Let's start off by saying you could get more for $70 at Wegmans and be happier than you would eating this food. The atmosphere is blah at best, and the music made it 10x worse. When asking the bartender to change the music the resounding answer was no as well. Horrible.......imagine early 90's break up music LOUD and obnoxious the whole time. The food was nasty, and I don't know how you could mess up a grilled chicken sandwich, but they did. The chicken piece could fit in the palm of my hand it was so small. Busy day today, no time to prepare dinner. Ordered Tex-Mex takeout w/ fries. Got home, took one bite! Nothing but a chunk of burnt animal flesh. I mean burnt! It went in the trash, I made a cheese sandwich. This is the second time in two attempts I patronized Flaherty's that I got a terrible meal. The last time I tried, I got their French Dip. The meat in that meal was very over cooked (hard as a rock around the edges) I wrote it off. I'm done, this is the last time I patronize Flaherty's. Went early on a Sunday afternoon (3:30 - 4:00) Place was not busy at all and was staffed properly. Ordered grilled chicken sammy with fries and patty melt with fries. One would think that since fries are deep fried the would have 1/2 a chance of coming out hot.......was not even close. Both sammys were warm at best. This should not be so difficult given the time of day/minor number of customers and abundant staff. Waitress did not check on us until bill time, another local establishment with mediocre (at best) "service/food", will not return! read more

I would say Flaherty's isn't terrible, it's just not memorable. It's your typical bar food with an Irish flare. Our server was friendly enough, and food came out warm. We have been here a few times and keep forgetting what we got. I wouldn't turn anyone away from trying it. read more

The Italian wedding soup was about the only decent item we ordered- which was really disappointing- we are new homeowners nearby and we're really hoping this would be our "go-to" place, but unfortunately it won't be. Had a pot roast special that was had a lot of fat and fell below the bar in flavor. My partner had a burger which he said was ok...but nothing spectacular. The restaurant is pretty drab in ambiance and just seemed like no one cared about the upkeep. Service was fair. Pretty disappointing overall. read more

We really want to like this place. They've expanded over the years and it's great inside. Unfortunately, every time we go, we were either forgotten about or our food comes out wrong. This latest time we literally didn't get waited on for close to 30 minutes (not busy at all). We asked several times, and they never gave us to a server. We finally got our food, and it was OK however a salad and a wrap were over $20 apiece. There are other options out there that are far less expensive for what we got, imo. read more

We've been going to Flaherty's Macedon location since the late 1980s. It's consistently one of our favorite pubs and pub-meal places in the area. Since expanding, there's always enough room and the bar is large and spacious. Service is great with many people having been there a long time. Always clean as well. We've taken many out of town guests there for a good meal. Beer list rotates and the bartenders make great old school drinks. read more

The best part about Flahertys (aka Flags) is the beer list. They rotate new and fresh beers on draft and in cans all the time. They will frequently have Beer Tree cans, go-to Other Half on draft and even Heady Topper and Focal Banger amongst others. Food is solid. Sometimes great, sometimes average. Buffalo chicken wrap is a go-to. Burgers are solid and wings are good (must order crispy). Bought by Bill Grays a while back and the corporate touch shows it's pricing and standardization of its menu. Prices are all about 10-20% too high. Great Irish pub atmosphere and excellent service... The food was good but nothing to write home about. The turkey club wrap was very tasty but didn't stand out from the crowd. My chili and my wife's soup were both good but, again, not stand outs... The chili was on the cool side and a bit bland. I get that most people don't like burn your face off chili but some spices would be good... Of course, I ordered chili in an Irish pub so that one might be on me... Had lunch at Flaherty's yesterday. I chose the French Dip (I've had there before) and it was terrible! The meat was very overcooked and the bun was stale and falling apart. I have to say the service was very well done on our last visit. We had to wait for a table, that was fine but my husband got left in the lobby while I was seated. Separated, I told the waitress but I guess that was not a concern. Then I texted to ask what he wanted to drink and that is when he realized I was seated and he was looking for me, so strange that happened. Drinks flowed nice. Server gave us time between each course. Nice they did not rush us seeing they were so busy. The only disappointment was the fish was awful after a couple of bites. I think it was the beer batter. Over cooked and no taste to it. We were full from the drinks and appetizer. I had rice instead of fries and that was wonderful. The coleslaw was good as well. I still enjoyed the fried green beans. What a great in itself! Bravo! I did not get the server name but she was excellent. Being it was busy and she still managed to keep us happy. Thank you for that. Went to Flahertys last night table of 11. They gracesly put tables together for us. Nice atmosphere, waitress was fantastic and on point. I got a flag burger which has carm onions and jalapeños with tots, draft and espresso martini and everything was great! Highly recommend. read more

