Came here for lunch after landing at the airport and wow, did not expect such solid Mexican food in Wisconsin. There weren't many other patrons so service was pretty quick and the staff were super accommodating and kind. Food was tasty and surprisingly authentic feeling! Guac was great and it was a rare instance where the ratio was guac favored - we ended up needing more chips! The lunch portion was more than enough and I left feeling pretty full. The horchata was delicious and super refreshing. I would recommend this spot for anyone craving Mexican in the area! read more

Yo food is gas , just landed, my white partner was like let's go here I'm like wtf no way, but my tacos were so nice the lengua was pretty juicy and the guac had that bright green vibe. Service was fast. Very casual joint. read more

This was the restaurant of the week and a long time bookmark. It's in a rundown looking strip mall and small with a nice bar and some tables. My service good because it was mostly empty on a Saturday during lunch time. They start you with chips and salsa. The chips were thin/crisp and about half the size of a normal chip so you could actually dip it in the salsa. The salsa was chunky with a slight heat finish and good. I ordered the strawberry mojito and the three taco dinner. The strawberry mojito was ok but weak for a cocktail. I had steak, chorizo and Al pastor as my meats that were slightly seasoned with cilantro and onion that were good. The beans had good flavor and were a 50/50 mix of whole beans and mashed beans. The rice was cooked perfectly and kind of bland but I always mix the rice and beans and top with salsa which makes them good. read more

Love the food here. Drinks are good. Prices are fair. Very chill, sparse ambiance. Service is adequate.

Kids size meals were huge. Pastor was straight . Girls working were so sweet. My toddler was absolutely in love with the waitress and she was so patient with him. Sope we're not too greasy. Horchata was also not too sweet. Prices were great too. Definitely top of the list read more

Let's talk tacos and a "Taco Thursday" special for $2 any taco. Who needs Taco Tuesday when you roll with 2 buck tacos on a Thursday. We did lunch and we were the only people there during the week. Finally another couple of people walked in. Why isn't this place busier? I know their food truck rocks it but this place should be packed. I ordered one chicken, one pork and one steak taco with the avocado super fixin's. I opted for no tortilla (trying to low carb) and the plating was incredible as well as the taco innards. I couldn't decide which meat I liked most. I like that they cut the pieces small and put a crisp on it for more texture. The salsas they had with the chips were a mild pico and a spicy green sauce. The chips were light and I had to try at least one. You know a place is the real deal when they serve tongue and tripe as meat options. I am torn whether I want everyone to know about this place but I also want to make sure it has enough business to be viable. Oh the hell with it let everyone know that this place has great food at reasonable prices! read more

I was driving into town and had to pick something up at Target, and I had a hankering for something that wouldn't take too long, wasn't too expensive, and was most importantly, tasty. Google maps lead me here, and unassuming looking restaurant where I ordered two tacos and some salsa. I feel like the way that restaurant serves their tacos says a lot about who they are catering to and what they value. What I learned today is that 7 Estrellas values quality, detail, and fresh food. The tortillas were warm, softe on the inside, with a crispy edge, and had wonderful structural integrity with every bite. The taco de cabeza was perfectly cooked and hot, and especially with the green salsa on top, I am salivating reliving this meal. The pastor was full of spices and I love the crispy little edges of pastored but it wasn't particularly spicy if that is what you look for. I enjoyed the green salsa and you should definitely get some of that with your meal. I am glad that I stopped here, and I think I found my top go to taco place in Bayview. read more

Amazing tacos! Great margaritas, definitely order the premium or super margaritas when you go, they are the best. Fast and wonderful service. Might not be a place you'd think of for your taco Tuesday but definitely one to consider next time! read more

This location was recommended to me by a patient of mine and it did not disappoint! What a great find! My significant other and I came in on a Tuesday, and they have a $2 taco Tuesday and Thursday deal! Their special tacos, which are filled with guacamole and protein of your choice are only $2 as well! I tried the horchata and it was tasty! Once seated, they always offer warm chips and salsa. I ordered two tacos and my boyfriend ordered a lengua burrito! The food was very filling and flavorful. Since this visit, I have been back with my friends and we enjoyed the food here as well! read more

My 2nd review. My first post pandemic return and it was like walking into a jewel box of holiday cheer. Beautiful music and ambience. Food is amazing - chips were warm, salsa delightfully fresh and flavorful. I got chillaquilles and asked for both red and green sauces. Beautifully plated and delicious. Perfect ambience for a date or family feast. Amazing service. read more

