I bought a Living Social coupon for 10 vents, supposedly covering $245 of work for $55. They proceed to charge me $450 minus $55 for my coupon! What a scam. Cannot be happier! We had Eli come and clean our ducts and man, we were happy. What made us even happier was that we had a problem with the filter in the furnace and Eli made it a point to come out himself and double check everything. He found a one inch leak in one of our ducts and just like that, it was fixed. And at no additional charge! Amazing service, incredible experience, and most importantly an honest business! These guys are awesome! we had an unusual system and the tech had to work a lot more to get our ducts clean in our home, our ducts were in pretty bad shape after years of cats and dust, the cleaning was very thorough and the response time was quick. ONE STAR REVIEW!! They rammed their equipment into my front door gouging into the wood. They admitted to it at the time. The owner asked me to get estimates to fix but now that they realize it is not fixable they have changed their minds and now claim they didn't do it. Bunch of liars... He was very prompt, polite, did a wonderful job cleaning our dryer duct, and took the time to answer a few questions I had. Also, the appointment making process was very easy. Wow! This company actually got my system clean!! After sending 2 other companies away, Air Duct Doc got the job done right. If you are having trouble finding a company who runs real brushes down every vent line and the main trunks plus uses a powerful negative pressure machine with a full-size lines, you just found the one!! We rented a house with a foul smell & very little airflow in the central air. I took the return grill off & it looked just like the before picture on most of the websites. Erik was very thorough, professional, and respectful of our home. Now our system looks like the after photos! No more smell & we have good flow from our vents. When I set up my appointment, I added the cleaning of the inside A/C coils. Best $120 add-on I ever spent! They looked like they had never been cleaned. We should save that on our electric bill this summer alone! Price was very fair- about 1/3 of MonsterVac. Posting a before & after picture of my job. We purchased a Groupon for this company to clean 10 vents in our home. It was very apparent that he (unsure of his name, even now) did not value our business, possibly because of the Groupon. When I scheduled the appointment I told him about the Groupon and all he asked was for a date that would work. He then had me text him our address and a confirmation of the date\time. No questions were asked about the location of our home, the size, the layout, the # of vents... nothing. I thought that was weird but went with it. When he arrived (late) for our appointment he was only at our home maybe 5 minutes before telling us he could not complete the job. He was kind of hard to understand but I guess it was because our furnace is on the 2nd floor and there is no basement (which I would have told him if he had asked when I called!) He was walking out when my husband pressed him about what he COULD do for us and he said he could individually clean the vents but he didn't want to because it would take a long time... at least that's what it sounded like. I asked about just cleaning our one large intake vent which is very dusty and the original reason we looked in to air duct cleaning and he said that would be an additional $30 because he would have to get his ladder. Very disappointed that we scheduled time away from work to be home for this joke of a company to come over. He was not polite, not at all apologetic, smelled like cigs and didn't bother taking his shoes off to walk on our carpet. read more
