16 vents, 3 returns- $735.00 We had a scheduled appointment for Saturday between 8-9am and when no one was here at 9:30am, I called them. I was told they didn't have us scheduled. I explained that I had called two days earlier and scheduled the apt. with Patrick. I was then told someone could come to our home that day ( Saturday) and do the job between 12-1pm. I received another call at 1pm saying someone would be here between 2-2:30pm- that completely screwed up our day. Two gentlemen arrived at 2:40 and started the job. We had watched the video on their website on the processes they follow and we didn't see anything that looked like the video. I didn't see any of the instruments being cleaned, they didn't use any wall protectors, they didn't lay a blanket over our second set of stairs ( we have brand new carpet, which was placed two weeks ago on the stairs) my husband put down a blanket to protect the hallway carpet. We also have new hardwood floors and they didn't wear shoe protectors. The video shows a clear piece of plastic being placed over the vents to protect the house from filling up with dust, but we never saw that, they used cardboard over the vents instead. This seemed to work as I didn't see any dust. They were here until 6:45pm finishing this job, we felt bad for them because there Saturday was ruined as well. We received a $50 dollar discount due to them "being late". The "workers" were great and we appreciated them still doing a good job for us, but as for the office not putting us on the schedule- we won't use them again, a $50 discount didn't account for the inconvenience. read more

Monster Vac - Let me first start off by saying if I could give greater than a 5 star rating I would! Jose R. went above and beyond getting my system spic and span! My ducts and furnace were caked with construction debris, and I mean caked, he said this was the worse he's seen in the 4 years he has been doing this! He was SO thorough, what was supposed to take 4 hours took him 8 1/2 hours!! I am beyond grateful for his persistence and attention to detail. He covered everything and thoroughly cleaned up after himself. I will NEVER use another vent/furnace cleaning other than Monster Vac! I have a lung condition and Jose R. made sure to get everything completely clean. Let me also say that it was at reasonable cost! I was quoted $900 by my furnace company to ONLY pull out the Furnace blower motor and clean only that piece...Monster Vac also cleaned out the evaporator coils, heat exchanger, the ducts & returns, my dryer vent AND pulled out and cleaned the furnace blower fan ALL for less than what my furnace company wanted for ONLY the blower fan! Just had my furnace, heating/air and dryer vents cleaned today by Shawn from MonsterVac and am very, very pleased with their service. Shawn arrived promptly, thoroughly explained what he was going to do and did a walk-through with me, and then got right to work. My house is 2 stories plus a basement, 9 vents in all plus the dryer vent, and it took about 3 hours from start to finish, including a final walk-through. Shawn vacuumed up after himself and moved things back into place as needed; he also showed me before and after pics of the furnace and ducts and explained what I was seeing in the pics. Both Shawn and Emily, with whom I booked the appointment, were friendly, polite and professional. Cost seemed reasonable to me -- $700 less a 10% discount, plus $35 for the dryer vent cleaning. I saw that there were other companies that charged less, but based on other on-line reviews and the age of my house (built in 1895, although the furnace is newer than that), I was most comfortable going with MonsterVac. We have never thought about having our heating and air conditioning air ducts cleaned. My dryer was not dying well and as my husband looking into way we knew the vent had never been clean. Before calling a repairman for the dryer we looked into cleaning the vent. I made an appointment for July 1, 2015. I made this appointment 3 weeks prior to July 1. Knowing that I was going on vacation, I called prior and asked to be moved to earlier in the morning from the 11:00 am slot; this was not available so I kept the 11:00 am slot and confirmed that time. On June 30, I received three voicemails asking me to confirm my appointment for the 1st. If I did not return the phone call prior to 5:00 pm, my appointment would be cancelled. I was traveling and did not receive the voicemails until 9:00 pm on the 30th. I called the number back and the phone attendant took my information. I received a call at 6:52 am on July 1st. The gentleman on the phone indicated that my appointment was cancelled. Long story short, I guess they have so much business that they don't need the work or the money. read more

We researched and talked with numerous companies and chose Monster Vac because, although they were more expensive, we had never had our vents cleaned in our 40 year old house. The description of their process made me feel that the thoroughness of the cleaning would be worth the cost. I feel it was. Jose and Brian were prompt, friendly, efficient, and thorough. Great company. Speedy response. A bit more expensive than average, but you get what you pay for: They brush out ("roto-root") the whole length of each duct and each plenum. They vacuum each plenum separately to ensure that each is clean. And they clean the furnace blower and the AC coils, which most companies charge extra for. All of that takes time and effort. It took the technician over 5 hours of work to to the job on my~3000 sq.ft. house. He was not only thorough but meticulous ( I watched the whole time). Mike did a very thorough job cleaning the air ducts and furnace in my home. I am pleased with this companies customer service. Monster vac costs more than other air duct cleaning companies, but they also do a much more thorough job. Today Tim and David came out to our house to clean our air ducts and furnance after a basement finish left them with construction debris caked everywhere! This was by far the most thorough and best air duct cleaning I have ever had! Monster Vac definately blows the competition out of the water! I recently had a heating and a/c company come out because our a/c wasn't working very well. To thier credit, they told me all we needed was thorough system cleaning. They recommended Monster Vac. After me having to cancel a couple of times, they finally made it out and cleaned every inch of my a/c (outside too), furnace and ducts. Now the a/c works great!
