I have been here a couple times over the years. One time was for an event and another was to get some drinks. I remember enjoying the experiences. It is an upscale experience. Well, I came back on Sunday for a mini work event. I wasn't here more than an hour. I will be back today and I am looking forward to it. The hotel has amazing views. They also have a very nice restaurant here. I do remember the pool area being so pretty. There is only valet parking which I find to be a negative. The conference room we were in Sunday was comfortable. I am making a presentation to 50 people today so hopefully I will still like it as much. Wish me luck!

I love, love this hotel. I've stayed on numerous occasions -- both for work and pleasure. The entry is light and airy. It feels like you're IN Miami, if that makes sense. It's sexy and sleek. There's a top-notch sushi restaurant inside (I've previously reviewed) where they play live electronic-dance music in the evenings. Rooms and Accommodations: The rooms are nice and spacious. Room service is great too. There's also a rooftop bar that allows pool access. All-in-all, I love my experiences at the Kimpton Epic

FIVE STARS! EVERYTHING WAS SPECTACULAR AND IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. The staff went above and beyond for the holidays. The restaurant had a great wait staff and accomodations due to my allergens. I loved most the complimentary wine during my check-in, which is available from 5-6pm, and the coffee bar in the mornings that also server hot cocoa. This hotel is simply a vacation away from home that truly gives resort vibes without the added fees. Several local restaurants in the area off Biscayne that are within walking distance and the most beautiful view of the Miami River DEFINITELY COMING BACK!

When we first arrived at the hotel they were serving welcome drinks in the lobby. Pleasant start to the check in process. The ambiance during the festive season with the Christmas tree up was nice and inviting. I loved that the lobby is spacious and clean. Our room was wonderful. I appreciated that there was a bathtub and a standing shower. All the amenities provided were excellent quality. I'll definitely stay at this hotel in the future. Good location too!

Overall I enjoyed my stay at the Kimpton EPIC hotel. The room was clean and I enjoyed the balcony in the mornings and night. Elevators were pretty fast as well so you're not left constantly waiting. The gym was a decent size with clean equipment which is on the same floor as the pool and spa. Guest services were quick to bring up extra towels and hand soap. The opening from the bathroom to the actual room I find to be odd since you can hear someone shower/bathe since it's only covered but a pull down curtain. Unless you're staying in a "honeymoon suite" it's kind of useless in my opinion. The first night we got in a little later than expected, and the restaurant had closed at 11 which I thought was a little early for Miami so we were directed downstairs. It turns into a very "night club" vibe with a pretty strict dress code. It seemed like a lot of people that are not guests or residences go to and which we were not dressed for. With that said I was able to hear some outside noice from 1 am - 5 am between guests in the hall and after market exhausts.

Be careful not to pass it when pulling into the main entrance--big entrance and spacious. Don't rush if you are waiting for the valet to retrieve your car, as it took over 15 minutes after requesting it via the link sent via text. Easy process checking in. The front desk person had a bit of an attitude, but it could be due to the time of day. You need a room key to access the elevators. The room was nice and clean. However, the shower pressure was not great. Nevertheless, the view outside the room was awe-inspiring. And it's pretty spacious outside as well. The bed was very stiff and hard, and there was no alternative in the closet for non-feather pillows. And the pillows were so flat very uncomfortable for a night rest. No ice machine that I could see on the floor, the refrigerator was stocked so I did enjoy a drink. Room service menu was pretty good. The value is high for the quality of the room and bed. But it's in a great location walking distance to Whole Foods.

Such a great location near Bayside Marketplace and the cruise port. We stayed here as part of the Amex Platinum fine hotels program. $200 refund on the room price and $100 to spend at the hotel. They let you use the $100 toward the parking fee. Parking is crazy expensive but it's a right in downtown Miami. We were surprised that they charge tax on the parking and resort fee, so over $100 just in fees on top of the room rate. The hotel is so pretty and all the staff is friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

Excellent front desk experience. My sis spoke to gal so I didn't get her name she's pretty has Italian name parents came from Italy? She couldn't have been nicer very professional! Room was very clean good size large bathroom. I couldn't use shower as I couldn't get water in my eye and it was big rain showerhead! I was also afraid of tub being sight impaired can't remember if there was grab handle but quite high tub! Very quiet room but I'd suggest high floor as there's lots of loud traffic if u r facing road which wasn't a problem! We were high up great view anyway at night. It was free room for me they ihg credit card and was very happy with it. Usually free rooms are in dumps so I was very pleased! Breakfast no charge was excellent. Service with Juan he's perfection!!! Good latte great fruit cup etc. my omelette was way too done for me but the rest was excellent I'd probably just order eggs! We really were pleased staying here. We have stayed at intercontinental before but wanted to try this liked it better! Great walking path.

