. Wow, great beer! The tour was informative. My friend got a 2nd beer. I'm a bit slower of a drinker. After his 2nd beer, he was buzzed and said I know it's going to sound crazy and that I would probably say no, but wanna go to the Brewers game again? I'd say the baseball game again was the beer talking, but he loves baseball, so I'm sure he would've said that anyway. I said Brewers were my favorite between going to White Sox on Wednesday, Cubs on Thursday, & Brewers on Friday, but I don't wanna go to baseball game for the 4th night in a row, and there was more I wanted to explore in Milwaukee. We were going to be leaving the next morning to take a side trip to Madison and then leave from O'Hare later in the afternoon. Incidentally, while I enjoyed Milwaukee on my own that night, I missed a great game as Brewers pitcher Adrian Houser threw a complete game-shutout! No way of knowing. And the night before Cardinals slaughtered Brewers 15-4. So, I went to the wrong game, but I had a lot of fun. In summary, Indeed Brewing was a great memory of the tour, great beer, nice owner, & nice crew. If I'm ever in Milwaukee again, I'd revisit Indeed. read more

Beautiful views of the Hoan Bridge and perfect sun & vibes on a gorgeous day. Try different types of indeed beers and drinks from the taproom from the server and life is good. Friendly, informative, helpful staff to help guide you to your perfect brew for the day! I always enjoy trying out the seasonal/limited brews, and I wasn't disappointed with the limited edition sour beer with gooseberries and pineapple. For me, it was a perfect combination with the sour hit of gooseberries in the beginning of the sip and finishing with the sweetness of the pineapple . I loved it. I absolutely love this place! The decor makes you feel like you're having a drink in someone's home - so cute! As I'm not a beer drinker I can't give opinion on their beer, however my partner loves their variety of ales and the different and unique flavor options. She really enjoyed the Coconut Macaroon cream ale! For me, I tried the strawberry margarita seltzer which is their only alcoholic seltzer option - I wish they had more! However they supply a grand variety of THC seltzer flavors which is unique to other brewery's in the area! The bartenders are always super swift, and check out is easy with the service area of the bar. Dogs are also welcome! read more

Great place to hang with friends and have a few brewskies and some vegetarian snacks. I love their creative Beatles-esque psychedelic themed designs and branding, they permeate from their main beverage products to merch and the bar decor. I love that they are connected to the local Milwaukee communicating supporting other local business and nonprofits. Food wise their pretzels and loaded meatball tots are great for snacking and feels like a meal when eat them by yourself, so make sure to share ! You order at the bar and the line usually goes pretty quickly so not to worry about waiting too long. Love the pistachio beer and lavender honey ! read more

Indeed is definitely one of my favorite breweries, specifically for their cream ales! The pistachio one is year-round, but they have others like the coconut macaroon cream ale that is surprisingly delicious, especially for someone who doesn't like coconut particularly much. Beyond cream ales though, they have plenty of other choices, including THC seltzers if that's your thing. They've got a shuffleboard table to use, and plenty of board games to make use of. They often host Oktoberfest celebrations and Makers Markets which make it a natural stop in the Walkers Point/5th Ward neighborhood. If you're ever up in Minneapolis, they have a location there as well. Plenty of merch if you're a superfan. They have a little outdoor patio out back and a rooftop to sit on across the street even. read more

Really fun brewery found in Walkers point. Typically where I go and wait when fixture has a wait time (shout out to the hostess at fixture for recommending this place to come and have a beer or two before our table is ready). They have a great variety of beers on tap, as well as six packs you can take to go. The games are readily available for you to play and the space is very large and welcoming for smaller or larger parties. Even when it's peak rush-hour, the bartenders are always really nice and able to walk you through some of their own favorite beers as well as any other questions you might have regarding the beers on the menu. read more

