We are locals that spent a weekend staycation here. Location is great next to Brickell and downtown with easy access to Miami Beach. However, the hotel is very old, feels old, and is in need of renovations (which I believe are happening within the next year). We didn't take advantage of the amenities (probably would have if we weren't locals) and spent most of our time at the pool, which at least had a nice view of the bay and downtown skyline. I honestly remember more cons than pros (one elevator was down which caused a long delay; the hostesses at La Mar gave us a brunch menu to look at but didn't tell us that it was actually not available bc they were closing soon - weird but OK). I did like the tea we were offered at check-in and the concierge service through WhatsApp. But nothing standout about our experience.

I spent two nights here, and while the customer service was decent when requested, there were some areas for improvement. For example, when I asked for a fridge, microwave, and even plates, the staff happily provided them. Most of the employees were in a good mood, though they could have been more proactive in greeting guests and checking if we needed anything. The main reason for the 4 star rating is the bed, it was extremely firm, making it difficult to sleep. I originally planned to stay three nights but ended up leaving early because of this. When I mentioned my concern to front desk at checkout, her only response was to offer a mattress topper, which I wasn't aware was an option. This makes me wonder, if other guests have also complained about the bed's firmness, why isn't this option more widely advertised, maybe as an option more visible. Another issue was housekeeping entering my room twice while I was working, despite having the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door. While they were polite, it was unsettling that they could still come in so easily. On the positive side, the location is great--about 25-30 minutes from South Beach with traffic and offering beautiful views all around.

This was my family's first vacation since 2007, and I really couldn't have asked for a better experience. The customer service was spectacular. I really appreciated having multiple points of contacts throughout my entire stay and even before checked in. Everyone did amazingly well to make sure my family and I were comfortable. We had two rooms for 10 days, which gave us ample space where we didn't feel like we were on top of each other. I travel more often than my family, so I really wanted to set the standard for how a vacation should be -- the hotel experience *is* what really makes or breaks a vacation, and all the staff exceled at making my family happy. And when my family is happy, I'm happy. We've created so many new memories, I met so many amazing people. All I can really say is "wow." How about we just shut down all other hotels and keep MO as the only option for everyone?! ;) I'm so glad I chose MO as the hotel for my family to enjoy! Elysia, Ginevra, Liliana, Thomas, Sebastian, Julian, the awesome staff at MO Bar & Lounge, the wonderful housekeeps -- thank you a million times. I can't wait to be back! I wish I could live here!

I picked this hotel to celebrate my husband's birthday. As his first trip to Miami it did not disappoint. Located on its own triangle shaped island The Mandarin Oriental offers you a relaxed Miami experience. The service was impeccable from the start, every hotel staff we came across was helpful and pleasant. Our ocean view room was spacious and offered a balcony view overlooking the ocean and Brickell. This hotel has a lot of amenities like dry cleaning, a bar and restaurant and spa to enjoy. While lounging by the pool we were met with the best service all day and the strawberry daiquiris were delicious. The pool area is a great place to drink and enjoy the sun. Being that this is located on a mini island you'll see a lot of joggers passing by. We enjoyed the pool and man made beach they offered a short walk away too. The spa was incredible. We booked a couples massage that was amazing. Before being escorted upstairs I took advantage of the spacious bath area. They have these high tech shower with various shower heads that can be controlled by a screen in the wall. The massage itself was very relaxing. It was in a cute room overlooking the pool area. The best part was afterwards when getting ready in the bath area I realized they literally had everything a girl could need, moisturizer, deodorant, hair ties it was such a great surprise! The Bar area gets packed on Friday nights. By the time we got there it was very little seating. We dined at the restaurant downstairs and we're not impressed by the fish choice. The Cosmo's are great though Taking a stroll on the island at night was nice. If you're looking to shop the walk over the bridge to Brickell is very short. It's close to everything if you want to just lounge, shop and relax in Miami for the weekend.

