This place definitely seemed to have that neighborhood hangout kind of vibe. Sort of like a local version of an Applebee's or TGI Fridays. Decent menu options without being overwhelming. Nothing too fancy; the food choices were your typical American fare: burgers, sandwiches, pizza, etc. I got the fish tacos with beans and rice and a tall IPA. The spicy sauce was a nice touch. Many weeks ago, me and my girlfriend met there to have a few appetizers and drinks. The drinks were fine but our appetizers were terrible. We went there this past weekend. I ordered a philly cheese steak sandwich but instead of getting the normal provolone cheese, I asked for it with cheddar instead. When my order came out, I noticed it wasn't right- it came with provolone cheese. The server acted like I was an idiot and asked me if I was sure it was provolone. Yes I was sure! So he said he'd go back in the kitchen and check. **15 minutes later*** he comes out with a piece of cheddar cheese on a plate, and hands it to me. Had a craving for wings, usually have had good luck with the Distillery on Mt. Hope and Greece, so decided to try the new Victor location. Bad choice. This was nowhere near the quality I have had at other locations. Ordered loaded fries ($8.99) and got a quantity of fries typical of McDonalds small fries with a few shreds of cheese and pulverized bacon. Certainly not worth the price. Ordered wings and they were typical of any of the hundreds of national chains that serve oversauced, gloppy wings. Nothing like the wings the Distillery had a reputation for. I have been to the Distillery half a dozen times and can't say I ever come away feeling like I had a satisfying meal. The last time I went I got a hamburger and had not previously liked it, but I thought it was worth another try. It was better, but not by much. Everything about the place is just ok. Located in a plaza, across from Eastview Mall. They have a great drink menu, but their dinner menu is really no different from other similar places. I do wish they would have something unique to their chain, on the menu. I do like that they have a larger appetizer section of the menu, than most. The service is great. Prices are very reasonable. I had a terrible experience. I ordered 3 appetizers and a buffalo chicken wrap. One of the appetizers was wrong and came out after we were done w our entire meal. My chicken wrap was incorrect as well and when we told the manager these two issues she said, yes I know. The server rang them in wrong. The service , cleanliness and atmosphere are positives. The HUGE issues are cost and portion size. We've taken our family to the distillery a few times and the check is typically over $60. This past Friday we went to the Winton Rd location and my wife and I had French fries while our 3 kids split two kids meals. The bill came to $62 without a tip factored in and my wife and I had water for drinks. Way too costly when there are numerous other options out there. This place is about a mile from our house, so we tend to head there spontaneously, maybe 2 or 3 times a month for the last couple of years. I'm pretty picky, but I have to commend The Distillery - I have never been disappointed. The wings are tasty, the martinis are good (nice and cold), pizza, ribs, and burgers are great. I love the sweet potato fries too. The wine selection leaves me wanting, but this is a pub-type place, so I don't expect much on that front. It's always packed from Thursday - Sunday, so Monday or Tuesday nights are best if you don't want to wait for a table for an hour or so. We were quickly greeted and seated. The place is beautiful. Lots of TVs if you wanna watch the games. I brought my wife and two girls 5 and 3. The booths are huge and comfortable. The appetizers all looked delicious but we went with the fried green beans with a Cajun dipping sauce and an order of deviled eggs. Both were good. Our main course was 2 pretzel burgers and grilled cheese split between the girls. The pretzel bun was great and chewy. The jalapeño relish was great and the burger delicious. The sweet potato fries were thick and yummy. One of the best features *per my wife is the women's bathroom she had to take both the girls and in the handicap stall it had its own sink so she could deal with them. Wow. This is my first 1 star review. Im usually not hard to please. At first i was upset by the decieving name. I thought a placed called the distillery would have there own beer. They dont. Ud at least than hope that they have a crazy awseomej beer selection. They dont. The food took over an hour to come out and no drinks were refilled. When the food did come out the orders were preatty jacked up. I got the garlic cajun wings and they were extreamly under cooked and flavorless. I felt like i was gonna fall out from salmonella any second. The bill didnt come out any sooner. The first time I went here, I had the poutine and it was very disappointing. I didn't expect it to be the authentic Canadian thing but it didn't even taste good on its own merit. I went a second time for a work event and just got a salad. It was nothing special though it didn't taste bad. The restaurants peers are Applebees, Chilis, TGI Fridays etc. There's a Chili's about 2 miles down the road from The Distillery so I would recommend that instead since Chili's is a tried and true version of this class of restaurant. If you don't like the above named chains, you definitely won't like this place. Never going back. read more