Cute hotel, cute location, and cute amenities! I love Kimpton brand hotels and this suite did not disappoint. The room was spacious and clean with a comfortable bed and living room. Staff were also lovely and we had a perfect view of the city. I will definitely be back.

Great hotel, high quality, good service, very comfortable, great views from the balcony, nice spacious room! Came to Miami for a 3-day business trip and our work meetings were in the same hotel so it was very convenient. The 16th floor has a lounge restaurant and opens out to the pool area with tables and also a bunch of little alcoves with couch seating - really beautiful and nice. Every evening they have a complimentary wine in the lobby at 5-6 pm. The rooms don't have coffee makers and they don't provide those but they provided us with a kettle to boil water for tea. They have complimentary coffee and tea downstairs in the lobby every morning. We had dinner at the restaurant on the 16th floor one night. Food was good and so was the service and the ambiance. It's in a convenient location to the city center. We went to the Putt Shack one evening and then dinner at Italian restaurant Bellilos nearby. Overall great experience in this hotel.

The "goodie bag" items I was offered for the poor service.

Over the weekend of February 21-22, myself and a group of other women were guests at the hotel, celebrating a friend's bachelorette weekend. As a group we booked 3 rooms, a private yoga class, and 6 spa treatments. Our massages were booked for the afternoon on Sunday February 22nd. 5 members of our group were called back for their services while I remained in the quiet room waiting for my service. After 15 minutes past my service time, I entered the spa lobby area where I encountered one of the front desk workers. She let me know that she would be contacting someone to determine what the delay is. Another 10 minutes pass without anyone speaking to me. Once the front desk worker returned she let me know that my massage therapist was stuck in traffic and they were unaware when she would be returning. At the time they informed me that I would still be receiving my full service along with a complimentary add-on for the inconvenience. Around 10 minutes later (now 30 minutes past my appointment time) the massage therapist arrived and called me back for my treatment. We briefly spoke about what I was expecting for the treatment and the massage therapist stepped out of the room. I removed my robe and began to get under the blanket on the table when someone began knocking on and opening the door to enter the room. It was the front desk worker who asked me if I could return at 4:15 pm (3 hours later) for an "extended service". I asked her if she meant foregoing my current massage to come back then. It is only then that she informs me that actually they would only be able to honor "around 30 minutes" of my original treatment and so they were offering me to come back for more time. As this was a group event, our group had already checked out of our rooms and we were leaving together after our massages so I declined that offer. As a reminder, I am already undressed and on the massage table. The front desk worker then advised me that she apologized for the situation, the manager was fully aware of the situation and I would be receiving a FULL refund for my service because of the inconvenience. Thus I decided I would stay, receive the 30 minutes and leave with my group. As we were leaving, I asked the front desk if they required anything else from me (in order to process the refund) They handed me a bag with an opened body scrub, 3 perfume sample, 4 Hershey's chocolates and a $50 credit. I accepted the offer of good faith assuming they would like to ensure that I would return to the spa. A week later, I had yet to receive my full refund, so I called the spa to ensure they had my correct information. It was the that I spoke with someone named Amelia. Amelia informed me that she could not give me a full refund because I had received "half of my service". I kindly explained to her that I had been told that I would be receiving a full refund which is the ONLY reason I decided to stay for the treatment. As a reminder I was already UNDRESSED and on the table when I was told this information. Rather than apologize for the inconvenience and honor the full refund that I was given Amelia was rude and combative and informed me that there was nothing to be done. She emphasized that they gave me "a nice goodie bag and a credit". I would not have accepted this offer for an opened scrub and small items I did not want had I been informed of the situation. It was only at this point that the refund was even processed. It is abundantly clear that the spa would have never even processed my refund had I not decided to call. Given the amount of money that our group spent at the hotel, it is unacceptable to not only NOT have the situation remedied completely but also to have such rude and incompetent customer service. As a Miami native and local, I am highly disappointed by my experience. I am not looking for gifts or credits or anything additional from what I was offered, which is a full refund for my service.

