Apex did a great job, clean air is great thing! Courteous, prompt, professional & fair. Did more work than I had planned but should be more efficient & much cleaner now. Brian was friendly & a good tech to have do the job. I would highly recommend Apex to anyone. read more

1 STAR -- A $49 OFFER TURNED INTO A $7,000+ INVOICE + FEES + DAMAGE What began as a $49 air-duct cleaning offer resulted in an invoice for more than $7,000, financing fees, an A/C repair, damaged vents, and multiple unresolved problems. My home is new construction and primarily had a thin layer of construction dust and debris in the ductwork. The technician made the condition seem extremely urgent, and I felt pressured to make an expensive decision immediately instead of having time to research my options. I repeatedly told him I could not afford the recommended air-purification system and was willing to wait and pay cash later. Instead, I was encouraged to open a Synchrony Professional Services credit card and have everything installed that day. The financing was not adequately explained. I was not clearly informed beforehand of $600+ in fees, including $525.02 and $69 on my invoice plus a $29 Synchrony activation fee that pushed the card over its limit. I am also paying 8% interest. Promotional financing was not available for the initial transaction. Had I understood these costs, I would have waited and paid cash as I originally said I wanted to. The technician also told me the installed air-purification system would completely eliminate cooking odors traveling throughout my home. That has not been my experience. He told me I could get rid of the individual air purifiers I use in rooms for my infant and my two-year-old with asthma. I am not comfortable doing that, especially because I was promised before-and-after air-quality testing that never happened. I later found what appears to be a newer model with an installation kit at Home Depot for around $500. Had I not felt pressured to decide immediately, I could have researched the equipment, compared prices, and discussed installation with an electrician for a fraction of what I ultimately paid. After the cleaning, my one-year-old A/C would not turn back on. Apex could not return until later that afternoon on an approximately 90-degree day. With an infant in the home, I was not willing to wait without working A/C. I paid $200 for an independent HVAC technician to repair the problem after Apex left with the system not working. The cleanup was also unacceptable. I found nails, screws, and even broken glass around areas where vents had been removed. I had to clean underneath the vents and vacuum everything myself. With a two-year-old crawling and playing in these areas, this was extremely concerning. Three large return vents were damaged and warped from the way they were screwed back into place. Some vents were not cleaned at all. I specifically requested a duct-camera inspection, but the technician arrived without a duct camera and used his cell phone in select areas. I also requested before-and-after air-quality testing and received neither. After the cleaning, I began finding pieces of fiberglass insulation coming through the vents. I contacted customer service approximately three weeks ago, and these concerns remain unresolved. One of the charges pushed the Apex-financed credit card over its limit, yet I have essentially been told that the fee is my responsibility. This is particularly frustrating because I specifically said BEFORE agreeing to the system that I could not afford it and wanted to wait. I started with a $49 cleaning offer for construction dust in a new home. I ended up with a $7,000+ invoice, $600+ in financing-related fees, 8% interest, a $200 HVAC repair, three damaged return vents, missed vents, sharp debris left behind, no promised air-quality testing, no comprehensive duct-camera inspection, fiberglass coming through my vents, and an expensive system that has not performed as represented to me. The most frustrating part is that I was willing to wait. Had the complete financing costs been disclosed and had I been given time to research the equipment, I would have made a very different decision. Customers spending thousands of dollars deserve complete pricing and financing information before agreeing to the work, time to research their options without feeling pressured into an immediate purchase, and a home that is left clean and safe afterward. Based on my experience, I do not recommend Apex. read more

Very professional and thorough. They missed a vent on the first visit and the technician came right back out to make sure the job was complete. Not the cheapest but I will use them again. read more

We used a Groupon for duct cleaning, and had to wait a month for our appointment, which was canceled the day before. We were able to be seen last minute, which we were (at the time) grateful for. When the technician arrived, he attempted to upsell us on a new air filter and a disinfecting spray. We declined and he got to work. Upon receiving our "after" photos, we could clearly see dirt, debris, and some larger items left in the vent (left by previous tenants), including an electrical faceplate, credit card, phone pop socket, and door stop. We're fortunate we only paid for a Groupon and not the full price, but even the little bit we spent on the Groupon was a waste of money. read more

