I spent the weekend here with my friends and overall had a really great experience. The property is in a fantastic location, and the space itself exceeded expectations. We stayed in a two-bedroom suite with a bay view, and it was huge, complete with a sofa bed, full kitchen, and very comfortable beds. The amenities were great as well, and we enjoyed some time by the pool during our stay. That said, there were a couple of things that took away from the experience. Upon check-in, we were informed of a $200 per day security deposit, which was not clearly disclosed during booking. On top of that, about $67 per day is automatically kept to cover amenities like the gym, pool, and Wi-Fi, which I personally feel should already be included in the rate. Another downside was the pool bar. The drinks were honestly not good, we tried one of the tropical frozen options and couldn't even finish it. Also, while not directly rude to us, the server seemed a bit disorganized and made a comment about another guest that came across as unprofessional. Overall, it's still a nice place for a fun weekend getaway, and I would recommend it, but just be aware of the additional fees and manage expectations around the pool service. read more

We were heading to Bayside Miami and decided to stay at the Elser Hotel. From the moment we walked in, it was beautiful. Very contemporary, clean, and the color scheme pulled everything together. It didn't feel like just another hotel. It felt elevated. I honestly felt like somebody walking through that lobby. Check-in was smooth, and the staff was welcoming from the start. They even showed us how to use the elevator and helped bring our bags up, which I appreciated. It's the small things. We actually booked our unit through Airbnb, which made it even better. The room felt like a full apartment. We had a complete kitchen, full-size fridge, balcony, and a beautiful tub. It had everything you'd need for a long-term stay, not just a quick weekend trip. The only downside was the view directly in front of us because there's construction happening across from the hotel. That part was a little disappointing. But when you looked down toward the beach and Bayside shopping area, the view was still really nice. The amenities sealed the deal for me. The gym has an amazing view overlooking Bayside, and the pool level is on the side of the building facing the ocean. You basically get a full panoramic view of Bayside and the water. It's gorgeous. Room service came quickly when we called, and everyone we interacted with, from housekeeping to the front desk, was kind and professional. Overall, this was an amazing experience. Booking through Airbnb felt like we got a better rate than going directly through the hotel, though I'm not sure if that's officially true. Either way, it worked out perfectly for us. I've enjoyed my stay. The rooms are interesting though I feel like the actual bedroom part of my room is pretty tiny, but then there's so much space for the bathroom and closet which is a little awkward, but I overall liked our suite. we have a full kitchen and balcony and everything and it's all been nice, especially the balcony. The lobby is really nice as well. It's a very bustling hotel so there are a good amount of people everywhere...it's definitely upscale and has a really nice gym as well. We went to the pool yesterday and that was really nice as well. The food I ate there was pretty decent though definitely could've been better but I wasn't mad at it. One of the ladies that worked the front desk though was a little cold like could have been much friendlier but it's all good. Maybe she had a bad day... Lol overall, I'm liking my stay. read more

I did a staycation (around the corner from my apt) and this place did not disappoint. The room are spacious. The tv turned to face either the living room or bedroom area with a mirror on the opposite side. It was clean and had a full kitchen, complete with cookware. They do have a mini ar for purchase with a wide variety of items. The view was amazing. The pool area had a restaurant and seating area to soak up sun. The jacuzzi area was nice and wasn't crowded. We didn't use the gym but it was very nice. We asked for a late checkout but were only given 30 mins. That was expected for the location. All rooms have a balcony. Checking in was seamless. Your key is programmed for your floor and common areas. There was a strange alarm that went off twice during our stay. read more

Coming off the cruise ship in Miami Florida. Just a short ride and about 11 mins. walked from the pier. My partner and I had 2 suitcase, 1 duffle bag and 2 carry on bags. So we ordered a ride instead of walking it. Was greeted by bell hop for my luggage and directed to check in at the front desk. Was sent a pre-check website but, it didn't work well. Got my room key and was showed how to use the secured elevator. Paid extra to get an early check in because we had to be off the cruise ship before 9:00 am. Right across the street is a market place to buy Miami logo items. Also places to eat and drink. The room was on the 20th floor with a nice view of the harbor and market place. Central AC with a full kitchen and washer/dryer in the room. Queen size bed with a balcony. Pros: Close to pier and market place. Huge TV and roomy studio. Secured elevator. Cons: AC is loud. There is only one ceiling light and a lighted vanity light. So the shower is dark. The throw rug needs to be secured down to the floor because it moves when walked on. Watch out for the shower. No bath mat. Reason why you need one? The the shower door has gaps around the door and the water comes out the sides and bottom of the shower door. Would I come back? Yes, the hotel is convenient, secured, and nicely equipped kitchen with a washer and dryer. read more

