I hired Dryer Vent Techs to clean my dryer vents, after another company did not do a sufficient enough job, to prevent fire risk. Initially I believe I spoke with Don, the owner, prior to working with Marv, the technician, to schedule and complete the work. Marv came to my home in June 2024 was ethical, trustworthy, honest, and did a wonderful / thorough job, and I was glad that they are licensed to come into the home to clean the dryer vents - unlike the other company, who was only licensed to clean the events from outside the home, which proved insufficient. Had Dryer Vent Techs come clean our dryer vent on the roof along with removing a screen that was preventing lint from sufficiently escaping, thus creating a fire hazard. They arrived on time and completed the work quickly. I thought they were going to clean things from the inside too (where the dryer connects into the wall in the laundry room) but maybe there was miscommunication about what we wanted. Price for what was done seemed a bit steep in light of just a quick roof clean and removal of the screen but price was what we were quoted over the phone. read more

Been having dryer vent blocked error codes on my dryer off and on over the past 2 years. Had my vent cleaned from inside 2 times by another service company but ended up still getting error codes. Googled and called Dryer Vent Techs and scheduled a cleaning for the vent on top of the roof. Marv came out and explained to me how these vent block issues keep building up then went up to the roof to check and clean the vent. He explained in detail and showed me pics of what he found while cleaning and showed me the compacted lint that had been blocking the vent. He was very knowledgeable, professional and helpful! This company is stellar! I had a burning smell coming from my dryer and called Dryer Vent Techs and they were able to come out the next morning. The technician was great!! He cleaned the dryer vent and also determined and showed me that my dryer vent connection was badly crimped and replaced it on the spot. He vacuumed up the mess with his own vacuum as well. Don of Dryer Vent Techs did an amazing job of cleaning our heat ducts. Ours is a 100 year old house that had undergone numerous remodeling projects, making the job challenging and complex. Don did the cleaning using an impressive array of high tech tools that most cleaners would not have access to. He worked very hard without a break for about 5 hours, and he was careful not to damage our walls, floors and ceilings. Despite the amount of dust and dirt he removed, he left the house very clean. Further, he made suggestions for maintaining the efficiency of our furnace and our dishwasher. Considering the thoroughness of the cleaning and the effort involved, the cost of the job was very reasonable. Lastly, Don is a very good guy who was a pleasure to talk to. He cleaned it entirely from the outside, so there was no need to take our dryer off the inside vent (since it was in a closet, I was fearful of that....but no need!). He was pleasant, professional and finished quickly. He also had recommendations about a new vent cover, should we get animals inside, and for how often our vent would likely need cleaning. Very personal & offered helpful information. However did not clean the full length of the vent pipe, only to the 1st elbow & did not move the dryer. Did not seem like a complete job. He removed a substantial amount of lint leaving us to wonder what more might be there. read more

With a first floor laundry closet that barely can accommodate a washer and dryer and the dryer vent being served by an existing flexible vent duct, it clogged frequently (no surprise it was partially crushed) and required a gymnastic move of pulling it partially out and lowering oneself from the top of the machine to get into position to pull the dyer out and clear the duct. If not done every six weeks or so, the dryer would completely cease to function and sometimes required parts replacement in addition. I called Dyer Vent Techs to see if they could come up with a better solution, which they did. They sent Don and he came up with a lower profile and safer solution that eliminated the flexible duct hose and makes it unnecessary to clear the duct out as previously required. When it does need to be done again, it can even be reached now from outside the house, which I would likely call them to do. Bottom line, I should have called these folks about two dryers ago, since their longevity was probably shortened by the pre-existing bad design (now corrected by DVT) read more

Extraordinary!! My dryer vent (which exits on the roof of a high two-story building) hadn't been cleaned in seven years (the shame) and was a challenge to say the least. These guys got it handled, even though it took 3 visits - not due to incompetence at all, simply my very blocked and very high vent.
