Came into Miami for business and we've had a hard time finding our, home hotel, when we're in town and we thought we'd try the EB. Has a distinctly European style to it, but I'll tell you we booked through Expedia and I've got a suite room that had a separate setting area with a desk with two sliding doors king size bed with a decent TV. I will say that the additional sound bar is weird because it doesn't sync up with the TV so you get a little bit of a lag or an echo and the TV doesn't turn up by itself nor does the TV mute and allow you to play the sound bar separately so there's a little bit of a disparity. Also, we had trouble with our air-conditioning, but once I pointed it out within an hour, the maintenance man had fixed the air-conditioning for the whole fourth floor because I was in a room about 15 rooms away from my coworker and both of us had a hard time sleeping last night because the lowest temperature we could get the room was 73 which doesn't sound bad but if you're trying to sleep you need to be in the high 60s. Another weird thing is they don't have a refrigerator in the room, but they have a refrigerator on our bar and so I had to get creative with putting my water and stuff in there to get a cold. I'd rather just have a fridge. But the big one is the shower shower is just amazing. It has as many showerheads as you could ask for I think two on the ceiling for coming out of the wall plus the one that is mounted to a hose. My room also had a bidet, but I didn't give that a shot but definitely would stay here again. We sat at the bar one night and had probably some of the best bar service we ever had a restaurant was pretty decent. Did a separate review for Miranda Mediterranean. The last thing I would say is the mechanism that holds the toilet paper roll in my room was installed upside down so anytime you want to use the toilet paper. It would slide off and go onto the floor so it was installed upside down so some weird stuff but definitely the room itself was cool. read more

We overnighted for a couple of nights at the EB at Miami Int'l Airport after a recent trip to the Keys.... The hotel and room are nice, "European-styled" architecture... hence the name. Room was spacious and very comfortable... bar area lively in the evening. We had a King Suite! Service generally good throughout the hotel .... EXCEPT the front desk, both staff and managers. I advance, I purchased as advertised "romance package" upon arrival, sparkling wine, roses and chocolate-dipped strawberries to be in the room. Upon arrival, nothing in room. I visited with the evening manager, and all would be fixed the following day. On Day 2, I stopped by the front desk to confirm all would be fixed that day. When we returned in the evening, the flowers showed up, but no bubbles or chocolates. I re-visited the front desk again the evening, and they were bewildered that things still weren't right. I went to the bar myself the retrieve the bottle of sparkling and glasses, the chocolates were to be delivered to the room. When the chocolates did not arrive after a couple of hours, I returned to the front desk yet again, to be told the kitchen was closed, so no chocolates that night. We checked out the next morning, having never received the full package. I was promised a call by the front desk manager, which never came. Total fiasco! Clearly, hotel managers are delegating responsibility for getting things done, not taking ownership interest in guests issues to solve them. Very disappointing ... we won't be back! Easily the best hotel experience I've ever had in southeast Florida. Where to begin? The staff was amazing. They were all so friendly and welcoming and made me feel like an old friend. The public spaces are gorgeous, lots of marble flooring, grand windows, and soft music. They clearly take great pride in the appearance of the property. The room was gigantic, it felt like a palace. Wonderful dark toned furniture complemented by soft light lighting and little glass and brass touches. The bed includes a remote control for finding your target softness or firmness - very nice! The shower was an experience unto itself. Beautiful gold fixtures surrounded by lovely tiles of various colors. There were three different options including rainfall and massage - all with great pressure. Lovely bath products too - very nice smelling! Parking was ample and included in the cost of the room. I also enjoyed how well outfitted the gym was, lots of options including a well maintained treadmill. On top of all this - the room rate was very reasonable, almost cheap, lol. This hotel is a hidden gem in a more industrial part of Miami, just 5 minutes from the airport. They offer a super easy to use shuttle service 24/7, with friendly and professional shuttle drivers. The check-in process was super quick and smooth, which I especially appreciated after a long day of travel and arrival after 2:30 am. I'm a bit of an anxious when staying in a hotel alone (I've watched too many dateline episodes ), but was quickly put at ease with the safety measures, including a required keycard before using the elevator. Unbeknownst to me until I opened the door, I received a free upgrade to the deluxe room, it was incredible!! The room looked like a 1 bedroom apartment, with a huge bath area, large bedroom, large living room/ office space, and large windows. The bed was comfortable and adjustable to a preferred firmness. The bedding was soft and plush. There were many different lights and settings, allowing individual preferences. The shower had two rainfall shower heads, a handheld shower, and 4 adjustable jets aims at the back. The toilet room had a toilet and separate bidet, a rarity in the States! Everything was very clean, well maintained, and well stocked. The customer service was top notch. Every staff member I encountered was friendly, professional and attentive. They kindly allowed a later checkout at 1 pm, and offered me use of the pool after I checked out and was waiting to meet a friend. I didn't use the pool, but checked it out-- it was clean and had a lot of lounge chairs. The two people swimming said the water was perfect. The only potential downside to this hotel is the proximity to outside food and other activities (there is a restaurant and bar onsite). A rental car or uber/lyft/taxi is definitely needed to get to other places. I was so comfortable (and tired), I opted to stay in and order from a local restaurant (Carrot Express was delicious!). Just a heads up if you order delivery-- the delivery person will not be allowed to go upstairs as that is a protected area for guests. The front desk happily received the delivery and made it accessible for me to pick up. I would absolutely stay here again. 10/10 read more