We had such a fabulous stay at the Elser. It was so modern, clean, chic and upscale. You cannot beat the view (or location) which gave us beautiful sunrises, sunsets and the view of the Heat's stadium. You could also see the cruise port which was fun to watch the ships pull in and out of the bay. The bed was comfortable, bathroom had all the amenities needed and we upgraded to the room with a full kitchen (that was fully equipped with pans/knifes/utensils etc) and came with a washer and dryer. 12/10 would recommend staying here for a wonderful time, relaxing, boujee time and you may even run into one of the Heat's players! read more

I stayed at this hotel for two nights as I was going to catch a Heat game which was less than 5 minute walk away and experience what Downtown area of Miami has to offer. I booked the Bay View Studio Suite. The view was nice, but the room itself felt fairly small. The TV wasn't working during my stay. I didn't report it since I didn't plan on using it much, but it's never ideal when something in the room isn't functioning properly. It was also surprisingly difficult to find a USB outlet; I eventually located one connected through the TV setup. One standout feature, though, was the in-unit washer and dryer--something I've never had in a hotel room before, and definitely a convenient perk. The lobby seems to always be crowded and it feels like a party regardless of what time of day it is. Overall, I wouldn't rule out staying here again because the location is hard to beat and I didn't have any major issues. That said, I think the price for the hotel is hard to justify. read more

Solid 4 stars. The location is great, right between Bayside and Miami Dade College's Wolfson Campus. Very convenient to the port if you are going on a cruise. The main reason we picked it is because we were traveling with our dog and the hotel is dog-friendly. The staff is friendly and helpful and the common areas are generally nice and well maintained. Overall the studio room we booked was spacious, clean, and well-appointed. The way the room is laid out is a great use of space, and the view from the balcony was awesome, if a little terrifying! FYI: There is an amphitheater across the street at Bayside and on the night we checked in, there was a concert that we could hear quite loudly in the room. It didn't run too late and we enjoyed going out on the balcony and listening to the music, but if that's something that would bother you, be sure to check the schedule. A couple of small negatives... When we checked in, the room was generally clean but I did notice a few small hairs on the ground and on the towels when I first walked into the bathroom. Additionally, the cabinets in the kitchen were quite dusty, which seemed pretty easily avoidable. Additionally, some of the glassware was a little dirty. I always wash or at least rinse dishes and glassware in a hotel before using it, but it is a little unpleasant when things are visibly unclean. Plates and bowls were put away wet, resulting in bowls sticking together and having old water inside (I cleaned them myself, obviously). The high-tech elevator system is cool, but some guests seemed confused by it. The elevators were a little inconsistent. Some seemed faster than others, and some even shook a little as they rose, which made me nervous. Usually we could get an elevator quickly, except when we left at check-out time and it took an eternity for the elevator to show up! We checked our car in with the $55/night (!!!) valet, and a short while later I got a notification on my phone that the car was unlocked. I didn't see the notification until a few hours later, when I checked my car's app and refreshed the status. It was still unlocked. I locked it since I'm not sure where they keep the cars, but regardless I think the car should be kept locked. I wish there was an option for self-parking, since there is apparently a garage in the building, but it didn't seem like there was one. After the first night, we parked in a nearby self-parking garage for $15/night, partly because I just didn't trust the valet at that point. And finally, a couple of suggestions for things that didn't bother us too much but could have been great improvements... We booked the place for the kitchen, and half the fridge shelves and all of the door shelves were occupied by purchasable items. They were spread out significantly, so maybe these could be limited to one shelf to make room for guests' items... There's a spacious balcony with beautiful views but no chairs to sit out on. The weather was beautiful and I would have loved to sit out on the balcony and read. Unfortunately since we were in a studio I didn't even have a dining chair I could drag out there to sit on. Missed opportunity! Overall though, we enjoyed our week-long stay here (as did our dog, for the most part). I would stay here again in the future for the comfortable room, friendly and helpful staff, convenient kitchen, and awesome views. read more