We've come here frequently as we live nearby and go out to eat often. We have always enjoyed the food and the service. In the past 6-12 months we've noticed the food is becoming richer, more cream sauces , heavy use of butter, thicker pizza crust etc. As we prefer to eat lighter we have been coming less ,preferring to eat where there are healthier options. Tonight we ordered a Chicken Florentine Soup along with dinner but it was loaded with thick cheese and cream sauce. We asked if it could be taken back as it would not have been eaten. The Server charged us for the soup anyway. When I asked her about that she took the check back and returned it to us with the soup removed and a side salad added! I would have rated tonight's experience a 1 star but since we have had many good meals here I rated based upon that. read more

I love Flaherty's and visit about once a month with my father or sister. The staff is always friendly, wait times for food are quick, the restaurant is clean, and menus offer many choices. Tonight was a bit different than usual. When we arrived at the table, the table and booth seats were wet which is not the worst thing that could happen but is not very comfortable. At least I know they are cleaning well!! A Sprite was ordered, forgotten about, and was not remembered until my sister brought it up when her entree came that she had ordered a Sprite. Father's chicken on the chicken parm sandwich was not done, and tasted "hard". Thankfully our waiter allowed him to switch out his order for something, a veggie burger, which he loves from here!! So there's a plus. My Flaherty Plate was delicious as always, they give you an abundance of your two side orders, it is amazing. So, besides the forgotten Sprite (hey!! Was in town for one night and looked for a place to satisfy my wing craving. Flaherty's certainly met the need. Huge place with plenty of TV'S around the bar, streaming college games. Bartenders were super busy, but expected for Saturday night dinner hour. Great beer selection, wings were large and well cooked. Only possible complaint are the prices. $1.80+ per wing is steep, even for a NJ native. Other than that, great local place. read more

Service is exceptional I started going there because they could actually cook steak to the proper temperature and the lobster bisque. But cooking to proper temperature is a fluke at best one cook can do it the other care only hit rare or well done. The other cook couldn't medium with a thermometer and a chart. I know this I've been there often and asked the server which cook is on. Even knowing this it can't save the other cook. A bad cook is always a bad cook. Put him back on the fryers take him off the grill. Only buy steaks 1/2 inch thick or greater or there is only two temperatures you can hit well and rare. Maybe that's why there's only one steak on the menu you know you can't be consistent other than arbitrarily asking for customers for temperature and you guess and pray. Quick etiquette question for you! We usually love your restaurant for the eclectic crowd, vibrant atmosphere and great food choices. We go there perhaps 8 times a year, so we are regulars but not your weekly crowd. Tonight the three of us ordered different dinners. My 94 year old mom ordered the fish fry and loved it, bringing a large portion home for tomorrow. My spouse had the scallops and liked them as his favorite entree in your restaurant. I ordered the shrimp Alexander, a new dish for me. It had all the ingredients I like so I figured it was for me. For whatever reason I did not like it. Whether the bacon grease, or the light sauce with spinach and feta cheese, I just could not eat it. My spouse said I was crazy and took a forkful for a positive taste. What should a restaurant patron do when they dislike what they ordered? Our young, bearded waiter was very good and pleasant in every way. Should I have said anything or should I just wrap it up for my spouse for tomorrow? What is standard restaurant etiquette in this situation. Honestly, it hasn't happened to me before since I usually find all food good, and have a healthy appetite. This place was another dinner stop on our New York road trip. One of my foodie must haves on this road trip was to have a " garbage plate ". Flaherty's version of it was called a Flaherty's Plate. I had a choice of baked beans, macaroni salad, french fries, or tater tots. I chose the tots and macaroni salad. This was so good! The "hot sauce" gravy stuff was awesome and really had a good spicy kick to it. It did not disappoint at all. I topped it off with a slice of cheese cake. My husband had a bowl of chili which was served with tortilla chips and he enjoyed it. I loved the restaurant and bar area we sat in. We enjoyed the banter between the locals and learned about the history of the restaurant. The tall blonde waitress is always in a hurry. When we recently went there I didn't even get my coat off and she's asking what we want to drink.
