    pool at the Sagamore
    Heather N.

came here to the Sagamore hotel on a resort pass. the pool was warm and delightful the music was age appropriate, they had easy beach access and clean facilities

I stayed at The Sagamore South Beach for seven nights during Miami Music Week, and it was one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. On our second night, the room flooded, leaving us without air conditioning for the morning. Maintenance came in and out throughout the morning, so no one slept. Despite this chaos, the hotel refused to move us to a comparable king-bed room with a pull-out couch--even though we'd booked one and it was clearly available at the time. When booking online we got a free "upgrade", but the room was nothing like the online photos--completely outdated, rust-covered, and barely furnished. Several staff members admitted the property is being torn down soon, which explains its rundown condition, but it doesn't excuse the false advertising or lack of basic standards. My husband is a builder and pointed out a lot of things that do not fit with a 4 start hotel. There is paint covering up rust, loose outlets, dirty shades, bad plumbing. After we complained, hotel staff completely stopped servicing our room to clean it or give towels. Pool access was also misleading. We were assured four people could use the pool and would be allowed wristbands for the event, but when we arrived, only two were allowed--even though we confirmed in advance. For the final three nights, we couldn't even unlock our door. The front desk just kept handing us new keys that didn't work, forcing at least one person to stay in the room to let the rest of us in. Also, people were let into our room without approval from us because they knew our names and room number. We weren't called to approve this. We asked for very reasonable compensation--like free breakfast, a partial refund, or a discount--but were denied every time. They offered a bottle of wine and to refund one night's resort fee, which they never followed through on. This place calls itself a 4-star resort, but it's far from it. Dirty, outdated, and poorly managed, it relies on misleading photos and empty promises to lure guests. I understand the hotel is old, but they shouldn't be false advertising for the rate they charge to stay here.

Booked a day pass through Resort Pass ! So i can't speak to the hotel itself. $100 for a daybed from 10 am - 6 pm. Located right on the famous Collins Avenue strip. The door man took our bags and secured them in a locked room. The pool area and beach club were virtually empty due to it being a Tuesday after the Memorial Day holiday. Unfortunately, the weather was hit or miss. Either it was pouring rain or complete full sun. They allowed us to use the private cabana during the downfall. The employees were very friendly, providing us Beach towels , setting up our umbrellas, asking us if we wanted drink or snacks. Excellent service and drinks and food prices were pretty reasonable for the South Beach area. Onion rings and the watermelon refresher drink were delicious. I definitely recommend booking this resort for a day pass. If waiting to kill time for a delayed flight or even if wanting a change of pace, if a local. Direct beach access and even bikes to tour the local area.

I love the small boutique feel of the Sagamore... Great location with a great contemporary art feel... this is my preferred hotel when I come to Miami...

Solid Miami Beach hotel. Beds are a little uncomfortable and the pool area gets a little cramped. Food is okay, and drinks are very good! Service overall is okay though they were not attentive when we had problems with our TV.

I visited the Sagamore hotel for a business trip and stayed Sunday and checked out on Wednesday. The hotel did allow late check out on Wednesday at noon. I enjoyed my stay and all of the attributes that make this hotel great. The location is fantastic, the beach access is great, there are balcony rooms with ocean views, the rooms are larger than most hotel rooms in South Beach, the balcony was bigger than most in South Beach, the price was a value, the rooms were clean, the hotel has a fun art vibe, free espresso in the rooms, nice pool, chairs and cabanas. There were a few things that could have made my stay better though. The cafe that serves coffee and pastries does not open until 7:30, there are no ice machines, the restaurant was not open. While not a five star hotel, I would highly recommend and would definitely stay again. I have visited South Beach many times in the past and would choose this hotel over others I have stayed in.

