Donuts were very soft and pillowy in that one kind of good way. I found some of the glaze to be a bit too sweet. The fried croissant which is usually my favorite, fell a bit short. Definitely worth checking out.

The shop was clean and bright and still had a good selection of donuts. They had a very friendly employee.

I've been wanting to try these donuts for a bit but I'm not in the area often and the last two times I stopped by they had ran out earlier than the posted closing time. We walked in to one associate helping a customer and another hanging out with a friend. The service we eventually got was basically a drone putting donuts into a box as we pointed them out. Zero personality or hospitality. Finally got there in Tina and caught a decent selection but sadly the donuts were just fine. My wife and I got six and other of us loved any of them. The maple and French toasted tasted like the same donut but the latter had a slight hint of cinnamon. The maple donut tasted like a dead ringer for Dunkin's maple but cost a bit more. The blueberry was very reminiscent of the one from Krispy Kreme but again this one is pricier. The odd one was the "sour cream" cake donut that tastes like coconut with a hint of pineapple. The worst by far was the cherry cake donut which tasted like chapstick and left an awful aftertaste. The best of what we tried was Fruity Pebbles but the cereal overpowered the donut and did all of the flavor work. There's a ton of donut options in the area so I don't foresee myself visiting this one again.

Service was friendly and efficient and patient while we made our selections and there were tons to choose from! We tried strawberry frosted, chocolate frosted, chocolate frosted with a ton of sprinkles ("blue donut" if you're 3 years old), blueberry filled, and red velvet with cream cheese frosting. Also enjoyed a coffee (self serve, 2 roasts to choose from, 1/2 and 1/2, flavored creamer, and sugars) and bottle water. They have a cooler of drink selections. No indoor seating or outdoor tables

Located just off 129 in Liberty Twp. They open early at 5:30am. Their stuff is really good. I'm not a donut type guy but I have to say they make a great apple fritter and their red velvet donut was excellent. Service was very good. Stop in and grab some for the office....or just for yourself. Heck, why not!

This was one of the stops on our donut trail day! Come early as they sell out early but our selection was still good at 10:30 am. We are a custard filled donut and it was delicious!! The staff person was very friendly! We will be back!

Buckeye, Custard filled and Apple Cream Cheese. Oh... and a couple of loose pecans from the Pecan donuts I inhaled.

A friend suggested that I should try the donuts at The Donut Dude. I put it off, feigning that I'm always dieting. I bit the bullet today and... I've been missing out. Best donut(s) in a very long time!! Very light, fluffy, perfectly sweet and best of all... not at all greasy!!! I'll have to get there earlier because it's clear that I was the last one to the table and their inventory was low but... I totally understand why. Delicious donuts for sure!!!

Stopped in during Covid-19 week? Does it matter what week, I needed donuts. Only 2 people allowed in the store at a time. I showed with my BFF because well if you are going to quarantine do so with your Bestie. We walked in and we each ordered several donuts, the staff was amazing and helpful, the Donut Dude was in the back room making donuts and even waved while I took a picture. I love good donuts, and I will have to say the donut dude makes some very good donuts. I highly recommend coming in here for your donut fix. I may have to gain a few pounds, because this place is worth the effort and it is close to home. I tried several different donuts and they were all of the same quality. Stop in and get yourself some yummy donuts. I will be back.

This new Dude in town is going to do good. In a county with some amazing donut shops, The Donut Dude is a welcomed addition to the area and can't wait to see them on the Butler County Donut Trail. Having sampled nearly every donut shop in the area, The Donut Dude is going to give everybody else a solid run for their money. Quality donuts, quality ingredients and great people all around. I had the privilege of going there on their very first day of actual business. Since it was my first time, we sampled a number of the donuts there. Glazed yeast: Excellent. Light and sweet just the way a glazed donut should be. Devil's Food Cake Chocolate Iced: Another winner. A chocolate Lover's Dream. Blueberry Cake with Blueberry Drizzle: Nice!! Not too sweet and just right. He also makes a Blueberry Cake Maple frosted. I bought one for a friend, and I didn't get to try it. I was told it was amazing and tasted like a blueberry pancake with maple syrup. I will absolutely be trying that one my next time in. Custard-filled Round: Excellent! Old Fashioned and Vanilla Cake Glazed: Both very similar. If you know Donuts, then you know the difference between an old fashioned and a cake round. There are subtle differences but a donut lover will recognize this. Both are solid and you won't be disappointed. They also have a variety of soft drinks and milk and other beverages to keep things moving. Whether you're stopping in for a dozen or two or you want to just sit and have a couple, this place is got the setup. Nice small dining area allows for kids and adults alike to enjoy their donut goodness. Would I go back? Absolutely no question here. I can't wait to go back. My only problem is going to be trying not to go back as often as I'd like to. I think this place is going to do great and I'm really hoping but nothing but the best for these great people and their fantastic Donuts.

Stopped in for a couple of doughnuts. The selection wasn't as big as I expected. However it was a weekday and 11:00 AM. The employee explained they sell out early. The coconut cream doughnut and the glazed doughnut we purchased were very good. While there we discovered they get their coffee from a local roaster. Purchased a 12 ounce bag of the Highlander Grogg which is delicious. Will definitely stop back and try to make it earlier in the day next time!

Spot #11 on the Donut Trail. The staff is super friendly and eager to talk to you about all their flavors. So many delicious looking donuts fill their display cases, from cream filled to frosted sprinkle to apple fritters to cereal topping donuts. I ordered the chocolate and caramel frosted donut. The dough was light and fluffy, the frosting sweet and tasty. I liked the mix of flavors to fulfill my sweet tooth, but not be overly full. Check them out!

Terrible service. The woman behind the counter was very rude to me and my family. She doesn't value costumer service.

We arrived in the later afternoon on a Saturday…read more The store is bright and appears to be well kept. We were immediately greeted upon entry, and pleasantly surprised to find a fair amount of choices left! As we looked over our choices, the employee offered a sample of their donut holes as a first time visitor! The donut holes were nice. Fluffy and nice, not overly sweet. We ordered a glazed persian, glazed crueller and a cotton candy. My daughter didnt care for the cotton candy topping, but no points loss since it is preference issue. It was a little toooo sugary for us. Husband reports French crueller was really good, well made and good flavor. Persian was a bit too sweet for him. I ordered a sugar twist to enjoy later, imagining it to be soft and fluffy like the donut hole. We will be bringing the rest of our kiddos here to check it out in the future!

This was my third stop on the donut trail, and Holtman's stood out as the most modern-looking shop…read more I loved that you could see right into their kitchen--it adds a fun, behind-the-scenes feel to the experience! Their donuts are beautifully made, and I decided to try the doughsant ($4.25). Its shape reminded me of Parlor's version, though I found it not flaky enough, especially at that price point. The location is easy to access, with plenty of parking. It's almost a standalone building, except for one neighboring business. Overall, a nice stop if you're exploring the local donut scene!