I stayed here for a quick trip to Miami and loved it. The location is convenient to everything Miami has to offer (little Havana, Wynwood, and obviously Brickell). The hotel is modern and clean with great amenities including a rooftop pool, two restaurants and a wine hour. The rooms are large. I stayed in a king suite and loved the size of the bathroom, the balcony and mini bar. The staff was very helpful and they were able to accommodate both an early check in and late checkout. Will be staying here again

If you were traveling for work and staying at this hotel, and needed a day to just forget that everyone existed, this would be great for that. My friends and I flew down from Richmond during a crazy winter storm and decided to get a day pass here among other things. The day pass included spa access during their open hours, as well as pool access. Unfortunately, because of the unseasonably cool weather, the hotel had not opened the pool which pretty much made the spa the only option for anyone else who had purchased the resort pass too, and I'm just not sure the facilities were up to that task. The spa itself had a relaxation area, which was three lounge chairs in the room with a hot tub and a cold tub. In the room next to that, there was a dry sauna, a wet sauna, and a shower. I'm not a huge fan of the dry sauna, dry heat isn't really my thing, but I did rather like the wet sauna room. It was nice and large, and the hot steamy air felt great on my poor frozen winter storm lungs. The cold plunge pool is also not my thing, but the hot tub was awesome, but it had a couple of pretty huge problems. The first was that it was up a flight of stairs. Everyone in our party has limited mobility in some fashion and One of our party uses a walker and isn't super mobile at all, so it was very difficult to actually make it to the hot tub. Might have been nice to know it wasn't actually accessible before we booked the spa. Luckily, even though she isn't super mobile, she is able to haul herself very slowly up stairs, provided it has a nice sturdy railing... Which it did have a railing... unfortunately the railing was completely loose at the bottom and not particularly sturdy since it was only partially connected. It had stone steps, and due to the nature of the room, they were a bit wet so they had nonskid stickers on them, but it had unfortunately peeled up and was mostly loose. Ultimately, our friend ended up using us as the steady banister to get up the stairs, but that probably wasn't any safer since it wasn't like we had anything to hold onto because again... slippery stairs and loose banister. We made it up safely, and then try to get in the hot tub. The tub itself is square, has a ladder railing, but we couldn't actually see any ladder steps, so we kind of had to guess where was safe to get in the pool. Being the most mobile of the group, I ended up sitting on the edge of the tub and feeling around with my feet until I figured out that the tub has three walls with stone benches around it that we could step on and get in. We only actually figured out after getting out that the pool had sunken footholds in the wall, not an actual ladder. Never would have found those getting in, but learn from our ignorance. The hot tub is awesome, the jets were great and absolutely the thing we needed after the plane flight and freezing winter storms, but everyone else felt that way too, so we were unable to get back in it again like we would have liked. We ended up heading out earlier than we intended and just sitting outside for the rest of our stay. Overall, the place is small, which makes it hit or miss as to whether or not you can use the facilities, which makes it hit or miss as to whether it is a good value for the day pass. You may luck out, or you may strike out.

Food is not allowed in the spa but there's a few options in the beautiful Eden Roc hotel, from full on restaurant, to small plates at the bar lounge or Cafe Ines for a happy medium. A word to the wise: the spa is under renovation so sometimes some of the amenities are not working (hot tub, sauna, etc). If you don't want to be disappointed make sure you call ahead and ask. The other highlight was our massage experience, Eddy, my technician was extremely professional and talented, the best massage I have ever had, so thank you, Eddy! Lastly, the person who scheduled our services over email, Karla Gutierrez, who was very professional and capable. What did not work: Upon checking in, the lady at the counter (in the spa) was unable to provide a breakdown of charges and had a hard time establishing eye contact. Maybe assumptions were made, which is the only explanation I could come up with based on her behavior. Ultimately I gave up and asked for a receipt. My questions were simple, I paid in advance (a deposit) how is it applied? Do they take off the difference? Or do they reimburse and charge again? She was unable to answer. I have her name in my receipt, but I chose to omit it as anyone can have a bad day. My guest and I proceeded to compare facilities with other well known spas: Lapis at the Fontainebleau and Tierra Santa at Faena- which charge similar rates. Let me tell you, the Standard is very subpar in 1) hospitality and 2) Vibe and decor. The standard's decor is art deco and while I understand the look, the place just seemed old. There is only one station for hair drying/makeup in the locker room, the water in my shower was cold, although my guest's was fine. The Hammam stone was use for towel storage as you will see in picture. No guest is shown in the image and I decided to take the picture because I could not believe it and for this review. There was constant walking in and out of the Hammam (by the staff) to replenish, you guessed it, towels, which made the experience far from relaxing. For the price I was expecting much more. We ended up leaving early without using all the services, but we did walk to the sauna, which seemed nice, but it was super full, and the ice room, which was underwhelming. We will not return, hopefully they can give this place a make over and the staff some training.

There are also cold and hot baths, a sauna, steam room and ice room in the spa that you can use before or after your spa service. I 10/10 recommend the standard for your next spa appointment. It's a little pricey but worth it and as I mentioned you get to use other hotel amenities as part of this cost.
