The food I got was good. Crab cakes and Brussels sprouts appetizers were both good, the sprouts were great, not overcooked, charred with Smokey bacon and balsamic glaze. I'd get them again. I got the mushroom carbonara rigatoni as a main with a side of blistered green beans. The carbonara was delicious, super creamy and the mushroom sauce was nice. We're in town from San Diego, CA, relocating to Webster, NY, and after a long day of house hunting, we stopped by Label 7 and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of food! The atmosphere was casual and welcoming, which was perfect after a busy day of looking at homes. We started with the brussels sprouts -- they were a bit overcooked, but honestly, everything else made up for it. The rest of the meal was fantastic: fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The prices were also very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. We really appreciated how well-priced everything was, especially considering the great flavors and variety on the menu. This is not a "bad " 3.0 rating.. More of a 3.5... as I now know what and how to order here. A separate dining area looks nice with bar area with tables and a two tiered bar. 3 TV ' s and about 20 seats at the bar. Staff is nice. So I ordered a simple mixed drink ...which was okay....but I would order a glass of wine or something neat ...as my cocktail was a bit weak....not bad -but noticeable. Food was okay....flat breads looked great along with burgers! My salmon was good..not fishy but to my surprise ...more rare to medium rare and the broccoli was bit firm... again good . But I would order the salmon medium. I look at these things as a learning curve here. Bar is nice, games on TV had closed captioning, music and noise is tolerable as you can easily have a conversation. THESE are the really good things. Plus the staff is nice! As a massive fan of Label 7's sister restaurant, Native, in downtown Rochester, I expected to be impressed by lunch here. We came Saturday in the mid-afternoon to a completely empty restaurant that seemed surprised that we were even there--maybe we just came at a bad time, but the party who entered before us had to go find someone to come and seat our two groups. The bartender, Matt, waited on us in addition to covering the (empty) bar, and kept our table water carafe full. The vibe of the space is similar to Native, with an upscale rustic vibe with woven chairs and an indoor-outdoor bar area. That's about where the similarities to Native end. We ordered the caramelized onion dip, which was sub-par--the onions were stringy and not caramelized, and the base of the dip was a combination of sour cream and cream cheese that overwhelmed any other flavor. My dad got the "berries and cream" wrap, which he said was... fine. It came with plain, very stale (nearly inedible) chips, and we left most of those on the plate. My mom ordered a burger that was so bog-standard that I didn't even take a picture of it. My entree was the best thing we ordered by far--a BLT with a fried green tomato for the T, served on toasted brioche with a nice herbed aioli and some pretty solid truffle fries. Overall, we didn't get any of the purported "Napa" influence of the restaurant, and were pretty soundly disappointed by the food flavor and execution of what we did get. Our son just wrapped up his freshman year at Fisher and we've found a spot we'll def return to. Loved the food, especially the Caesar with the almonds and the mac n cheese. The Malbec was smooth and our waitress was super sweet and accommodating. The atmosphere was chic casual albeit a tad loud (acoustics weren't great where we were at a table in the bar area). This past year we've been a bit hard pressed to find places we like when we've come up so bravo...see y'all in the fall! read more

Decided to try Label despite some of the negative reviews we saw and we were SO GLAD we did. We've now dined here twice and both times we have had no complaints. Great mix of price-points across the menu. We've had the Cajun Salmon, Hot Honey Chicken, BBQ Burger, and Cheddar Biscuits. Plus several different beverages. All the dishes were stellar!!! I had a solid snack and drink session with a few members of my family at Label 7 this past Friday! I was pretty struck by the decor here - it is almost beachy and laid out in a really interesting way. We sat in the downstairs portion of the restaurant away from the bar. It was about 2:30pm when we arrived and there was maybe one or two other parties sitting at that time. It is a really lovely spot and I am looking forward to going back for date night someday. We went with snacks to share - the tasting board, grilled wings, and some fried green tomatoes. Everything was absolutely delicious (I didn't try a wing) and I especially enjoyed the homemade ricotta on the tasting board. My