Outstanding! I walked into the lobby and was instantly impressed!! I felt like I was in a different country! This isn't the typical airport hotel! This is luxury at a reasonable cost. Not only is the hotel beautiful, the customer service was exceptional. And on top of that, the hotel restaurant was amazing. I enjoyed my stay so much I didn't want to leave! Ha! From check-in that took over 20 minutes because the reception was trying to find me a room - to walking into a room that had a heavy smoking scent smell - to the air system in the room not working - to grabbing dinner at the hotel restaurant where the food was awful (but service was great) - to coming back to go to bed to seeing curly hairs on the bedsheets. I had to book a spot for a meet up during happy hour and it was nearby the original location . The bar staff was able to accommodate me and my guests in a jiffy. The space is so comfortable! This is a charming hotel just a couple of miles from the Miami airport. It's very modern and our room was clean and very nice. We could see the airport runway from our room but couldn't hear the planes whatsoever. I heard and felt a rumble once but the windows must be triple-paned because I slept like a baby. There was plenty of parking outside. I really enjoyed our stay here and wouldn't hesitate to return. If you want or need a hotel near the airport, this is an excellent spot. read more

Don't judge a book by its cover. The airport shuttle van and outside view of the hotel looks pretty basic, but wowie once you step into the hotel you are taken to a different place that was unexpected. It is a diamond hotel, and definitely reflects that in the hotel stay. CUSTOMER SERVICE I've called and spoken with front desk staff for different reasons prior to the stay and I will say they could use some re-training. Their phone hospitality/professionalism was like I was talking to someone who works at a Budget Inn. They didn't have direct answers to questions, and didn't seem interested in assisting me based on their tone of voice. I was reluctant of staying here based on these interactions, but the family reunion I was in Miami for all were staying here. AIRPORT SHUTTLE As the hotel website says, you can schedule in advance or just call their number once you arrive and let them know you're ready for pick up. It's complimentary and once you walk outside from the arrivals you walk to the shuttle pick up area which is clearly identifiable. LOCATION The hotel is literally across the street from the Miami airport. There is also a Wells Fargo ATM next door. Along the street are a couple small restaurants, gas station, which you can walk to, but because they're spread out I rather drive to. ROOM The room is luxurious with marble floors, beautiful bathroom area with a bidet toilet, the shower is large with a seat and has multiple shower heads including the one above your head, a couple pointing at you posted on the wall, and you have control over which shower head you want to use. The furniture has light fixtures that are movement activated so in the middle of the night if you need to use the toilet, it lights up. I appreciate this detail. The bed has a remote which you can adjust the back settings to sit up like a hospital bed. Bed and pillows were comfy. A/C worked fine for us but my family had rooms where the A/C didn't work. Wowie. Beware of the mini frig and coffee/snacks on top! All items inside the frig and on top are weight sensitive and will charge you upon picking up items. If you do this without knowing (like I did as the front desk staff upon check in did not communicate this), you can let the front desk staff know up on check out. Overall the room was great during our stay. read more

I don't know how this restaurant made it on the top 4.2 list garbage. Pasta was supposed to be macaroni and cheese and it was just cheese and milk and maybe three shells Caesar salad OK but adding to meet you got like three little pieces, no flavor and overcooked. Location. Right by the airport however, the parking they tell us to go all the way in the back. There's minimal lighting and homeless people who have set up camp at the Wells Fargo. It was scary walking back there they didn't even bother to tell us where to go. . Then we have the blood splattered headboard that we discovered in the wee hours, and then we had to get up to leave the bed asleep on the couch is even more disgusting . We were stuck over night In Miami. American Airlines set us up here. I'm always hesitant when this happens. EB was a surprise. The rooms are beautiful and the shower area is as big as some rooms at chain hotels. Comfortable beds, wonderful 10 head showers, business planning stations, and lots of natural light. Don't be sad if you have to stay here. The grounds are welcoming. The staff for the most part speaks Spanish which I watched slightly frustrate an older couple. But someone stepped in. Interesting experience. I stayed here with a large group before we departed for a cruise. Booked my room separately from the group and paid separately. When I arrived to check in, I also checked in on Yelp and received a free upgrade. The lady at the front desk informed me that I wouldn't be able to use the upgrade as I didn't book the room myself but with the group. I'll let her know that I booked and paid separately, and she told me to calm down and then proceeded to say she will let me do the upgrade, but typically they wouldn't allow it. I was shocked at the way she spoke to me and how she insinuated I was not calm. I simply and calmly explain to her that I was indeed calm and showed proof of my separate purchase and booking. Her attitude continued as we checked in and even when we checked out. Later that day, we went to the bar to have a drink and a good amount of our group was there. I overheard the bartenders and waitress speaking in Spanish, using derogatory and racial slurs towards the people in our group. Very upsetting and unsettling experience. The room was the only nice and pleasant thing about our stay. If it wasn't for the horrible customer service I would stay again, but it's clear that me and my kind were not welcome here. read more

