This was my fifth stop on the donut trail, and I had the pleasure of meeting Stan, the owner--such a friendly guy! He shared that he once had four locations, and this one has been around since the mid-'90s. The donut selection was good with some unique finds like peach and pineapple fritters. I tried the sour cream cake donut for $1.50 and loved its consistency--moist and dense. As we were leaving, more customers were coming in, which is always a good sign. It's a humble shop tucked into a strip center with plenty of parking. A great stop for classic donuts with a welcoming touch!

Part of the Butler County Donut Trail. Had a pineapple fritter. It was good but the icing was that close to cinnamon roll icing and it was a lot of sugar.

If you're looking for a classic donut shop, Stan the Donut Man is a great option. Located in an unassuming strip mall, their donuts were fresh and tasty. I had the sour cream donut, which was moist and cakey. My husband had a twist that had a surprise thin layer of cinnamon inside and he said was very good. The woman working was friendly and patient with our indecisiveness.

My BFF and I were doing the donut trail. I love Stan the Donut Man! I have been here many times and I will always come back! Everyone here is always very friendly and the donuts are delicious! Come early as they sell out quickly!

I tried Stan The Donut Man while on the Donut Trail. Saturday morning of Father's Day, my husband and I decided to take our DT list and go around with our daughter and try most of the shops listed. This was one of the stops on the Donut Trail. Also, the staff was also nice. While on the trail we only got one donut per shop. It doesn't sound like a lot, but we went to 8 different shops . Talk about a donut overload. Lol! We ordered a Glazed Donut from this location. From every location we tried something different. The donut was fresh and tasted like a typical glazed donut. It was soft and yummy. Overall, Stan The Donut Man had a good donut.

Another stop with my family on their quest to complete the Butler Country Donut Trail. We arrived at Stan the Donut Man around mid morning on a Saturday..I'd say around 10-10:30 ish. They are in a plaza that looks like it's been around for a long time. Their store front is pretty basic..nothing fancy. Inside the wall to the left is lined with tables and chairs..maybe a table too many as we realized when the more they got filled the more tightly squeezed in we felt. To the right is their pretty large donut case displaying that days offerings. Straight ahead is the register. The employees working that morning were friendly and eager to help. My family went with a dozen mixed donuts. There were traditional donuts..creme filled..cheesecake..sour creme infused..a good selection overall. The more the donut featured the more the price was. A dozen mixed regular donuts'll run you around 10 dollars..adding in some "special" ones will up that price a bit. Their selection had been picked over pretty well by the time we got there. There was still a decent selection..but a lot were already sold out. Like we've been finding with a lot of local donut places..if you're looking to get the more popular more interesting donuts go early. The donut I went with was a basic glazed chocolate devil's food cake one. It wasn't bad. Came off as a little dry..thinking it might've been sitting out for a while. It was kind of small too..smaller than your average sized donut it seemed. Overall, Stan the Donut Man is kind down the middle for me. Not bad enough to avoid but maybe not good enough to seek out. They do seem to have a lot of loyal local customers so some people out there think pretty highly of them. The staff was nice and the donut was decent..if you were in the area and craving one I would recommend checking them out.. they might just be your cup of tea as well.

We arrived in the later afternoon on a Saturday…read more The store is bright and appears to be well kept. We were immediately greeted upon entry, and pleasantly surprised to find a fair amount of choices left! As we looked over our choices, the employee offered a sample of their donut holes as a first time visitor! The donut holes were nice. Fluffy and nice, not overly sweet. We ordered a glazed persian, glazed crueller and a cotton candy. My daughter didnt care for the cotton candy topping, but no points loss since it is preference issue. It was a little toooo sugary for us. Husband reports French crueller was really good, well made and good flavor. Persian was a bit too sweet for him. I ordered a sugar twist to enjoy later, imagining it to be soft and fluffy like the donut hole. We will be bringing the rest of our kiddos here to check it out in the future!

This was my third stop on the donut trail, and Holtman's stood out as the most modern-looking shop…read more I loved that you could see right into their kitchen--it adds a fun, behind-the-scenes feel to the experience! Their donuts are beautifully made, and I decided to try the doughsant ($4.25). Its shape reminded me of Parlor's version, though I found it not flaky enough, especially at that price point. The location is easy to access, with plenty of parking. It's almost a standalone building, except for one neighboring business. Overall, a nice stop if you're exploring the local donut scene!
