I booked the hotel for 3 nights, the room was okay. If your looking to stay in Mid-Beach I would recommend this hotel. They serve free breakfast from 7am-10am. It is a 3 min walk to Mid-Beach, and public transportation is around the corner on Collins Ave. read more

L Hotel Miami - Standard King Room - Hotels Near Me - Miami Beach, Florida

L hotel is a newly renovated boutique hotel located right on Indian creek and the 41st causeway (mid beach). Perfect area that is close enough to everything but just the right distance away from the south beach madness. There are neighboring hotels and restaurants and the causeway is right there so you can walk to shops and a Walgreens on Arthur Godfrey Drive. The hotel is very cute, small only 3 floors. All the rooms are new with amazing beds, flat screen tv, and nicely done bathroom. All very clean. We decided to book on a whim during food and wine festival and got a really good rate. I don't agree with the $10 per night resort fee because I really don't think this hotel can be considered a resort, there's not even a pool. But they do keep the property nice and they offer free breakfast consisting of bagels, muffins, coffee and OJ from 7 to 10am. Everything was great with the stay except for my only caveat, the air conditioning. All the AC units are controlled by the front desk and say restricted in the digital screens in the room. You need to call front desk in order to turn on the units and they control the settings as well. At times the unit would turn off on its own and you would need to call front desk to restart. I didn't like that. At one point we returned to our room and it was a sauna. I think as a guest, we should have control over the temperature and whether we want our unit on or not. That's just standard in most hotel, motels, etc. I can see this as an issue in the upcoming summer months. All in all, enjoyed the stay and do recommend the hotel. It really is great for location and you definitely get that lux feel. read more

L Hotel Miami - Cute updated bathrooms - Hotels Near Me - Miami Beach, Florida

This placed saved my Miami vacation. I had a week booked at a neighboring hotel. The power went out and never came back so I had to find an escape. I found a room available at L Hotel that's where I went. Great choice!! The first thing I noticed as I entered was the smell. Clean! Good location to the beach and restaurants. I dropped 1 star because the site I booked mentioned breakfast and an indoor restaurant which it didn't have. read more

Beautiful modern aesthetic for a boutique hotel just one block from the beach. It provided us with comfy pillows and a bed during our post-cruise stay in Miami complete with basic toiletries and an in-room safe. A continental breakfast is served 7-10AM in the lobby so for this night owl who needs coffee first thing in the morning, it was much appreciated. Bagels, fruits, and cereal were a bonus that held us until our lunch plans. As they say, location is key. Situated just a stone's throw away from Ocean Drive, Washington Blvd., and Lincoln Drive, taking an Uber or Lyft to these places is cheap and convenient. You can also enjoy the boardwalk if you wish to take a stroll as that is practically behind the hotel. We checked-in well before 3PM but the staff albeit unapproachable, made sure our room was available within an hour of arriving there. 3.5 stars rounding up! read more

The space: Prime location for Miami Beach. The hotel was cutely decorated and clean inside. It is smaller than your standard hotel in terms of lobby area and breakfast area. There is a small short term parking area in front where you can park for less than 30 min to unload your bags. Room: I just needed a one bed king suite and it suited my needs well. The room was modern and up to date with a new AC unit. The bathroom was a little on the smaller side but everything looked very clean and newly done with up to date appliances like the shower. Unfortunately, I could hear the guest upstairs very loudly so that was the only issue I had but the room itself was nice. Price: When I booked I didn't realize there would be extra fees such as a one time $15 resort fee and $34.99 valet parking fee per night. I was only there for less than 24 hours so it's a shame I had to pay a resort fee for something I didn't use. Breakfast: Served every morning from 7-10am. It's a very bare bones breakfast consisting of cereals, bagels, croissants, muffins and apples. They do have coffee (yessss), OJ, and milk as well. read more