UPDATE (July 13, 2026): Apex reached out immediately, apologized, and issued a full refund for the cancellation fee. I am incredibly impressed by their fast, honest customer service and their willingness to make things right. While there was an initial misunderstanding regarding the large equipment size needed for a condo, their response was top-notch. The technician was also highly professional and punctual. 7/7/2026-My concern wasn't with the technician--he was professional, friendly, and arrived on time. My concern was that I wasn't told in advance that a large vacuum machine would need to be brought into my condo and that it would require two electrical outlets on opposite sides of my home. I had expected a setup similar to previous duct cleaning services I've used, where only hoses were brought inside from equipment that remained in the truck. Had I known what the process involved beforehand, I could have decided whether I was comfortable with it before the technician made the trip. Because I canceled only after learning this information, I ended up paying $49 for a service I wasn't prepared to have performed, which is difficult for me financially. I did call and spoke with Brittany and she offered to resend a technician to do the job, for a less charge. read more

Ad said $49.00 for 10 vents, 1 main, 1 return. they did 7 vents, 1 main, 1 return. Then removed blower to show dirt to prove that I needed to buy a special filter to help keep my inside air clean. I'm on oxygen so they really used that fact. I got the cheapest at $1,500.00. Which Harlan said he got us a special approval from his boss Jonathan to do. Product Harlan put in was not compatible with our thermostat, it would have only worked in the winter when we had the heater going. We don't have central air, so fan doesn't work during summer. He said that they would figure this out later, he had to talk with someone. He left after I signed on his phone 3 lines, 1 for the charge of 1500 for product, 500 to be drawn out of my account and the reoccurring 87.50 monthly for balance. I asked for invoice or receipts, was told I'd get them in an email with before and after photos Later that night. Never got any of those, invoice or pics. I thought about this and it didn't feel right. I called bank next morning to dispute because I had something I really couldn't use. I called Apex, spoke to Joathan (the deal maker) explained what went on and he sent someone out to check out the work. They removed the product; I was told that there would NOT be any charges for the service before or the removal. That there was nothing to worried about, we were all even. Great! I thought, Not so quick, the bank informed me that Apex had sent in an invoice for services and cleaning. I never approved any cleaning or sanitizer or duct work. They were giving them back the $500. Forget that they came and took back the product. I had to resolve this with Apex now (I'm changing banks now too!). Jonathan again. He stated it had to be a misunderstanding that there was nothing to be charged, that everything was taken care of, the contract was cancelled, so he didn't know why. He was going to call his boss/owner right then and clear this up, for me to give him 24 hours. It's been a week now. Still no original invoice, pics, estimate page, the only thing I have to show that they were even here is the 500 out of my account and patch work on my vent. I have multiple recordings of Jonathan telling me that Harlan was put on notice about doing things he was not authorized to do and giving Special pricing and not turning in correct information. This company or the people that I've dealt with have not been very good at follow through. If the tech brings you something to see, tell them to put it back and I better not be charged for it. He removed it, cleaned it, cut into my duct work (wasn't needed, the air filter was the only thing removed to put the product in) and there was no mention of any sanitizer. There should be NO chargers for ANYTHING! I'll update this if anyone cares to step up to correct the situation. Not happy. Bait & Switch, Elder Abuse, and adding fear to an already scary health issue. DO BETTER APEX!!!!!!! read more

This is the second or third time we have had Apex Clean Air come out to help service our HVAC system. Their prices are incredibly reasonable and well worth it. Today Joe and Juan spent several hours cleaning out all the dust and debris. They were so kind and paid close attention to detail. I am very happy with the results and will continue to use Apex Clean Air! read more

I had a whole house air duct cleaning for $299. Turns out it was a sales ploy. They rescheduled 3 times, plus one time where the technician showed up at the wrong date. Their customer service is incapable of apologizing for the inconvenience they cause. Also, they offer free services for google reviews so that's why they have so many 5 star reviews. Even if you are fine with multiple reschedules, they require you to make sure your dog is out of the house so be ready to waste money on dog walkers/daycare or your friend's time watching your dog. 2 years ago, this company was great, but the are at an all time low now. read more

Called for routine maintenance of my five-year-old perfectly working system. Not only did the two service men not check or attempt to fill mini split system coolant nor provide a filter for system under the "performance check" ... I was given a laundry list of things that they suggested to be replaced. Called a competitor for a repeat maintenance check up and was given a far difference outlook on my system. What's even more hilarious is the $400 for the line insulation replacement to be redone by APEX only cost $150 by the competitor. read more

