Jimmy the Greek salad

We have enjoyed dining here for countless years! I came in for my birthday on 12/23, as promised to Sal. I always try to send business his way from the University of Rochester Athletics. He's super friendly and great to work with. We enjoyed the macaroni and cheese, Garlic Parmesan Wings and Jimmy the Greek Salad as well. The service was phenomenal and we look forward to returning.

Chicken fingers and burnt onion rings, chicken wings, nachos and Pierogies

So August 13, 2023 was my cousin birthday and we decided to go to MicGinny's on the River for the free wings and other food. So we ordered our food and when it came my onions rings were burnt. I'm like why won't the waitress serve food they will eat. When I told her, excuse me ma'am my onion rings way to cooked. They burnt. I cant eat these. She looked at me and said yea and left the table. I'm thinking she going to get me more onion rings. Nope. I didnt wanna make a scene about it cause it was my cousin birthday but that wasnt fair to me i had to pay for three chicken fingers and some burnt onion rings i didnt eat. 10 dollars it was. Thats crazy. Then we ask for a to go box to take the nachos we order. Only three nachos was eaten from it. We were goin to go home smoke and eat the nachos and relaxing. The waitress came and took our to go box full of nachos and threw them away. She did it so smooth we didn't even see her take it from the table. Then we asked her did she take our to go nachos and she was like oh it's down stairs. So we decided to follow her cause we like why would she take it? When we got downstairs she turned around to us and said I'll just take it off the bill. Why would you take our nachos and throw them away im still asking? No answer. Im shaking my head cause I wanted them nachos. That was crazy. Wasn't feeling her service. She really wasn't a good waitress. We had to wait for drinks, and refills. We needed napkins and other sauces. She acted really nerves and was forgetting things. It was weird. The wings we had were 10 hot sweet and 10 bourbon molasses and they were so good.

Off the normal routes and an excellent find! Amazing food, attentive service and friendly atmosphere. Definitely recommend visiting when in the region.

I don't understand why this place isn't more crowded. This bar has everything. Pool. Darts. Cheap drinks.* [What I hear is] Good food. Tons of flatscreens. Tons of room. A nice back patio. Legit leather couches that I would gladly sleep (read: pass out) on. A staff that rocks: the bartenders are sweethearts, and the bouncer is one of the nicest guys around. I know this not only because he kept wanting to talk about sports with us, but also because of how nice he was to some dude who clearly gets plastered there on the regular. When we walked in, I witnessed the following exchange. Lady Bartender: What can I get you? Dude: Baby, you know what I need... *tries to climb over bar* The bouncer came over, pulled him off the bar and assured us Dude was harmless. (We were not concerned.) About an hour later, the bouncer half-heartedly kicked Dude out of the bar. He came back in about 10 minutes afterward, and rocked out to Avril Lavigne (being played entirely too loudly for the number of patrons), Elaine-style, and fell to the floor in slow motion during one of the kicks. The other seven people in the bar pulled out camera phones. I like this place. _________ *$1.50 pounders of Busch and PBR. If you're a fancy boy who's too good for those, you can spring for the $2 pounders of LaBatt Blue.

This turned out to be a great choice! It was a beautiful, sunny day without being too hot, so we opted to sit outside. The staff was friendly and attentive, taking our order quickly and keeping our drinks refilled throughout the meal. We also really enjoyed the menu. It had plenty of interesting options beyond the typical restaurant fare. I ordered the cauliflower wings and originally planned on the sweet chili sauce, but our waiter recommended the chef's special sauce instead. I'm glad I took his advice because it did not disappoint! We also shared the pretzels with beer cheese dipping sauce, which were delicious. For our meals, we had a classic Caesar salad with blackened chicken, the soup and sandwich special, and two burgers. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. With our son now at RIT, I know we'll be making plenty of trips back to Rochester, and this is definitely a restaurant I'd happily visit again.

Tully's is a sports bar/restaurant, so there were wall to wall tvs in each room with a variety of sports games on. That's to be expected. We were greeted quickly by our waitress with a bowl of popcorn- which we ate all of! I ordered a "Tully's IPA" figuring it would be fresh on tap- it is discounted a bit. It was good- nice hops flavor and not too strong. Wifey had just water as she does nowadays. She ordered a Crunchy Asian chicken salad - she thought it was ok- romaine and grilled chicken (she asked for and got grilled vs. fried chicken tenders). It also had broccoli and cabbage and crunchy wonton strips in it as well. She wasn't the biggest fan of the dressing though. I had the Caribbean chicken sandwich. Pineapple Mango salsa and blackened chicken ima bun with loaded potato salad with bacon on the side. Not a bad sandwich. For being our last minute choice- Tully's was an ok backup plan that got us a quick dinner before our movie. For what it's worth- at a sports bar restaurant like this- I stick with sandwiches , burgers or wings and you usually can't go wrong. Tullys does all those rather well.

Let's begin with the coffee...it was smooth with a creamy texture. Excellent! The tea was very mild and soothing. I loved the glasses that held the tea and coffee. The Turkish toast had an egg over medium, mozzarella cheese, and Turkish sausage. The way it was served was neat and appealing. The taste was mild with just the right amount of flavor from the mozzarella and sausage combination. A little smoky and the toast was crunchy. I'd definitely recommend! We shared the breakfast plate that included olives, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, olives, ham, honey, feta or cream cheese, sausage, and boiled egg. It was fabulous! It wasn't huge but it was perfect for two people. The veggies were fresh and had some spices and olive oil. The jam was sweet and flavorful. The Turkish sausage was more like a smoked sausage and it was wonderful with the cheese and tomatoes. Don't make the same mistake we did the first time by walking out. The meal was full of flavors, textures, and served beautifully.

Based on our previous visit I was guessing roughly maybe $40 at best~but $97? I am hoping the owner reads this and forwards a phone call my way. I know there must be some mistake.

Explained that it was happy hour (she didnt tell me, I didnt know, and definitely would have ordered differently if I did). She brought their drinks right away as well. I think it was maybe because I was dining solo, so she was working harder for the larger parties for tips. Disappointing. I ordered French onion soup. It was lacking flavor. Warm, and cheesy, which is important but the broth watery. I also had some garlic buffalo wings. Some of the wings were great, but some were quite rubbery. Nothing here was terrible, no one was rude, nothing was dirty, etc etc but theres nothing making me want to come back.

The mozz sticks were nice crispy and had that cheese stretch which is always good. The tenders though, hand breaded which is nice but they were really overcooked, to the point the breading had that weird taste to it.