Absolutely outstanding service and experience at the Mandarin Oriental Miami! We had a mini staycation here this past Labor Day. Check-in was prompt and courteous. Although we were advised our room wasn't ready upon checking in, we went to the lobby bar and ordered drinks and a burger. By the time we received the burger, our room was ready. That should have been 20 to 30 minutes tops stops. Sooo nice after a long road trip. Lobby BAR: Excellent cocktails for very reasonable prices. We tried their burger from the bar menu, which was too plain. It really was missing some sort of aioli or cheese. Fries were crunchy and delicious though. My Old Fashioned was strong and proper. My husband really enjoyed his Nasty... something! I forgot! It was a spin on the margarita, but with a hint of jalapenos and nutmeg dust. SUITE: Our bay view king room/suite was impeccable. Gorgeous views from the 12th floor, comfortable bed, spacious, clean, and beautiful bathroom as well. The only downside of the spacious balcony is that it isn't private at all. There's a see-through screen divider between all balconies on the floor. Bummer. Still, we enjoyed watching the skyline and the boats passing by. Beautiful sunset from there too. POOL: Too small for the size of the hotel, in my opinion. It fell crowded during the day. Hard to find a shaded lounger or a lounger at all. We had to move toward the private "beach" area, which you access by exiting the property through a gate by the hot tub, cross a trail part of an adjacent park, and walk into another gated area that is part of the hotel. We absolutely loved that "beach" area though! Too bad there isn't a small plunge pool there as well to spread patrons (and so we can all enjoy a pool time as well). It was full of beautiful palm trees, a great view of the skyline and bay. We thoroughly enjoyed watching the mega yachts passing by while relaxing on a double lounger under the shade of some palm trees. BREAKFAST: Ohhhh, sooo good! We enjoyed it at the outdoor dining area that is part of La Mar restaurant. We chose the $39 buffet, which had excellent dishes such as made-to-order omelets, relat fixings [scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, accoutrement of cheeses and fruits, cereals, etc. ], homemade granola and waffles, and even free-flowing, French press Illy coffee. We got it for free and only had to pay a little over $10 for gratuity after the credit applied thanks to our American Express Fine Hotels and Resorts reservation. DINING: We also enjoyed the La Mar restaurant for dinner, and it was FABULOUS. It only took 20 minutes from sitting to receiving our app *and* main entrees! Outstanding service, excellent portions, and unique Peruvian fusion flavors. Our only complaint is the early 2010's top 40 playlist that completely RUINED the ambience. Terrible. They should have chill lounge music as they at the pool or, even better, play some relaxing Latin tunes. Unfortunately, we did not have time to try out their spa. We did look at their menu and they had so many great treatments! We hope to try it on our next visit. So happy we are Florida natives and this fabulous hotel is only 4 hours away from us. It was truly a treat and will definitely consider it for future staycations. We loved our stay despite the few snags here and there. We are Mandarin Oriental fans now! Such a great first experience.

The hotel is great overall, and this magnificent five-bedroom penthouse encompasses the entire top floor of the Mandarin Oriental, Miami, bringing the essence of five-star luxury to Brickell Key. Featuring a private infinity pool, high-energy bayside restaurant and exotic day spa, the hotel offers a taste of Asian serenity in sun-drenched Miami. Now that I'm here again, I still like it so much. You can see the beautiful river view from the hotel lobby. The hotel rooms all have a small terrace. I went here once in the summer and it was great. I recently got back from Miami and was so busy with work that I forgot to comment until now.

Best hotel, excellent service and wonderful food and amenities. I've stayed at many hotels in Miami and I have to say this is my favorite.

Enjoyed my stay at the Mandarin. The rooms were a nice size with great products and a great view. Like everyone they're challenged with staffing so we had to ask a few times for items but everyone we spoke with was lovely. The spa was great of course and even if you're unable to squeeze in service the amenities(sauna, steam room, cold room etc.) we're accessible. The bar and restaurant were both popular.