I've stayed in many hotels, but this was by far the worst experience I've ever had. When we arrived, the room was dirty, and the bathroom clearly hadn't been cleaned. We called for room service to request towels and to open the sofa bed, no one answered. Even the emergency line only picked up after a long wait. Later, I found out the hotel had charged me $800 instead of the $100 deposit mentioned during booking. When I went to the front desk, the manager Isabel claimed it's "$200 per night," yet there was no mention of this anywhere in the reservation or the hotel voucher. When we came back to the room later that day, it still hadn't been cleaned, nothing was done. When I asked why, I was told that housekeeping only comes every other day, which was never stated anywhere before check-in. For the price they charge, that's completely unacceptable. The worst part was the manager, Isabel. She was apathetic, rude, and dismissive, showing zero empathy or effort to make things right. I asked her for compensation, at least for the first night given how things started and she refused. When I asked to speak with someone above her, she said she was the main manager. And when I told her I would leave a bad review, she mocked me and said, "I'm waiting." That level of arrogance and unprofessionalism is shocking. We stayed here when were visiting Miami. My fiance with this last minute since we weren't sure about travel plans. Located near Bayside and walkable to bayside markerplace, its also perfectly located for easy access to the freeways and bridges to south beach. Half of the building is residential, and half of it is a hotel. Our room was on the 33rd floor with a beautiful view of the city and water. Our room included a kitchen with a full size fridge and dining space with a comfy couch. The layout invited a lot of light from outside which elevated experience. It's a very classy hotel and I would say very Central if you're trying to go to the beach or other parts of the city. You also could complementary service at Savoy Miami beach, which include the chair is towels for beach use and pool. The hotel has a two story gym and mid floor (10th floor) pool as well. Really cute spot to stay if your visiting Miami. Only issues I had the cleaning service did not come until our 4th night, they tried to come sooner at 530p but I was in the room and they said they couldn't come back because their shift would be over at 6:00. We requested for them to come sooner but they did not come at that time. So that was only logistical thing that was kind of annoying. read more

On check-in, I asked the bellman _twice_ if I could order food delivery to my room. He said yes. I said, "...and it will be delivered all the way up to my room?" Yes, he said. I waited 20 to 30 minutes after delivery to call the front desk to ask where my food was and guess what... The bellman was wrong. I had a concierge and two front desk. People tell me that their policy is that I have to come down to get it. I know that NOW, and repeating the policy 3 times while I eat my cold dinner added insult to the list. This was after deciding not to complain about the disgusting stains on the couch (see pic), the filthy rug and the dirty coffee maker. I'm sitting in the room as I type, and I read other reviews stating similar issues. One person noted that the bottoms of their feet were black from walking around barefoot in the room. I looked at my feet. Sure enough... 1 star for the good location, but this is definitely a "lipstick on a pig" property that's overpriced and comically wants another $8 for the bottle of water in the room and $30 for the $6 bottle of wine in the fridge. There were a lot of things that we were not satisfied with. Upon arrival we called to find out our parking options. We have an EV so we're curious if it was easier to Valet or Self Park. The woman that answered the phone didn't know if we could charge or not, and was unfamiliar with the prices of self park vs. Valet. We pulled up to Valet and they said we could charge but it was $3 per hour and we were responsible for moving the vehicle. We opted to not charge our vehicle due to the inconvenience. The line for check in was long and I asked the concierge if I could access my mobile key since I have done self checkin on the app. They didn't know and we had to wait till they found out the answer. Someone did finally come out and explained we could use the app, showed us our mobile key, and we were able to bypass the line. The room was fine. Clean and nice enough. One of the rooms has two doors, the one into the room and the one into the bathroom. They didn't quite fit and kept hitting eachother which was an annoyance. Removing one door seems to make most sense. The valet was a nightmare. I added a card to the link they sent me, however they told us they were unable to process. When I asked if they could just charge the parking to the room they said it was two separate companies and that they'd have to find out. Just overall inconvenient. We decided to take advantage of the hotels partnership with the Stanton Marriott for beach access. No one at the Elser could tell us if the valet was comped at the Marriott, as it was advertised. Everyone at the Marriott was familiar with the partnership and we were given our beach chairs and umbrella. The valet cost was an additional $25, which should be added to the advertisement and website. It should also be noted that you are NOT permitted to use the pool at the Marriott. My kids were disappointed. But we went back to the Elser to use the pool. This was so disappointing. Not only was the pool NOT heated (as advertised) but it was filled with trash. My daughters even made up a "game", how many cups could they collect from the bottom of the pool. Just disgusting. Trash and debris all over the deck. The wind may have been to blame but then there should be a dedicated staff member to make sure trash is being collected. We ordered lunch from the pool restaurant and my 10 year old daughter asked for a virgin Miami Vice. She was served an alcoholic version and only after several sips said, "mommy this doesn't taste right." It was filled with rum! After that fiasco my husband went to complain to the concierge. He requested to speak with a manager. The manager came out but the other person at the desk left so a line started to form and he felt rushed in his conversation. The manager was taking notes but did not ask for our name or room number and therefore we were not offered any recourse. The only benefits we had were that the hotel is within walking distance from the arena. We will not be recommending or staying here again unless big changes are made. read more