Nice old style Miami hotel! Walking distance to the 'Miami beach'. They rent beach chairs and towels. Walking distance to restaurants and shops. Front desk clerk was friendly and helpful with questions about the area. Our room was 107, nice art deco style. Room was clean and modern. *Only complaint was the A/C was not ice cold. (But that might not be a problem for others...we like it cold to sleep...) We would stay here again if we visit! read more

Probably more like a 3.5. Spacious and clean rooms. Only two blocks from the beach and the front desk will provide you with free beach towel, beach chair and umbrella if needed. Continental breakfast was included but repetitive (bagels, muffins and some cereal, no fresh fruit etc) the garden in the back is small but really cute and quiet. Valet parking is available and cost about $34/day which is on the higher end but worked pretty smoothly for us. The area around the hotel is not super exciting but the are some good breakfast and lunch spots across the river. Also, Soho house and fountain blue is only a few blocks away. If you're looking for a break from the craziness of South Beach, this area is a good option! read more

Rooms were clean but small. Front desk was very unhelpful and rude (not just to us, but to many people it seemed like as we sat in the lobby). We left our bags at checkout because we had several hours to waste before our flight. Instead of locking them up somewhere, they left them unattended in the lobby. They were also left behind a wall such that the front desk person couldn't see them. read more

The hotel is clean and adequately sized. We stayed the night for a cruise the next day... the A/C didn't work... which being in FL - made for an uncomfortably warm night trying to sleep without sweating... for this reason alone, they failed... I also don't get that warm fuzzy feeling of genuine hospitality from the staff... they seem cold and uninviting... as if they couldn't care less if we ever returned... hopefully their breakfast is as good as their website claims... I'm glad we're only staying here one night... and yes, it's 2:20a and I'm writing this review because I didn't want to wait to have more bad things to write about... Why didn't we just stay at a Marriott or Hilton property??? read more

Very quaint with Fast Friendly WiFi! Bedroom clean and comfy. Continental breakfast was mostly carbs and average coffee..But the staff makes up for it with their efficient and kind service. We stayed at this Hotel during covid winter we stayed in a beautiful room on the first floor over looking the garden. The room had an industrial bar fridge, a huge bathroom large Plasma T.V cable with every channel. The room did not come with a heater only an A/C although the front desk were always able to offer extra blankets for the room.. The L Hotel offers free breakfast between the hours of 7am through to 10am which can be muffins, bugles croissants, cereal, coffee, apples, orange juice. The L Hotel offers a huge garden area with chairs and tables for eating outdoors or even enjoying the ambience. They offer beach chairs, beach umbrellas, towels and free cold water from the bar, which can be taken with you to the beach. The L Hotel is walking distance from a Subway, Walgreens, sixth rental, the fontainebleau, and the free bus which can take you up to sunny isles or down to south beach. Highly recommend Excellent Location!!! Big shout out goes to Mickie front desk manager and her amazing front desk team members, Saleem, Sebastian, Nicole, Giovanni, Luis, Pablo, you guys are amazing you made our stay. Thank You read more

We stayed for four nights and had a wonderful experience. The front desk employees are exceptional, especially the girl that worked mornings and afternoon during weekdays. Everyone was so friendly and approachable and willing to accommodate every request - from a later check out to needing to store a few items in the refrigerator upon checking out. The hotel itself is very clean and housekeeping did a great job daily. The proximity to the beach and the large hotels/resorts is so convenient. If you wish to escape the South Beach craziness but still be in the middle of everything this place is for you. Fontainebleau is a 5 min walk! There's a Walgreens a few minutes away as well that's great for stalking up on water and carries everything from snacks, to beach supplies, to whatever necessities you may need. They also give you towels, beach chairs, and umbrellas that you can easily carry and return once you're done. If you want a full out lounge chair without having to carry anything, the guys working on the beach offer discounts for those staying at the hotel. The only down side is there's not too many food options in the area, but that's nothing to do with the hotel. We ended up going to Shepherd Coffee most days for good healthy breakfasts/smoothies, which was a 15 min walk. read more