Enter Year of the Dragon ~ What a splendiferous place to reunite with local and out-of-state friends to kick off our food festival birthday aquatic theme celebration weekend here! I've always enjoyed every stunning Mandarin Oriental location I've visited in the past. I would expect nothing less of the Lunar New Year prosperity decor and spectacular Miami Biscayne Bay waterfront night skyline views at Mandarin Oriental Miami. We enjoyed Peruvian dinner at La Mar by Gaston Acurio inside the hotel where my event industry friend has done business at this venue. If only we had more time before our next destination of the evening. I would happily return here for relaxing drinks in the sleek lounge or catch a sunset the next time we are in this Magic City.

I spent a nice staycation weekend here! The entrance to Mandarin Oriental is right before the gate guard into Brickell Key (man-made island). It will be on the right side immediately after the bridge off of Eighth Street. We missed this our first time around. I love the location, as it offers great views everywhere. A lot of people will come into the lobby to take pictures overlooking the Miami bay, especially late afternoon. I highly recommend walking/jogging around Brickell Key. Everyone is pretty active throughout the day, and there are nearby coffee shops and quick-bite restaurants you can walk/jog/bike/etc. Room was good, but we were mostly outdoors. King bed is quite comfortable with plenty of pillows. Plenty of outlets throughout the room with top-shelf amenities. There is a soaking tub with an open view to the room and a stand-up shower in the corner of the restroom. Pool and hot-tub were decent. We were in a corner area, furthest away from the bar. They will come to you when you press the black radar button for food and drinks service. There is a private beach area (need key access) for those staying, right across the pool. There is no swimming in the private area, but it offers views with food and drinks service. Service was great except this one little incident. We went to the front desk to request for quick housekeeping with bedsheets and extra towels while we left for Key Biscayne. We came back several hours later with no service, so we called them to leave the appropriate items we needed in front of our door. I am not sure about the valet pricing, but they were always on time. Would I come back? Yeah. It is also dog-friendly!

This was my first time in Miami with my boyfriend. We wanted to be near the ocean and the city. We actually stayed long enough to book one on the ocean front and this one which had the city views! Parking: The hotel is kind of on its own island. You take a bridge and it takes you right there. So you either have to go with their valet parking which is of course expensive or find a parking garage. Sorry, but god gave me 2 working legs lol so We parked a couple blocks away which cost about $15-20/day. Download the ParkMobile app. It'll save you time and money on finding the closest parking lots. I believe the hotel was charging around $60/day. Room: We booked a Deluxe Veranda King room. I was beyond happy with it. They had chocolates and a personal hand written card on the table, very nice touch. You get a full desk, tv, snack bar and a stocked fridge. No microwave though. Balcony: It has a balcony with 2 long lounge chairs. The view is AMAZING! You get the whole city view and it's so freaking close. I would have liked that the fence they used to divide each balcony to be solid. You can see the other side because the spaces are kinda big in the pattern they picked. Bathroom: The bathroom is every women's dream. Or at least mine! Separate toilet with a closed door for privacy. Full wall mirror, bathtub and enclosed glass shower. I love how everything was placed and designed. Looks elegant and simple. There's also a curtain blind divider between the room and the bathroom. We always kept it open because it's nice to see the city from the bathtub :-) Bed: Clean and comfortable linens and pillows. Nothing to complain about. Pool: They have an infinity edge pool which you can still see the city from. Also a small jacuzzi as well. If you take the stairs down, you'll get to another private beach section by using your card to get in. It's man made but it's still nice that it's at the front edge of the water. It's more for laying out in the cabanas. We enjoyed our stay here. With Covid going on, staying in a hotel like this made us feel like we were in paradise. Thank you!

Definitely not a 5 start hotel. Everything is old and outdated with a weird smell outside by the water. The rooms looked like a best western hotel room. We checked out immediately and asked for a refund. They even admitted they are closing down for a few years to update it. Why charge so much and advertise it as a 5 star hotel when it clearly isn't?! I had booked a spa day before check in and it was definitely not a 5 star spa day experience. I couldn't wait to get out. Very disappointing!