Stayed at The Elser for two nights before our cruise. When we checked in we specifically requested a room that was not next to the elevators. When we arrived at our room it was next to an elevator!!! When we went back down to point this out the young lady was not pleasant and rather condescending.... She claimed now that they did not have any other rooms available which was a lie. Finally gave us a room in a different floor away from the elevators. Also the elevators were also used by the cleaning staff. A number of times we had to wait a few times because when the elevators arrived they would be full with carts of dirty laundry,etc. we literally could not get on. Disgusting!!! The pool and gym is amazing, the bartenders poolside were not very friendly or inviting. Signature cocktails were delicious and about $20 a pop and 21% service charge. Forget about room service, $25 avocado toast. There was no cream for the lobby coffee. I probably would not stay here again. read more

We stayed here before a wedding on a cruise ship. We picked it for the views and the close location to Bayside. I think there's too many negatives for me to stay here again or recommend it. We are staying in the ocean view three bedroom suite. Positives: The views are good. You can walk to Bayside, You're close to the ports. Most of the staff seemed friendly. They have a pool, it was extremely windy when we were up there. Idk if it's always like that. The rooms have blackout blinds. Easy to get Uber/ Uber eats/ door dash pretty quickly. Negatives: Especially for the price, it should be immaculately clean but my feet were black from walking in there. There were hand prints on the fridge, stains on the couch. We reserved the room for 8 people but we only got 6 towels to shower with. They also didn't provide any wash cloths. The room says it fits 8 people but there's only room at the table in the kitchen for four with a small couch that fits 3. All of the rooms have someone logged into the streaming services with no way to log them out. The bedrooms have very little room to walk to the other side of the bed and to the balcony. The valet parking takes over an hour to bring your car to you. There's no ramp to get into the hotel. So not wheelchair or stroller friendly. The air conditioning only blows into one room making one room cold and all the others hot. Most of the restaurants near us are just chain restaurants. We really prefer to go to locally owned ones. That was a bummer. There's not really any good breakfast options close enough to walk here. You can go to McDonald's or Bacon Bitch but that's not what we're into. They have a small restaurant in the hotel for lunch and dinner option. They don't come every day to take the garbage and give new towels. With this many people, our tiny kitchen garbage was full after 1 day. They fill the fridge with "market drinks" If you drink them, they add it to your hotel bill. Alcohol, water, juices. It's kinda in your way if you bring food/drinks with you or have leftovers to put in there. I'm sure it's convenient for some. Maybe less things would be better though. You can hear every siren, motorcycle, honk etc. while you sleep. No fans in the rooms. One room didn't have a tv while the other two did. There's no where walking distance to grab some basic necessities like water. It would be nice if they offered a tiny market inside the hotel for basic food/drinks. The room with the king bed had the worst of the three rooms. I feel like the king bed room should have the best with ocean view not city view. read more