This is one of my favorite places. Yep. The food and the customer service here are both phenomenal. It's a small business so the owner comes to know customers by name and face. The owner Jorge is always a pleasure to see. There is counter seating and table and chair seating. There is often music playing and television behind the bar/counter that plays Spanish speaking sports or sitcoms. There is unique, local art work on the walls. During warm weather there may be a few tables for dining outside. I can't say enough good things about the food here. Everything is really fresh and flavorful. Many dishes are made homemade. This is the first and the only Mexican restaurant that I've ever been to that has fresh, homemade tortilla chips. Tonight, they were still a little warm even! Often, tortillas are homemade. This is my favorite guacamole in all of Milwaukee. Why? It's got flavor, acidity and freshness that is just unmatched by any other restaurant. The menu here is comprehensive yet not huge. I'm always a bit nervous about restaurants with a menu that's the size of a yellow pages. And there are a few house specialty dishes like albondigas and pambazos. They also have jamaica, hibiscus agua fresca, one of my favorites. The huevos rancheros here are really delicious and full of flavor. I keep coming back here again and again. You should too! read more

My husband loves the Asada Tortas at this restaurant, however my experience has been hit & miss. For instance, tonight I ordered tacos de pastor con Pina. I was served tacos with raw pineapple . It takes 2 minutes for pineapple to be grilled which adds a lovely flavor to the pastor meat, but raw is gross to say the least. The wait staff tend to be young girls without proper training what it takes to be a good waitress and are satisfied with the pre-calculated 15% tip on the check you have to ask for because they are so inexperienced in their position. read more

If you are looking for tasty and affordable Mexican food, this little gem in the Bay View area is the place to go. I tried the vegetarian fajitas (and if I recall correctly, the lunch portion was $7.50) and they were delicious. They come with beans and rice and the portion was definitely satisfying. My friends tried other entrees and the chile relleno (2) plate looked very tempting. They have reasonably priced beers, margaritas and other non-alcoholic beverages. Oh, and the chips! Fresh, crunchy chips and salsa! It looks like a family-run place and our server was nice and attentive. It's located in a small strip mall area across from Target. Give it a try - I think you'll like it. read more

I came across this place as I was making my way back to Chicago after the brewers game! They were actually getting ready to close! I had no idea because the open sign was still on and there were people inside who now I realized were workers heading home! I felt so bad that I kept saying I can leave, I can go but the hostess was not having it! He seated me and my boyfriend and served up delicious chips and dips and let us place a order! He told us not to rush and to enjoy ourselves! Of course I rushed because I felt bad that they were closing but stayed to service us! The food was good, we just ended up getting tacos so we can let these folks go home!! 4 stars for the customer service because not a lot of places would seat you and feed you at closing so thank you all who waited on us! read more

I can't believe there are so many good reviews for this restaurant. I wish I could give 0 stars! I ordered fajitas for delivery from here yesterday and what I received was some slop slathered in slimy sauce. The onions were in chunks with the layers connected together by the middle! The cut of the meat looked like someone ripped it apart by hand! Even the peppers were cut unevenly. Would they serve this in their sit down restaurant? I gave it the benefit of the doubt and thought it might not be pretty but it may still taste good. That was not the case! I expect so much more from a restaurant. It was inedible and I had to throw it all away! What a waste of $13.50! Never again! (I have attached a photo) read more

The taco special is awesome. Obviously taco Tuesday, but they do a Thursday special as well. An upfront deal of $2 tacos any way you want them. Not just Street tacos. Sorry they don't do crunchy corn, but the tortillas are fresh and flavorful. They have created a nice atmosphere inside, it is in a strip mall. They do serve the tasty treats on their food truck as well. Great service, they greet you with warm chips and a tasty salsa a little taste of Pico as another refreshing topping. If your day is done they have a margarita deal on Tuesdays and Thursdays. read more

I've passed by this place alot and always thought someday ill try it. That day was today. Its in a mini strip mall and some parking in lot. I always thought it looked a little sketchy and I was off put by how it looks outside. Well as the saying goes don't judge the book by its cover. Inside is a little small but sit down is available the wall decor is a little strange with a wall with odd for the restaurant pictures. We were given chips and salsa and the salsa was a chunky style with a real tomato flavor and unique and different to me and good. Its not spicy so if you want spice ask for hot sauce. They have a lunch combo to choose 2 items. I had a chicken flour soft super style taco which just means American style . There was a good amount of meat and it had sour cream and some avocado and a good size. Next a chorizo chimichanga which I saved for later because the taco and rice and beans was enough for me at the time. Usually the chimichanga is smaller for combos not this one it is a good regular size so great to see this. The lunch combos are $10.50 and included a can of soda. Thursdays they have $2 tacos and Mondays 2 for 1 margaritas. My only complaint was that the rice and beans could have been hotter in temp. All in all pretty good lunch. Ill go back again. read more

I'm happy to say that the food is excellent again! Delicious, and the spiciness was just right!