What a cute little hotel! Located 1.5 blocks from the beach, this is the hotel to be if you want to stay close to the night life and walking distance to the beach but far enough not to hear the ruckus of it all! The room we selected was a room with a King Bed and boy was it the perfect size and clean! It is a modernized hotel with a small lobby that hosts both the reception desk and sitting area but turns into a little cafe with tables and fold up chairs in the morning for guests! (The hotel has complimentary breakfast) The complimentary breakfast wasn't as I expected. We were given 2 choices of cereal, bagels, and blueberry muffins. Refreshments included water, coffee, milk, and orange juice. Breakfast was "served" between 7am and 10am and the hotel lacked plates and bowls for the breakfast. For a small hotel, with not many rooms or people, I have no idea how at times we would need to wait 3-5 minutes for someone to bring out 2 plates for the entire room! Also.... if you don't put a sign "please clean this room" no one will clean it! Which we only found out about when we got back from the beach in the evening and our room was still dirty. No one told us about the sign, nor was it easy to find in the room! I rate this hotel 3 stars because: 1. Clean bedroom and bathroom 2. Close proximity to the beach 3. Complimentary beach towels, beach chairs, beach umbrellas 4. The cleaning sign was a hassle to remember as every other hotel I've ever stayed in, the room was automatically cleaned when you would leave the room 5. Small/Cheap breakfast options read more

This place is the worst place on the beach to stay! These people are soulless assholes. First we get here the woman at the front desk had a complete attitude. Next we asked was our available she gives no answer because she was on her personal phone. She finished her convo and then addressed me hotel. com quoted me a price and guaranteed it. The woman at the desk gave me another price I told her what hotel.com gave me she says that's not their price and start giving me all these hidden fees! As I called hotel.com she quickly cancelled my reservations, but before she did that she CHARGE MY CARD!! $600 I had to wait 5 days to get my money back! They completely ruined my trip to Miami! DO NOT BOOK HERE!! They don't give a damn about people!!! read more

Other than an incident during checkout (hence the 2 stars) this place is great for the price. Excellent location, courteous staff, clean and renovated rooms, and simple but filling breakfast. I left my phone charger and wooden docking station (a local artisanal piece from Portland, OR) and when I came back to get it only the charger was there. The front desk staff did their best to call around but it was nowhere to be found. Won't be staying here again. read more

Small intimate hotel which I found to be BIG on service. Ash, Bridgette and Hosea were friendly and helpful. With their help, I used local transportation to sightsee in Miami, South Beach, Miami Acquarium, etc. Hotel room was really clean and my floor was quiet. Served coffee l, juice and cold continental breakfast. I brought my own food and was able to easily microwave lunch/dinner when I didn't eat out. HUGE per: they supply free beach towels, beach chairs and umbrella for all day use at the beach - 1 block walk away. If I had rented it would have been $30bucks a day. The beach wasnt crowded at all, hotel is near great places to eat and a local 24hr Walgreens. As a female traveling alone, I felt very safe in the hotel and the neighborhood. They are literally on major bus lines and trolley (free) lines which made my stay very convenient. I had a super sized luggage bag and Uber was $10 to airport. The staff is what makes this little hotel a gem. read more

