I was able to get an appointment the following week. I saw what was in his vacuum canister from a previous job(s) and what was in it when he was done at my house. My landlord sent The Dryer Vent Doctor to clean out our dryer that wasn't working very efficiently. While it was a struggle to nail down an appointment, the actual job was done well. I called a couple of times and left a voicemail but never heard back. My landlord passed along another number where he receives text messages and it was easier to keep in touch that way (303-726-5686). We scheduled a time for him to come; however, he ended up having a couple of more time intensive jobs that led him to run late. We had to reschedule and he was late again but I had more time to play around with so he got the job done which took about 30 minutes. He let me know that he normally doesn't run late. It cost $79 to clean ($89 if it involves the roof). He takes cash or check, or you can pay via PayPal on his website but only if it's the $79 job and not the $89. He was a very nice guy, friendly with our pup, and seems to have fixed the problem. Knowing very little about dryers, he gave me info and tips for regular maintenance. Overall, I would recommend but just be mindful if you're on a tight schedule! read more

Very responsive and on time for both visits. He came out in January to clean everything, and all was great, and price was fair and as quoted. No surprises. I started having issues with my dryer earlier this month and suspected something with the vents (due to what was going on). He came out quickly, inspected the vents, and helped me troubleshoot it to make sure it was working properly. It had nothing to do with the service performed in January (turned out my dryer was fine, it was my washer not spinning out enough water). Fantastic job. He only charged me for the inspection. I had a dryer vent that was badly clogged with a difficult to get to roof access. Most companies I contacted refused to clean the roof side of the vent and the one that I did get ahold of quoted me a price that is 3X what Mike charges for the same service. Mike only returns calls 7-9AM or 5-7PM as he's a sole proprietor and out doing jobs 9-5. Also be aware he accepts cash or checks I don't believe he takes credit cards. Not a big deal for me but could be for others. He returned my call the same business day, got my address and reported he would be in my area just a couple of days after my call to clear the vent. When he arrived at the appointed time he got on the 25 foot upper level roof with no fuss and reported that the entire dryer vent was packed with lint. He moved my dryer and hooked up his industrial shop vac and set to cleaning it out. He also replaced the semi-rigid conduit that the brand new dryer had been installed with and put in a conduit that allowed for better placement of the dryer, and at no extra cost. What's more, after pulling a trash bag full of lint out of the vent he ran a test cycle on the dryer and went back onto the roof to make sure that there was good airflow coming from the now clean dryer vent. I have been a home owner for many years and worked with a lot of contractors. This gentleman is as good as it gets and his price is very reasonable. I will very happily call him when it's time to clean my dryer out again in about 18 months. I might even try to get a neighbor to book a cleaning together as he then offers a multi-booking discount. Mike is awesome. This was the most simple, frustration-free home maintenance service I've ever gotten. Our dryer was taking hours to dry clothing and eventually the heating element just quit...for the second time. The repairman suspected the cause was debris in the vent and recommended the Dryer Doctor. I wish all my home contractors were like him! He cheerfully rolled up in a super cool white body suit and some big loud tube device (I'm obviously not much of a vent cleaning guru). It's like calling Ghostbusters. He was even patient with my puppy, who typically hates men, but decided that the Dryer Doctor was the new love of her life. The job was finished in lighting speed. He had discovered three bird nests in there (I guess it is pretty warm and cozy) and even screwed in a small screen to discourage future avian house hunters. Mike is just awesome. I found him on Yelp, after putting this off for over two years. To be quite honest, I was afraid to call someone because I was really afraid of how much it was going to cost. I am really disappointed with the events of today. I called Mike on Thursday and set up an appointment for Saturday at 1:30pm. Mike took my address and said he'd see me on Saturday. Fast forward to 2:45pm on Saturday and Mike still hasn't shown up. To be clear, I am well aware that things happen, that jobs get delayed, that things pop up unexpectedly and I can't remember if I gave him my contact number but I am fairly certain I did. I called Mike at 2:45 and left a message asking him if he was still going to be able to make it out and to give me a call back and just let me know. It's been 10 hours and I still have not heard from Mike. Update: Mike called Monday morning apologizing for missing the appointment and stating that he had been very busy and wrote the date on the wrong calendar. We have an old stackable washer/dryer combo and both have needed a variety of repairs, which I personally executed. This time, the clothes would not dry completely, even after three one-hour cylcles. The kid, and I do mean kid, showed up to my house, didn't know where the ducts/vents were, asked to use our ladder, and never went on the roof.
