Nestled in a plaza that you may not even take a second glance at but trust me, you should. If you want a diner with a hometown feel this is the place. Every person was so friendly! Smiling & kind. A great dining experience, always! Today's breakfast was delicious, just like every dining experience here. My breakfast favorite is The Plaza omelette, made with egg whites & home fries with onions. My husband's favorite is the bagel breakfast sandwich with egg, ham, and cheese. I have dined here for lunch as well and have enjoyed every visit to this hometown diner. We've enjoyed various menu items and all have tasted delicious. The owner and wait staff are very personable and make you feel welcome. Clean environment. Family friendly. I have dined here with my five grandchildren. They brought out complimentary orange slices for the kids as well as coloring books & crayons, while we were waiting for our meals to be prepared. West Wayne Diner is an unassuming but very good sized community diner and gathering place. With good reason: They have a good menu and great food. Sundays the magic hour for gathering seems to start around 9. They filled up fairly quickly. Hours are 5A-2P Tuesday thru Sunday. Along with the more typical fare they have a few nice surprises: Breakfast Links are proper "bangers" - fat, rounded links as opposed to the more typical slender cylinders from Jimmy Dean, Bob Evans, etc. Lean and meaty. Ham - they give you a reasonably thick slice of cut off the ham REAL Ham, not deli-meat. Now for the Bonus surprise offering: Banana Nut Bread and Pumpkin Bread French Toast. Thick, decadent slices, available with eggs, meat, and even home fries or hash browns if you're that hungry. Coffee is decent and they try to keep the mugs full. A wide variety of Smucker's jellies and jams, orange marmalade to go with a good selection of toasts including both rye and pumpernickel. I can't give zero stars, but that's what they deserve. My husband and I came in here on Friday for breakfast around 10am. We ordered two coffees and asked if they had flavored creamers. They said they did, but it would cost extra. The coffee arrived and it tasted watered down. It was as if they again were trying to make extra money with subpar product. The food came and it was good. I really can't complain about that. The problem that we had with West Wayne restaurant was that we left the waitress a tip, and she added an extra digit to it. Obviously we didn't know until the next day. I felt very violated!! We called them and the waitress admitted that she stole from us! She said to call back at 9am to speak to the owner. We called back and he said that we could come back and get the money that was stolen off my debit card, but we don't live out that way and happened to be passing through. read more

Located in a plaza; Greek, Canadian, and American flags don the front of the menu. The menu has a few Greek dishes, nothing Canadian and a whole lot of American. I ordered a reuben, which was served piping hot, a good amount of corned beef (not sure if they pre-grilled the meat, but it had tightened up and although thinly sliced slightly tough). The dressing was delicious. My friend ordered the chicken ceasar wrap which came with a slew of fries and big chunks of chicken. We sampled the house pastitsio, served with rice which was fabulous. The side greek salad was fresh and delicious. The pastitsio was tender, flavorful and slathered with a hearty bechamel. We also sampled the spinach roll. A gem of a family diner, in the middle of nowhere. Located in a strip mall which has seen better days, this family run enterprise is a nice place to eat. The menu is huge, and the quality is amazing for the prices being charged. Service is friendly, the kitchen is quick, and the food is really delicious. The focus is on American diner cuisine, with a Greek flavor. Sandwiches, salads, soup, and breakfast is what you go for, although I understand the Friday fish fry is pretty special too. read more

Welcome to Macedon. Cow town U.S.A. Why am I here? Because my parents live here. It is a quiet and quaint location for them to enjoy their retirement. Finding a 5 star joint in Macedon is most likely going to be..... a challenge. The West Wayne is connected to an old plaza which contained an Ames department store which has been abandoned for a long time. They are a family run joint and have a varied menu for all three meals of the day. Our very sweet but extremely clueless waitress attempted to keep us happy. She took a significant amount of time to take our order. Food came out very slow. I ordered New England clam chowder and I got Beef Barley. The waitress refilled my Arnold Palmer, I told her what it was and she brought me unsweetened tea. She brought us an additional set of silverware that we didn't ask for. The Friday fish fry is very popular in Rochester so I went for the WW version. Both myself and my dining partners ordered some form of fish and it was definitely fresh. Each entree came with a vegetable (Sysco mixed veggie special) potato, soup or salad. The soup was homemade. I thought the NE Clam chowder was very good. Would order again. The salad was an iceburg mix. Meh I had the beer battered fish which was a very generous portion. I thought it was very crispy and delicious but the coating came off very easily. Kraft tartar sauce packets. No lemons included. I asked for cole slaw as my veggie and it was pretty good. The fries were awful. Really big, undercooked, soft and mushy. I didn't eat most of them. I have heard breakfast is good here. Very popular. I bet there are several things they make well here. I am not running back here for sure but for the local crowd I am sure this is a fine option. read more

Went here this morning. Portions were pretty big for the price. I am happy with the food quality. I went with a friend and their food wasn't to their expectations, however mine was great. Scrambled Eggs, Sausage Links, Hash Browns and White Toast rounded out with a nice mug of Hot Cocoa. Definitely going to try lunch here some time. read more

Was in town for a visit with an old friend. He took me out for breakfast and we landed here. He had some hash and eggs, where I went with the banana walnut pancakes and 2 eggs. His choice is a regular for him and that was my 1st experience with those pancakes. Well I was very pleased. They were delicious. The orange juice was good but not fresh squeezed. Prices seemed fair but I was not allowed to pay on this visit; it was the friends treat. The food was good and service even better. Service with a smile. If you like dirty, trashy and unsanitary this is the spot for you. If you want undercooked pancakes and tables with mountains of used napkins under them go on in I know this is a hole in the wall in a nearly empty plaza but at least properly cook the food all the way threw and serve it hot. Not once did I get asked how the food was. Let alone why the butter didn't melt on my ice cold plate. But at least they gave out a family size bottle of Wal-Mart creamer. read more