Fresh ingredients, clean space, and a great Marg. Don't be scared by the strip mall location- this place is great. We ordered red salsa, green salsa, and guacamole. All very affordable and so fresh. The chicken mole was delicious and I lovvveddd my margs. It's not often u seen them shaken-- it was very clear no sugary mix was involved in the making. Really nice people and definitely a diamond in the rough. Enjoy!!! read more

This place is incredibly good. We live very close and have been watching the construction happen for a few months and are so glad it's open. Even if it wasn't convenient to walk to I would make the trip. The staff is incredibly warm and friendly. You can tell they care about the food and your experience. The place is clean, updated, and has a really great vibe inside. Cool little bar with sports in and a nice open dining area. We ordered the horchata (very good), chicken mole (really great, deep, homemade flavor), street corn (awesome, really happy we ordered this) which came with fresh hot chips, three tacos (pork, steak, chicken - all meats were tremendous. Pork was on point - highly recommended. Steak - awesome, crispy, delicious. Chicken - flavorful and tender) the beans and rice were super good. And a cool touch for a starter was fresh fries instead of chips and salsa. Really great unexpected surprise. The salsas that came with the chips/corn were both tasty. Lots of depth. We will definitely be back. Loved this place and would say it's on par and better that the other joints in the area. Additional note - big menu with lots of super cool unique options. Lots of homemade good(including tortillas) They have a kids menu too if you have those ankle biters running around. read more

This restaurant is owned by the same people who run the food truck, in case you were wondering. They just opened last week, and I was excited to try there new location out. As far as service goes, I think they're trying to work out the kinks and all, so it was a bit on the slower side. The wait staff was very friendly and informative though. I ordered horchata, which was not too sweet, which I appreciated. Instead of serving chips and salsa, they serve fries and ketchup. It was amazing (and unexpected). We ordered al pastor tacos, a steak torta, and a dish which I forgot the name of...but it is very similar to elotes and also comes with tortilla chips. I was quite satisfied with the tacos - flavorful and definitely not dry at all. I would 10/10 order again. I only had a bite of the torta, but from that bite, I thought it was good. The restaurant is clean, the service is friendly (albeit a little slow - but for now I am attributing that to them just opening), and the food is TASTY. I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu! read more

Been meaning to stop here for food and was in the area this evening. Planned to meet two other friends for a late dinner. Arrived at 815pm and asked when they closed. I was told 830, however, the man working at the bar couldn't have been more accommodating. Had two chorizo tacos, one pastor and one beef. All were cooked perfectly and tasted incredible. Can't wait to stop back and try some of the other menu items. This place is a gem! read more

Normally, the food here is excellent...but whoever was cooking tonight (12/18) was too heavy-handed with the salt: both my wife's mole con pollo and my costillas verdes were saltier than usual. Even the rice and beans seemed a bit oversalted. Because the food has been so good, we'll come back--but please: less salt! If people prefer it saltier, everyone has salt at home they can add! read more

Love this place! Best enchiladas. I get the cheese & onion. You can get the raw or grilled onions. I hate raw onions--so always ask for grilled. Very tasty sauce and their salsas are absolutely wonderful. Love the green--spicier than the red, but not overboard. It remains spicy but keeps the flavor. The red is chunkier and delicious. They could bottle their salsas, and I would stay stocked up on them. Friendly, helpful service, very clean. It is one of our favorites. Just YUM. read more

How many times have you gone to a new restaurant and the food was OK, but you'd never go out of you way to go back? Well, I will go out of my way to eat here again! Small, but cute tucked away place across from Target. Good parking and a nice sign in the window of their A rating for cleanliness. What a nice surprise that the food was excellent. Plus the Salas were truly homemade. Not just something you added for a little heat. These salsas had complex flavors. I just had tacos, but will be back for different items. I live really close to this place, but hadn't tried it until now. I was impressed both with the friendly service and delicious food, especially given it is located in a pretty sad looking strip mall, next to a vape shop and a tattoo parlor. I ordered to-go, and the woman who answered the phone was pleasant and organized. The food was ready when they said it would be. I ordered pastor tacos and cheese enchiladas with red salsa, which were both delicious. The beans were good, but I've had better - that's my only criticism. The interior of the restaurant is simple but nice. I was really happy over all. We'll be back. read more

I'm not sure yet how I feel about this place. I've been going there for steak tacos quite a bit lately since it's around the corner from my house.. but the steak tacos are never consistent. The first time they were good.. then every time after that they were super fatty, looked and tasted like ground beef. Literally every bite I took I had to spit out because of the fat. Very disappointing when you're starving read more

This is my second experience with Las 7 Estrellas. We ordered takeout, my girlfriend picked the enchiladas Valle de bravo with red sauce 2 ground beef 2 cheese & onion, myself the bistec mexiquense. They told me 10-15 minutes for it to be ready to to pick up, I was there purposely in just about 15 minutes and headed straight home, a 5 minute drive. Transferring the enchiladas to a plate proved too much for them to take as they essentially disintegrated. They were cold, the cheese hard, in disintegrated form appeared like vomit. The rice was hard either as if not fully cooked or having sat out so long it began to re-harden. There's no way freshly made enchiladas should be cold and falling apart in no more than 25 minutes after calling the order in. My bistec was OK, warm at least, but the rice suffered the same hardness. Extremely disappointed, definitely not worth $25. Seeing the food as it came in advance I would not have paid anything and went elsewhere. Nothing worse than a meal wasted. read more