(I won a fun sailing club sweatshirt by donating to Children's hospital, for example). The beers are of a good variety, and the seasonal are always fun to try. Excellent brewing company! They have some great selection of beers and some snacks available too. The pizzas are frozen so you can even grab some to go. They offered beer brulee the night I was there and it was delicious with the pistachio cream ale. They have a cool retro vibe by playing music by way of a record player. They put on some Talking Heads while I was waiting at the bar. They also have a cooler with water so you can grab your own. The bartenders were nice and the space was big and airy. I visited here for an art fair recently with a friend. After we wandered the large space and did some shopping we sat down for a beverage and a bite. Kudos to them for having pizzas with veggie sausage - sadly they were sold out. Kudos to them for having a vegan margarita pizza. It was fine. Service was friendly and helpful. I joined some friends for happy hour last night and thought Indeed was a pretty cool place! Admittedly I'm not much of a beer drinker, but the ambiance was great - it was a really large space with lots of cool wood features. Trivia was going on which sounds fun and I loved the jumbo pretzel! The Dijon garlic dipping sauce was delicious and I think the pretzel for $4 was such a steel! Indeed taproom is, truly, a hidden gem in Walker's point. I happened upon this place in November of 2019 and have been a semi-regular customer since. So, this review has been a long time coming! After walking past the small, 1000 bbl brewery space. You are invited into the taproom - no, the tap LOUNGE - with rich blue walls, quiet chatter, fantastic analog record music, custom art prints by Chuck U, live plants, and fabulous beer poured carefully into thin-walled glasses. The ambiance is second only to the beer. The beer features a wide variety of styles ranging from classic flavors like the Pils, Loretta's dark lager, or the Moon Dance dry stout to the original and eclectic like the Pistachio cream ale, Strawberry Fields fruited sour, or the Sailor's Delight blood orange with sea salt lager. The staff are kind and enthusiastic about the beer and your experience, the beer hall is clean and well taken care of, and the seating is comfortable. I was first introduced to Indeed Brewing in Minneapolis, and I'm super happy they came to Milwaukee. If you're lucky you'll find good street parking. It's very spacious inside, with a long wooden bar, lots of table seating and a little private back room area too. While I love their beers, I wouldn't recommend coming here for food, because they really only have frozen pizzas and other odd & ends snacks. My favorite beers here right now are the cream ales. There's a pistachio cream ale, and a coconut macaroon ale - both rich yet light, it too sweet, and to die for. The Paloma sour fruited is another good speciality one of theirs. Service has always been fine, you may have to wait a little bit to get served, but it's never been too crowded or taken unreasonably long. read more

Big fan of Indeed Brewing Company's craft beers, going all the way back to when they joined other Minneapolis-area brewers at an event at Sugar Maple, prior to setting up stakes in Milwaukee. Favorite brews are Pistachio Cream Ale, LSD (Lavender Sunflower-Honey Dates) Ale, Grapefruit Paloma, and the list goes on... Was here recently for one of their Community Partner donation nights, with WMSE DJ's spinning, and all sales going to WMSE. What a great way to partner with community organizations. I was here for the first time recently had some good tasting beer. One of my cousins told me about this place and we went to check it out. I liked the taproom and the atmosphere of the place. It was lively, friendly and inviting. The beer menu had a good variety. I ordered their Cream Tangerine Milkshake IPA and Star Crossed (Mexican Chocolate Churro Stout). Both were good. I liked the Tangerine one the most. It smooth, creamy and tangy with a little after taste. The Star Crossed was smooth with a chocolate(y) taste but the after taste was a bit too bitter for my liking. We were pressed for time as well as full from our meal earlier, so we didn't try more varieties. We were also looking to try their Pistachio Cream Ale but they didn't have it on tap (only available in six-pack to go and couldn't be consumed at the brewery). So my cousin gave me a couple of cans from her stash to try and it was very good. I would recommend getting the Pistachio Cream Ale for sure. Very cute spot!! The inside was gorgeous. They have so many types of beer to try. My boyfriend had a sour that he really enjoyed. I had an ipa which was good. I had a taste of the pistachio cream ale and it was different. My boyfriend said he couldn't really taste it. Beer is available in various sizes which is always good if you want to sample. We purchased a hoodie on our visit too because who doesn't love some brewery swag. We didn't purchase any to go beer but prices were very reasonable for 4 pack cans. I'm in love with this place. First time there and let me tell you this brewery has a vibe!!!! The inside is very big so plenty room for a crowd to hang out. Many ppl bring their on board games which I thought it was fun! A few cool kids hanging out while their parents enjoyed a beer which is always nice to see The staff seemed to be having a great time. They were very helpful and friendly. The music was great too They also had a fire going outside and you can have them Brûlée your beer. Yes, that's right! Your beer brûlée! This is something they only do when it's really cold outside. I also appreciate that they have reusable towels in the bathroom instead of paper towels. I've never been to the original Minneapolis location of this brewery, but perhaps on a bucket list. I remember trying their beer at a Milwaukee Beer Society meeting and being impressed and excited that they planned to open a taproom in Milwaukee. I really like how they designed the taproom area. It's vaguely old school fancy smoking lounge. I think that's a close enough description. Lots of wood and leather seating and antique looking lighting. Besides the look, the beer is quite good. I'm a fan of the double IPA, but I'm going for the Kveik pale ale since it's lighter. They also have a small merch area with artistic stickers, hats, and beautiful stemware. Recommend a visit! It's also very close to a few other breweries if you want to walk around a bit. read more

