6pm Tuesday, Packed

Cozy atmosphere, good service and warmth :) Was easy enough to catch up with my friends over beers and Fries! Really crowded even weekdays. So many people and you can bring a baby car they are friendly.

Cider, finback, blueberry sour ale

Came with friends for a drink, had a great time. We didn't have food but it looked delicious. We tried the cider, the finback dreamspace, the local KCBC Beach Zombie, and blueberry sour ale. Great selection of craft sour beer. Great service, great excellent selection of music and very cozy.

Everything But The Wings

I was really impressed by this place! Usually I am not one for a thick burger like this, so I was initially skeptical, but the burger was so flavorful and perfectly cooked - I can see why it was a staple on everyone's table! The Everything But the Wings was also fantastic, the Japanese Sweet Potato paired so nicely with the buffalo-like sauce. The Mac and cheese was pretty good, but definitely could have used a bit more flavor and gooey-ness. Overall a great meal and we all enjoyed it thoroughly, clean plate club as evidence!

Top of the line burgers!

This review is not hard to write...grass fed burgers cooked to perfection (mine medium rare and my friend's medium) with a great char flavor. The bun was grilled as well and the fries that accompanied the burger were delicious. Very relaxed atmosphere (at least on a Tuesday night). I loved that you place your order directly with the kitchen and get your own water....no unnecessary waiting! Communal self-seating was also a plus!

Margarita

Enjoyed the grilled cheese sandwich - the right amount of crunch for the toast! You have to place your food orders at the kitchen and your drink orders at the bar. A little confusing to start a tab and place a food order if you are unaware of this before ordering

stumbled on this v popular pub/restaurant. clear where to order food by the bar/bathroom. get a number to put on table to wait for food (seat urself) and get drink at bar. excellent burger/fries. great beer selection. family friendly. def recommend.

Perfect burger.

I am so freaking lucky to live half a block from this place and it's honestly a travesty that I don't frequent it more often. This is your quintessential neighborhood bar with GREAT food (and as a long time patron/cult member/adopted daughter of the Dutch House in Fair Lawn, NJ I *know* a great neighborhood bar with great food!) The burgers are top 5 in NYC easy, which is saying a lot when you consider that Gnarly Eats and Dram Shop alone are within a ten block radius. The French fries are also awesome - salty, skinny, and the perfect amount of crispy. In case my superlatives hadn't convinced you, this is the meal I chose when Dad was paying, the night before colorectal surgery (TMI?) Seriously, it's a great burger and fries. They have a great beer selection, solid wines in cans (maybe the one thing I would change if pressed) and bartenders who make EXCELLENT cocktails - dirty martinis in particular. The staff, from the bartenders to the folks taking orders and cooking at the food window are all incredibly nice and super speedy. They make it a point to recognize locals and regulars and it always makes me feel great, even though I don't come in as often as I should. Thanks for being you, Double Windsor!

Bourbon cream soda in a can?! A must try!

They had a bunch of collabs with other breweries so their taps were filled with wonderful selection of cool beers. I got here when it opened grabbed a seat at the bar. I didn't catch her name but the bartender was super nice and we chatted a bit. This bar has two tvs in the bar area and some tables in the back. It also has an outdoor area which I did not get to check out unfortunately. The only downside is, is that there is no food served here. But the upside is that you can get free Pop-corn! If you have not been here before, I would suggest stopping by. By the way whoever does their social media is super great!

Service has always been friendly and knowledgeable about the beers. I can already see myself back there for the next time I'm craving some delicious craft beer!

The energy was more mature which I preferred in a sports bar. Tons of benches, some bar seating and pool tables in the back. Lots of tvs as well, saw all the March Madness games playing. I imagine it would be great for big games. That being said I came to pregame Knicks-Nets and as we got closer to start-time a lot fans came to watch game (very easy walk to Barclays- 10 min walk). The food was solid and service was pretty good. Good beer options, had the happy hour margarita. They are strong! You've been warned.

We were debating between regular wings or smoked and best decision of the night was picking the smoked wings. It was crisp and not too saucy, keeping the wings as the key. Both the steak sandwich and burger were very good and well priced. I wish the burger was bigger though. Service: 5/5 There was only one waitress and one bartender at the time, but service was very quick. We did not have to wait for anything. Ambiance: 5/5 We were looking for a sports bar to eat at before going to the Nets game. Fulton Hall is only few minutes walk from Barclays. It was not crowded at all and was perfect to relax and grab a bite before going to the game.

The venue is pretty spacious they have a back dining area, a big bar when you enter and a full bar upstairs. There's a ton of televisions if you are watching sports as well. They have a pretty deep beer menu which I loved. The food menu is Irish influenced bar bites. We had the wings which were nice and crispy. The center of attention was the waffle fries nachos. You can't go wrong with a potato vehicle to fresh toppings. All and all great fun spot for sports and gatherings. Also this is a melting pot. Various ages, groups, backgrounds, saw a few families. All are welcome. One flaw is St. Patty it appeared that our waiter who was superb was the only one working so it was a bit of chase to close out.

In general, I like the mellow / peaceful vibes of outer borough NYC Irish pubs at lunchtime. McMahon's did not disappoint. Solid buffalo chicken wings & good burger. I am also post fries (I will try one or two of yours, but I don't need an order of fries for myself.), so can't comment on the fries. They also make a mean Caesar salad. The Caesar & buffalo wings are pretty much my metric for all Irish pubs. McMahon's would def be in the upper 50th percentile. There are a bunch of negative reviews for this spot on here for when they are very busy, on Barclays Center game nights and / or weekends. I feel like, if you read between the lines, it's people coming in groups when it's busy acting entitled. The staff at lunch has been nothing but courteous, w/ excellent service. Also, very clean inside, & food was good quality / fresh ingredients. There are almost no Irish pubs in this area open for lunch anymore at all - thank goodness this is a good one!
