Happy hour

We are not outside often, but it was nice to have a big balcony with an ocean view'. During our four night stay, kept waking up with bed bites... my feet, legs, arms, and chest! No mosquitos or bugs on the 21st floor, on our balcony. Maybe saw a hornet or bee once, that's it.

This hotel was one of the best experiences in my life! Situated in the heart of downtown Miami, this is really where you want to be. The views are breathtaking at night and equally as beautiful during the day. We checked in on Friday afternoon, and they have early check in times as well as late departures. The customer service here is incredible, everyone is very accommodating and treats you like royalty. Your vehicle is immediately handed off to valet as soon as you pull up, and if you're into car spotting like me, you'll see some of the most spectacular cars and supercars here. They usually park one of the exotics in front of the hotel, so every time we were coming and going I would always catch a glimpse of the beautiful cars parked around the property. There is also a stunning yacht right outside. It's a roundabout entrance and you get off right in front, the valet is super great and convenient. The location is PRIME. It's directly across from the Kimpton Residences and very close to other hotels and areas of interest. It is a luxury hotel and it fits up to that standard. As soon as we checked in we received a beautiful tote, and some goodies as well as vouchers for the bar. They have a lobby bar as well as in room, and of course room service can be ordered. Zuma is located on the first floor of the hotel so if you're craving some high end Japanese then it's conveniently right there. We were situated on the 20th floor with ocean views so the room location was immaculate. I loved the view from the terrace and can look directly at the pool as well as capture a stunning city scape at night. During the weekend, there is a pool party so loud music is playing for most of the day so keep that in mind- but I liked the vibes so it was just adding to the already incredible experience. The room was extremely clean, all the linens were very good and the shower was a waterfall shower which felt like a true spa experience. You also have the option of a spa here, and the room service was great too! Ordered the avocado toast and iced coffee and pancakes and everything was actually quite impressive for a hotel. The lobby also always smelled amazing, some scent was wafting through it and it was mesmerizing. I loved the convenience of just pulling up to the hotel and valet handling everything, everyone is super friendly and welcoming and the hotel overall exceeded my expectations. Anytime I'm in Miami this will be my go-to spot for sure! HIGLY recommend

I have been here a couple times over the years. One time was for an event and another was to get some drinks. I remember enjoying the experiences. It is an upscale experience. Well, I came back on Sunday for a mini work event. I wasn't here more than an hour. I will be back today and I am looking forward to it. The hotel has amazing views. They also have a very nice restaurant here. I do remember the pool area being so pretty. There is only valet parking which I find to be a negative. The conference room we were in Sunday was comfortable. I am making a presentation to 50 people today so hopefully I will still like it as much. Wish me luck!

I love, love this hotel. I've stayed on numerous occasions -- both for work and pleasure. The entry is light and airy. It feels like you're IN Miami, if that makes sense. It's sexy and sleek. There's a top-notch sushi restaurant inside (I've previously reviewed) where they play live electronic-dance music in the evenings. Rooms and Accommodations: The rooms are nice and spacious. Room service is great too. There's also a rooftop bar that allows pool access. All-in-all, I love my experiences at the Kimpton Epic

Overall I enjoyed my stay at the Kimpton EPIC hotel. The room was clean and I enjoyed the balcony in the mornings and night. Elevators were pretty fast as well so you're not left constantly waiting. The gym was a decent size with clean equipment which is on the same floor as the pool and spa. Guest services were quick to bring up extra towels and hand soap. The opening from the bathroom to the actual room I find to be odd since you can hear someone shower/bathe since it's only covered but a pull down curtain. Unless you're staying in a "honeymoon suite" it's kind of useless in my opinion. The first night we got in a little later than expected, and the restaurant had closed at 11 which I thought was a little early for Miami so we were directed downstairs. It turns into a very "night club" vibe with a pretty strict dress code. It seemed like a lot of people that are not guests or residences go to and which we were not dressed for. With that said I was able to hear some outside noice from 1 am - 5 am between guests in the hall and after market exhausts.

Be careful not to pass it when pulling into the main entrance--big entrance and spacious. Don't rush if you are waiting for the valet to retrieve your car, as it took over 15 minutes after requesting it via the link sent via text. Easy process checking in. The front desk person had a bit of an attitude, but it could be due to the time of day. You need a room key to access the elevators. The room was nice and clean. However, the shower pressure was not great. Nevertheless, the view outside the room was awe-inspiring. And it's pretty spacious outside as well. The bed was very stiff and hard, and there was no alternative in the closet for non-feather pillows. And the pillows were so flat very uncomfortable for a night rest. No ice machine that I could see on the floor, the refrigerator was stocked so I did enjoy a drink. Room service menu was pretty good. The value is high for the quality of the room and bed. But it's in a great location walking distance to Whole Foods.

FIVE STARS! EVERYTHING WAS SPECTACULAR AND IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. The staff went above and beyond for the holidays. The restaurant had a great wait staff and accomodations due to my allergens. I loved most the complimentary wine during my check-in, which is available from 5-6pm, and the coffee bar in the mornings that also server hot cocoa. This hotel is simply a vacation away from home that truly gives resort vibes without the added fees. Several local restaurants in the area off Biscayne that are within walking distance and the most beautiful view of the Miami River DEFINITELY COMING BACK!

When we first arrived at the hotel they were serving welcome drinks in the lobby. Pleasant start to the check in process. The ambiance during the festive season with the Christmas tree up was nice and inviting. I loved that the lobby is spacious and clean. Our room was wonderful. I appreciated that there was a bathtub and a standing shower. All the amenities provided were excellent quality. I'll definitely stay at this hotel in the future. Good location too!

