I'm writing to express my deep disappointment and my complete disgust with the experience I had at your restaurant. I arrived when your posted hours online indicated you were open, and the doors were unlocked with people still inside. When I tried to get a table, I was told you were already closed. I said that was fine, and I was happy just to get carryout, but then I was informed the kitchen was also closed. This is entirely at odds with your posted business hours on Google, Yelp, and all other services where I checked your schedule. When I calmly attempted to explain this, your non-English-speaking security guard put his hands on me repeatedly--over six times--despite my efforts to de-escalate. This behavior is not only unprofessional but illegal. I have the incident on video, and I want to be clear: I may seek legal advice to press charges both against the employee and your business, as he was acting on the clock and under your employment on your property. To avoid me pursuing this course of action, I advise you to contact me or provide me your direct owners line. I hope you take this seriously and ensure this never happens again read more

The drinks are great from what I've heard from family and friends. The place was facing some sanitary issues a few years back but nothing new has popped up since then. It is undoubtedly one of the best places to get Mexican food in Milwaukee. I've been going here since I was a kid and it never disappoints. Service is always great! The staff is extremely welcoming, nice, understanding, and accommodating. I went during the dinner rush and my party was still seated immediately. I went around Día De Los Muertos and they had an ofrenda set up which was beautiful. I love and appreciate the thought and effort of decorating the restaurant and setting up the ofrenda. El Senorial is where you will find the BEST horchata in Milwaukee. I always recommend ordering the pitcher because once you try the horchata you're going to want a refill. The pitcher fills about 6 cups. Overall they have great food and are an awesome place to grab a bite for any occasion. Wholly guacamole. I went to Mexican food heaven and landed in El Senorial. I wish I had a bigger stomach so I could have eaten more. The interior is very traditional with the restaurant name carved into every chair. The service is great. Waitstaff is nice and fast. It the food? Oh, the food. Oooooh the fooood. I really don't know why this place gets such good reviews; I've been here twice and I don't ever want to go back. The food either has no flavor, whatsoever, or it is so slathered in cheese, that that is all you taste! The restaurant is on the darker side (low lighting, fake brick, dark wood, dark colored decor), which always seems a bit sketchy to me. It doesn't give off a romantic vibe, like an Italian restaurant, or a fancy steakhouse, it gives off "We've got something to hide, but we don't want you to know what that is....just shut up, eat your food, and get out" vibes. The main issue was the food, both in preparation and taste. When the enchiladas arrived at the table, the rice and beans were cold, and the enchiladas lukewarm. When I was just about halfway done with the second enchilada, it felt as though I was chewing on a bone or something. Then I felt like this zing in my tooth, so of course I had to spit it out. I ended up pulling a small piece of metal out. We brought it to the server's attention, and their reaction was as if it always happens. I would have thought the manager would come by, seeing as it should be concerning that there was a foreign object found in a dish they prepared. Just an apology and offer to remake the dish, but after I declined, they removed the dish from the bill. read more

