The one star is for the great service but the food was bad.... We ordered the steak and eggs, medium rare steak - it was cooked very well done and the worst piece of meat you could imagine. It tasted old.... And the poached eggs came with an egg shell about 1/3 the size of the egg. And they did not take the dish off the check so we ended up having to pay for it as well. I have been to Delectable Egg many times. I just went this morning with my 42 year old son, and thoroughly enjoyed it. I have a pork and onion allergy. The potatoes were so clean tasting with no seasonings or onions, and as told they were not prepared near pork foods. Also, whatever brand of coffee is being served now is SO much better than in the past. I loved it. Clean and just right. Thank you for making breakfast very enjoyable. read more

When I have to get up to ask for butter and syrup because our waitress ghosted on us,then sit for another 7 min wondering how long it take to get butter and syrup for pancakes. Only to have the girl I asked say it took so long because she was chit chatting in the back with our waitress. REALLY guys. I certainly like reading everyone elses reviews and I am bad about not leaving enough of my own so here we go. Sunday 10:40 and we are told 20-30 minutes. 40-45 minutes later we were seated. Yep, it's Sunday and the Race for the Cure was this morning and it was really busy so I can't score against that. Their were 4 in our party and the comments were mixed. I ordered the Wild Western omelet hoping for some heat but not so much. I must say that when they set it in front of me I thought, that's not much. But I can tell you I filled up on it. And it was quite tasty. Other reviews about the home fries are spot on, if you like that kind of potatoes you should like them. If/when we go back I will likely try something else because I did change my mind a time or 2 before ordering because the menu is lengthy. This place is really fabulous. The service is great. The servers are attentive and cheery. The atmosphere is lovely. They have both inside and outdoor seating. The menu is huge. I've never ordered anything I didn't love. My kids love their food-especially the fresh fruit. They keep them busy with cute activity pack while they wait for food. I had the California Benedict (poached eggs, English muffin, spinach, tomato, avocado and sauce) plus pesto based on the server's suggestion and it was the finishing touch to make the dish unique and delicious. Ordered online for pick up. It was on time at least. Got a sweet crepe, a breakfast burrito, and a cinnamon roll. Not happy with any of them. The burrito was extremely bland. I'm not sure they used any seasoning at all. I took 4 bites and called it. The house potatoes were savable with ketchup. The saving grace for the crepe was the Nutella. Still wasn't anything to write home about. And lastly, the cinnamon roll. I had never had a cinnamon roll so tasteless. If we hadn't taken the food home to eat it would have been returned. I was impressed with this service. Very friendly and made you feel at home. It was my sons birthday and he got a free cinnamon roll which was huge and delicious. He also had a huge bacon and egg omelette. My daughter had a Mexican omelette which she said was pretty good. My wife had the veggie omelette which was made with fresh veggies. And lastly I had the crab cake Benedict. Very nice crab cake which went well with the flavorful hollindaise sauce. Not a fishy but well balanced seafood taste. Very impressed with this breakfast. My husband and I loved this place, the first 2 times we were there we had a good experience, however, this past weekend we came in for breakfast, we had to wait about 45 minutes to get out food, tables around us who were seated after us got their food before us. I am not sure if the server forgot to place our order or if they had any other issue, then I got my food, I ordered over medium eggs and my eggs were over cooked. A couple of weeks ago my daughter and I were out running errands and had just missed the breakfast hour for most fast food places. We were hungry and wanted breakfast food but I had really been looking for something quick since we had so much to do. Luckily, I was able to get on the list via the Yelp app and only had a 5 minute wait when we arrived. I'm so glad we decided to give it a try! I had the french toast and she had huevos rancheros. It was a lot of food! Lucky for me, I'm training for a triathlon and had a half marathon the next week because I was a member of the clean plate club that day! All of the food was delicious and the service was fast. The place was pretty busy being Mother's Day weekend, but we arrived just as things were slowing down so we didn't feel rushed or crowded. I did get my toast switched out for hash browns and the hash browns weren't as cooked and crispy as I hoped, but with a little tobasco it turned out great.