Such a great location near Bayside Marketplace and the cruise port. We stayed here as part of the Amex Platinum fine hotels program. $200 refund on the room price and $100 to spend at the hotel. They let you use the $100 toward the parking fee. Parking is crazy expensive but it's a right in downtown Miami. We were surprised that they charge tax on the parking and resort fee, so over $100 just in fees on top of the room rate. The hotel is so pretty and all the staff is friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

Came here for the Pool250 event for Independence Day with my friend, FeiFei. Drinks poured with a heavy hand, but there is a mandatory 22% service fee for drinks, which are paid by tickets. $5 each ticket and 3 tickets for each drink. Immensely expensive. Pool was nice, but I wish that there was a hot tubjacuzzi. Lots of staff around to host with drinks, music, and hygiene. The bathroom was so clean, too! Just not that much parking outside, which was not too much of a mind for us because we rode via uber to and from this location. Pool is on the 16th floor, which was a stunning view with the skyscrapers and the waterfront. Mandatory $25 admission to this event if you are not a hotel guest or resident here. No reentries :( the couches and chairs reserved only for those who paid, which was not made clear with any signs. Security guards had to notify themselves about that. Also, staff should be on same page on where to find food and drinks then how to pay for them if someone wants them.

Baby gecko in our room

The service has been very mid. Check in is at 4 and not a minute sooner. I asked for an early check in before our trip and they said they could not guarantee it. Got here and they said there was no chance for an early check in. It was so hot the day we checked in so we sat in the lobby until our room was ready. We say hello or good morning to employees when walking by and nothing is said in return. During our pool day we asked Uriel to open to umbrella. He said there's nothing the umbrella will do because it's hot and the sun is directly facing us. There was another man next to us that wanted the umbrella opened and Uriel just walked away. Juan on the other hand was very pleasant and friendly. So we ordered our food and drinks through him. There was a baby gecko in our room... very strange. Overall service was ok but we definitely were expecting so much better and friendlier service for the price.

Our waiter was excellent as in the best you can get!!

Excellent front desk experience. My sis spoke to gal so I didn't get her name she's pretty has Italian name parents came from Italy? She couldn't have been nicer very professional! Room was very clean good size large bathroom. I couldn't use shower as I couldn't get water in my eye and it was big rain showerhead! I was also afraid of tub being sight impaired can't remember if there was grab handle but quite high tub! Very quiet room but I'd suggest high floor as there's lots of loud traffic if u r facing road which wasn't a problem! We were high up great view anyway at night. It was free room for me they ihg credit card and was very happy with it. Usually free rooms are in dumps so I was very pleased! Breakfast no charge was excellent. Service with Juan he's perfection!!! Good latte great fruit cup etc. my omelette was way too done for me but the rest was excellent I'd probably just order eggs! We really were pleased staying here. We have stayed at intercontinental before but wanted to try this liked it better! Great walking path.

Walking distance to a Publix, the mall, bakery, etc. The hotel checkin is on the 6th floor, the first floor is mainly a seating area and concierge. They offer free hot breakfast, mini fridge and microwave in the room, cruise shuttle at time of this review is priced at $12 with pick up times at 10a, 11a, and 12p. If you miss breakfast, they had breakfast bags with fruit and other grab and go items. You will need your room key to access the laundry room and guest floors. There is no carpet in the room I was in (basic king- not the elite level) and pets are not allowed. Service animals only. The hotel has a lobby bar, three restaurants are located right next door (Sproutz, Batch Gastropub, and Shahs of Kabob). I dined at Sproutz and Shahas of Kabob and both are good, but they are not affiliated with the hotel. I stayed 3 nights prior to my cruise and I really enjoyed my stay. The air conditioner worked with no issues, pillows are very soft, bed was firm, but not uncomfortable and I slept better in that bed, than my own. There is a master light switch to control the overhead light in the entry and bathroom. You can operate them separately (it just takes some flipping of lights to figure it out). Decent water pressure and nice, hot water at night. Morning time I suggest getting your shower in early. Hot water is still present but not as hot as it was the night before. Tip- I took my shower at 5/6am the morning of checkout and the water was hot and perfect for a nice shower before leaving for cruise. Staff was always smiling, friendly and willing to assist. Carlos at the concerige desk is very helpful, ask for his recommendations and he is more than happy to assist. The 7th floor has the laundry facility, but many machines were out of order. This is going on my pre cruise hotel list because it was the perfect hotel and the perfect location. It was about a 15min ride to the cruise port and airport. The cruise port ride was booked for 8am, so I beat the 9am bumper car cruise port traffic. The video I posted is short and quick, but a glimpse of the room

I checked in on the app the day before and picked the room. We parked in the garage, went to the lobby, and got our room keys. It turns out that the app was glitchy and we were put in a different room number. The lady behind the counter made adjustments and we were able to stay on the same floor as what I originally picked, but in a different room. The room had a king bed, a fridge, microwave, a TV, drawers, and a bathroom with a shower. It was very clean. We got two drink vouchers to redeem at the lobby/pool bar, which was a plus, to enjoy while we were at the pool. The hotel has a fitness center as well. The continental breakfast provided a selection of coffee and juices for the beverages. The food items consisted of a waffle bar, different types of pastries, and breakfast foods to choose from. They offered a little more than some of the other locations I have been at.