A brewery now associated with two of the cities close to my heart...and offering delicious, creative crafts? Winning! Indeed opened this weekend at Its Walker's Point location right next to Movida. The place can be noisy but it's not like you cannot have a conversation with friends and not hear them. The beer offer consists of a page of brews from Milwaukee and a second page of the ones from Minneapolis. I went with the local Warmdoodle, a watermelon infused beer that was different, tasty, and nice for a post Movida tapas during our evening crawl yesterday. Cool decor and good location. Parking can be sparse on a weekend so beware. Although it is a Minneapolis brewery and I try to be Milwaukee beer focused, I do really enjoy their Mexican Honey and Pistachio Cream Ale. I'm open to competition and variety. Where Mobcraft has that "craft brewery feel" and Broken Bat has an industry feel, Indeed sets itself apart by appearing like an old early 20th century bar. This includes overstuffed leather chairs at the tables. They've set up camp nicely next to Clock Shadow Creamery. They don't offer food as much as they offer a nice variety of bar snacks. Craving Funyuns with your beer? This place has you covered. A good selection of beers including a solid strawberry sour. This was part of the Maker's Market so it was a little loud due to all the people perusing crafts. And the bathrooms are really nice. They're gender neutral and had actual towels for drying your hands. Very nice! read more

Ok so I am highly disappointed in myself on how late it took me to right a review of heaven on earth. If you can't tell I may be Indeed brewing's number 1 fan for so many reasons. If you haven't been let me explain why this is the place to go. First of all, when you walk in, you'll be in disarray from the amazing aesthetic. The space is open with plenty of tables for all size groups. Honestly the whole atmosphere of Indeed is a mood and here is why: * Ceilings? High * Bathrooms? Plenty * Natural light? Impeccable * Games? Board games and table shuffleboard * Nice Bartenders? Honestly, they practically feel like family * Food? Great snacks Now if this hasn't convinced you to go to Indeed yet then let's get into the best part of Indeed.... The beer! Oh boy I get so pumped talking about the beer here! Milwaukee has a lot of breweries, but none have had me coming back as much as Indeed does. The pistachio cream ale they have is a go to beer you can get any season that you know will never disappoint. If you are an IPA lover, they have plenty and they all have unique tastes. For those who like sweeter beers or some more unique drinks, they have hard kombucha and seltzers. In all seriousness they have a good selection of beers so you really can't go wrong here. Ok I know it sounds like someone paid me to write this review. Well, no one did, but if they did, I would use the money to get drinks here with my friends. But honestly, I hype up Indeed so much because of all the great memories I've had here. I may be biased, but Indeed to me is like the go to bar you see in sitcom shows like "How I Met Your Mother" or "Friends." For that reason, I truly hope you check out Indeed Brewing and I really doubt you'll be disappointed! read more

This place has a small but cool outdoor seating area and a large indoor space with a mix of a modern and old world rustic tavern feel to it. The entrance has a hallway where you walk right past the brewing area with a neat old world rug. The taps and menu are a little cramped right in front of the place to order but works good enough. They have lots of choices and interesting small batch options. I love their sours and small batches the most! They had a beer brewed with grapes so like a beer wine so I got it for New Years as they suggested it's good for. I was hungry and was delighted to find an interesting sounding vegan pizza on their menu. I didn't plan on eating the whole pizza at once but it was delicious and I couldn't stop. No vegan cheese but the Thai peanut sauce more than makes up for it and therefore is more healthy. The vegetables were roasted and perfect. The beer I got was a pistachio cream ale. Simple but creamy, delicious and unique with the pistachio flavor. I also got a key lime pie sour to go. Haven't tried it yet but I trust that it will be very tasty. Really neat new brewery in Walker's Point. The design and, I suppose, re-design, of the building is awesome. What a great use of space. All of the beers we tried were awesome and thee people working there were very very friendly. Only complaint is there isn't board games. This place is massive and would be perfect for board games! We even wandered into the back room hoping to find some, but no luck. I think games are always an awesome idea at breweries like this that don't serve food, as it will keep people around much longer. read more

In our 3-day visit we hit 10 different breweries and while there were several others I liked their ambiance and buildings better (I love old, big spaces that probably used to be warehouses and have lots of brick, large wood beams, etc) this place had a beer I loved! I would not have thought that a pistachio-flavored cream ale would be that good but I gave it a try and it was my favorite beer of the probably 20 that I tried while on this trip! Probably not for everyone because my friend tried a sip and didn't like it, but to each his own. So for this pistachio beer alone I give this a good rating. We didn't order any food here so I can't comment on that. You order your beer at the bar (it doesn't appear they come to your table) and I thought the two ladies I dealt with at the bar were super friendly and did a great job taking the time to give a few samples and answer questions before we ordered. I am very impressed with this brewery! Indeed does not look like much from the outside, but after a small walk down a hallway, it opens up into a large and spacious taproom. Really cool place. Good beers, nice staff and ima. Great location (specifically love to stop at fixture pizza then run down to indeed for some beers). I do wish there was a little more in the ways of snack/food options. Rumor has it you can catch a game here which is super cool for a brewery. I haven't stopped in to watch any yet but their beers do always make me want to come back to quench my thirst. Recommend going getting some flights and enjoying company. read more
