If you're looking for a secret gem of a hotel without the fine tunings of a modern day vacation stay.. the Impala hotel is the one! We had the best stay with the best hostel staff. Accommodating your needs as well as maintaining a clean room each day by the best housekeeping services. Located in prime area south beach. All the best dine in and local shops with the ocean drive street beach front a minute away!

Location was 10/10, hotel is clean and private and Michael and Carlos at the front desk were so helpful!! Hidden gem in Miami

Loved it here. The room was great and had a huge beautiful shower. There is even a beach bag with beach towels to use. The concierge was so helpful and offered umbrellas and waters. The location is great. A quick walk to the beach or to Ocean drive or Lincoln Rd. There is a free happy hour where you get 2 drinks free from 5-6. Choose from beer, wine, or a huge menu or mixed drinks. I honestly couldn't believe it was free. Continental breakfast was ok - better than nothing! Bagels, yogurt, cereal, fruit, muffins, coffee.... Loved it here!!!!

I book this hotel and it fell under a state of emergency the road was closed to enter South Beach and they wouldn't give me a refund. I called the hotel the day before and they knew the area was unsafe but still refused to refund me, instead told me to show my reservations to the police and they would probably let me enter into the area of riots, shootings and police having to pepper spray people in the streets!!!

I'd give this place 3.5 stars. It was nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of Collins Ave at the end of the day, but there were lots of little things that this place could have done better -- especially for the price! I think we were probably placed in the smallest room they had to offer. It was barely big enough for a queen sized bed and a wall-mounted television. This didn't bother us too much since we were mostly there to sleep. The one window it had faced out into the neighboring hotel's room so we had to keep the blinds drawn the entire time, which made the room very dark. The room itself was relatively clean and despite dragging some sand in almost every day, it was obvious they at least swept. We did find two small roaches in the shower but they were nothing compared to NYC roaches. I guess bugs are just expected of a tropical climate though. Another con was that they were out of several amenities that their guestbook said they'd have, including sunscreen and after sun which was supposed to be included in their beach bag (but they didn't even have when we asked about it at the front desk) and a disposable razor. I'm not sure about other products were listed though. Their outdoor patio/alley is very cozy and they'll let you smoke and drink your own alcohol out there, which is pretty nice. Beware of mosquitoes though! We had no trouble with noise at all, and we stayed over New Years Eve, which I think would be the loudest night of all. I think it helps that the hotel is set away from the street. However, I've lived in NYC before so maybe I'm just used to street noise. The toiletries included in the room were pretty standard - soap, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion. They were somewhat strangely coconut-smelling, which I'm not a fan of, but they did make my hair soft and smooth. The front desk personnel was always courteous and friendly, and we got some pretty good restaurant recommendations from them. Can't speak for the valet; we didn't drive. Also beware of no elevator, but we just had a couple of carry-ons so that wasn't an issue for us either. All in all, I think I'd pay an extra couple of hundred dollars and stay somewhere else but The Impala is an okay deal for the money (I also realize I stayed over possibly the busiest/most expensive nights of the year, so take that into account).

Complimentary robes, although the grown people juice did not come with the room lol.

The evenings were great as we were able to sit out on the balcony and relax, while at the same time being in the lobby or hitting the restaurant was always great. We took advantage of the on-site yoga classes and the beach every day while we were there. The beach area was nice, in the servers supporting the beach I felt did their best to accommodate all of the guests outside. If you're a frequent AMEX user, I would definitely recommend going through your AMEX as it really did just make a difference. The grounds were well kept the pool was clean. The staff was friendly and most importantly, we had an overall great experience. I would definitely recommend it for anybody coming to South Beach to come here, as it's centrally located and it's easily accessible to lots of other activities you may want to consider.

