I recently stayed at M Citizen in Brickell and had a mixed experience. The location is fantastic, right in the heart of Brickell, close to restaurants, nightlife, and public transit, which makes it really convenient for exploring the area. That said, the room itself was extremely small. It had all the essentials, but there wasn't much space to move around or unpack, so it felt a bit cramped, especially for a longer stay. If you're planning just a short visit or don't mind compact accommodations, it works, but it's definitely something to keep in mind. The staff was friendly and helpful, which made the stay smoother despite the limited room size. Overall, I'd say M Citizen is a great choice for its location and vibe, but pack light and don't expect spacious quarters.
I booked a one-night stay here before my cruise, I specifically chose this hotel because of its location--and it did not disappoint. The Brickell area is a vibe, walkable and full of restaurants and shops, which makes it a perfect pre- or post-cruise stay. The hotel's proximity to the cruise port was a huge plus. Check-in is self-service, but assistance is available if needed, which made the process easy and convenient. The king bed does take up most of the room, stretching from the window to the wall, so the room feels a bit compact--but it's thoughtfully designed. The sink is located in the main room across from the bathroom, and I actually found the setup pretty functional. The shelves around the sink were stocked with a washcloth, hand towel, hair dryer, and tissues, plus hand soap and lotion at the end of the counter. There was also enough counter space for toiletries. There's an open closet area and a nice touch of wall art, and the laminated wood flooring gave the room a clean, modern feel. One of my favorite features was the in-room iPad that controls everything--such a fun tech-forward touch. I also absolutely loved the decor throughout the hotel. The colors are vibrant, playful, and stylish without feeling overdone. The second-floor seating areas were spacious and inviting, and the rooftop/pool space was another highlight. There's also a bar on the second floor with outdoor seating, which is a great spot to relax and people-watch. Overall, this hotel has a fun atmosphere, smart use of technology, and an unbeatable location. I'd definitely stay here again, especially for a quick stay before a cruise.
Chose to stay at CitizenM as a precruise hotel. The location is perfect...TONS of restaurants, bars and stores in walking distance. It was also a quick ride to the cruise port. I loved the decor, it is very modern and inviting. The main floor is very comfy with tons of seating and outlets. It is a nice space to relax with the bar and restaurant. The staff was also very friendly. The rooftop pool was amazing to hang out in. It looks small but it just enough space to relax. The deck is also very spacious with plenty of seating and a bar. Now the meh.. The room is soo small. The bed is pressed against the window. We had a lot of luggage since we were cruising and it was hard to navigate the small space. Also, we really needed a luggage cart and there wasn't one avaliable. That made it difficult to check in. I was given a small food cart but it didn't quite do the job. There isn't ice available on the floors. I had to go to the bar and get ice which was inconvenient. Depending on the reason for stay, I would stay here again.

The hotel is situated in an excellent location with many restaurants and shops nearby. The hotel proximity to the cruise port was also a factor. My husband and I arrived just before 10 am. As we entered the hotel, we noticed the first floor was not the location of the hotel reception. We slid into the elevator and made our way to the second floor. As we got off the elevator, I did not see the signs pointing to the reception desk. I walked around the corner located the reception desk. I politely asked when I might be able to check in, I was told the hotel had been fully booked due to Valentine's Day the day before, so early check in would not be available. My husband and I made ourselves comfortable on one of the many places to sit. I sat outside on the patio while my husband sat inside. Around 12:30, I went to the front desk to ask if I could do the check in, and have my husband take the keys when the room opened up, because I had an appointment. The young man added my husband's name to the reservation so that my husband could check in while I was away. Per my husband, check in is through the kiosks. As described by the hotel, the "bed won." The king bed takes most of the room from the window to the middle of the room. The sink is located inside the room across from the bathroom. The sink shelves had a wash cloth, a hand towel, the hair dryer, and a tissue dispenser. On the end of the sink was the hand soap and lotion. The sink has counter space to store your toiletries. The closet area has hangers and a lovely wall art. The flooring throughout the room is laminated wood. Over the bed toward the foot of the bed hangs a nice light fixture. There are no outlets near the window. All outlets are by the sink and desk. The desk is accompanied by a white chair with red or orange padding. The chair and desk were comfortable. The iPad which controls everything sits on the desk. There is also a panel by the bed that controls the blind and lighting. The bed was high, and for someone who is 5 feet 2 inches, I had to hike up to get to the side of the window. I wonder how the housekeeping staff are able to make up the beds. The mattress was comfortable. The bed came with 2 king size pillows. The bed definitely needed two pillows. The single pillow per guest was not sufficient. The bed has storage drawers underneath. Adjacent to the sink is a reddish or orangish color bench. The bathroom has the toilet, shower, and towel holder. The towel mat is placed in front of the shower door. The shower size was good. The shower door opened inward. There is a handheld shower head and a rainwater like shower head. The water pressure was great. The gym is small with two treadmills and a few other items. Towels are available. The elevators are very spacious. The elevator music is very good. The rooftop pool has incredible views of Miami. The pool looked great. The bar area is nice too. As a Travel Advisor, I would be mindful as to which clients I would book there. For clients with mobility or accessibility issues, unless they have an accessible room, I would not book them. Climbing over your partner, bedmate, or significant other in order to sleep might be an issue for some people. The height of the bed can be challenging for some guests For cruisers or those with many suitcases, the small space might be an issue. As a Marriott Bonvoy member, I did not see the option to check in through the app, and I wondered if this was the norm. As a traveler, I liked the hotel. I like the decor. I like the use of technology in the room. I like the many seating options available on floors 2 and the rooftop space. The second floor seating areas feel very spacious and inviting. The colors throughout are vibrant and playful. The location is great and extremely walkable.
First two rooms we checked into would not work. Despite 'resetting' the rooms from the front desk, the TV and blackout blinds would still not work. Had to go to a THIRD room. This process took over an hour. The rooms are TINY. Can only get into and out of one side of the bed so my partner had to CRAWL over me to use the restroom in the middle of the night. The shower water leaked out the bathroom and up through the wooden floors IN our room. No place to open luggage or unpack. Not luxury. Not even nice for the price we paid. Beds were very firm and uncomfortable. Would NEVER go back. Not to mention there is no place to get out of a car near the hotel. No way to check in and then park. The parking garage they recommended was a few blocks away and we walked both times in the rain with our luggage.

