Truly an exceptional establishment. Taco Jalisco has quickly become a local favorite of mine, and I have happily shared this spot with my family and friends. Firstly, the service is amazing. All the staff are so friendly and polite. You are free to sit wherever you would like upon arriving, and a waiter follows you shortly to your table to drop off chips and salsa and inquire about drinks. Soon after that, you are asked what you would like for your main course, a question which I have never had to wait more than 10-15 minutes to be fulfilled. They are so so efficient here with zero sacrifice to the quality of their dishes. The guacamole is so creamy and delicious, and the steak and chicken tacos are personal favorites of mine. Everything is seasoned excellently. The inside is homey and quaint, and has cozy seating which is never too crowded. It is a comfortable space. We were having a busy day and needed some eats on the fly as we were running around. A quick check of the Yelp app and we saw that Taco Jalisco was nearby so we decided to give it a whirl. It's a small, strip mall spot but there was enough seating for us to grab a table. The inside was clean and has small diner vibes. They immediately brought us chips and salsa--the chips came warm and were delicious. The salsa was aok but not terribly flavorful. For my main, I got the chili relleno entree, which came with rice and beans. It was an overall solid dish. The service throughout our visit was lovely. read more

I called this place to have a catering order done. I told them what I needed and was quoted a price. One hour before my event they called me and told me it was going to be double the amount that I was quoted. I asked to speak to the owner and asked if he would work with me and meet me in the middle, he would not have any part of that conversation. As a business owner, if can ADMIT that your employee screwed up, you need to be able to fix that. Terrible ownership, will never go back. read more

Ordered To-Go from here and pleased by the Quesabirria taco! The taco was very plentiful with meat. I ate 2 and was already getting full. Good flavoring and tasty even after the 15 min delivery (through different app not restaurant delay). Their salsa and guacamole was REALLY good. I did get charged for the side of guacamole and was a small portion... I would have like to see the consume (beef broth) come with it to dip the tacos in though. The rice was good but the beans were a bit too sweet for my liking. Still gets a 4 because I came for ya tacos, not the sides! Next time I'll check out the restaurant in person! read more

This new Mexican restaurant opened in the space of one of our favorite tacos places in Waukesha which closed a few months ago. We were sad but then we had their FISH TACOS! Our sadness faded with every bite their meaty fish tacos with their crisp baja salad and tangy chipotle mayo. It is hard to order something else on the menu but if you venture from the fish tacos you won't go wrong with their chimichanga. If you're up for something hot and spicy try their Diablo shrimp but beware I love spice and it was a bit of a battle. Every time we gone there their staff is ALWAYS ON THIER GAME! My favorite taco restaurant in Wisconsin. This will forever be my go-to place. I eat at Taco Jalisco at least once a week. Every item I've had here is delicious and their salsa is second to none! The employees here are very kind people. There is a slight language barrier but I know they have the absolute best intentions. They have even started to recognize me because I'm a regular customer. (POV: Mexican household) so we Ordered thru door dash paid $7 for "Mexican corn" that was so old we couldn't eat it...like most of it was harder then it prolly was b4 they took it out the freezer and microwaved it. Ugh very disappointing especially for $7! I also got the Steak tacos which were mediocre at best! And I did take into account that it had to get delivered and still there was no reason for the tortillas to be as hard/old as they were and the beans str8 out the can! Not very authentic...so needless to say we will NOT be eating at this "Mexican" restaurant ever again! Quesabirra on fire!!! It's a super small but quiet. Fast friendly service! I never eat the beans like ever. They are usually too bland and not good. Here at Taco Jalisco, I ate every drop. The beans were great. Consume was flavorful and a great compliment to the tacos. read more

Ordered thru Postmates (ie Uber, apparently) for delivery as a treat for lunch. Wrong tortillas with my order, everything was soggy and cold, took 1 bite of each and couldn't even swallow it. Thru the entire meal in the trash. Chips were good and the 2 tablespoons of salsa were also good. Zero options to rectify thru Postmates or get corrected. I'm guessing restaurants don't want to hire their own delivery drivers but get screwed on delivery services so those orders don't matter. Lord knows Waukesha has better options for Mexican food.
