This is the 7th donuts place on the trail and had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Mason. The shop is located in a distinctive pink freestanding building with ample parking. We tried the original glazed yeast donut $1.60, and appreciated that they accept credit cards. The owner was friendly and shared that they occasionally open as early as 2 or 3 a.m. when preparations are completed ahead of schedule they started preparing at 10 pm the night before. Given their popularity, donuts tend to sell out quickly. While the donut had a pleasant flavor, I found the texture slightly too doughy for my preference. Nonetheless, it was still enjoyable overall.

This place may look a little rough on the outside, but it has been here for years and serves some very tasty donuts. My BFF and I shared a cherry turnover that didn't make it to the vehicle it was so good. The staff was very polite. This is a good place to stop if you need your donut fix.

On a weekday at 7:30 am, and the display cases were already half empty, which is generally a good sign. I only got a cinnamon sugar donut and a chocolate yeast twist, both were fine. The twist was my favorite of the two, fluffy dough, and sweet (did have a lot of glaze). The cinnamon donut was pretty basic. It is a small donut place, and the prices are very reasonable. The lady behind the counter was nice, and gave me a minute to think about my selection. If I'm in the area I would consider snagging a few more donuts to try, it is quite a trek for me.

Had a glazed, cake glazed, and cream cheese filled cronut. All very good. Cronut was SUPER sweet. It is essentially a cake frosting donut-sandwich. Glazed were solid. No old fashioned donuts .

Came across this place because it is featured on the infamous Donut Trail. My family that morning decided to do a bracket style game to pick which place off the trail to try. We started with eight options, and then broke them down two by two until we came up with Martin's Donuts to check out. Kinda silly but fun. Anywho, Martin's Donuts is a pretty unassuming place overall. Very minimalist, not much flare, just a no frills basic kind of doughnut shop. When you walk in the front entrance, you can see the room to the left where they make the doughnuts, then to the right is the register and the doughnut display. The doughnuts here are very reasonably priced. They have a decent selection as well. We wanted to try a couple of their specialty ones that they had on their menu board..but alas..we were there too late in the morning and they were already sold out. I guess the lesson here is to come early if you want to try those. Note taken. As I've stated in previous reviews, I'm not a big doughnut person. I'll eat them if their around but I will rarely seek them out. That being said, the one I had from Martin's was pretty good. Just your basic vanilla cream filled with chocolate icing..but it was quite tasty. It was so sweet it sent my blood sugar through the roof I'm sure..but still quite tasty. Overall I would recommend this place to doughnut lovers. They were pretty busy when we were there..the locals seem to really enjoy their doughnuts. Just maybe get there early in the morning if you want to try some of the specialty ones.

Long time donut lover here, The donuts here are what you'd expect from a local mom and pop shop. The glaze on my cronut was already dried so I can only share my experience with what I had. If you could try these warm at the opening hours, I am sure they'd taste much better. I tried a cream cheese cronut at 10am. It's my first cronut. It turns out I am not a big fan of it. I don't like the croissant flakes. It's a bit messy and gets everywhere. I like that the sweetness wasn't overbearing like many filled doughnuts. However, the cronut reminded me of a bear claw because there was no crunch. If you guys are participating in the Butler County Donut Trail, please try it as early as possible to enjoy it more. This is my fifth stop on the Butler County Donut Trail. The first thing I noticed when I walked into this place was that there was a complete disarray of donuts on the top shelf, which, I'm sure there were all different flavored glazed cakes, but I was confused with no real identifying factors of what kind of donuts were which. The lady behind the counter was very nice and told us what the kind of donuts were, but still, I wish was something to let us know what. I tried a cinnamon roll bite, the cookies n crème donut, & the peanut butter chocolate chip donut. The cinnamon roll bite was ok, with plenty of cinnamon and frosting, but didn't taste fresh. The cookies and crème donut, was an oreo crusted, vanilla glaze with vanilla frosting inside of it, which was delicious and fresh. I was slightly disappointed because I saw the picture on yelp that had oreos inside the donut and this wasn't that donut. The peanut butter chocolate chip had a peanut butter filling, which was straight up peanut butter instead of a creamier peanut butter, which I think would have suited the donut better, but was still nice. One more thing to note about the two donuts were that they were massive. All three of these items combined cost less that $5, which was a surprised due to their size. Overall, I would come back here and try the other varieties of donuts. They definitely have a good variety available!

Donunt Trail Stop #1! You can't miss Martin's because of it's bright pink exterior as you go through Trenton. I was brought out here by the allure of a trail for donuts and Martin's set certainly set a high bar for the start of the trip. Debating whether I should go for their bacon maple twist or the Oreo donut was instantly decided once I was told there were literal Oreos baked into the donut. Done. Sold. While I was nervous how a hard cookie would work inside a soft pastry such as this donut, my worries were unfounded. Now the only problem I have is how to get more of these on a regular basis. Martin's made a big enough batch that they hadn't sold out when I arrived at 9am on a Sunday, but they ran out of the Oreo donuts by the time I left at 10am. Be sure to get there early on the weekends!

Our last stop on the Donut Trail was Martin's Donuts, a pink stand-alone building. My husband went with a fried croissant with cream cheese filling, which had a nice crunch and good flavor. I picked the Oreo cream-filled donut topped with crumbled Oreos. The husband wasn't very impressed with this one, but I thought it was fine, especially if you're a big Oreo fan. These came in around $1.25 per donut. The service here was very friendly.

One of the best stops on the Donut Trail. The donuts are always good and fresh. My personal favorite is the "Twisted Sister" which is chocolate and glazed twisted together.

Donuts are fresh and delicious. Maple bacon is my favorite. The Oreo is also great, to think take tasty items and then add it to a donut.

The lady behind the counter was super helpful about what each item is, how it's made and the price. She was super sweet and also let me try a piece of their original cake donuts. We ended up getting "a slice of heaven" which is somewhat like a donut. It's a big breaded square with powdered sugar sifted on top, my boo got a fudge bark, which was surprisingly good, it wasn't thick like actual fudge and it wasn't too rich or chocolatey it was lowkey perfect boo ate it in 3 bites lol. Then lastly we got a cinnamon crunch which is also known as the elephant ear. I loved the cinnamon crunch too it was a pretty big size shareable for two. It was super thin, I do wish it was a little bit more puffy so it's not like toooo crunchy but the flavor was there. 10/10 will definitely be back for more goodies

However, the initial experience felt a bit unwelcoming. I wasn't greeted by the lady behind the counter, a gentleman entering from another door was. As I browsed the selection, a young man helpfully explained what the "uglies" were--old-fashioned donuts with an irregular shape. We decided to try the peach and cream pączki, a traditional Polish donut, but at $3.50, it felt quite steep, especially when compared to a regular jam-filled donut for under $2. Unfortunately, the pączki was a bit dry, and the filling was sparse. That said, we're still glad we gave it a try. Just a heads-up for those planning to visit--there's a $5 minimum for credit card purchases.