Apex Clean Air - Estimate of work - Heating & Air Conditioning/HVAC Near Me - Denver, Colorado

Arrived on time, did a great job cleaning all vents and returns.I did pay a bit more for sanitizer solution . Great experience

We had Apex come out to clean our ducts and return vents. They showed us photos of what was in the ductwork, and it was gross! We had originally considered having the disinfectant sprayed inside the ductwork but decided that the HALO-LED purifier was a better deal in the long run than the disinfectant since we could go longer before needing to have the vents cleaned again. Even though the cost was higher in the short term, the purifier made sense to us. The technician arrived on time and ready to work. He cleaned all our vents and 4 air returns. Once that work was done, he installed the purifier. It works great!! We could tell the air was cleaner right away by the fresh smell of the purifier. I would recommend this company to anyone. They are prompt, clean, efficient and friendly. We were joking with Diego, the technician, and enjoyed meeting him. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about HVAC. The price we paid was a great deal for what we got. There was no high-pressure salesman trying to up-sell us, and the entire experience was great!! This company is great, and we highly recommend them!! You won't regret it! read more

Joe and Lamar did a phenomenal job! Extremely professional, personable and did a thorough job. They went above and beyond my expectations for the great deal I received. I had a bad experience with a different company AAA recently and was worried I'd receive scare tactics in order to upsell me. Joe and Lamar did not do that. They gave me options and did not make me feel pressured to make a rush decision. In 2025 its rare that you get great customer service and a great deal. I'd recommend Joe and Lamar 10/10 for anyone getting cleanings. read more

Very thorough service and multiple options based on the needs of the house. We are looking forward to finally having better air in our home!

Worst company I've ever dealt with. From no-show appointments, to showing up without the proper tools, to telling me they rescheduled and then they didn't, to showing up an hour and fifteen minutes late, to not providing me with before and after pictures as promised - in the end it seems all is well, but you're better off finding someone else. And yes - they are trained to try and upsell you on anything and everything... read more

I've had excellent experience with APEX. We first had them come out for duct cleaning & tune up through a groupon deal. Andy did a check over the HVAC system and took as much time as I needed explaining the health status of my furnace. For the duct cleaning, Andy did a top tier quality job. He took lots of pictures of the vents showing the before / after of the cleaning he was doing. We had our ducts cleaned about 4 years ago by different company but that first company left dirt/screws/debris in the duct work that APEX cleared out for us. We were so happy with our duct / tune-up experience that we had APEX return for a furnace quote. Seth was very knowledgeable about the system and was happy to sit down to answer any questions I had. He wanted to ensure they were meeting my needs and expectations. He was good at explaining answers to both folks with technical and non-technical backgrounds. Seth did a great job of explaining the functions of an A/C vs Heat Pump vs Furnace. He addressed my concerns of company stability (for warranties) and quality of install/work. Through his explanations, he quickly earned my trust. We decided to install a new heat pump / HVAC unit. Anytime they were in the home, they respected my home by removing shoes or wearing shoe covers. As an DIYer and aerospace engineer, I have high expectations for the contractors/companies I work with on my home to be able to explain options, steps, and details. They did leave a small mess for me to clean up in the doorway to the utility room afterwards, but overall I was still satisfied with their work. APEX was certainly able to meet my quality expectations and had an excellent competitive pricing. The only complaint I have was it did take 3 tries in order to pass inspection (meaning I had to be home from work 3 times) and it was caused by very minor things. But they were on top of getting it corrected and rescheduled for inspection. At the completion of our install, there was some troubles getting the Xcel rebate approved due to Xcel changing their policy on qualifications. It took some time and patience, but the APEX team offered a resolution to the issue. Talissa was very helpful in this ordeal. read more