This hotel is so beautiful. I'm glad we picked this one. From the moment we first arrived we were greeted by the front desk girl, (i forgot her name) but she was really sweet and helpful. I would rate this a 3.5, my wife would rate it lower. Bottom line is that it was clean and comfortable with disappointing service and good location. Overall not nearly as good as the typical chain hotel that we stay in (e.g., Marriott, Holiday Inn Express, Marriott Courtyard, Hyatt Place, etc.). Location was good, right at 41st street (main thoroughfare) and Indian Creek (another main thoroughfare). So street noise is a factor, and hotel is set up to minimize the street noise. Temporary parking while checking in was fine, hotel charges $35 for valet parking, so we left the car at our friends' house a 15 minute walk away. Once you are at the hotel, it is so easy to walk anywhere or to rent the Citibikes that are ubiquitous and easy. Hotel seems recently renovated with attractive lobby where they serve a good continental breakfast (coffee, juice, cereal, pastries) on nice plates/utensils (not just plastic), all good not great quality. Hotel has a small "garden" in the back that is hardtop on the ground, some plants, some ok seating, and a small enough space that it would not occur to us to go back there and spend time. Checkin/checkout were no problem. Desk staff were sufficiently friendly but not warm or interested in us; such personalized service is supposed to be the hallmark of smaller boutique hotels and was distinctly lacking at this one. Nobody knew our name or asked it, nobody seemed the least bit interested. I've had much more personal attention and friendliness at a chain hotel. Room was clean, pleasantly decorated, had a comfortable bed, working air conditioning with some small buzzing but nothing too distracting, small modern bathroom with small but decent shower, all the soap amenities one would expect. Very little counter space in the bathroom or in the room itself, no desk for example. So if I was visiting on business, there was no place to work. Internet worked fine, good speed. There was a comfortable arm chair with foot hassock, but no other chair in th room. This made me wonder if our room (107) was an overflow room not really designed for guests. Our first night/morning we were awakened at 6:15 AM by our next door neighbors who seemed to be a couple with a small exuberant child. I could hear every excited shriek by the child, every clearing of the throat by the father, every admonition and negotiation. It was crazy. Kept me up until they left for breakfast at 7:15 AM...and it was great until they returned to the room at 7:39 AM. Fortunately they checked out that day and we got a solid night's sleep that night. So walls are a bit thin. Also the room above us, I could hear when the occupant got up to walk around the room in the middle of the night, each step reverberated. It's worth asking whether the people next door and above have children, walk around during the night, etc. The evening we returned home after checking out, I discovered that I had left a shirt and slacks hanging in the closet. Despite the hotel having my contact information, nobody had called or emailed me. When I discovered it, I phoned the hotel at 11 PM and was told to phone back the next morning after 7 AM to housekeeping. When I repeated this back to him, adding a pregnant pause so he would realize how ridiculous it was for him not to offer to pass along the information himself to housekeeping, he said Yes and hung up the phone. I called back immediately and asked him to pass along the info. He said he would. The next morning I phoned at 7:30 AM and was told housekeeping doesn't come in until 9 AM. I left my information again. Then I received a call at 8:30 AM from Housekeeping, told they had my clothing, and that I could pick it up at the hotel anytime. Again, pretty ridiculous, don't they know that hotel guests come from other cities and countries? I asked whether they might mail me the clothing, they said they would and a few days later, the clothes showed up. Very much appreciated! I can easily see staying here again because of its great location and pretty good accommodations. With the many competitor lodging options available in the immediate area, I might try another place next time and then return here. read more

I was skeptical of booking the L hotel as there was not much information online; but I am so glad we did! The hotel is EXACTLY like the pictures and the staff was very helpful. They accommodated everything we asked for; including silverware and a place to hold our bags after checkout, while we waited for our flight. Although we were on the first floor, the room was very quiet and had everything we needed. The location was perfect far enough away from the crazy of south beach; but only a short uber ride away. There were plenty of restaurants within walking distance and a block away from Liv! We thoroughly enjoyed our time at L hotel and would return. read more

This is an older hotel that has been refurbished. The rooms are clean and up to date. The rates are more than reasonable for being 2 blocks from the beach. It's located on a busy road with traffic noise most of the time. There is NO place to park so you're pretty much forced to valet. Wifi is terrible. The staff are very accommodating and friendly. There is no restaurant at the hotel but there are many within walking distance. If you're on a budget for vacation it's not a bad place to stay. read more

This was a wonderful find. We loved our stay at the L hotel. Everyone was so helpful and accommodating. The hotel is clean and wonderfully renovated. The continental breakfast was included in the stay which we felt was a bonus. The hotel is just a quick walk from the beach and the hotel supplied us with towels, chairs and an umbrella. I booked this hotel absolutely last minute for 1 night stay. Front desk girl was very nice and answered all my questions. The maid left a bunch of dirty rags next to the TV in my room, I was way too tired to let the hotel management know. When I got in my bed, there was a piece of chip under the blanket so it's a safe bet that the sheets have not been changed after someone slept there. Again, I was way too tired to complain I just wanted to crash there and be on my way in the morning. Free breakfast offered was continental. It's 7-10am, when I got there at 8:30am coffee was already finished and not refilled. I ate a bagel with cream cheese and had a cup of orange juice. Beach is a short walk away and there's also a Walgreens about 5min walking distance away which is nice. read more

