After they arrived they told me it would be $749 to do this as it does not actually include the main supply 'trunk' line that every house has. This is a typical ranch style home built in the 50's and the return and most vents are on the trunk line as is typical. I said 'just do what is included in the coupon' and the guy was mad, and likely didn't do anything other then the first couple inches around vents and in the end he refused to do even that to one of the vents. Calling management did not help either. I should have turned them away at the $749 quote. Now I have a new company going out to do the job I already paid for. Don't pay twice, hire a good company from the start!

They went through the house, took before/after photos and explained everything being done in detail. The dryer vent was made out of the cheapest flexible aluminum material possible and they were upfront and transparent about the risks of a tear when cleaning it. Despite the risks they were able to get it done amazingly well. Also was having some furnace issues that Andrew was able to address and give me advice on. They also worked around our 2 crazy dogs plus myself and my partner working from home the whole time with ease. The air in here feels so much better now and just the peace of mind that I'm not breathing in 50 years of filth is priceless. This seemed so high to solely clear the dryer duct. I put in a project request for a whole house duct clean and Cesar responded SO FAST. He gave me a reasonable quote for the whole house including the dryer duct. 5 stars for communication throughout the whole process, from quick Yelp responses to letting me know he was on his way this morning, and for showing me photos and videos of before and after of the ducts, and just for an all around professional in-person experience. During the initial tour I asked if he also cleaned the fans in the laundry and bathrooms and he said that's not typically a part of the service, but he was happy to take a look and give them some compressed air. The before and after pics of the laundry room fan were NO JOKE. He said we might have saved that motor and I believe it. It always feels strange having a stranger move throughout the whole house, but Cesar was incredibly professional, immediately wore booties upon entering the house without me even asking, and was so gracious when we asked him to step outside a couple of times so we could move our unfriendly dog to a different floor as he moved through the space. I contacted them rather late on a Friday afternoon, but they promptly texted me back, and got me on their calendar. Saul and his colleague arrived at the scheduled time, and got to work. They vacuumed out a pile of lint, and exclaimed at the amount in such a short dryer vent :). They measured the airflow, and explained to me what the ideal airflow is, what mine was at the start, and what it is now. They answered every question that I had about the state of the system and how I should maintain it going forward. They were efficient and cordial. What else can I expect? I'd like to point out that Safe Dryers wasn't the first company I called. The company, which was referred by my appliance repair folks, wanted to come to "inspect" my system for a low fee, and then "assess" what needed to be done and provide an estimate on site. When I asked how much it would cost to clean the vent, which I knew needed to be done, this other company would not answer that question. They insisted on a $69 visit to provide that assessment and cost. Safe Dryers had a simple answer--$169 for a ground level vent, $259 for something 10' off the ground or more. I'm sure if Saul and his team found something amiss while they were here, they would have told me about it, but all I needed was that vent cleaning, and that is what I got. A bargain at $169.