When we called the restaurant the owner was the one to answer he explained that our food had been done for a half hour at that point without me saying anything said i will get started on remaking your food. We called the driver and he explained that he was not going to be able to pick our food up after the order was confirmed through the website. We called the establishment back and informed him that we would be driving in to pick the food up. The owner personally walked the food out to us apologized for the inconvenience and gave us a business card in case we needed anything else. HEY DUMB PEOPLE! Why any of you would think the word "Distillery" has anything to do with brewing beer is baffling. Pull out that dictionary and look up distillation (wikipedia is obviously too advanced for you). That being said, this place does not provide homemade moonshine. Sorry to dash those hopes, but I think that would be classified as illegal. The Distillery is a nice sports bar. The menu has way too many things on it, but that also means there is something for everyone. All the food I had or saw was very good. The service was friendly and thorough. All in all, this is good all around bar/restaurant and would go again to get drinks and good bar food. read more

Service was great, but we had to wait about 20 minutes for a table. With a wait like that, you normally expect something good. I went because we had a 2 for 1 coupon. It was very noisy and the food was tasteless (my wife's mac & cheese lacked flavor, and my steak dip sandwich also lacked seasoning). I had the house made potato chips which also lacked salt. It left me wondering what draws people to the place. While the architecture isn't conducive to noise reduction (kind of modern industrial), it's multiplied by the TVs playing various sports channels. However, when it comes to the food, a little salt and pepper (for starters) would go a long way in improving the flavor of the dishes we ordered. read more

This is a great place to meet with friends, enjoy a great selection of draught, and enjoy the game. The atmosphere is warm, clean, and spacious. The food is good. Always hot, fresh, and comes out very quickly. It's not fine dining so keep your expectations in check. The wings are the best in the area, hands down. The service is excellent but not personable. Having visited all of the Distillery locations frequently, this location should take a page out of the Winton location. The bar staff is very friendly at Winton and seems to know everyone by name that walks in the door. Dined here last weekend during our visit to Fairport for a hockey tournament. Fantastic family restaurant! They happily accommodated more than 40 of us for dinner and the service was great. The staff at this location were friendly, quick to serve our drinks as well as our appetizers and mains. They had an area arranged for our kids to eat at so that they could enjoy their meals together as a team and the parents could relax, socialize or watch live sports from one of their many TV screens. Staff consistently checked in with the families to ensure everything was satisfactory (even among the table of boisterous 9-10 year old kids). I ordered the Steakhouse Salad which was cooked at medium rare and it was delicious (dressing on the side). Their Bacon Cheddar burger and Caesar combo was also a hit. The distillery has been our go to restaurant for years. Either it be the Greece location when we lived there or the victor location where we live now. The food is hit or miss. Not the highest quality but its tasty. My biggest issue with this place is that with the kids menus the soda comes free but you have to pay of you want milk or juice. My daughter is 3. She is NOT getting soda. The other issue i have is that they charge for condiments. If I say I want ranch instead of blue cheese or vice versa I should not get charged. I will however take the charge out of the waitresses tip. If enough of is do this the restaurant will change. read more

The atmosphere is very nice - comfortable, plenty of seating at bar and dining area. Also has a very nice patio area, the wait staff is friendly and knows the menu. The food is okay to good, the prices are quite high for what you are getting. I ordered a Greek salad with chicken - it was missing 2 ingredients listed on the menu, there was maybe a 1/4 breast of dry chicken, and the romaine was yellowing. The Salads at Wendy's or McDonalds are 10 times better. the wings were hot and tasty.... We will probably go back - mainly because it's on our way home, but might stay away of the salads. read more