I have travelled all over the world, and NEVER have I encountered such rudeness, highway robbery and such a lack of help, responsibility or hospitality in any hotel in my 30 years of global travel. If I could give everyone some helpful and important advice, PLEASE AVOID booking at The Sagamore at all costs. I put in a few pieces of cotton laundry (items from Kmart - cotton undies, leggings, tshirts) and was literally aghast when I received a bill for WAIT FOR IT... $485 USD!!!!! I use hotel laundry facilities wherever I travel and never pay more than $80 for a similar order. When I went to see the manager, there was absolutely no empathy, understanding, ownership or apology, and he said the best he could do was charge $285 USD (ie. waive the $200 Express service fee that I had never asked for)!!!! That's a resulting nearly-$300 USD for a few cotton items including briefs, tshirts and socks - $12 per pair of underwear and $9 per pair of socks!!!!!! It seemed absolutely lost on him that this was absolutely unacceptable, and basic theft of hard-earned money/pure extortion and rather than being understanding and attentive, he came across as rude, annoyed, evasive and defiant. He insisted it wasn't his problem as it was an external laundry service - but the hotel logo and branding were all over the order paperwork! I felt absolutely disrespected and dismissed as a paying hotel guest and cannot express this strongly enough - STAY AWAY FROM THE SAGAMORE!!! Very much in general, the staff have a bad attitude, are curt, unhelpful, unfriendly and unaccommodating at every turn. Not one smile from any of them. I felt at times like I needed to almost apologise for being on their property or taking up their time with a query - not to mention dealing with a blocked toilet in my room, TV reception that kept cutting out and front desk staff scrolling on his phone mid conversation - in a 4-star hotel?! No apologies for any of these things either when reported at the end of my stay! Please take my word for it - you need to avoid this place at all costs if you want to experience an enjoyable stay for your money. I have never left an online review before but feel it's important to protect others from this miserable and obscenely disappointing (and expensive!) experience. To The Sagamore, you should be ashamed. Hope you learn from this feedback - customers are not fools to be taken advantage of. Guests deserve much, much more (service, decency and respect) for their money.

I think this is my new favorite hotel in South Beach! When we arrived, our doors were open by the bellhop, and our bags were put on carts. I checked in and my bags had already arrived to my room! Service is top-notch! The room was beautiful, large, with the balcony overlooking the pool and beach! I was celebrating my birthday and they sent a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine, so classy! The pool was heated which was nice during the cool February days. The pool bar wasn't very busy and they didn't take any food orders, even though we could see the kitchen staff cooking and smell the food. We were able to get drinks and they were so good, especially the one in the coconut! we did go to the beach and use the designated hotel chairs and umbrella and had a wonderful time. This place is artsy, Modern, upscale, and luxurious!! there's artwork everywhere, they even have a gallery near the coffee shop, bar, and pool table. Near the pool they have giant chess and all the seating you can think of including cute cabanas! I was so sad to leave here, but I definitely will be back!

I attended a yoga-wellness themed event in the outdoor event section of the hotel and really enjoyed it. The staff was nice & helpful, the event space was well lit, clean, organized. i would definitely recommend it & consider it for large groups. The Decor of the hotel is beautiful & modern!

Bought a day pass to enjoy the pools and luxury of this beautiful hotel. I was able to get a chair on the beach and order food and drinks. If you want to elevate your beach experiences i definitely recommend coming here!

We didn't stay at this hotel but we got a cabana for the day. The service was wonderful and the pool was heated. The drinks were great as well. We also had access to beach with chairs. It is a very cute outside area.

This review is based solely on The amenities as I booked a day pass. Check in was super easy. The pool is clean and very Miami Beach vibes. I arrived early on Monday morning and the art exhibit was being changed. Easy beach access and plenty of chairs and loungers. The fitness center had all things needed for a good workout.

    Kee W.

Horrible hotel!! The rooms are primitive and they let people from neighboring hotels book cabanas without holding it for their own hotel guests. We're next to the Ritz Carlton and they are setting up with "sagamore" cabanas but they're really Ritz Carlton guests. I knew I should have followed my mind with the reviews and booked elsewhere. This hotel is the absolute worst! Even when you have money to pay the $150 cabana fee, they will leave you without any resort. The walls between the rooms are horrible anyway d you hear absolutely everything including a dog that wouldn't stop barking. However, the issue with these cabanas are absolutely unforgivable. Someone at the front desk also issued a key to my room without asking for identification. So, now there's a safety issue with this hotel. With the crime statistics in Miami at the status quo, this is absolutely unacceptable!

