Very disappointed with our stay, especially considering the high nightly rate. It was absolutely not worth the price. We stayed at The Savoy during the first week of May for four nights. Given Miami's heat, the air conditioning in our room was extremely weak, and we couldn't lower the temperature below 70°F initially. The "queen" beds also felt much smaller than standard queen size, more like twin beds. The maintenance and housekeeping were equally disappointing. The bathroom sink was clogged, and housekeeping regularly failed to clean the room properly or restock toiletries unless we repeatedly asked. We had to request extra toilet paper, shampoo, and body wash multiple times. Every day, something was missed , one day there were no hand towels, another day the living area in our queen suite wasn't cleaned at all. We also asked for hangers several times and only received them after the fourth request. The night receptionist, I believe his name was Kevin, was especially unhelpful. When we complained about the AC and requested a room change, he told us someone would immediately bring hangers and assist us, but no one ever came. He also told us that we will get another room in the morning, but when we asked in the morning, the request was denied. Basically he just lied on our face to avoid any accountability during the night. Eventually, maintenance came to check the AC next day after we again asked another person on the reception ( i forgot his name but he was atleast helpful), But, initially they claimed it was fixed without improving anything. Only after we insisted that the cooling still wasn't working did they finally replace the control box, which allowed us to lower the temperature below 70°F. Overall, the stay involved constant inconvenience and unnecessary frustration. I genuinely don't understand how this hotel is rated 4 stars , neither the service nor the room quality reflects that standard. The only positive aspect is the beach access, but honestly, you're better off just purchasing a day pass rather than staying here. Unfortunately, we will not be returning. read more

We love this place. We have been staying here for close to 8 years. We love the location, the hotel size and the people working there. In fact in 2025 we came in June with the family and we were again there this February. The people at the desk Denzel and Rose are so sweet and helpful. This year we met Marco. The door person Ricardo, was wonderful, helped us several times and has the best smile. The beach was great . Julio was there again he knows us by now and helped us with our chairs. The service was great Josephina and Makarena were great servers. They were frequently checking on us. My sister and our daughters had a great time and we already made our reservation for next year. read more

Stopped by on a Saturday with the ResortPass for the beach access. The place itself is gorgeous. The loungers are super comfortable, and you get an umbrella to keep you shaded, which is a nice touch. I visited The Savoy on Easter sunday for a last minute beach/ pool day. The atmosphere was charming and relaxed, and overall we had a nice time, but there were a few things that could have been better. It was a windy day, so we weren't allowed to use a beach umbrella, which made it tough to stay out there too long. After about an hour or two, we moved to the pool area. It took some time to find lounge chairs, but we were able to grab a couple as people began leaving around 3 p.m. The service was the main drawback. It was slow and inconsistent throughout the day. It took a while to get towels, and we had to repeatedly flag down our server just to place an order. Closing out the tab took over 20 minutes, and our server didn't check up on us not once. The Savoy has a cute vibe and worked out for a spontaneous plan, but I'll likely explore other hotel day pass options next time. read more

I've been staying at this hotel since 2013, my go to in south beach! They've had the same bartender for years and he's super friendly, the front desk has always accommodated me and my family, whether its something as simple as a toothbrush or as necessary as being given a new room due to miscellaneous events. It's pricey but worth every penny. The doormen and receptionist are always sweet. It's beach front and right on ocean drive, on 5th street. Very close to Nikki beach, fogo de chao, carbone, and the prime chain restaurants. They couldn't find our reservation, gave us keys that didn't work, no bathmat, no hand towels. The shower door isn't a door so the shower was weird, the bed was sunk in on the middle . The next morning we tried to go to breakfast. No one there. The pool guy says the breakfast is inside, nope it is outside! The front desk calls oh no they are doing breakfast outside. Go back outside. No one there. We walked up the street and got breakfast. I would never recommend this hotel. There are literally so many other nice hotels on the street. We came with my husband for the beach, we rented a cabana and all the staff were so friendly! Drinks and food were good and our server Arwin was super attentive! Also