Walking distance to a Publix, the mall, bakery, etc. The hotel checkin is on the 6th floor, the first floor is mainly a seating area and concierge. They offer free hot breakfast, mini fridge and microwave in the room, cruise shuttle at time of this review is priced at $12 with pick up times at 10a, 11a, and 12p. If you miss breakfast, they had breakfast bags with fruit and other grab and go items. You will need your room key to access the laundry room and guest floors. There is no carpet in the room I was in (basic king- not the elite level) and pets are not allowed. Service animals only. The hotel has a lobby bar, three restaurants are located right next door (Sproutz, Batch Gastropub, and Shahs of Kabob). I dined at Sproutz and Shahas of Kabob and both are good, but they are not affiliated with the hotel. I stayed 3 nights prior to my cruise and I really enjoyed my stay. The air conditioner worked with no issues, pillows are very soft, bed was firm, but not uncomfortable and I slept better in that bed, than my own. There is a master light switch to control the overhead light in the entry and bathroom. You can operate them separately (it just takes some flipping of lights to figure it out). Decent water pressure and nice, hot water at night. Morning time I suggest getting your shower in early. Hot water is still present but not as hot as it was the night before. Tip- I took my shower at 5/6am the morning of checkout and the water was hot and perfect for a nice shower before leaving for cruise. Staff was always smiling, friendly and willing to assist. Carlos at the concerige desk is very helpful, ask for his recommendations and he is more than happy to assist. The 7th floor has the laundry facility, but many machines were out of order. This is going on my pre cruise hotel list because it was the perfect hotel and the perfect location. It was about a 15min ride to the cruise port and airport. The cruise port ride was booked for 8am, so I beat the 9am bumper car cruise port traffic. The video I posted is short and quick, but a glimpse of the room

We had a two day stay before heading out on a cruise. An extended vacation if you will. The service was phenomenal! We stayed on the Elite Level which provided extra goodies, and benefits. Sharing a picture below of what they define as the elite level and the benefits included. The location is perfect, in the middle of all things Brickell/Downtown. We were surrounded by restaurants/eateries, coffee shops, stores, the park, city centre you name it! Super convenient because we didn't need to call a Lyft to get around. So you better believe on the days we did go out, we got our steps in. It's giving HEALTH! 2026 who?! We are starting NOW honey! Okay, back to the review....hot (and cold if you're into that) breakfast was served each morning for free! You read that correctly. Free food honey. I mean you did pay for it so why not go ahead and eat? Your business not mine. Non-smoking hotel. Pools. Fitness center. The whole ordeal. A little store with snacks, drinks, and whatever else you feel you may need or want. I should also add that the hotel prides themselves on being accessible. Let's move towards cleanliness. Because cleanliness is next to what?! Godliness! Okay, I see yall! The room oozed of cleaning products. You would have thought the staff had just left from pouring Clorox and whatever other good smells needed to make a space smell delicious. Oozing with fresh aromas! The bed, not mine, but theres, was one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in when traveling. Hotel beds typically don't bring out the best in me, I am in fear of all beds that are not my own. Laugh if you must but I am who I am! However, a soft bed with clean linings - sign me TF up. The elite levels are on the 14th and 15th floors. They provide robes and slippers. Did not wear the robe. Read what I said about the beds and sit with that. Anyway, I did wear the slippers and they are about as thin as a sheet of loose leaf paper lmao! The chair rolled on top of mine and ripped the back of it so they lasted about 12 hours for me. #SelfInflicted I know. It's a nice touch to have in your hotel room though. Me personally, I travel with slippers. As I bring this review to a close, I want to highlight the staff members that assisted during the stay. Mr. Ernest, Russell, and everyone else at the front desk that extended a warm welcome and consistent assistance. Thank you again! One hiccup that was addressed immediately. They have an "in-room dining option." This particular policy states that you can order food and have the food delivered to your room. Okay convenience! And accessibility! Well I ordered some food from a nearby eatery and the delivery person was not allowed up. "We don't allow people to come up to the rooms for safety reasons." Heard. And appreciated. Truly!! They value safety. My issue was when asked about the policy in place, being asked if I had a medical condition to where I couldn't come down and to get my delivery. While a relevant question, that is something I'd recommend treading lightly around. You never know anyone's health/medical condition. Furthermore, if your policy states one thing then every staff member needs to be on one accord. The issue was taken care of and the person was able to deliver my order. The front desk member was also not rude just inquiring. I appreciate how quickly the matter was resolved. If you're headed on a cruise or you're in need of a nice hotel that is conveniently located, Hampton Inn Brickell is your girl (or boy), be who you are!