This hotel is super cute! Love the decor and love that it is quaint. The housekeeping is on point and responds very quickly. The location is good but not great if you are trying to be closer to south beach and don't want to walk 30+ min. I will say the downfall are the employees who run the place and work at reception. Horrible horrible service. Not very welcoming whatsoever and it was our 1st trip to Miami! I also left behind something in the room and called to ask if they have it and they claimed they might not but they will check and call me back and they have not gotten back to me. At this point I'll consider it stollen. Any respectable establishment that finds a persons belongings should call the number they have on the reservation and return the item to them. What a shame. I would suggest this hotel if you want a super cute boutique hotel with very lack luster staff. read more

I had a conference in Miami and when I looked at the reviews for the conference hotel, I knew I needed to stay some place else. I looked at a ton of hotels and many of the hotels in the area were expensive and had dirty rooms. I was so pleased to find this hotel. The hotel was extremely clean and the price was reasonable. There were quite a few things I liked about this hotel. First, I really liked how modern and clean the rooms were. There was also a huge closet in the room, which was nice. The breakfast was simple, but it was nice to have a free breakfast available each morning. Plus, the muffins were delicious. Finally, one of the staff at the hotel was super helpful one night. My roommate had a terrible migraine and this individual went out of his way to get ice for my friend. I really appreciated that. The reason I'm not giving this hotel 5 stars has to do with the other staff I interacted with both during check-in and check-out. During check-in, the staff member was insistent that I had not booked a room there. It took him over 15 minutes to find my reservation (and it was late at night--so that added salt to the wound). The staff member at check-out was more helpful and competent, but a little curt. Other than that, no complaints and I would definitely recommend this hotel to others. In fact, I plan to stay here next year when I'm in town for the same conference. A great price, with some breakfast items, and a clean room can't be beat! read more

The worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Giving 2 stars instead of 1 because this stay was during Covid. $200 surprise deposit upon arrival. No valet parking as advertised and not allowed to park in the few spaces in front of the building (although some other guest were apparently allowed to). I guess it depends on who you are. We got a "deluxe king" room which is supposed to have mini bar and espresso machine. Espresso machine was removed. Extremely low volume limit on tv. Limit of 75 on AC as well so don't expect to come back to a cool room after walking around Miami. The entire 7 days was a struggle to get towels and toilet paper. When maid service finally came, they did a half assed job and left my daughters toothbrush on the TOILET and did not replenish towels or toilet paper. Reception is seemingly bothered to have to do anything or answer any questions. Room decor is decent and the view was nice. The walk to the beach is convenient. One night a guest came running into the lobby in just a towel panicked that the guests in the neighboring room were "killing each other". No beach chairs or umbrella as advertised. Would not stay here again. Their suggestion for the parking was to park in a paid garage 15 minutes away. Why would we park 15 minutes away when we chose the hotel based on close proximity to the beach? read more

I do not recommend this hotel. Front desk customer service was the worst I received during my recent vacations in Miami. Thank God I only stayed 1 night. They are not friendly nor helpful whatsoever with the exception of the lady that takes care of the breakfast section. Also, the bathroom is so small and the parking overnight charge is way to expensive. I believe the prices of their room should be less. PS: I did like the room decor and the bedding. read more

My friend and I were pleasantly surprised how great this hotel was. The hotel is newly renovated, decoration is cute and it was clean. The staff at the front desk was great; especially Rodrigo who was very friendly and very helpful. On our last day we had a very late flight out of Miami and we have asked if we could get a room to freshen up and take a shower - after all we spent the entire day at the beach. Especially since our room was not cleaned the day before. Ash, the manager gave us a room to freshen up. This made all the difference. I can only recommend this hotel. Convenient location and great price. It even included continental breakfast, got our day started on a positive way. read more