I have asked the front desk @ebhotelmia 4 times politely to stop calling and sending people up to the room. Since then 2 housekeepers and 3 calls. I asked them to stop calling because I was experiencing sensory overload. Next a housekeeper comes and searches our room because a "silent smoke alarm" signaled the front desk. Not only was it awkward, it was an invasion of privacy that caused me to go into further panic causing three pretty violent panic attacks . Having to disclose that I have a mental illness in order to be taken seriously was humiliating.. So I get to the front desk and I'm explaining that I'm in distress.. takes 30 minutes to talk to a manager.. Their solution: give me back my incidentals comp that horrible breakfast pictured and they will have corporate call me.. yea right. The rooms were beautiful but the piss poor customer service isn't worth the hassle. Don't stay at @ebhotelmia if you have a disability as they don't not care. read more

I stayed at this hotel for 3 days and spent well over $1500 just for them to completely ruin my taste on my final day, the staff to harassed me constantly about checking out a little over an hour late even AFTER I got charged a late fee? Between 10:50 AM and 11:50 AM they sent FIVE different people to my room. One of which was a Male security guard. One by one they proceeded to enter my room even once while I was in the nude because I just left the shower. None of the housekeeping speaks English so communication is zero. The man on the phone at the front desk was extremely rude and trying to start an argument with me after they had already charged me the late fee. He thru insults that I was "arguing with him like I was his mother" while I'm trying to explain to him that I'm trying to get in my things to leave. He also completely ignored when I told him !SECURITY/housekeeping/staff walked in on me naked and proceeded to stand there and asking me what time I was leaving. Why are they harassing me after I've already paid for my extended time? I have a strong feeling this hotel is strapped for money which is why they nickel and dime their guess at the end. read more

Unfortunately my flight was canceled around 10 PM and I was able to call, speak to a wonderful gentleman at the front desk whom was able to not only secure a safe room for me (single traveler), but also honor a AAA discount! Restaurant staff and food was insanely good, Yuri was a standout individual from my stay and definitely turned my terrible situation around with warm conversation! I stayed in one of the suites, place was immaculately clean and came with pressed sheets (if you know, you know!). Fridges are stocked with a mini bar and snacks for purchase but I'd skip on those and absolutely make time for the in-house restaurant and bar. Food was incredible, kitchen and bar open until 11:30 PM. I had such a great time from the moment I arrived to the moment I left, thank you EB Hotel for an amazing stay! read more

This hotel was FANTASTIC! We actually didn't stay here, which is a bummer. (The lobby was gorgeous!!!) But, we did use the hotel to store our luggage due to our flights being later in the evening. (We used Stasher.com) Not only did they store our luggage, but offered a shuttle to the airport for free when we returned! Elby was our driver and couldn't have been nicer. "Hotel was very nice and will stay again. The main disappointment was after a very long flight, the front desk agent refused to let me in to my suite because I arrived within an hour before my check in time. I told me that I needed to wait in the lobby for another 45 minutes or pay $50 for an early check in..I did pay the extra $50 as I understand there are rules and I was tired and didn't want to wait in the lobby for an hour, however, I feel sometimes, though that the desk agents should be empowered to show some discretion particularly when it was not that the suite wasn't ready, but simply that he needed to wait an hour before he could check me in because that is normal hotel check in time...It would seem to me, that having a guest sit in the lobby for an hour half asleep and miserable, or letting me go up to my room should have been something he could have had the discretion to make a logical decision. It's not like it is was 4 or 5 hours before check in .The irony is that my flight this morning left at 11:00 am so I was out of my room at 8am, 3 hours before check out time. Of course, I didn't stop the front desk to ask for a refund for checking out early....The only other issue was that I paid for 2 nights of parking but could only find parking the first night because on the second night there was some type of event going on and the lot was full on so I had to park my rental car on one of the side streets. Had I known the area well enough, I could have done the same the night before and avoided the parking fee. I think if the hotel is going to charge for parking there should be enough parking to accommodate their guests..Other than that, I was only there for 2 days but I was impressed with the physical hotel and its amenities and of course, proximity to the airport.
