There are a few organizations that host such parties here (at the time of this writing, a couple nights I particularly enjoy are the monthly Salaholics and Noche Divina socials). The space itself is very aesthetically pleasing, thanks largely to the nicely done ceiling drapery, the dance floor is great, and there is plenty of table seating (with white tablecloths... classy!) around the perimeter of the floor. The parking situation perhaps isn't ideal, as flow into and out of the grass lot across the one-way street can be a little awkward, but it's not a big problem.

He took time out of his extremely busy schedule to make sure I had all of my questions answered and even set up meeting times so he could give me his undivided attention. I had approximately 130 invites sent out, note that Club Tropical can fit that many people more than comfortably and you'd still have plenty room for a dance floor. Elvis coordinated the 3-course Haitian Caribbean meal. My family is Haitian-Bahamian and the feedback was the food was spot on! I'd agree with that sentiment, the food was delicious! He took his time in going through decoration options down to the dinner napkins and what was all included in my top package. Not only decor, but the floral arrangements were included and coordinated too. He was such a blessing in helping me honor my mother's life I am forever thankful for him and his team! He exceeded my already high expectations. Elvis added extra pieces to my event that truly set it off and set it a part. My family said it will be a night they will never ever forget and they're so glad we didn't go with a traditional funeral. Special thanks to his event coordinator, Caroline, who basically waited on me hand and foot as the host to make sure I could do what all I needed to do as smoothly as possible and that the event transitioned perfectly. I couldn't have asked for a better celebration with any other venue. You want a one stop shop, come to Club Tropical and use their caterer Broward Catering.

I wish I could give this place 10 stars!!!…read more Kat was amazing with the coordination of my mom's party from start to finish! I came across the banquet hall after a google search when I decided to transition from my original idea. I emailed and was able to see the venue the same day. I instantly fell in love! It had the intimate feel that I was looking for. We had to put down $1000 and set up a monthly pay payment plan with the final payment due about 3 weeks before the party. A cash deposit of $500 must be turned in by 48 hours before the party for incidentals but as long as you don't mess up anything, you will get your money back. All of the logistics are detailed in the contract that you must sign to eliminate any confusion or misunderstandings. From start to finish, Kat and I developed the perfect party for my mom. She made sure that we covered every aspect and a few days before we did a final once over for the party. Yesterday was the day of the party and everything ran so smoothly. About a week before, Kat developed a timeline for the party and it was followed to the T. EVERYONE at the party raved about the decor, the food and the venue itself. It is the next day and I am STILL receiving complaints about the hall. Kat and staff - I can't thank you all enough for making my mom's 61st birthday so memorable! You have definitely gained a new loyal customer!

La vie En Rose is conveniently located in Miramar, Florida. The location is off of 441 and Pembroke…read moreRd. I chose this location because it was ideal since the majority of my family and friends live 15-20 minutes away. In addition, I chose to have my wedding here because this location can accommodate both a wedding ceremony as well as the reception. My wedding coordinator, Kat, was a pleasure to work with and she will try to accommodate your wants and needs. The menu options that were offered were okay. I did not like that we were not able to taste test the food that was paid for and as a result, I was very disappointed in the food that was served at my wedding (embarrassed actually). There is not an option to bring your own food. You are allowed to add food to the menu for an additional fee of $75 per pan. Although you are allowed to provide your own alcohol, you must pay a fee of $150 to do so with the limitation of 10 bottles. I had a total of $85 guests. We spent many months preparing for the design of the reception area. A few days before the wedding, I was notified by Kat that their "design team" did not approve of my design and there were changes made that I did not authorize. In the many months we spent planning, I had never met this "design team". The designs that are offered by the venue are basic, and any additional designs you want to add need to be "approved" by this "design team". I spent hundreds of dollars of my own money to provide additional decorations so that the reception area did not look plain. I booked the limo with La Vie En Rose. On the day of my wedding, I was to be picked up at 4:45pm and dropped off at 5:00pm. Unfortunately, the limo company that they work with had some last-minute changes and a staff member of the banquet hall had to pick me up. I did not get to the wedding until 5:30 which was a problem because they charge $75 for every 15 minutes pass 10:00pm (the end of the reception). With me arriving 30 minutes late, my entire wedding was pushed back, and the whole wedding was rushed. I was upset that I was being rushed since the venue was late picking me up. No one ever offered to give me an additional 30 minutes toward my wedding, even though they were late picking me up. A cash deposit of $500 must be paid 48-hours before the wedding, it will be refunded, if there are no damages made. You must also completely vacate the reception area at 10:00pm sharp. Funnily enough, the Dj will play songs that will get the guests dancing at this time. I had to personally go to the Dj booth at 9:50pm so that he could stop the music because I did not want to be charged an additional $75. One of the groomsmen threw up in the bathroom, and my father cleaned it up. They still charged $75 although we had cleaned up the mess. Last but not least, there was an altercation (nearly a physical fight) between my sister-bridesmaid and their bartending staff. Although I provided and paid for the alcohol to be served, the rude bartender (staffed by the venue) refused to service my sister-bridesmaid. My guests had to break up the altercation that was caused by their bartender. Their bartending staff was also hustling my guests for money, and my guests were coming up to me asking me: "why is hustling me for money". I was very embarrassed, and in the end the bartender was removed, but the damage had already been done. Overall, I would give La vie En Rose a 6/10. I want to thank the Olga's staff because if not for them it wouldn't have been nearly as special. Speaking of special, Wilfred, Juan Carlos and his team went above and beyond to help make everything perfect. From the time they gave us to set up, the friendliness and patience of his waitering staff and the bartender and specially the DJ. He was one of the most talented DJ's I've ever had and I've have been hosting parties at Olga's both personal and professionally for over twenty five years. He accommodated our own playlist for the entrance and dinner and then spun 80's, 90's music for our older friends and nailed it with the young crowd with the latest hits that they love. At Olga's one feels like they are dealing with family. They are so accommodating and professional that planning a party is a pice of cake with no stress. I don't typically leave reviews to criticize businesses, but rather to bring awareness so others can make informed decisions. Unfortunately, our experience had a significant issue that needs to be shared. During the wedding rehearsal on Thursday, the venue was extremely hot. When I asked a staff member about the air conditioning, I was told that nothing was wrong with the system and that it simply hadn't been turned on prior to the rehearsal. We were reassured that everything would be cool and comfortable on the day of the wedding. However, on the actual wedding day, both the ceremony and reception were just as hot--if not worse. There was no effective air conditioning. It became so warm that the bride's cake actually started to melt. The staff attempted to help by setting up a couple of fans, but with over 150 guests in attendance, this was nowhere near sufficient. We brought the issue to the staff's attention again and were told it would be addressed, but unfortunately, nothing changed. Because of this, I feel it's important to share this experience with future couples considering this venue. While it is undeniably beautiful, please book with caution. Your guests may be extremely uncomfortable due to the heat. Given the cost of renting this space, working air conditioning should absolutely be a standard expectation.

The ceremony took place in a room covered in chandeliers- I loved it! I will say that the place is small but for a wedding with less than 100 guest I thought it was perfect. Cocktail hour was amazing. They offered countless of drinks and appetizers. The room where the reception was taken place was also decorated nicely. Now onto the bad, the bathrooms need improvement and should've been cleaned before the event took place; it was truly disgusting. The food that was offered was cold and bland but that's wedding food for you. I'm sure the DJ and photographer came with the ballroom but we just were not impressed with the Dj song selection.