    this is their beach cabana

My gf and I stopped through here on our way out before boarding our flights later in the afternoon. If you're toting your luggage and not a hotel guest, you will have to find another hotel to store your luggage while enjoying this most decadent brunch experience. Luckily we arrived early enough to our reservations to sort that out. Reservations are a must if you don't want to wait. The restaurant is gorgeous with various spaces designed differently but keeps to the exotic Asian theme. Dining in the atrium near the water feature in the middle with stage for the musicians is where we had our experience. Olga was our server. She brought us our special beverages not available at the bar: Bloody Mary's and endless bubbly in our glasses The offerings here are more than I can name, but there is something to satisfy every craving. The favorite for me is the caviar bar. It comes with all the proper fixings on a blini with Crème fraîche. Do you need a vodka shot to go with? Yes, that's also available also at the caviar station. Fresh raw oysters, clams or shrimp cocktail is available in abundance with everything else here. The ceviche was great. I passed on all the various noodles but had to have some lamb curry and basmati rice- delicious! I had some Peking Duck and leg of lamb at the meat station. The filet mignon and lamb chops was ordered and brought to the table. The leg of lamb and filet were slightly dry but still good. The lamb chops with chimichurri sauce was amazing- nuances of vibrant flavors. Assorted fresh fruits were a colorful collection of enticements. I saw some papaya and enjoyed its fresh, sweet juiciness. I am not a dessert person but had to try the key like pie. Then of course, the matcha dessert is a sitting temptation next to the pie. So, my dessert spoils were more than intended. What the hell right? Lol That was the sweet ending to my Setai brunch. There was so much more such as bread, fried stuff, eggs, bagel station, toast etc. One can only eat so much. I stuck to enjoying my favorites. The experience is pricey but so worth it. It is truly the best brunch experience I've ever had. - better than Vegas and a cruise ship!! I always have to experience a Setai brunch whenever in Miami!

You are walking through the area with all the guests and their luggage in your super large robe that doesn't close very well. I did not enjoy this. Some disappointing things which was not their fault is the parking garage construction noise even on Sundays. The noise took away from my spa experience. They did nothing for the noise control. Also, the SPA requests you must arrive 30 minutes before your treatment time. I got my parking validated BUT we stayed for brunch who also validated our parking but we went over the 4 hours so we got no discount for parking and we were charged the full $35 fee plus tip for the valet. Our "up-graded" room facing half ocean/city was tiny, a tad worn, had a very nice view, and non impressive toiletrees. The worst part of our room was the side of the hotel we were on. Our room was on the industrial exhaust fans side and it was extremely noisy. Had to keep our balcony door closed to drown out the noise. The location of the hotel, as others mentioned is ideal. Now here is the scary part...we got stuck on the elevator two times. It wasn't a long time but enough to scare me especially since I am very claustrophobic. I ended up taking the stairs to the 9th floor the rest of our stay. They did fix the elevator but this happened to quite a few guests and they didn't shut the elevator. Our complimentary breakfast (free with my Marriott status) was not the best. Breakfast is served in the attached Mexican restaurant which is not owned by Marriott. It is not a buffet. Small menu with the basics. Food was fair. We enjoyed the pool and the short walk to the beach. The pool restaurant has the best hotdogs! And we also enjoyed the quinoa salad.

The rooms have been thoughtfully re-designed, but still have that cold Miami cinder block feel. In other words you won't do more than sleep in them. The pool area is fantastic with a bay view and plenty of chairs. Lido Grill, the main restaurant, is nicely done and people / pet friendly. Service was good, once you got their attention, which was on you, not them...we had the lobster, fairly priced at $39, but was like rubber and inedible. Sides were a throw away. Drinks were very good. Other points, nice mini bar in room, however NO coffee in room and coffee shop doesn't open until 7 AM. A regular room, facing back away from bay, dinner for 2, minor mini bar invasion (2 drinks) valet, was over $1100. Not worth the cost.