Santiago at front desk was nice enough to take care of our belongings while we enjoyed the beach. This is one of the historic hotels in Miami Beach and in my opinion a "kinda" hidden gem if you will. Not sure why the 3.5 star ratings and quite honestly I don't care because my experience was superb. I did the $95 resort pass which is a good deal because you get a reserved beach chair and a reserved pool chair both with umbrellas and that takes away the stress of having to be there super early to beat the crowd and make sure you have a place to chill with some shade. The beach VIP area where you get your assigned chair is also a great deal considering you get a waiter to bring you food and drinks until 5PM. The hotel staff is so cordial and welcoming and they make sure you get VIP treatment as soon as you get there. You check in and one of the staff members takes you to your chair, sets up the towel to sit on, provides an extra one for drying and hands over a menu. They're very attentive and fast considering there's at least like 50 or 60 chairs on the sand and they tend to all of them at a quick pace. Remember they have to walk back to the pool bar to get the orders in and walk back to beach so placing an order for a drink and getting such drink back in less than 5 minutes is pretty impressive if you ask me. The food also comes fast pretty fast so service here is top notch. I started at the beach with the coconut bowl and drink of your choice and so I opted for a rum punch. You get the coconut bowl for $28 and add any drink of you choice like a piña colada, mojito, daiquiri or MaiTai. Yes it's $38 for a drink at the beach but it's to be expected when enjoying the amenities in a hotel and the drinks did pack a punch, no skimping on the liquor here. Also tried the MaiTai and both drinks were as potent as they were refreshing and delicious, perfect for a beach/pool day in Miami. After a few hours at the beach I decided to spend some time at the gorgeous hotel pool. Again staff set up my pool chair with towels and asked if I needed anything. By this time I was getting hungry so I ordered a poke bowl for something filling but also healthy and refreshing. Poke bowl with white rice base came with tuna, shrimp, salmon, edamame beans, avocado slices, cucumbers and diced pineapple with a side of soy sauce, spicy mayo and sriracha sauce for a little kick. Bowl was delicious and it hit the spot for sure. All sea protein was definitely fresh as were the rest of the ingredients. To continue this awesome pool day I ordered another MaiTai but in a pineapple bowl this time. David, the bartender who made all these delectable drinks deserved all the hype and credit, man didn't skip a beat. From the moment you walk in the lobby and concierge greets you with a smile and you feel welcome, that's what I consider top tier customer service and The Savoy staff does just that so I recommend this little historic hotel of Miami for your stay, staycation and resort pass. By the way, beach area was spotless, water was clean and it's not the type of hotel that gets super crowded and I love that more laid back relaxing and chill type of vibes as supposed to the crowded joints like the bigger hotels in the area. Beach pass only review: not worth it. You're paying $55 per person for a chair and an umbrella. When we arrived we were the only ones here. I immediately asked about the umbrella as only a couple of chairs were out. I was told that an umbrella is included, and then waited about an hour to receive it as the staff first finished setting up the rest of the chairs before bringing it over, even though we were the only people there. They are supposed to start taking lunch orders at 11. At 11:15 nothing was happening, so I asked how lunch works and was told someone will be over soon. I say we are in the front. At 11:30 they are taking orders but don't bother finding me. I flag them down. Food comes out relatively quick (half hour) and the burger is decent. They were out of fries. Gratuity is included in the bill but they don't tell you that. The perk of the staff being so demotivated is that we were able to sneak into the pool even though we didn't pay for it. I love this hotel! I was looking for quick one night stay after a cruise and found this beautiful hidden gem! I decided to stay here mainly for access to the beach and not one but two pools, but also for their suite featuring three balconies, location and proximity to the best part of Miami, South Beach! I debarked from the cruise earlier than my check-in time, but that wasn't a problem as the front desk kept my bags for me while I enjoyed the pool, sidebar and restaurant access to the beach! The drinks were so strong and delicious and the food was not bad either! I had rum, daiquiris tacos and the guacamole was terrific. I swam in there larger pool which was over 8 feet deep! When my room was ready, I was pleasantly surprised and impressed with the size decor and views! As mentioned before, I didn't have just one balcony I had three, stunning views of the ocean and beach, pool, and lounging area! The bathroom was spacious with a