My gf and I stopped through here on our way out before boarding our flights later in the afternoon. If you're toting your luggage and not a hotel guest, you will have to find another hotel to store your luggage while enjoying this most decadent brunch experience. Luckily we arrived early enough to our reservations to sort that out. Reservations are a must if you don't want to wait. The restaurant is gorgeous with various spaces designed differently but keeps to the exotic Asian theme. Dining in the atrium near the water feature in the middle with stage for the musicians is where we had our experience. Olga was our server. She brought us our special beverages not available at the bar: Bloody Mary's and endless bubbly in our glasses The offerings here are more than I can name, but there is something to satisfy every craving. The favorite for me is the caviar bar. It comes with all the proper fixings on a blini with Crème fraîche. Do you need a vodka shot to go with? Yes, that's also available also at the caviar station. Fresh raw oysters, clams or shrimp cocktail is available in abundance with everything else here. The ceviche was great. I passed on all the various noodles but had to have some lamb curry and basmati rice- delicious! I had some Peking Duck and leg of lamb at the meat station. The filet mignon and lamb chops was ordered and brought to the table. The leg of lamb and filet were slightly dry but still good. The lamb chops with chimichurri sauce was amazing- nuances of vibrant flavors. Assorted fresh fruits were a colorful collection of enticements. I saw some papaya and enjoyed its fresh, sweet juiciness. I am not a dessert person but had to try the key like pie. Then of course, the matcha dessert is a sitting temptation next to the pie. So, my dessert spoils were more than intended. What the hell right? Lol That was the sweet ending to my Setai brunch. It is truly the best brunch experience I've ever had. - better than Vegas and a cruise ship!! I always have to experience a Setai brunch whenever in Miami!

You are walking through the area with all the guests and their luggage in your super large robe that doesn't close very well. I did not enjoy this. Some disappointing things which was not their fault is the parking garage construction noise even on Sundays. The noise took away from my spa experience. They did nothing for the noise control. Also, the SPA requests you must arrive 30 minutes before your treatment time. I got my parking validated BUT we stayed for brunch who also validated our parking but we went over the 4 hours so we got no discount for parking and we were charged the full $35 fee plus tip for the valet. The valet staff was quite nasty telling me we were there too long for the discount BUT each one of those alone qualified for a discounted valet. You can not do both in the 4 hour window.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for one night prior to a cruise. We used credit-card points to pay for the room. The employee at the front desk spoke nicely with us and allowed us to check into our room early. Our room had a balcony, king-sized bed, television, desk and chair, sofa, closets, large walk-in shower, wi-fi, and views of the bay. The room was comfortable and clean, but we could sometimes hear our neighbor's loud music. I did notice that the floor boards had gaps and that some wallpaper in the bathroom was peeling. Building amenities included a business center, meeting rooms, swimming pool, fitness center, a restaurant, etcetera. This hotel has a restaurant called Caña, and we ate one meal there. I will review it separately under its Yelp listing, but it was decent.

