    Steph's Sampler

My husband and I enjoyed brunch around noon. We only waited about 10 minutes for a seat. We ordered the Steph's Sampler. We were a little disappointed in the pancakes. They were a little over done and did not have much flavor. A touch of vanilla or sugar in the batter would make it taste better. The side items were excellent! The atmosphere is a typical diner. Wasn't too loud and were able to have a nice conversation.

9/11/25 After a hospital visit, my husband and I stopped at Echo for breakfast. I ordered the eggs Benedict with hollandaise sauce and the country boy style. Both tasted good and were prepared well. My husband had Steph's Sampler and added bananas and chocolate chips as toppings, though we later found out that came with an extra charge. The pancakes themselves were okay, but a little underwhelming. The staff were very friendly and polite, and I appreciated how quickly we were served, and able to get out. The place is very mom and pop feel. Overall, it was a decent breakfast and convenient stop, but nothing that stood out enough for me to want to make a return visit.

This was so good!!!! The food was very classic diner style in the best way. The customers are an older crowd, but definitely returning visitors because the staff knows a lot of their names. The ambiance was very cute and I will definitely come back here :)

Great food! The portion sizes were nice and the service was quick and friendly. The small shop vibe was nice too. Everything on the table was great tasting. I will definitely swing back to The Echo

Excellent service, great location and delish food! The feel was friendly and it appeared to have many regular customers. The server was helpful in narrowing down my options. The service was fast and the food was so good. Loved the photos and history displayed on walls - so fun! We will be going back soon!

A side of gravy to go with the business man's special. Tasted straight southern! My granny would be pleased!

What a fun nostalgic stop with banger grub! Came in just after opening on a Sunday. Attentive service and a wide varied menu. Goetta of course, we are in the city of Germans! The table ordered the business man special with a side of (incredibly tasty)gravy. Where is the white bread from? It was delicious and perfectly buttered! (I'm not sure I've EVER felt that way before! It was sheer butter ratio perfection!) good selection of jellies, outstanding coffee, and the really good crunch ice!! Fast service, fun atmosphere, clean! Oddly, they don't put creamer out so you have to ask each time you need creamer after a refill. Our table also had a 7:30 am tuna melt with chips and a coke! Next level!! Cheesy, salty, crunchy! Best tuna melt you ever had! Guaranteed!! Again, ugh That heavenly bread!

The echo is a staple among the local Cincinnati folk, but does it live up to the hype? Ample street parking. Although busy, there was minimal wait on a Sunday brunch, quick service at the counter. Food was reasonably priced most dishes topped out at $14. Had their most popular "hot mess" which was just an amalgamation of different breakfast items thrown into a plate. Food took 20 minutes to come out. This dish was truly a hot mess but as a whole surprisedly went well together. The eggs were cooked perfectly as scrambled medium but unseasoned, the gravy was pretty bland and thick, the bacon was chopped and plentiful and semi crispy, sausage bits added a earthy texture to the dish. The potatoes were cooked appropriately but unseasoned. Overall, it was okay but I would try something else next time. Old fashioned diner vibe and was relatively clean. Personally there are better brunch places in Cincinnati, but if you're craving simple ingredients and reasonable prices I can see why you would come to The Echo.

Stopped in for lunch and it was exactly what we were looking for. Small local diner full of regulars and quick food. The dining area was clean and our server was friendly. The food was average but it's what we expected. The potatoes could have been better than typical frozen ones. The omelette was large and filling but I was disappointed that the sausage was more like ground beef rather than breakfast sausage. Overall, good option for breakfast on this side of town.

I decided on this place due to its closeness and decent reviews. Upon entering me + guest were not greeted. They have a "sit yourself" policy. The 2 booths to the left were full of dishes and needed cleaning. About 2 minutes a server came from back to cash out her customer and stated we can sit next door, more booths ready 2 go. Ok we did. We sat at a large booth, big enough for 8 folks versus 2 but ok. A nice guy named Tyler arrived and greeted us and said he'll get our beverages then food order. His name should be thunderbolt. As soon as u requested something he acknowledged u and got item in less than 30 seconds. I ordered the create your own omelette(broccoli, turkey sausage, mozzarella cheese w/rye bread & home fries which was rather tasty & coffee. My guest had an omelette w/tomatoes, home fries & wheat toast which he liked as well. Tyler was the gem here. Would have given 5 stars but during busy time they didn't have someone to clean those tables costed them a star.

Wonderful service, usually a line to get a spot but moves quick! This is a spot that's been around forever and will stay forever. Amazing meals!

Always a must when I am in Cincinnati! The classic diner feel right as you walk in! We were seated right away and got a cute little booth in the back. The food was amazing as always!!

Best breakfast in Cincinnati, hands down. The line is usually long, but it moves quickly. Food is always amazing and the servers are great.

The food is outstanding across the board--from the steaks to the cheese sticks--but the real star is their bread pudding. It's absolutely worth the trip from anywhere in the tri-state area. Parking is also easy and convenient, with a garage right across the street, as well as their own lot and additional street parking. Highly recommend if you're looking for a great meal and an even better experience.