beautiful, walk-in shower. I had a king size bed a couch, two TVs and enough space for a whole family. The room was decorated beautifully with pink pastels and complementary greens. The entire hotel was aesthetic and perfect for selfies and photos. Funny story but I happen to leave one of the balcony doors open on an accident and woke up to a huge iguana sitting on the patio. It didn't even try to get in my room or bother me at all and I really appreciated that experience. There are so many restaurants and establishments near within walking distance, and many Ubers available in the area. The stay is worth the price at around $300 or it was money well spent. I stayed here for 1 night as part of my 30th birthday weekend. I feel that we didn't stay long enough to really give every aspect of The Savoy a review however I didddd promise to write a review about the service by the pool. This past Saturday, I had about 6-8 friends purchase the $75 resort pass. We hung out by the pool, went swimming, ordered a lot of food and drinks. Wallus (I hope I spelt it right), was our server and he was amazing. Not only were we celebrating my birthday, but his birthday was Sunday, the next day! (Which he also worked, what a great sport). Wallus was super attentive and very friendly. He made part of my birthday celebration a memorable one. (Side Note - we went to Nobu for dinner that night and our service was terrible...just goes to show ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ) The Savoy was a very cool "boutique-y" hotel with beautiful decor inside and out. I picked a larger room for my boyfriend and I and only stayed a night. The room was really cute and VERY spacious...we had 3 balconies. The only negative's I would say about the room was the bed wasn't really that comfortable. The comforter more specifically was super rough and not even soft. And if you are staying in a room by the pool, beware of hearing the music they are playing down by the pool...every once in a while I would wake up and it would be hard to fall back asleep. Welcome to Fawlty Towers South Beach! The hotel may be situated in a prime area of party-ism Miami (aka SoBe) however it's really well trodden - aka totally worn down. Keep in mind almost 100% of the SoBe hotels were in its prime back in the 1950s when rooms cost $50/night. Now some 70 years later, it's literally the same exact properties with a fresh coat of paint and perhaps a new floor and that about it. The Savoy fits that model exactly. If you are looking for a good spring break hotel room to party on - then this is your place. Otherwise the room is in really basic form cheaply appointed with IKEA furnishings complete with random questionable stains. The room was pretty filthy including water marks from beverages from the previous guests. The pool area is narrow and questionable. The bar food & beverage looked absolutely disgusting. They have a decent section of the public beach but who cares - literally everyone does on SoBe. I'd never stay at this place again - wish the owner actually took pride in keeping it a property worthy of its historic status given by the city, I'm guessing instead they jockeyed for that rating just so they could avoid updating anything, The one positive is that they feature Elemis products from the UK although the soap is mounted to the wall. read more

Came here for my birthday to relax at the pool with my girls. The service was great. Jennifer greeted us at the door offered us water, coffee and tea. Then we went to the pool area the views were beautiful. The water was clean and just right. The beach is also not far which is a plus. The drinks was great and the food also great. I stayed at the Savoy the 22nd-24th and I had the worst experience I have ever had. The hotel is not soundproofed we were up until 3 am trying to sleep both nights. I was on a business trip and it completely ruined my sleep. When we arrived the floors were sandy and not cleaned. The bedsheets both nights were dirty. It looked like dirty sheets were placed on the bed. The bathroom was dirty as well. Our phone in the room did not work I had to walk to the front desk twice to let them Know and they did not change our phone until our second day and anytime we tried calling the front desk we were disconnected. I had to walk to the desk and request housekeeping twice as well. Yesterday on the 25th I called the front desk and requested a manager call me regarding my stay. I was told my stay was non refundable and there was nothing they could do for me, the man I spoke with did not apologize for the stay and I let him know I would write a review on my experience if nothing could be done because there is no way I would ever recommend and stay at the hotel ever again and he proceeded to hang up on me! Great location, but construction is super annoying. Makes laying by the pool impossible. We got an king suite with a balcony and the room was very beautiful. I feel like the picture are slightly misleading because it makes you think its one big room, but it's just one extra long room with a seating area. The building is old, so there are weird sounds at night. The "private beach" isn't really that private. People layout in towels in front of you, but it is nice to have a chair to lounge on and an umbrella. