    Taco al Pastor

Al pastor taco dinner combo is an all time way to reward a nice errand day. Service was friendly and speedy, portions were great. Importantly, Al pastor had some immaculate flavor!! The taco truck is well positioned in an accessible area as well.

The food truck and the restaurant are divine. I've ordered here many times. The food is always delicious. I love the tomatillo salsa and the avocado salsa so much. The service is always friendly. And it feels like you're in someone's home when you eat inside. 10/10

The only place I come to for my tacos. I usually just go to the truck but everything is delicious and fast. Love the people working there

La Sierrita was a pleasant restaurant. People were nice, and the food was good. We had a Tostada, a Gordita, Flautas, and Chilaquiles with rice and beans. The verde sauce was my favorite, and it enhanced all the dishes. While I enjoyed La Sierrita, I thought the food at El Tlaxcalteca, El Tapatico, and Tavo's Signature was better.

Solid. Taqueria la Sierrita was on my bookmarks list for a while and we decided to give them a try. The inside is bright, basic and clean. There is a bar but it's really just beer, tequila and a few random other things. You can get margaritas of course - they're $4 but you get what you pay for. Food wise, they have all the staples. The mister went with a Milanesa dinner that he really liked (it looked amazing and was huge). I had the tacos dinner which was solid. My tacos were well filled but the meat (and the beans) really needed some seasoning. You'll get 3 housemade salasa - all very good (and mild/medium heat) but the creamy green was my favorite. Service - fast and friendly. Lots of families here too - appears to be a neighborhood favorite for good reason.

This is my go-to taco truck/restaurant. It has the juiciest most flavorful steak tacos i've ever had! My entire family swears ny this truck! i will say we eat at the truck more than the restaurant but both are amazing! Definitely worth the stop!

The very best gordita that I've ever had.

The food at Taqueria La Sierrita is really good! Everything is really good! Even the salsas! The gordita was by far the very best that I've ever had. Period. Hands down. The gordita was fresh, flavorful and had just the right amount of crispy texture where it should. The prices are very affordable here and food was ready quickly. There is a bar with a TV playing music videos, aqua frescas and friendly service. I can't wait to go back and try more delicious things! It's my new gem! I'm definitely getting another gordita!

Combo plate steak taco, cheese enchilada and Al pastor tostada with all the trimmings.

WOW what a great lunch today and I just came across this place recently so it might be somewhat new with only two reviews. I'm so brainwashed with calling in for take out that I did that out of reflex and instantly ran in side to tell them that I want to dine in, actually sit down and be waited on and enjoy a meal on a plate again. The menu is surprisingly reasonable with all the regulars but I saw the #1 under the combination section and he'll yah. 1tostada, 1 cheese enchilada and one taco that comes with beans/rice and a salad. I had asada for my taco and al pastor for the tostada, the enchilada is cheese only. I was started with a foam cup of ice water and chips and salsa that came with three bottles of sauce, the creamy green was my favorite. The chips were fresh and crispy that came with a great chunky salsa that had some heat but in a small bowl and only enough for about 6 chips. WOW the plate came fast and it was beautiful looking with all the colors and a large plate of food. The beans were thick and seasoned nicely topped with shredded cheese. The rice was cooked perfect that was hiding under my tostada. The steak taco was my item to eat first and it was very good with seasoned moist steak topped with cilantro/onion on corn tortillas. The cheese enchilada was next and it had a generous amount of cheese in it and topped with cheese and very good. I tasted the steak and al pastor meats by them self and they were seasoned nicely and moist/tasty. I didn't get to the giant tostada because I was full from everything else. This totally satisfied my Mexican food crave and everything was delicious and seasoned with good flavors. This was the best Mexican plate that I have had in awhile now I thought. How could this place be so good and have only two reviews and no pictures of the food.