Recently ate here with some colleagues for a holiday lunch. The strawberry margaritas were very tasty. We started out with steak nachos and the green chili queso fundido and both were fantastic. We had a parillada for 3 for dinner and it was superb. I always dig the chorizo out right away so it doesn't burn, then put the onions right on the platter and squeeze a bunch of limes on them. Then cover them up with the meat and about 5 minutes later you have the best onions ever. The food was great on this visit. Such a great find!! My best friends and I ended up here after a Milwaukee food article online raved about this place! Did not disappoint! We walked in (5 of us), without a reservation, around 6 pm on a Wednesday. I wanted to sit outside because their seating area is in the shade. Unfortunately, the bees would not leave me alone and I could not sit still! We moved inside and the waitress was super kind! We were immediately served chips and salsa. The salsa tasted fresh with large chunks of tomatoes. When we also ordered guacamole, which was served with fresh, warm tortilla chips. The guacamole was very very smooth, like butter smooth! There were no chunks or large pieces of avocado, but it packed a punch! When it was time to order, I chose the burrito con pollo, since this was served with rice, beans, a salad, sour cream, and guacamole (the WORKS!!). We also ordered a pitcher of horchata, and it was wonderful! It had a perfect cinnamon flavor, but not too sweet. Our waiting time on the food was longer than expected, I did not think the restaurant was that busy for our delay, but I still gave this place five stars for flavor and service! My burrito was super tasty! The food was served fresh and in large quantities. I was pleased with my meal as it lasted me the next day for lunch as well! I will be returning! It's been YEARS since my first visit here, which was also my last visit here. The food was good, but it was so long ago I don't remember much other than I knew I wanted to visit again. Last night, I didn't recognize the place. The dark, small place I visited has been expanded, remodeled, and brightened up. I requested a patio table and we didn't wait more than a couple of minutes before a server came out, which I was worried about because we were the only table on the patio. I haven't had horchata in a while so I ordered a small horchata ($2) and it was one of the best I've had in town. We both ordered Torta dinners ($10.50), one steak and one chorizo. The rice and beans passed my test, and the torta was filling and really good, maybe a bit too heavy on the bun for the bread to filling ratio. The only service issue we had was that we didn't know if they would come to collect payment after dropping off the bill, so we went in after waiting a bit to pay before we left. There are more items on the menu that I want to try, so I hope the next experience is at least as good as last night's visit. read more

Wow... what a treat to go to a place with great service during 12:00 lunch slam. Great food there was a group of nurses at one table on Milwaukee Police officer. A group of Pharmacist and a few Asians and a Cubana. Our group had shrimp soup, taco combo and Combo Parradilla. The Decor is not over done like some places, it was simple basic. clean. the music is from a Juke box. The TV by the bar was on a Spanish Soap operas on at noon. Big Thanks Stephen M for his Yelp. We were happy with the all of the food and they offered. One thing you didn't say was how big and filling the combo plate for one was. Holy Guacamole! I might have dinner for two more for later to night. I come here every weekend for the Pozole just because it's only available on the weekend. It's a perfect blend of spices where you can taste the flavor and how tender the meat is. I recommend coming here if you are looking for a warm soup on a cold day or something to cure a hangover. read more

Based on talk comments, had to stop to see if this is indeed the best in town. This would be a great place to come back with a group. I sat in awe as I watched other families with Parradilla. Salsa & Chips: Standard salsa was good. The waitress asked about hotness and ended up bringing a bowl of something that was indeed spicier. Chips were no better than El Rey. Food: I got the tostada dinner which included three tostadas, beans and rice. The steak was cooked well and had a nice heap of lettuce, tomato and cheese. The beans and rice had good flavor. Drinks: As others mention, Margaritas are nothing to write home about. Friendly service and my order came out quickly. I was in the mood for a burrito so thought I would try some place that I have not been to before. The inside was typical. Staff was friendly. Food was served fast. The burrito was was generous in size and was hefty when I picked it up. I had the steak burrito and added sour creme,cilantro and cheese and it was very tasty. I was full after 2/3 and had to put it down. I would like to sample more of the menu. Also I never had that gristle meat that some places put in the burrito. Over all it's one of the better burritos I have had in Milwaukee. I will be back but I will still try new places because you just don't know what's We did the work lunch here, no where close to work at all but we did it. Still very good, see my pix. Fresh and tasty with generous portions. Everyone loved it. You get sour creme, salsa, guacamole and hot sauce with it to build it your way. No fat or gristle in my steak burrito again. Been coming to this spot for years. Inside ofthe restaurant has recently been remodeled and an outdoor patio has been added. Open after the bar closes for those late-night eaters. Always seems a little understaffed here. Waitresses serve as bartenders which slows down the process considerably. Food here is always pretty solid. Burritos here are my personal favorite. Last time in we tried the parridillas which is a buffet type meal that gets brought to your table. Everytime I come here somebody in the dining room is ordering this. We tried it but we're extremely disappointed. Overcharged us a lot for stuff that looked to have been sitting around for awhile that wasn't very tasty.
