Triple Moon is an amazing Middletown gem! I have been a regular for several years now. For the last year or so, I have been largely caffeine- free, but I have been unwilling to give up coming, so I get drinks without coffee or get decaf drinks. The S'mores Frappé is one of my go-tos, but I always like checking things out on their seasonal menus. For the pumpkin spice girlies like me, they have it year-round! The food is great as well, whether you are looking for breakfast or lunch. The biscuits and gravy is killer, but its a Saturday special. The Moon Over Italy and Twisted Pig are both amazing sandwiches. The vibes are on point - the music always nice, and the atmosphere pretty chill. This is a darling coffee shop in downtown Middletown. My BFF and I were doing the donut trail and needed something more substantial!! The interior is warm and welcoming and it felt like we were right at home! We ordered an egg salad sandwich and coffees. The egg salad was delicious! Saying your grilled cheese is the best is a very strong statement. They weren't lying though. Yesterday I had the best grilled cheese of my life. I ate that grilled cheese like a food critic. I was as judgmental and as skeptical as I could be. The first bite was buttery and the bread is thick and has a slight sweetness to it that reminds me of a bagel. It was great! I finished my meal with a cafe con leche... the woman behind the bar told me she had lived in southern Florida and knew how to make a good cafe con leche. It is my new favorite drink. That was one great drink and as I finished it, I noticed she finished it with a little salt which was a tasty surprise. I stop in quite often and the drip coffee is always very good. Sometimes coffee in shops has a slight burnt taste but I have never experienced that at Triple Moon. The staff are always willing to ustomize drinks and even experiment. Parking is always available on the street or in the parking lot behind the shop. The drive thru is a plus and there is always quick service. I love the interior of the shop. There is a lot of lot art displayed and it is a fun atmosphere. Five stars without a doubt!!!! read more

A really cool quaint place in Middletown, OH. I'm not from the area but I've heard that this was the place to be. I hosted my community event here for United Way and it was an amazing turnout! Folks came from all over the area. The staff is extremely kind and helpful. They have an extensive menu which includes lunch and breakfast and snack options. Currently they are drive thru only but it's still amazing though I can't wait to be able to go in and chill with a great coffee and a yummy treat. I needed an extra kick so I swung by and grabbed a large Highland Grog (probably one of my favorite coffees). I was feeling a little peckish so I asked the girls what baked goods they had. Once she said pumpkin muffin I was sold. This muffin was huge and might just be the most moist (sorry for those of you who hate that word) muffin I have ever had. I took my coffee and muffin to Smith Park and had a beautiful start to my day by the pond with an excellent cup of coffee and a scrumptious muffin. Such a beautiful space! And it's huge. there are rooms for gatherings and games, tables and booths, comfy chairs. I don't go to Middletown often, but this place makes me consider it. There are all sorts of doodads on huge bookcases. I'm not sure if they were for sale or decoration but it was a lot of fun to look. I had a green rose tea that was exotic and delicious. I hung out for a good long time and did not feel hurried or like anyone was hoping I'd leave. Pretty laid back. I think a group of older women were in another room playing their regular game of cards. I didn't see the space before Triple Moon moved into the building, but seeing it now, I can imagine how it was when the tin ceiling was new. Definitely worth the drive. I did not see any vegan/dairy treats available for those sourcing foods for a special diet. I didn't ask, though. Maybe they were squirreled away. read more

I stopped in here for a hot cup of tea when I was in the neighborhood. They have a nice selection of loose leaf teas. I opted for the peppermint tea. It was very good. The place is spacious and has a nice coffee shop ambiance. They also had some delicious looking baked goods, but I didn't try any since it was right before I was going to dinner. They also have some sandwiches and things. I would love to stop in here for lunch next time I'm in town. The service was excellent and the guy helping us was very knowledgeable about the teas. This was my first visit to Triple Moon. I was in town getting my hair done and wanted to take a coffee to my stylist on the chilly morning. After doing some Yelp scouring, I found Triple Moon with lots of stars and yummy looking coffees and food! My daughter and I went inside. We only waited about a minute and were greeted with lots of cheer upon reaching the counter. The barista took our orders and then was very helpful answering a question. I knew kind of what my stylist liked but wasn't sure what to get her so she suggested a combination of the two flavors I suggested. The servers were so polite and appeared to love what they do! We finished our order and waited for our drinks. As it was a Saturday morning, there were about 4 orders ahead of us. There are many things to choose for besides coffee so some of the orders that came out were coffee, some teas, some foods and even smoothies. I ordered a Milky Way latte, my daughter ordered a Milky Way frozen drink (with no coffee) and I ordered my friend a White Chocolate pumpkin spice latte. I used the restroom while waiting and it was clean and refreshing. The atmosphere of the restaurant was calm, kind of retro and just a place that I want to return to and relax. I had been hearing whispers of Middletown slowly revamping their downtown area, but I wasn't given the chance to check it out for myself until last week, when a family member was admitted to Atrium Medical Center. There was a lot of sitting around and waiting, so I decided to log into yelp and see if there was anything in the area worth checking out. I have a weakness for two things: book stores and coffee shops. The very first thing to pop up was Triple Moon. I scrolled through some of the existing reviews and photos; looks cute! I showed my mom, who loves coffee shops just as much, and we agreed it was worth popping in. When we pulled up, I was already impressed from the vibe I was getting from the exterior. Charming and quant. The inside is much larger and more open than I was anticipating. There was ample seating and the vast majority of the people there looked like regulars and larges groups just hanging out having quiet conversation. This would make a wonderful place to study. It doesn't hurt that Cincinnati State Middletown is right around the corner! The decor was somewhat eclectic, with feels of a typical intimate coffee shop mixed with an old soda shop (referring to the counter, although another review confirmed that it was a pharmacy counter) with what felt like Wiccan undertones. Medium sized menu with a handful of the basics and a handful of more unique flavors. Extra points for having non-dairy milks! One suggestion: consider adding coconut milk to your line up. More and more places are carrying it and with good reason; some stay away from soy and almond milk is rather watery, so drinks tend to lose their creaminess. The barista was friendly, helpful and definitely patient, as my father who was also with us is a tad hard of hearing and kept repeating himself over and over thinking she couldn't hear him, when she definitely did the first time around. I got a peppermint mocha frappé, my father ordered a butterscotch latte and my mother decided on the Ghirardelli mocha latte. All of us agreed that the flavors were amazing! My parents both loved their lattes and said the texture was perfect. The reason for my four stars instead of five is simply because the texture of my frappé was off. It was much closer to the consistency of a slushie than a frappé. Hopefully this is something they can perfect in the future. Regardless, I would return in a second! Enjoyable trip. read more

I don't find myself in this part of town very often, but I was in downtown Middletown waiting for something else to open and can rarely resist the urge to check out a coffee shop. As far as coffee shops go this one is nice, albeit it stereotypical even down to the bumper sticker mantras posted all over the place. The price are fair, the coffee I had was decent. It may seem silly, but my only complaint is that I wanted a 12 oz cold brew and their smallest size is 16 oz. Some places don't offer 8 oz cups, but I've never seen a coffee shop without a 12 oz option. Not a big deal and definitely not a knock against them, just a bit odd. read more