Today I attended a private brunch for work and I wanted to check two small bags at the front desk because I didn't want to take them into the brunch. I was told it would be five dollars for outside guests to check a bag. This is news to me. Never before have I been charged for this in the over 13 years that I've been going to this property. That isn't a luxurious experience nor is it up to standard, hotel guest or not. Service was polite outside of the charge. Food was average at best. A few hours later I attended another lunch at Bellini at the Mr. C hotel. I asked to check the same bags at their front desk. No charge. When I picked up my bags, they asked me how lunch was and if it was my first time at the property. Would I like some water to go (complimentary)? It was not my first time at Mr. C but this service is what I come to expect at a property of this nature. Not to be nickel and dimed for a basic service. This new experience paired with the fact that I was overcharged for drinks on my last visit to the standard (November) to which I called to rectify after realizing once I was home, I was told they would call me back and they never did. I'm soured on the whole property.

Fontainebleau Miami isn't just a hotel -- it's a full‑scale Miami moment. The kind of place where…read moreyou walk into the lobby and instantly feel like you've stepped into a glossy magazine spread. High ceilings, marble everywhere, and a buzz that tells you you're in the right place. What impressed me most? There's genuinely plenty to do for all ages, which is not something you can say about every Miami resort. Whether you're traveling with kids, teens, adults, or a multigenerational crew, everyone finds their lane here. The pool scene is the heartbeat of the property. Multiple pools, each with its own personality -- family-friendly areas with space to splash, quieter corners for lounging, and the high-energy spots where the music and cocktails flow. Service was dialed in across the board: fast, friendly, and always one step ahead. Rooms were spotless and stylish, with balconies that make you want to order room service just to soak in the view a little longer. Housekeeping kept everything crisp, and every request was met with that effortless "of course" attitude. Dining is another standout. From quick bites to full-on fine dining, everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Even the grab-and-go spots felt elevated. And if nightlife is your thing, you don't need to leave the property -- the energy here after dark is pure Miami. But if you're traveling with kids or just want a low-key night, the resort still feels comfortable and accessible. Fontainebleau nails that rare balance of iconic luxury and all-ages fun. It's bold, glamorous, and buzzing in all the right ways, yet still manages to be welcoming and easy to enjoy no matter who you're traveling with. A true Miami classic that continues to deliver. Enjoy

We didn't even stay at the hotel, we simply had a Mother's Day brunch reservation at Hakkasan and dessert at Chez Bon Bon. What should have been a nice family outing turned into an absolute nightmare. When we went to valet to retrieve our car, the lobby was filled with angry guests sitting around waiting HOURS for their vehicles. People were openly saying they had been waiting 1-3 HOURS and some had even missed flights because valet couldn't deliver their cars. Seeing at least 50 frustrated people stranded there was complete chaos. At that point I started panicking. I had my 3 children with me, my elderly parents, and all of my baby's formula and diapers locked inside the car with no idea when we would ever get it back. Completely unacceptable for a luxury hotel that charges premium prices. It was also $58 to valet! Thank God I drive a Tesla because I opened the live camera and location tracking and immediately saw my car had been sitting in the exact same spot where I dropped it off over 2.5 hours earlier. When we walked to the vehicle ourselves, we found the inside completely ransacked. Items from my center console were thrown everywhere and the driver and passenger seats were covered in sweat. Clearly multiple employees had been sitting inside our vehicle. When my husband confronted them, they claimed they had "misplaced the key card" and were searching for it. Then when asked why the inside of the car was trashed, they actually tried to say it was already like that. Absolutely insulting. This completely destroyed any trust I had in the Fontainebleau. I don't care if valet is a "separate department" it is still YOUR property, YOUR staff, and YOUR responsibility. Guests should not have to fear waiting 1-3 hours for their cars, missing flights, or having employees rummage through their personal belongings because the hotel can't manage basic operations. I understand it was Mother's Day and maybe they were understaffed, but the complete lack of communication, organization, accountability, or even basic customer service was disgraceful. Not once did anyone proactively update guests, apologize properly, offer compensation, or even waive valet charges. For a place that markets itself as luxury, this experience was beyond embarrassing.