margarita was tasty and light, with some chili salt around the rim, and everyone else around the table was really impressed by their cocktails as well. Prices were more than fair, and the menu for both lunch and dinner is great if you've got some picky folks or varied palates at the table. The reason for the four stars instead of 5 is for the service. Our server was so kind and great, the pace was just really slow considering the lack of people in the restaurant. It was about 15 minutes for our drinks and our food came a short bit after that. No biggie and maybe it was just the time we were there. I came across this restaurant while my daughter was attending school in the area. It is located on the Erie Canal. We ordered two large plates and my husband's pork shank included two veggie sides but my short rib ragu did not. We started with a tasting plate that included herbed ricotta, a couple of hard cheeses, olives, warm pitas, spiced nuts, two different cured meats, and mostarda. It was a nice blend of sweet and salty. The plantain gnocchi dish was delicious. It included tender beef short ribs and was topped with herbed ricotta. The pork shank was root beer braised and fall-off-the-bone tasty. The root beer gave a slightly sweet flavor. Tender and delicious. Served with butternut squash puree and roasted Brussels sprouts. The bread pudding was underwhelming. It was actually burnt around the edges. The inside was decent but I was surprised that it was served with a blackened, bitter crust. Yes, I tasted it. The lighting is relatively low so although my first clue that it was burnt was how crunchy it was under my fork, the bitter taste left no doubt. Service was excellent. The past three times I have been there this winter in 2025 have not been great! The bar will be crowed which is great...but the owner turns the heat down....i believe between 7:30-8:30. It gets too cold and the staff has no control only the owner who operates it remotely. The last time I was there it was 8:00pm on Thursday night....it was so cold in the bar area where we ate...that we had to put our coats on to finish our drinks! Then we left to go to Pittsford Pub for a drink instead of staying. We had to walk over a floor that had been mopped with a bleach smell and was wet just to leave! The bartenders were very nice but the place empties out because of this. Because of this practice I will not be returning in winter months! read more

Went for an early dinner on a Saturday before heading to The Aud for a show. I had the Caesar salad with grilled salmon and a traditional Negroni. I love salmon, and this was one of the best pieces of salmon I've ever eaten. Grilled to perfection to form a crust on the outside, leaving the inside buttery soft. Quality veg in the salad - everything was nice and crisp. The Negroni was excellent. If I had more time, I would have opted for the Negroni flight. I just checked the menu again, and it looks to rotate. Love that. Makes me all the more eager to go back to try more items. Everyone's plate at my table looked delicious. This is a superior option in Pittsford. I'd recommend it to anyone. The upscale casual vibes translate to a variety of occasions - from date night to family dinner. Had dinner on a beautiful summer evening with a very good friend. We sat outside, enjoying the outdoors, sunshine and our view along the canal. We had a wonderful server Lilly, who was personable and very attentive to our needs. We each had a drink, shared the crab cake appetizer (which was delicious) and our burgers were done to perfection! We lingered long after we finished dinner enjoying the evening, our conversation and were unexpectantly treated to front row seating of the new pedestrian bridge going by being hauled by barges on the canal on its way to Buffalo. My fiancée and I stopped in here for an early dinner on our way to dance class. I didn't have any expectations going in but I was pleasantly surprised with the food and service we received. To start, we got the lettuce wraps which were phenomenal. We're a huge fan of peanut sauce and that mixed with crispy chicken, crunchy noodles and pickled carrots were awesome and not too over filling. My fiancée also got the Moscow mule. It was delicious, but the ginger was really strong. I feel like they used either a ginger liquor or fresh ginger instead of ginger beer because it was a super strong ginger taste. Either way, it was good but not what we were expecting. For our main courses I got the steak salad with blue cheese dressing and my fiancée got the burger and truffle fries. The steak salad was killer, the steak was perfectly cooked, I can't complain about anything. Unfortunately, the burger was definitely over cooked. She ordered it medium rare and it came out well-done. Everything else on the burger was great, my fiancée ended up taking the patty off the