They have a charming patio at the back of the interior space as well. I didn't realize they have their own lot, but in case it's full, there is plenty of street parking nearby. The service was excellent. Our server was very attentive and kept drink refills flowing. We ordered the pretzel and beer cheese and the poutine for starters. The pretzel was huge and tasty. I didn't care for the beer cheese, probably because I was expecting a more solid cheese product. I would describe this more as a cream sauce. It didn't seem to have much cheese in it and was very 'liquidy'. Also the ramekin was only half full. If it had tasted better, I would have asked for more, but as it was not, we didn't even finish what was given. I thought it was a bit pricey at $12.95 for one large pretzel. On the other hand, the poutine was fantastic! A very unique take on the dish with a mix of cheese curds (although they reminded me more of pieces of mozzarella sticks), french fries and Andouille cream gravy. I ordered the fish tacos which consisted of Blackened Salmon, Thai Chili Sauce, Black Bean Corn Salsa, Pico de Gallo. My order came with two and they were fantastic! Since Blinkers is known for steaks, I will have to give them another try at dinner time.

Normally, I find hotel food is just okay and nothing special, but Coppin's was a pleasant surprise. We were greeted by a very friendly hostess, and our equally pleasant server quickly brought menus and asked what we would like to drink. When it was my turn, I happily ordered Coppin's Old Fashioned. I was the odd man out because everyone else ordered the Spring Manhattan. Judging by how quickly everyone's drinks disappeared, I'd say they were all very tasty. I was a little unsure about mine at first, so to make sure the quality and taste were consistent, I ordered a second, and it definitely was not a mistake. I ordered the B+G biscuits (which are made by hand according to server in the hotel) and gravy with an extra egg. Others at the table chose a variety of dishes, including the CVG, Cobb Salad, Bagel and Lox, and several other selections. Based on the clean plates all around the table, everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. My wife ordered a sample of banana bread, and I was fortunate enough to snag a small bite, it was excellent. After we had all finished, everyone agreed that my niece had made an excellent choice for her graduation celebration brunch. As my wife and I made our way back to Louisville, we both commented that we would definitely return the next time we were in Covington.

Going back and forth on stars for this one. Me and around 30 of my coworkers came into town for a…read moretwo day workshop and they got us a room block at this hotel. I ended up being in the North Building and cracked up when I walked into my room and saw I was in one of the Lightwell Lofts (a few of us ended up in them by chance, guess they included them in our room block lol). While the room was super cool and beautiful, there was a lot to be desired. After taking a million photos of the gorgeous room, I quickly realized a major flaw - the bedroom is upstairs, the bathroom is downstairs, and the staircase between the two is a crazy narrow spiral staircase. As someone that gets up to pee in the middle of the night, having to traverse the spiral stairs was terrifying lol. One of my coworkers actually swapped with someone who had a "normal" room because he was worried about falling down the stairs. My downstairs tv wouldn't turn on. I fiddled with the remote a bit, tried rearranging the batteries, but couldn't turn it on. I used the ipad in the room to put in a maintenance request, but no one came. I figured I would just let the front desk know when I headed out to dinner that night. Hours later, the front desk calls me to see if anyone had come to fix the tv - they hadn't. The girl was very nice and apologetic, she said I sent the request in the middle of a shift change and someone had accidentally marked it as complete. So she said someone would be right up, and he did come up. Handed me a handwritten note and a $25 coupon for Coppin's which was totally unexpected and a very nice gesture. Turned out, he knew exactly what the problem was - he said the remote was broken and he was supposed to swap it out but forgot. Gave me a new remote and all was good. He also mentioned there is a second remote upstairs for that tv. After he left, I went to look for it - there was no second remote. We held our meetings in the Scheper Room, which was also beautiful. The room was absolutely freezing the first day and I'm someone that prefers it a touch colder and was uncomfortable. We had to get them to update the thermostat and then in the afternoon it was way too hot. We had food brought in from the hotel and it was all fine, nothing super memorable. There was soup at lunch but the sign didn't even say what it was - just "chef's choice." The Italian hoagies were way too big and needed to be cut in half, I couldn't even finish half of one. The salad with fruit/pecans/etc was my favorite though. They had the completely wrong password on the tables for the Wifi but thankfully we figured it out quickly that we just had to use the room password. The second day for breakfast, there was yogurt on the menu and even on the sign with all the food - but there was no yogurt. Some of my coworkers were specifically asking for yogurt so we had to request it directly because it was included and paid for. Box lunches to take to go on the second day which were fine, I had the chicken caesar salad wrap. Housekeeping didn't come to service my room until 5pm when I was in there getting ready for dinner, so I was not able to get the room serviced. Just asked them for some more coffee. My conditioner in the shower was empty but I didn't bother reporting it after the tv issue and I had my own conditioner with me, so used that. The lotion at the sink was so thick that I could not get it out of the bottle at all, I had to use q-tips to get it out (it was nice quality, just kinda useless if you can't get it out of the bottle lol). Great local offerings on the mini bar and in the fridge. My coworkers and I got a kick out of the "intimacy kits" because we were on a business trip haha. The Magic 8 ball was fun, I loved the conversation cards even though I just read a few of them to myself haha. Even with the bedroom upstairs, it was nice to have the big double closet in the bathroom hallway so I really was just in the loft to sleep and kept all my stuff downstairs. The location is great, lots of fun stuff right nearby. The courtyard is lovely. I would say this is a solid 3.5 stars but since we can't give half stars, I'll give it a 4 because the staff was overall very nice and quickly fixed any issues, just a little annoying that we had any issues at all.