We had a really nice stay at the CitizenM. The entire hotel was so clean and modern. The rooftop bar and pool were a very cool vibe. The bed and pillows were comfortable. I HIGHLY recommend getting the breakfast -- It was so delicious. Our only issue was that when we were trying to sleep, the TV wouldn't stay off. We would turn it off using the remote control, the iPad, put the room in sleep mode, everything -- But every 5-10 minutes, the TV would turn on and the "Welcome Citizen ____" screen would light up the room while trying to fall asleep. Also it was difficult to request a room clean. We tried to request it on the iPad one morning around 10am, but the message read that all of the room cleaning requests were already booked for the day. Despite these minor snags, I'd highly recommend staying at his really convenient location in Brickell.
Had a great stay here and would definitely come back to any CitizenM hotel! The staff were so friendly and helpful. I loved that we were able to pick between a high or low floor room and pick our view when we checked in. The hotel has a fun vibe and would definitely be good for a solo traveler looking to talk to people. We enjoyed our drinks at the bar and sitting in the common areas. There is also a rooftop pool. The rooms are very small, but they are exactly as advertised. Every room in the hotel is the same which is a great concept! The decor everywhere is fun and vibrant with lots of art. The only let down at the hotel is the gym space. It is absolutely tiny with essentially no equipment. I know hotel gyms are minimal, but this took minimalism to a whole new level. The
Modern hotel located in the middle of Brickell next to Sexy Fish and the metro mover which makes it convenient to get around downtown. The size of the room is relatively small with a king sized bed, table, and vanity sink in the room. The room sort of reminds me of a hotel in NYC and is pretty cramped but makes use of the space. Check in and check out is easy due to the self service computers in the lobby. They also have an all you can eat breakfast for $23 which had a good variety of eggs, empanadas, pastries, salmon lox, and more! It also includes a barista beverage which is a steal considering a latte would normally cost $6. I would opt for the buffet due to most restaurants in Brickell being pricey.
The hotel was nice. The area was amazing. There was shopping and dining in walking distance. The area was busy. There wasn't a drive up area for Uber, but the hotel did have an area to wait indoors. Check in was different. There were multiple kiosks to check in with a person available to help if needed. I don't know how I felt about that though. It wasn't necessarily a bad thing. It just took a lot of brain energy after leaving the airport. I was on the 17th floor. I loved how fun and swanky the halls were. The room was very small but, well thought out. It reminded me of a cruise ship room kind of. I wanted to hate it at first but I surprisingly liked it. They also offered larger rooms. But the small one was fine for a solo traveler. I was in town because I was catching a cruise. I got notified that the cruise was 2 hours delayed because of a storm, so I ended up paying for a late check out. That was 69 dollars plus tax to check out at 2 pm. The only problem I had was they automatically checked me out at 11 while I was in the shower and all of the lights in the room turned off which was kind of annoying. But it was a simple call and they got it fixed. Over all the hotel wasn't bad. There was a rooftop pool which was nice and 2 restaurants I believe. But like I said it was so many great restaurants in the area. I didn't have time to try the ones in the hotel. I would definitely return and recommend.
I haven't stayed at this hotel only had breakfast food from the Too Good to go app. The main issue with it is that there is absolutely no parking because this is in the heart of Mary brickell village. So location wise for a tourist this is great unless you have a car. Luckily there's a delivery lane that allowed my four blinkers on to park and run inside. Lobby is one floor up: staff was super friendly and the bag of pastries and bread was good!
I havnt stayed at the hotel but I stopped in for a flat white and it's absolutely delicious! Very delicious espresso
Reviews are mixed. Many appreciate the vibrant decor and atmosphere, excellent location, and friendly staff. The rooftop pool and bar are also popular.