We have worked with them in the past and they were able to keep our business on the new AC / heat pump installation. They are thorough and honest in giving us the information. Also we did not feel pressured and they are very responsive when seeking answers and help. We have been impressed throughout our experience with them and will continue using them in the future. Unfortunately, I must update my positive review to include a recent and disappointing experience I encountered with Apex. After initially contacting them to schedule an estimate to replace my A/C system (unaware they offered services beyond duct cleaning), I met with Seth. He provided multiple quotes and even matched a competitor's offer. Though I appreciated the options, I needed time to consider as I was still shopping around. This seemed to frustrate him despite my transparency about my decision-making process. A week later, while reviewing all of the quotes I had received, I reached back out to Apex with questions. The phone rep for the HVAC arm answered one of them. But for the other, she put in a request for Seth to call me. He answered my remaining question and pressed for a decision. After telling him I still hadn't made my decision, he abruptly told me my apples-to-apples offer would expire by the end of the next day. After ending the call, an (what I felt) aggressive text came through not even 10min later. The text said the offer expires before noon the next day along with other things to consider. I text Seth the next day and told him I would not be moving forward with Apex because the other company I was considering included electrical work in my quote that Apex said they'd tack on as an additional cost if it was determined that I needed it. The other company planned to do it regardless of necessity. I received a condescending response from him about the electrical work I opted to have done when installing a new system. Mind you I noticed I wasn't clear when I mentioned "electrical work" when I sent that text so I made sure to correct myself in my final response while also being honest about my overall experience. This solidified my decision to decline Apex's offer. While I initially leaned towards picking them, the pushy demeanor made me reconsider. Because of this foul experience, I will no longer consider Apex for anything and will look to hire other companies when needed. read more

They got my ducts clean but was supposed to include the cleaning of my dryer vent as well. I did not follow the guy around and assumed he had done it, but later found out, it was not done. How do I know, because I checked the vent from the outside and it was lined with about 20' of birds nests. I called / emailed Apex to let them know that this service was not performed but they never even bothered to call me back so won't be using them again and I recommend that others also go elsewhere. Bad customer service is always a deal killer for me. read more

I found this company through Groupon. After reading various reviews, I knew the $49 was just a way to get in the door and that I was going to be paying more. I had the pleasure of working with Nate today and my experience with him just blew me away! I told him my concerns/what I wanted to get done as well as my budget. He was extremely knowledgeable and worked with me to find a plan that not only works best for us, but was also budget friendly. Nate was extremely hard working. He came for a Groupon package and was kind enough to stay until all of my add-on jobs were completed even though it was 8 hours later! I felt so bad for Nate, however, he was so kind and polite the entire time! If I ever need work again, I will definitely be coming back here. Nate made me a customer for life!! read more

Tyler and Mason were great from start to finish. They came out and did a fantastic job cleaning out our vents and gave us a good deal on replacing our ac and furnace. They offer a great warranty, top of the line equipment, and Tyler and Mason were incredibly professional the whole time. Highly suggest Apex and will update once the work is all done read more

We got a new furnace installed on January 6, 2025 and today (February 18, 2025) is the 4th time our brand new heater has stopped working. I have nothing but positive things to say about the service guys but how can a company have something brand new break this many times without ordering a new one or offering a refund? We were convinced by their company that we needed a new furnace, especially since our old one could start releasing carbon monoxide at any time. As brand new parents of a now-4-month-old, we heeded to their warning. Since then, their terrible product has continued to go out on us, leaving us and our newborn child sleeping poorly, wrapped in blankets all day, and imprisoned in the one room with a space heater (that we bought because they didn't volunteer bringing any the first 3 times). I am beyond livid, beyond disappointed, and feel completely swindled. The only reason we keep calling these people is because who has the money to afford ANOTHER brand new furnace from a different company? Not us, not anyone. It's 6 degrees today. Fix this. read more

They really just want to sell other products and the actual service of cleaning is bad. They promise you pictures and they don't deliver them, then you ask for them and they blame the person who "cleaned the vents". They did such a bad bad job on cleaning my drier vent that they clogged it, he had to come back and came AGAIN with out proper equipment after rescheduling. Had to provide him a ladder to do the work and he actually spent the time cleaning it because I was watching him. Don't trust this place to do a good job, if you hire them make sure you watch them like a Hawk, also.... Don't let them damage your stuff. Poor quality cleaning! They don't care! read more

We had first contacted this company to have our vents cleaned and sanitized. Mason came and did a fantastic job and we knew we could rely on him for our AC tune up for the coming warmer days. When we contacted them, their response was quick and efficient! Mason came and checked out our AC unit and let us know how we can make our home more efficient by upgrading our almost 25 year old furnace and AC, which were clearly on their way out. They have some fantastic deals on their equipment and really take pride in caring for their customers. Mason has helped us every step of the way and made it possible for us to upgrade!