The fresh clean presence of this taqueria transforms this entire former corner's dens of iniquity into a community-enhancing bright spot. Amazing. I can't believe the transformation oF this property. The former tavern on this spot was a dark dirty place where any kind of trouble you might seek was readily available. Also closed is another shady bar across the street and two strip clubs a few doors south. While the area is still plagued with drugs and crime, I'm guessing by the presence of 3 large families dining in the restaurant that safety is no longer the huge issue it once was. So suburbanites, here's a chance to practice your parallel parking skills (or automated feature on your shiny SUV) and have an authentic south side Mexican food experience. Did I mention the waitress spoke perfect English? I'm here on a Sunday morning and it's packed out with lots of families. Chips arrived hot and fresh with 3 squeeze bOttles of sauce and a small dish of atomic looking salsa. The green crema is astounding with a tiny bite and fresh citrusy back. The smoky red sauce also rocked, and the green sauce appropriately spicy and fresh tasting. The salsa was deeply flavored and despite appearances, tummy friendly. My eggs with carne rocked. Rice was deeply flavored and fresh. Beans were gloriously smooth and rich. Fresh corn tortillas (can't tell if home made or not but taste great) and tender, slightly charred thin steak made for a great wrap for fresh over easy eggs. Dotted the plate with all sauces and added a little salt. Omg. Omg. Omg. Menu is big and filled with the real stuff. Bar is attractive and I'll come back to sample a margarita made with some of their top shelf. The owner and staff were totally on - servers everywhere, smiles, food came fast. Not sure if they accessed a priest or voodoo queen for exorcising this former property, but it's now a shining bright spot for the community. Gracias!!!!

AMAZING!! I recently discovered this place because a coworker took me and I am sad I didn't know about this place earlier! They allow inside seating and carry out! My coworker recommended that I order the three tacos dinner, which comes with three tacos with your choice of meat, rice, beans, and salad! We also got coca colas, which are the OG and made with sugar cane! When we completed our order, the waitress brought fresh chips and three salsas to the table! The green jalapeño one is the best in my opinion! When the food came out, I was shook! It was such a large portion! Also the chips were instantly replenished when low! I liked all three of my tacos, and the chorizo taco was slightly oily, but this is definitely less oily in comparison to other restaurants! I would recommend all three tacos! Never had suadero before (not 100% sure what it is) but it's great! Parking is available on the side street facing Aldi! Take some time out of your day and come here! Great food and serv

    Combination #1

The vibe and good were amazing!! We came from Nebraska to visit and the food was amazing. My daughter ordered tostadas and they were huge! I ordered the combination. 1 taco, 1 enchiladas and 1 tostada de ceviche! It was huge! It also came with rice and beans. We actually left another restaurant down the street to come here because of their service being so terrible. Our waitress was so amazing she was so nice she greeted us with a smile the place was so clean and so lively completely different from the place we had just left. The staff was working so well together!

I loved the variety of the menu, especially the vegetarian options, which are hard to come by in a lot of Mexican restaurants. In the past few years since I've moved back to Milwaukee, I've eaten at this location several times. It's about 6 blocks from my house and I still find veggie Mexican options to be rarer than I'd like. Generally the food is good, if no longer great. I wonder if their expansion and success has spread them thin over the years. Sometimes the service is good, sometimes it's like an afterthought. I've also ordered delivery from them many times and it's been generally fine, but not often great. Tonight I ordered delivery, paid extra for expedited service, and I really just wanted some good cheese and onion enchiladas. The delivery time was quick. Despite that, my food was cold. My black beans - literally cold. The cheese enchiladas - um, the cheese on top wasn't even melted. The rice had no flavor at all, like it could have literally been plain white, tepid rice. So I don't know what is going on at Cafe Corazon, but it's just not good anymore and that makes me really sad.

Get here early - parking sucks, and suburbanites will freak out at the hood, but no worries Jesus is right next door at St. Josaphats basilica and will watch over you. And don't forget to take a tour of one of this country's most beautiful cathedrals. Right there by Don Luchos. You can eat here. Lots of long communal tables so don't be shy. Prices aren't cheap but this is quality. I usually get a pound or so of carnitas. They measure it out, it's steaming, and ask if you want it chopped. I say yes. It's wrapped up tightly and it will feed you all weekend. This meat is freaking amazing!!!! I pray they haven't run out of homemade tortillas, but like I said, you gotta come EARLY. Sigh. There's about 6 different amazing salsas to try. Smoky, fresh, green, red, hot sweet - I get two for the weekend. I consider a quart of menudo. I think about. Lamb, goat, barbacoa, chorizo - but I have enough. Too hungry to wait to go home, I sit down to eat. Two tacos - huge! The best was the barbacoa - tasty little carmelized deeply flavored meat bits. Hey - don't go expecting American extras like sour cream or cheese. This is the real thing. Warming: one taco will do you. Got a side of rice and beans - yum. Don Lucho is a treasure.