Overall amazing place and stay. This place is modern and beautiful. The staff here are really nice, accommodating and welcoming. The check in was easy. The elevator system is great. The room was big and spacious. The balcony and view were really nice. There is a full kitchen and washer and dryer. There is a mirror behind the tv. I wish there was a full size mirror. The pool and bar area is breathtaking. There is a gym with open windows. They even offer yoga. There is a restaurant inside the hotel downstairs which is convenient. My only complaint is house keeping never came and it wouldve been nice to provide more than 2 sets of towels in the bathroom. Valet even opens your door if you take uber. I would definitely come back and stay. It's pretty close to a lot of places as well. read more

Our hotel room was NOT clean. The floor was dusty. Housekeeping did bad job or this just ok? I'm not sure if this is normal, but it was disappointing. Also - do NOT open the furnace or A/C room. You won't believe what we found there. Check out my photos. Honestly, it feels like this room hasn't been cleaned since the hotel was built. And seriously... a mini travel vibrator. That's not something you expect to find in the Mini Bar. Maybe focus on cleaning the stains on the table under all the "goodies" instead. The view from the room was incredible--we really loved that. The only other positive was the location, especially if you're attending an event downtown or at the arena. But the rooms are way too small for the price. We received none of these. We booked a one-bedroom suite for our family, including a 1YO and a toddler. When we arrived, the couch and sheets were filthy. The couch, in particular, was covered in stains, including what looked disturbingly like dried blood. I raised this issue multiple times before anyone responded. When someone finally came, I was handed a phone and asked to describe the problem to someone offsite. The staff member left without any explanation or follow-up, leaving us in limbo. I had to go downstairs myself to get any real assistance. Later, someone called to insist the stains were "just chocolate." Eventually, a lone cleaning staff arrived, scrubbed the couch with Clorox, and converted it into a bed. To be clear chocolate does not soak into fabric and turn a dark red color. Look at the at photos/video and judge for yourself on if this is acceptable for your own family. Our luggage took over an hour to arrive. We called several times for updates, only to find out--after another trip downstairs--that our bags hadn't even been retrieved. I had to describe our luggage over the phone before it finally showed up. We are not unreasonable guests. I understand it was a busy weekend. We arrived early after a cruise and politely asked for early check-in, knowing it's not guaranteed. They allowed waiting guests to use the pool, but even with careful planning, we ended up with overtired, crying kids. I had to check in at the front desk several times just to get an update, and each time I was met with dismissive, condescending responses. I understand we were only staying one night, but that shouldn't mean we're treated as an afterthought. I went as far as to ask if we could downgrade the room to come in earlier, and was offered a studio without refund on the difference in prices. We were eventually allowed to check in 1.5 hours early, but then came the luggage and cleanliness fiasco--all while trying to manage exhausted children who just wanted to get washed, changed, and take a nap. Not once did any staff member (other than cleaning) come to check on us in person. We received one generic phone call asking if everything was "fine," while we were still missing our luggage and the room was still dirty. We've visited Miami many times, and this was by far the worst hotel experience we've had. If you're traveling with your family, do yourself a favor and book somewhere else. read more

Management is not organized at all!! For example they may double charge you, they may not clean your room. I don't blame the staff. Staff is great!! The valet is not great but I also think that is a very tough job!! The hotel overall is very beautiful and is in a great location, but I wouldn't stay there again. Too much hassle! It took practically an act of Congress to get my money back after they double charged me. read more

I checked into the hotel on 13.07.24 until 18.07.24, The first 2 days they didn't clean our room, then we warned them and then they started cleaning, the worst thing is that they didn't return the deposit, in the beginning the receptionist said they would return the deposit but they never returned 375$, when we called them and asked about the deposit they sent us an incomprehensible check, the fridge was completely full of alcohol, we didn't drink at all and didn't take anything, in general it was the first thing I was cheated. read more