burger and eating the rest. The truffle fries were out of this world though, I honestly can't stop thinking of them and can't wait to get more. Food quality was good but I'm not one partial to a Napa Valley eclectic menu, especially in Pittsford NY. I think it is more geared towards a younger crowd mostly female, who enjoy such a menu. I like a hearty traditional American menu, not salads and wraps. Just my preference as my Turkey wrap had too much feta or blue cheese. Couldn't tell really. The potato chips were nothing spectacular. I would have preferred an option of macaroni or potato salad, vole slaw or fries, overall a nice place outside for lunch. Interior looked pleasant as well. I won't be back but that's just because it's not the food selection I am looking for. I'm sure others would find it more than satisfying to their palettes. You can talk to the person next to and directly across from you but that's about it as the room acoustics are poor. There might've been 6 tables with patrons but it sounded like 50. So there's that. Food: several of us ordered the special market steak (a 14 oz strip) and it arrived with fingerling potatoes and asparagus. Everything was cooked to perfection except for the fact that there was an INCREDIBLE layer of SALT on the entire plate. Every single bite of anything just screamed ... SALTY!!! We all agreed on that fact so it wasn't that someone dropped the shaker on my plate. Honestly that is an amateur error and absolutely killed the meal of course. The Label 7 patio overlooking the canal is the perfect spot for a casual drink or snack when the weather is nice. I was here yesterday on a beautiful fall day and it was quite relaxing enjoying food and drink with a view. I found the service to be prompt and our food came out quickly. My girlfriend enjoyed her Bloody Mary and I was happy to see Space Kitty on tap. Food-wise, the fries ("frites") were amazing and maybe some of the best fries I've had in the city. They were sliced medium thin and had the perfect amount of crispiness to them without being too oily. They were also accompanied with blueberry ketchup. Yum! I came here the other night with my boyfriend and his family and we had a very nice time. We were seated right away with our reservation and we started with some drinks. I got the strawberry mojito and it was amazing! Very refreshing and I loved the light hint of strawberry that wasnt overpoweringly sweet. I ordered the ragu that came with plantain gnocchi and braised short rib topped with herb ricotta. It was so good!! The meat was tender and the sauce it was in was perfect. The gnocchi was delicious although some were a bit large (I ended up cutting them into smaller pieces) and they were very dense but altogether it worked well. The ricotta on top was a nice addition too! Others at the table got the burger, the truffle mac and cheese, and the Fresno steak salad. Everyone enjoyed their meals. I got to also try the steak salad and it was very good. The steak was cooked perfectly, although the piece was a bit small for such a large salad, and it came with craisins, bleu cheese, onion, spiced poached pears on a bed of lettuce and a cranberry balsamic vinaigrette. We also got the truffle fries on the side and they were amazing! The service was great, and we weren't rushed through dinner even though we sat talking for a little while longer. We had to ask for drinks to be refilled, to get to go boxes, to get the bill, etc. and we waited quite a while between steps before asking. Also, prices are a bit high. Also tried the crab fondue which had good size chunks of crab. I had the beet salad and flat iron steak. Steak was cooked perfectly medium as requested and seasoned well. Veggies it came with could have used some seasoning. The beet salad was tasty and filling but would have loved some more beets in it. Great view of the canal and the tables are socially distanced. Label 7 has a great split-level bar, with seating at one end where you reach down to the bartenders, and seats below where they are on your level. Kinduv neat. Although the food here was hit-or-miss, the cocktails by a young server named Jordan saved the day. More on that later... The crab cakes are good and the remoulade excellent. The haddock was decidedly NOT good, and would have knocked this experience down to a 2 or 3 were it not for the amazing cocktail. The fish had some small areas of discoloring that could have been freezer-burn. The accompanying grains and vegetables were bland, with no sauce to speak of to save this disappointing dish. Label 7 should scrap this recipe and start over. But the ginger-strawberry spritzer which Jordan called, Patio Pounder (personally, I'm re-naming it Singapore Sunrise, lol) was UH-MAZING. Light & not too fruity, heavily infused with ginger, and sparkling. This drink alone is worth the trip. read more