There is a minimum spend requirement for the cabana, but it was super easy to hit between food and drinks. And considering you're paying for a dedicated space, service, and a prime poolside setup, it felt worth it. Overall, it was the perfect day to unwind and feel a little luxe. After a long day of travel, we received two Prosecco as soon as we checked in and arrived. Our room was upgraded and it was located right across on top of the Naked Taco where the rooftop pool is at. It's perfectly located for anything you want to do, all the good food spots, bars, places, etc. The next day we went straight to the beach and they provide complimentary beach chairs, towels and umbrellas upon request and you just walk yourself to the beach with them. There's nothing like Miami Beach! The water was perfect and it felt so good to just defrost on the sand and dive into the gorgeous turquoise water. After a few hours at the beach, we went back, enjoyed late check out and headed to crunch fitness - which was absolutely worth it! We were able to leave our bags at the front desk while we worked out, grabbed a late lunch, some drinks and then got to come back and enjoy the rooftop pool during happy hour for drinks and snacks until sunset. The Brickell area is a vibe, walkable and full of restaurants and shops, which makes it a perfect pre- or post-cruise stay. The hotel's proximity to the cruise port was a huge plus. Check-in is self-service, but assistance is available if needed, which made the process easy and convenient. The king bed does take up most of the room, stretching from the window to the wall, so the room feels a bit compact--but it's thoughtfully designed. The sink is located in the main room across from the bathroom, and I actually found the setup pretty functional. The shelves around the sink were stocked with a washcloth, hand towel, hair dryer, and tissues, plus hand soap and lotion at the end of the counter. There was also enough counter space for toiletries. There's an open closet area and a nice touch of wall art, and the laminated wood flooring gave the room a clean, modern feel. One of my favorite features was the in-room iPad that controls everything--such a fun tech-forward touch. I also absolutely loved the decor throughout the hotel. The colors are vibrant, playful, and stylish without feeling overdone. The second-floor seating areas were spacious and inviting, and the rooftop/pool space was another highlight. There's also a bar on the second floor with outdoor seating, which is a great spot to relax and people-watch. Overall, this hotel has a fun atmosphere, smart use of technology, and an unbeatable location. I'd definitely stay here again, especially for a quick stay before a cruise.

What stood out to me immediately was the leadership behind this operation. I had the pleasure of speaking directly with Mr. Ramirez, the manager, and he is the kind of leader you rarely encounter. His presence reflects confidence, pride, and a deep commitment to excellence. You can tell he doesn't just manage--he actively develops his team, sets a clear standard, and leads with intention. The consistency in service--from housekeeping to valet to registration--is a direct reflection of his leadership, attention to detail, and investment in his staff. In a busy, high-class establishment, that level of cohesion and professionalism is truly impressive. Nichole, the concierge, is gracious, kind, and warm, with exceptional active listening skills. She makes every interaction feel personalized and genuinely welcoming, embodying the friendly professionalism that defines this hotel. The rooms are modern, spacious, and thoughtfully designed, complete with a full refrigerator, stove, microwave, and even a toaster--everything you need for a comfortable stay. The bed was incredibly soft and comfortable, providing one of the best nights of sleep I've had while traveling. The rooms are also built so well that you don't hear any outside noise, making it feel like your own private apartment. We stayed in a skyline-view room with a balcony, and the view of the city was absolutely stunning. The amenities were just as impressive--the pool is large and beautiful, and the hot tub is spacious and incredibly relaxing. I also appreciated the added layer of security--the key card system only allows access to your specific floor, which makes you feel safe and well taken care of. I sincerely hope this review reaches the brand management team at the Elser Hotel, as it highlights the exceptional leadership, dedication, and uncompromising attention to detail demonstrated by Mr. Ramirez, along with Nichole and the entire team who consistently elevate the guest experience to a truly outstanding standard. I would highly recommend the Elser Hotel to anyone visiting Miami and will absolutely be returning.

Upon check-in, we were informed of a $200 per day security deposit, which was not clearly disclosed during booking. On top of that, about $67 per day is automatically kept to cover amenities like the gym, pool, and Wi-Fi, which I personally feel should already be included in the rate. Another downside was the pool bar. The drinks were honestly not good, we tried one of the tropical frozen options and couldn't even finish it. Also, while not directly rude to us, the server seemed a bit disorganized and made a comment about another guest that came across as unprofessional. Overall, it's still a nice place for a fun weekend getaway, and I would recommend it, but just be aware of the additional fees and manage expectations around the pool service.