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, I would give it 4 stars if not for the noise. There is construction at this hotel and the condos next door. It's very loud staring at like 7:30 in the morning, like literal jack hammering. The construction is ongoing during the majority of the day, so if you lay by the pool, it's just constant noise. Such a shame, because the garden is gorgeous. You can still take some beautiful pictures, but that noise will give you a migraine. We wanted to lay by the pool, but opted for the beach instead given the noise. You can get free bottled water at the front desk, so take advantage of that. read more

The best part of this hotel is the beach and pool. It's beautiful, great location, and comfortable. I was surprised when I got to the hotel because if felt a lot older than I expected with having such a high price point per night. They have done a lot of remodeling. The lobby was nice to photograph but had an old feel. The hallways to the rooms definitely need updating. I liked our room itself with the exception of the queen bed. There are no king beds to book so it felt tight. They do have nice balconies with palm tree views and you can see the pool. Also I want to mention there is no room service. You can only order food at the pool or beach. The price is not crazy. Back to the beach I was not thrilled with the staff. We arrived and got a spot in front and later had to move because the staff said the front was for their members and also said the guy who put us there was new and made a mistake. Rude. I will compliment the room service staff. Always prompt and perfectly clean. Overall, I would probably stay here again. Came here and felt like family!! Our room wasn't quite ready upon our early arrival but the front desk provided us with a place to change to make our reservations. Our room was ready and I loved the ambiance. The staff was very attentive. The room was so nice and service was friendly. Our flight was cancelled so we ended up staying another night. They were very accommodating and was available to match the online price for our booking at the last minute. My fiancé and I enjoyed the pool whose staff was also friendly and drinks were bomb. Saw this sitting in my drafts, so finishing it now. =P I stayed at this hotel roughly one year ago from today. It was one hell of a year for me! I must've flown out of Boston 10 times! Anyways, it was my sisters', with a plural, birthday weekend. Our family never does anything small, 'cause YOLO, right? LOL. We chose this hotel based on location. It was perfect. Right on Ocean Drive with some seclusion. A short 10 min walk to all the action. We booked our reservations online, approximately one month in advanced with great rates. Our flight departed Boston around 5:30am. By the time we landed and retrieved our luggage and vehicle rental it was about 10am. Thankfully, we were smart enough to plan a whole itinerary in advanced. Check in time was at 4pm. We arrived a few hours early and the guest service rep informed us our room was not ready. We then left and returned at 4pm in which he again stated our room was still not available. At this point they decided to give us a complimentary upgrade to one of the ocean view suites. Great customer service! I can't remember his name, but he made us laugh the entire weekend! Our suite was suberb! Beautifully decorated, incredible views, a spacious 600 sq feet, including a sofa bed and all the amenities we needed and more. Really couldn't have asked for a better place! Also there were multiple card/pin only access entrances we had to go through to get to our suite. I guess they made it pretty safe here with all that security! We very much enjoyed the pool and their private beach. They provided a direct beach access from the pool area. I was not so keen on paying the extra fees for beach umbrellas. As a guest, shouldn't this be included?!? There were some ongoing renovations with the pool area being made at this time. We were a bit disappointed that this was not mentioned prior to booking. Most the amenities at pool were not available, especially the poolside bar. We did not dine at their restaurant but we did utilize the valet services for our rental. At a daily rate of $30, we thought it was kind of outrageous. However, with a compromise of in an out privileges, it was well worth it. Plus, it saved us the hassle of driving in circles. FYI, they advise you to phone ahead for your vehicle so they can promptly have it ready for you. Overall, we loved our stay. This hotel was a dream come true! I booked a room here for the night before my wedding and to get ready in the morning of because of its impecable style from the lobby to the smallest detail. Not only having to get married during COVID I also had to deal with a Tropical Storm *gahsp* the day of my wedding. It rained the entire day but the manager on duty came to the rescue and allowed my photographers to shoot in the hotel lobby!