I got off my cruise at about 10:45am and my flight back home wasn't until 7pm, so I took a Lyft to Bayside, since there was nothing that caught my interest there I decided to book a day pass through day pass resorts.com. It asked for my area and Elser was at the top of the list. The Elser is right across the street from Bayside ( I walked over ) . The day pass was $30 and gave me access to the pool area and I think gym . The pool area is 2 stories and the hotel ambiance is absolutely beautiful. The front desk agent walked me over to the elevator when I arrived and went over how to use their fancy elevator. I was then on my way. You can also store your luggage at the hotel during your time there and you can come and go as you please they give you a key card just in case you need to leave and come back. Once I got off the elevator I was on the second level where the gym & heated pool is located.I then took the stairs down where there is a bar/restaurant along with lounge chairs, it has a large turf area with chairs and a huge tv above the pool. The other side of the same floor has a stage area for ppl that have parties etc , they had a DJ later in the day and that's where he was set up. Once I walked around and figured out where things were I got comfortable and grabbed me a lounge chair and sat at the pool soaking in some sun and watching TV. It was great weather that day with the perfect breeze. You can scan the QR code at the pool area for the food & drink menu. I was tempted to order a drink and food because the menu sounded great and a person next to me had food & a drink that looked spectacular, however since I had just got off a cruise I didn't even want to see another drink ( I was boozed out) & very very full. So I decided not to. I relaxed at the Elser til about 5:15pm and then I ordered a Lyft to the FLL Airport. The staff was very kind and helpful. The amenities & the hotel it's self was BEAUTIFUL. Very clean and the washer and dryer was a HUGE plus. Unfortunately we had an encounter w the bag guy at the front which was unpleasant. We only stayed one night but wanted to enjoy the pool, we forgot a couple thing in our luggage and had to go down two times & the guy made a comment to another coworker that my husband herd. Also the valet was not very smooth, granted we did come at the time of a concert that was close by. I would recommend staying here and will probably stay again. I really wanted to give it 5 stars but if those two instances threw me off since you spend a lot to stay here. read more

Very modern hotel with lots of amenities. The location is great and within walking distance of restaurants and bars. The beach is extremely close and the Frost museum is a 10 minute walk from the hotel. The rooms are spacious with a great view. The rooms have a full kitchen and a small living room area. Was so excited to stay at The Elser after reading all of the fabulous reviews online.. Did it live up to our expectations? In some areas, absolutely, and in others (very important others)... not so much. Pros: Amazing, amazing (did I say amazing) views! We stayed on the 32nd floor and I'll tell you.. the wraparound balcony and the views seemed like the perfect guest was staying with us....it was so dope and immediately lifted my energy--day and night. Wow, is all I can say. 5 stars in this area! Space was a very nice size. I definitely recommend the 2 bedroom suite... it was like staying in a very very nice sized luxury apartment. Nice open layout with so much living space.. Full kitchen... Cleanliness was up to standards with a few exceptions that I'll discuss below. Location... I'm not really familiar with Miami, but I do understand that we were in Bayside, which seems to have a lot of cool things to do, even though we spent most of our time in other parts of the city. Cons: Check in was sketchy... front desk seemed to overlook that my sister had already paid taxes and fees through her payment with Booking.com? If she hadn't been on top of that, she could've been double charged? Because there are NO food options on site--restaurant is closed... everyone orders Door Dash, etc and it gets delivered to the front area, which makes it reek of a medley of every type of cuisine... The only way to communicate with front desk is through text or calling the actual 800 number online... that is crazy to me. I want to call from my room and get someone immediately, not to have to wait for a response through text (and it took up to between 1 and 2 hours to get a reply!!).. for the amount of money that we spent, ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE. Especially, when you are a party of 5 and need towels and wash cloths daily! They only clean on the 4th day of your stay, so if you're staying less than that.. you have to pay a $75 fee! Oh and because there are no food options onsite... and you may have a full kitchen.. please come prepared as you will need the following: bottled water (if you don't want filter--and no they don't give unlimited water as they advertise), food, paper towels, seasoning, etc.) On our first night there, we were awaken to the constant sound of construction going on... not sure from where but banging, drilling, etc.. for hours. Absolutely love this place, very chick,fun and glamor all in one. Joe Lewis was on point on point , Absolutely love him , we found a new family member our new nephew Joe wel come to our family.