The decor of this hotel almost made me want to rate it four stars, I was very impressed by it. It's very chic and modern. But I was highly disappointed about the fact that they have NO mirrors in their hotel rooms which is nonsensical and inconsiderate of women guests. That's a pretty big deal, as two females literally had to delay a few plans because we had to take turns using the tiny bathroom mirror. The people at the front desk were nice and seemed really positive, but they could be more helpful. My debit card was incorrectly charged and when I called someone about it, they said I had to wait until the next day to talk to the manager. I thought that was very unprofessional. But overall, the hotel was really clean and in a convenient location. I would consider staying again only if they remember that they have women guests and update their rooms with the proper necessities. read more

Don't stay at this hotel if you plan on being part of a bachelor/bachelorette weekend, girls or guys weekend, if you're a spring breaker, or celebrating a birthday weekend. Stayed here for spring break with three other girlfriends and any hint of a noise we made (even just a laugh or two) was heard through the paper thin walls. I try and respect people around, but also ITS SPRING BREAK IN MIAMI. So if you want a hotel to some reason actually rest in while in Miami...maybe go somewhere far from South Beach. The staff was decent, one night desk associate was rude and always caught him sleeping on the job....literally. One young man with short hair was very helpful and polite, so he deserves five stars. Parking was ridiculously priced for a place that doesn't even offer parking for paying customers. AND THEN-the rooms which are adorable, HAVE ONE TINY MIRROR IN THE TINY BATHROOM. There were plenty of places in the rooms to have a decent sized full length mirror. I mean they're ten bucks at Walmart. The place should use the parking money that they rip you off with to splurge and buy some full length mirrors. As well as extra blankets. The beds come with two sheets for sleeping comfort with one extra blanket in the closet. And when asking the front desk guy for an extra one he looks at me in disgust and says they don't have extra. I've worked in the hotel world. Every hotel has extra blankets, pillows...etc. Only reason I'm giving this place two stars, was for the location...it's perfect and for the one nice young gentleman who worked the front desk. Wish I knew his name, because he deserves all the stars. read more

What a pleasant surprise this Hotel was for my 30th Birthday! This was my 3rd time visiting Miami & I've done the Ocean Drives and Tourist-y things before so I wanted to just relax this time around so I chose a hotel that was away from the noise but still felt like "Miami". After reading many other reviews, I thought that this was a perfect choice! So glad I booked it because it was the best boutique hotel I've stayed in to date (& I've stayed in quite a few!). It was about a 30 minute ride from the Airport & a smooth parking right in front of the hotel parking space by the entrance. You can't help but notice the beautiful view of the palm trees and water directly across the street. Once arrived, we checked into the hotel with the kindest concierge who explained everything to us (this was the Afternoon of May 5th). The lobby was so pretty and the ambiance was exactly how I like it: Pretty Decor and Peaceful. The room took the cake for me! It was the BIGGEST Single Bed room in a Boutique Hotel I've ever seen! How pleasant! There was a mini kitchen area, closet space, 2 chairs, big comfy bed and a flat screen! Definitely could've moved in. The icing on the cake was the VIEW! That beautiful view I spoke of earlier was the exact view out of our window! How lucky was I to wake up to it on my Birthday. There was free Breakfast in the Morning and the Housekeeping service was always on time and didn't disturb. The ONLY con I have with the hotel was the beach setup! The chairs and umbrellas were real rinky dinky that we had to carry ourselves the 2 blocks to the beach. Carrying it wasn't the issue but the fact that we wanted to lay out comfortably under a large umbrella was the inconvenient part. We had to end up paying for and chair set up at that was next to the open space where many other L Hotel guests were struggling to relax under their non-sturdy umbrellas. If they invested in better beach equipment, they would be PERFECT! Overall, I'm already planning my next trip there! read more
