Avocado Toast
Teresa C.

Food is good for lacto-ovo vegetarians but not pure vegetarians. There was only one viable option, avocado toast and it was just bread, with crushed avocado spinkled with fresh cilantro with a side of fruit. Servers are very nice but it is so busy that things are forgotten - I ordered a toasted sandwich to go but they forgot to toast it.

Delectable egg was breakfast stop on our way to Denver and it was an overall great meal. Our server was super attentive and friendly. The restaurant was busy but clean. We were however still seated right away. Everything was cooked perfectly, just a bit under seasoned for us. The cinnamon rolls are not made in house per our server when I asked about them but she highly recommended them so we ordered that too and it was massive but delicious.

Haven't been to this place in forever. The one downtown was the closest and the city is made parking downtown too expensive and too impossible. Not worth my time and effort, which is sad. Fast forward to. I just moved up north! So decided to try this location. it was fabulous! Lisa was a great waitress and very attentive. It's got a cute vibe. Looks like a nice patio when summer comes. I got the Lorraine crêpes which were fantastic! I love the combo of an omelette and a crêpe. I will be coming here often. Sorry I stayed away so long. Delicious!

I love it here-- the ambiance is so nice! It's so pretty in there and I love the water carafes on tables and the cute tiny personal coffee pots! Service was pretty fast and good and their food is yummy!! Also their kids menu is great, yummy choices and a great price, which is so nice! Their kid menus come with crayons and an activity type thing that is helpful with toddlers! Def recommend!

Service was great. Food was exactly what I wanted. I'd get the hashbrowns instead of the potatoes.

Mimosas and Bloody Marys were both decent, nothing spectacular, which was fine. We ordered 4 Bruschetta Boards, a Classic Remix, a What The French, a Kids Grilled Cheese, and a Kids "Picnic". All meals were excellent, served hot, and of a perfect size. Everything was consumed at the restaurant. The Classic Remix consisted of scrambled eggs, homemade tater tots, and sausage. The tots were crispy and the sausage was mild. The What the French was torn up pieces of French toast covered with a honey based sauce. The Bruschetta Boards provided a full assortment of the items offered. The favorite was the Sweet & Spicy Pepper Jam & Goat Cheese. The kids enjoyed their meals as well. The Picnic is nice as it's just sliced chicken, grapes, and apples. They ate it all! We finished with two orders of Donut Dots which is donut holes that are deep fried a little longer to make them a little crispy in a good way. Dipping sauces are provide; chocolate, vanilla, and carmel. Great service was provided by Aleia and supported by other staff members. A return trip is definitely needed.

The atmosphere is another highlight calm , cozy, and inviting with the feel of a comfortable home-style breakfast setting. For our meal I ordered the chicken fried chicken with gravy, scrambled eggs and potatoes while my spouse had a BLT with potatoes. The scrambled eggs and potatoes were well prepared and enjoyable and my spouse was satisfied with their dish except how her lettuce and tomatoes were soggy. Unfortunately the chicken fried chicken was undercooked. At the time I didn't immediately realize this as the texture seemed soft due to the gravy. It wasn't until later that I recognized the issue and I ended up feeling unwell after the meal. This was very disappointing and ultimately impacted my overall experience. While the service and ambiance were strong positives the food safety concern is significant. I hope the restaurant takes extra care in the kitchen moving forward.

Marta took cared of us and did a splendid job. We really appreciated her recommendations and looked to her for advice on the dessert menu as it was extensive. The steak was cooked to perfection with just right amount of seasoning. I didn't need any additional sauce but I heard the blue cheese crust and the bone marrow butter were both amazing, really added to their steaks. Most of us ordered the 10oz Wagyu New York. One of my favorite sides was the truffle frites that looked more like potato cubes, fried to perfection, so crispy and tasty. We also ordered the whipped potatoes and broccolini, also very good. The mood lighting is definitely adding to the upscale-ness of the restaurant, we were seated next to a cozy fireplace. Forgot to mention, we really loved the fried alligator and the beef Wellington bites as appetizers. The escargot was delicious but the snails were small without shells. Love that they added a small piece of pie crust or phyllo dough on top of the escargot to pick up the herb butter. The only thing, if I must complain, was the water. It reminded me a little bit like the swimming pool water, maybe it's PH balanced and my peasant palate was not used to it but our whole crew picked it up. The water at another fancy steak place was similar experience, so not sure if it was a steakhouse theme or just driving ppl to order other beverages... either way, it wasn't bad enough to take away a star, but be forewarned on the bleach-y water. The house made cheesecake, the crème brûlée, the biscoff mouse were all super tasty! Want to come back to check out their most ordered lava cake. Cheesecake "took the cake" for me, dense, creamy and fluffy at the same time... I know, contradictory descriptions but you have to try it to understand it. Thanks Hideaway for our bday celebration experience, definitely worth a visit if you haven't been! We will be back!!

Upon entering the restaurant it smelled of seafood which I thought was interesting. I would expect this from a place like Ocean Prime but not a steak heavy place. We walked through the booths which looked really nice but were sat in a different room towards the back. We ordered a bottle of wine and the mini beef Wellingtons to start. The meat was very tender. We split the 20oz ribeye steak and had the garlic whipped mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts. We had ordered the steak medium well but I feel that it was well done when we got it. The sides we ordered were great! We did order the truffle butter to go along with the steak (additional $7) which was ok. The steak itself was ok. It wasn't anything to bash about. We ordered the Nutella triangles for dessert and it was too sweet for me, very odd for me to say since I have a huge sweet tooth! Our waiter checked on us a couple of times. It wasn't that busy but it seemed that service was a bit slow. As far as pricing, I do think it's overpriced for what it is. There are 5 other steakhouses that I think have better quality and are not as expensive as here.

In fact, we didn't eat anything that wasn't well seasoned, cooked to order and authentically British. Not an easy find, if you ask me. The service is a little stiff and slow but what can you expect from a pub style restaurant. It can get pretty busy inside especially around holidays so definitely make a reservation if you plan on having a big party or don't want to sit at the bar. Scotch for her part said her Floridian French Toast was eye-poppingly good, even if it had too much fruit for me. The service was good--a bit too mindful sometimes, but I'd rather have someone who comes around a bit too often than not. We also liked that they leave the carafe of coffee at the table as that's usually what we need the most, refills. That's why I feel they could stand to come a bit less since they solved the refill problem. The ambience is great. I love the idea of community tables and wooden booths and tables everywhere. I also liked seeing the place but not super-packed so you can't get a seat quickly. Sometimes I think with breakfast places, they strive for lines out the door constantly, but I prefer a place that hovers at that good 70% to 80% capacity mark. I like being able to sit when I want to come but the place still doing well enough to be thriving. All in all, this place is great and I hope California gets their location soon.