Citizen M Miami is a very chic, colorful hotel with amazing vibes and staff. Checking in was a little hectic due to the amount of people checking in vs having only one employee during the check in process. Maybe someone called in that day because I felt bad for the young man. Once we checked in, everything was smooth sailing from there. The lobby and bar area were very inviting and everyone I came into contact with was friendly. The room I had was very tiny, but it was just me so I had no complaints. If you have more than one person in a room it will be very crowded as the large bed by the window takes up the majority of the space. This hotel is conveniently located near shopping and dinning and it's close to the cruise port. I'd definitely stay here again. read more

Awesome hotel. I highly recommend!! Great Brickell Location!!!! The rooms are small but they are smartly designed and have everything a guest would need. Great BED and pillows!!!! I stayed at this location for a week and I met all the day time staff- Kat, Alliyah, Josh, Carrie, Kevin, Matt, Jamary, Gata, Alivia, MC, Harvey, Jorge, Jade... they are all so helpful, genuinely kind and engaging. I loved both my pre and post cruises stays at Brickell in Miami. The group of folks that work here are nice and welcoming and ready to help you out. I appreciate the welcome drink even though i'm not a big drinker it's nice to enjoy a drink after a meal. The rooms are small and cozy and i enjoyed them. The breakfast buffet for purchase has decent options. I'm so glad i chose y'all because your doing a good job with providing pleasant customer service. read more

The hotel is clean, affordable and with convenient location for walking to prime restaurants, shopping and clubs in the area. You can select from available street views at check in Chromecast available in the room for watching TV from your apps (not all hotels have this feature) The breakfast buffet has many options and there is a barrista for your favorite coffee drinks Small gym with treadmill and stationary Peloton bike. Small pool -unheated No parking/valet available at hotel No mini bar or microwave in room, minimal as expected for price read more

Very cute and tiny hotel. You do everything yourself (check ins, out ect). Your room is controlled by an iPad, but since it's a little compartment you are bothered when your significant other has to use the bathroom which is 5 steps away in the same room. Location is perfect which is why we stayed, but I'm someone who needs space, so we should have done some more research. I was waking up stuffy all night in a claustrophobic huffy. Lol. I wished the windows opened because I need AIR. read more

So my flights from Medellin to Miami was delayed, to the point that I didn't make it to my connector flight to LA. Upon learning this, I booked at room at Citizen M via the Booking.com app. I was able to secure my room before taking off from Colombia, so I had the peace of mind for those 3.5 hours back to the US. Once I landed in Miami, the hotel was a short 20 minute uber ride from the airport. I walked in, and took the elevator to the second floor, where the lobby was located. They have several monitors, where you can do a self check-in, and have staff available if you need help along the way. The check-in process was quick, and I took the elevator up to my room. The room was decorated in an interesting manner. It had a large bed along the window, it had a very modern artsy feel, and everything was controlled by the ipad that sat next to the bed. I unpacked, and went down to get some water and some recommendations for dinner. The staff at the bar gave me two large glass jars to take up to my room, and they gave me some tips on where to dine that evening. I slept pretty good that night, and took a shower before heading down for breakfast. So the breakfast can be an add-on at check in, or you can pay for it the morning of. And I can personally tell you that the breakfast here is amazing! The Hilton can learn a thing or two from this hotel. Citizen M served actual quality food, in a breakfast buffet that hit the spot well. Checkout was just as seamless as check-in, and I was on my way back home. This hotel exceeded my expectations. This is a great option in Miami's Brickell area. I highly recommend this hotel! read more

This is my second time staying here. My husband and I love how modernized the hotel is. Everything is controlled from a tablet. I like that you can change the color of the light in the bathroom and set the mood with sound. However, the room is compact. The bed takes up most of the room and the bathroom is extremely small. Although we like the hotel, I wouldn't be able to stay more than 2 nights here due to the size. I sleep by the side close to the window and had to crawl over my husband to go to the bathroom during the night lol. Check-in was easy. Everyone at the hotel was very helpful and nice. The bartender were extremely pleasant and a joy to talk to. Unfortunately, i dont remember his name. The drinks were delicious. We love the rooftop bar/pool. The view was amazing. The only issue that I had was the hair dryer in my room was not working. I called the front desk and after at least 20 minutes I hadn't heard a yes we have one or no we don't. I sent my husband down to the desk to ask and he came back and said "you not getting that blow dryer". They looked in multiple places and couldn't find one. The only option would be taking one from a clean room. I was with it. Shoot, I was going to give it back. I stayed last week and the room was dirty and dusty. I requested to clean it, however they didn't do it. When I spoke to the supervisor in charge gave me only excuses and none solutions. Kevin another person here to help, finally solved partially, but the bad experience is there, and isn't definitely what you are not expected in a 4 star category hotel. read more

Overall it's nice little hotel with great location. Room was clean but very tiny. However it was ok because I was there by myself. The service was great. People were friendly and welcoming. The only thing that was a major issue for me it was that the pool area only had 1 working umbrella. It is crazy how they would not provide more relaxed conditions for the guests when it is so hot outside. read more