If you're considering booking Loews Miami Beach Hotel, do it. I was torn between this hotel and 1 Hotel South Beach, but ultimately Loews was the more cost-effective choice, and I'm so glad I chose it. Are there more families with children here? Yes. But honestly, the location, beautiful pool, and being just steps from the beach made this stay 100% worth it. The convenience and overall experience were unbeatable. A special shout-out to Caitlyn, who checked us in and went above and beyond. She was truly an A-star front desk agent -- warm, professional, and genuinely welcoming. She was the cherry on top of an already incredible stay. She even went out of her way to leave us a little dessert to celebrate one of our birthdays. That level of thoughtfulness and hospitality is what makes a stay memorable. Our servers and bartenders were also polite, professional, and engaging throughout our visit. Whoever is responsible for hiring and training this team deserves recognition -- the hotel staff truly elevated the entire experience.

The hotel's interior was truly beautiful, featuring a grand fountain that used to be a centerpiece. However, the Thai hotel next door left no water for the fountain, giving it a rather dormat-like appearance. We would often venture outside to admire the hotel's beautiful garden, which was lit up with candles and had a stunning swimming pool outside the lounge bar. Unfortunately, the bar itself was too dark, leaving everything in shadow. Despite this, the rooftop restaurant served delicious Brazilian cuisine and had friendly customer service! The staff were generally friendly, and a few were especially helpful. They handled three packages I had shipped to the hotel efficiently, though there was a sizable per-package fee. Small touches like afternoon boozy gelato samples and a lobby change machine for breaking $20s into $5s were appreciated. Breakfast at Lolo's was decent. My Marriott status included breakfast for two, though the included menu was much shorter than the regular one and the portions were modest. Still, the food was cooked to order, tasted good, and the servers kindly let me order both breakfasts since I was traveling alone. I didn't try the Japanese restaurant on site, but I heard good things and enjoyed the neighborhood restaurants instead, especially La Grande Boucherie. I paid a substantial premium for an oceanfront double room, but I'm not sure I would do that again. The balcony and glass door were fairly small, and the balcony felt boxed in for privacy. Next time I might prefer a cheaper park-side room on a higher floor, which could still offer a nice park and ocean view. The biggest disappointment was the late checkout. My Marriott Platinum Elite status is supposed to include guaranteed 4 p.m. late checkout, but the hotel would not honor it. Each day I was told to check again later, and in the end they could only offer 1 p.m. That created real scheduling problems, since I had planned around the advertised benefit. With no good place in the hotel to work or take calls after checkout, I ended up going to the airport hours early. The status is supposed to provide a room upgrade, but that wasn't available either. A couple of other issues matched complaints I had seen in recent reviews. One elevator stopped for several minutes with a group of us inside and did not respond to the buttons, which was uncomfortable even though the door eventually opened. I also received a call inviting me downstairs for a "welcome gift," which turned out to be a Marriott Vacation Club sales pitch. That should be presented more honestly. Overall, this was a decent stay and I might return. But given the failure to honor the guaranteed 4 p.m. late checkout, I would compare other options carefully before booking again.

High ceilings, marble everywhere, and a buzz that tells you you're in the right place. What impressed me most? There's genuinely plenty to do for all ages, which is not something you can say about every Miami resort. Whether you're traveling with kids, teens, adults, or a multigenerational crew, everyone finds their lane here. The pool scene is the heartbeat of the property. Multiple pools, each with its own personality -- family-friendly areas with space to splash, quieter corners for lounging, and the high-energy spots where the music and cocktails flow. Service was dialed in across the board: fast, friendly, and always one step ahead. Rooms were spotless and stylish, with balconies that make you want to order room service just to soak in the view a little longer. Housekeeping kept everything crisp, and every request was met with that effortless "of course" attitude. Dining is another standout. From quick bites to full-on fine dining, everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Even the grab-and-go spots felt elevated. And if nightlife is your thing, you don't need to leave the property -- the energy here after dark is pure Miami. But if you're traveling with kids or just want a low-key night, the resort still feels comfortable and accessible. Fontainebleau nails that rare balance of iconic luxury and all-ages fun. It's bold, glamorous, and buzzing in all the right ways, yet still manages to be welcoming and easy to enjoy no matter who you're traveling with. A true Miami classic that continues to deliver.
